They were overwhelmingly just avocado and chewy sausage pieces, so next time I would probably try something else as this one was not worth the price. My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, so I would probably try something from their large variety of sandwiches. However, the coffee made this visit worth it. The ambiance is very bright, airy, and open! Coffee Society is very cute and aesthetically pleasing, and their holiday decor was very fun! Instead, the décor felt a bit mismatched, almost like the café had expanded over time and the two sides were decorated very differently. That said, one thing they absolutely got right was the amount of seating. There were plenty of tables and space to work, study, or catch up with a friend without feeling crowded. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom didn't feel clean, there were stains on the floors, chipped paint and damaged walls, crumbs around the couches and on some of the chairs, and the dish return bins were noticeably dirty inside. I stayed for about 90 minutes, and during that time I didn't see any cleaning happening, even though there were several areas that clearly needed attention. None of these issues alone would have been a dealbreaker, but together they made the café feel neglected and took away from what otherwise could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

It's a little disconcerting as folks in line want to leave the doorway space clear for entrance and exit, but then folks coming in arent sure where to go to actually get in line. Maybe a velvet rope and arrow to direct traffic? Again, this place is quite large -- with very high ceilings. That means it's LOUD, not exactly a cozy coffee vibe. I thought I'd heard they do Bible studies here during the week. That sounded lovely, until I found myself leaning over the counter each time the barista asked me a question because I had no clue what she was saying. How would that study work when you are constantly raising your voice to be heard? Finally, though my roulade was delish, as was my friend's (ugh) pumpkin spice latte, her iced pumpkin bread left much to be desired. The icing was cracked and falling off and the center of the slice still was cold, suggesting "fresh" from the freezer, despite having been warmed behind the counter. This is a review from a former employee from a few years ago so some of this info may be outdated. DO NOT GO HERE! The store manager at the time I worked her was an ULTRA abusive bitch who would constantly insult her employees, yell at them and blame them for all of HER problems. She would do this like a crazy person even though the majority of her employees are 15-17 years old. Working at this place was a fucking nightmare because of her. Seriously, if she's still there then I can garuntee you that you can ask any employee that for some reason has stayed there more than a month, and they will tell you that people join and quit within a week all the time. When I worked there, literally every one of them said it's because how much of a bitch the store manager is. I would like to discourage as many people as possible from supporting this place until that store manager is removed if she hasn't been already. Fuck this place and everything about it, but fuck her especially. Don't give them your money, the bitch of a manager demoralizes people so much that it's a slow place anyways. Ever wonder why it's so slow? Sometimes it's because a customer demands two dozen custom doughnuts from the drive thru, but mostly it's because that bitch makes no one want to put out the effort less she percieves they did something wrong and screams at them in front of customers like the crazy bitch she is. read more

Thats ridiculous. No common sense from these employees. That's when they charged me twice for the same order. Great. Completely incompetent. They had to call the manager Steve in, who sorta fixed the issue but short changed me. I didn't notice that until I got home. But he had another woman make my order while he worked on refunding me (incorrectly) and I was focused on that. I didn't want dirty fingernails making my food. ICK! Also, I always order the herby turkey with extra tomato spread, which they charge extra for. Fine, whatever. But I just sat down to enjoy the herby turkey. There is ZERO TOMATO SPREAD ON HERE WHATSOEVER. Charged me extra for it, charged me TWICE for it... and there is not one drop of tomato spread on this sandwich at all. Lovely How difficult is it to follow simple directions? To wash your hands while preparing someone else's food? To train your staff how to operate a register without screwing customers out of their own money? And to get one straight forward order correct, especially when the customer PAID MORE for it?! Absolutely PATHETIC. Brueggers should be ashamed. Every time I stop here regardless of the location, my order is never correct. Not once. The staff is less than competent and don't know what the hell they're doing. I'm trying to get rid of the balance on my account so I can done with them for good. Bruegger's used to be packed all the time with customers. It wasn't today. Like not at all. I can easily see why. When you screw customers out of their money, can't follow simple instructions and never get their order right, you're heading for locations to close permanently. And truthfully, I'd be happy to see this franchise close. They can't seem to do anything right. Their management doesn't care either and never answers the phone or calls back. Omaha, you want delicious bagels with a friendly, intelligent staff? BAGEL BIN! They're local with great owners. They'll be getting my business from now on.
