If there was zero rating, I would choose that. This was my first time ordering from them and my last. I ordered off DoorDash and the breadsticks did not say anything about a dipping sauce it came with. So I added into the special instructions that I wanted a ranch and a marinara since I ordered TWO breadsticks. Once the pizza was delivered to my house I got a message that they charged me an extra $2.28 because of my instructions. I called over to the place and the guy that answered said the breadsticks come with a ranch. I explained to him that it does not say that when you order hence the reason I added it into the instructions. If I was ADDING a sauce there was a button for that which I didn't hit. The guy on the phone just sat there and did not speak back with a solution or anything at that. You know, sometimes reviewing businesses can be very difficult just for the simple fact that you meet an owner of a business that you like because he or she or they are so personable they have great customer service, and everything about them says that the business should be amazing. For this little hole-in-the-wall pizza place, the owner told me he has had the business for about three years and unfortunately, I just don't see the cleanliness in the restaurant that I would like to see the windowsills are all dirty the LED lights are falling, there is dirt buildup around the edges of the counter, dead flies. The floor is dirty. I just truly feel that this little restaurant should be taken so much better care of than what I was able to see when I walked in. I do think that because they are located near a school. It is a great business practice that they sell pizza by the slice and the price seems reasonable for that since most kids do not have a lot of money to spend from the other pictures on Yelp that I see of the pizza that has been made. I don't see too many issues personally, I did not try the food here unfortunately due to the cleanliness issues that I saw I wouldn't try the food but as far as financially I see that this business could be very successful just for the simple fact that it's pretty much takeout only they do have a few foldable chairs and two foldable tables that I saw that are very small And again for me that goes back to the whole cleanliness factor. You don't have a whole lot to clean and everything can be moved relatively easily so I believe that this restaurant should be spotless almost all the time. Again, I can see where this business would lose a lot of money. I do see a lot of unnecessary expenditures, and I also see quite a few things that could be changed easily that would better fit the aesthetic of a pizza place and probably draw more customers in. I do think with some help this business could thrive, especially in the area that it's in even though it's almost directly located across the street from another pizza restaurant. Maybe at a later date, I would go in and revisit this location to see if things have changed, and then possibly try the food as from when I could see it looks like it could be good but until some changes are made, I probably will not be visiting read more

Ordered a pizza, this place is very convenient for me and I picked up pizza. The pizza was ordered with light sauce and was very clear when ordering over the phone. Said very light sauce. When picking up I opened the pizza and the pizza sauce was packed in there all along the edges of crust and thick throughout the pizza. I asked politely if that is considered light sauce and the girl working said yes that is light sauce. You wouldn't believe the amount of sauce on that pizza. She said she couldn't remake it and I was out of luck. I asked her to call the manager or owner. Then she proceeded telling the owner that the pizza had light sauce on it and the customer was wrong and fought hard to not remake a medium 1 topping pizza. In the end they remade the pizza but it took a big event to have them remake. I ordered pizza from New York pizza on bruceville road. The Chicago thickness and it was thick, soft and chewy. I dont live close to that location so I ordered from the closer location on elk grove florin. Holy crap it was a monumental mistake. It does not look anything like the one I got from the bruceville location. I used to work at a pizza restaurant and this looks like regular dough thickness. Not only does it look like regular dough -- I highly doubt this was allowed to ferment long enough because it's tough, super chewy. I called about this and the staff was pretty rude citing go to the other location if you want it like that. I'd give it negative stars if possible. Don't waste your time and money with this establishment. Go to the bruceville location. There's a thin layer of toppings. I tried to soldier down the pizza but gave up after a few slices. TL;DR: Pretty okay/good special for Monday and Tuesday (BOGO); wonky pricing system; Pizza is great for Kids, but I prefer other places. Location: Located on Elk Grove-Florin Rd in the same shopping center as a dry cleaner and a Mexican meat market. