Can't go wrong with a pepperoni pizza. But even just a cheese is amazing here. I feel like this is the only Lampost location that makes it right. Service is very quick, even on a busy day. The atmosphere is lively, just like any other pizza joint. The pepperonis cook to a nice crisp over the very thick layer of cheese. The cheese is the perfect amount of salty too. I can't get enough. We decided to order 2 extra large pizzas tonight and also ordered ranch on the side from Lamppost Pizza in Elk Grove,CA. When we opened the ranch there was a piece of long black hair in it! Disgusted we threw it out, but proceeded to eat a pizza slice. Then ANOTHER long piece of blonde hair was found after taking a bite of the pizza!!!! Fucking gross like we paid $59 dollars for this?! We called Lamppost and explained the situation, the only resolution offered was a new pizza. However, several of us weren't comfortable eating another pizza, so we asked for another option. The cashier placed me on hold while she spoke to the manager. After a minute the cashier came back and said all she could do is make another pizza or give a mere $10 toward the next pizza LOL what a joke! I said that