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. Pizza: So preface I've been in a little writing funk lately, but my experience here has shaken me out of my writing funk. Any ways, I took advantage of their Monday & Tuesday deal, which is buy one get one pizza. I ordered 1 combo pizza and a half chicken garlic and half all meat. Total is about 32 something. If you look at their gallery on their website. They show pizza that's loaded with toppings and most of their older yelp photos are the same. However, If you look at the recent photos on Yelp there really aren't that many. Any ways, the amount of toppings was adequate. If you like a lot of toppings go to Delish Pizza on Folsom Blvd. As for the quality of toppings, I personally like nice long strips of onions and bell peppers. New York Pizza they cut the toppings much smaller like 1 inch. Although the toppings on this pizza were a little too diced up for me, I did like the crust on the pizza. Other Pizza places: Comparison to other pizzas near by, I think Old Town Pizza and Taphouse has better toppings. New York Pizza must have some sort of dynamic pricing going on because a Medium gourmet pizza is $17 + $5 for upsize to XL =Total $22 + Tax ($2.04) (these numbers have been pulled on NY Pizza's website). A XL gourmet pizza should be about $24.04 with sales tax. However, I paid $32.85, so there's some sort of wonky price system that isn't clear. If I paid the amount posted on the website for two pizzas then this is easily a 4.5 or 5 if you include value in your rating. But the pricing isn't straight forward or maybe it hasn't been updated. Comparing it to other pizza places that have a BOGO deals on Monday/Tuesday like Pizza guys (Costs about the same). I would have to pick Pizza Guys over New York Pizza, due to my last experience at pizza guys they were a little more heavy handed with the toppings. Overall: While I did enjoy the crunchy crust of the pizza, I don't think I would order again any time soon. You can see the pictures for toppings references. read more

My daughter and I used to walk here during the pandemic, get a slice and walk home. We hadn't been there since so we decided to return today. Apparently it is under new ownership. We ordered slices of pizza and drinks and said we would eat there. However, the little table was sticky and dirty. I asked for a wet rag to clean the table. The cashier who took our order said they don't have wet cleaning rags. I asked for whatever they use to clean. She asked the man making pizzas then handed us some wet wipes. I cleaned the table myself while she sat on a chair and did nothing. I showed her the filthy wipes and told her that's how dirty the table was. She didn't seem to care so I told her that's a health code violation. Again, blank stare. When we finished eating (pizza is just so-so), I asked where we should toss our paper plates. There was no trash can. She said there was a garbage can outside. I saw none. She insisted there was one. She finally agreed to take our plates and throw them in their trash but we had to clear the table and bring them to her. As we left, I saw a garbage can down at the end of the walk. Enjoyed the NY Garlic Artichoke Pizza, would rate it a solid 9/10, they were generous with the toppings which was nice. I've been coming here for years. I've been let down enough to where I'm never coming back.. They made my pizza incorrectly, which is not a big deal. They simply forgot to add a topping. But instead of fixing it correctly and remaking the pizza, the lady crumples up some extra salami, and throws it on top after the pizza was already cooked. With everything being so expensive these days it's really not OK to cut corners with your regular customers people that support your business day in and day out. I ordered another pizza be done correctly and paid for both without making an issue. The second pizza I received was rushed through the oven, so it was cold, and the cheese was hardly melted.... Not only that but they were super scampi with the toppings instead of adding whole pepperoni they cut them all I'm half.. Like you've already screwed me once let's just keep it going, right!!!! I could tell that the gentleman behind the counter did not care at all ... No one apologize for the mixup, but they were all too. Happy to charge my card again. Me and my brother ordered a pizza and when my brother got home realized they gave us the wrong pizza. When he called back he was told to call again 10 minutes later to talk to the owner because he was out delivering pizzas. No big deal to us, we called back and boy.. He was unfortunately, quite rude. It allowed me to select up to 3 toppings and I had to add the other 2 toppings as extra. It charged me $2.50 each additional topping. I brought that up to the staff and a manager came out and acted like I was trying to scam them. I was just trying to get clarification that the 5 topping CYO is just that, 5 toppings for the price. The online system only allowed me to select 3 toppings as part of the pizza. He tried to explain to me that I only selected 3 toppings and the 2 extra toppings are extra charge. WTF? This is solely based on taste. I'd rate it a 4.1/10. There's many pizza places around the country that don't look fancy, are old, etc. But the only thing that matters is taste. This was Costco pizza and honestly Costco pizza might be better so my apologies to Costco.
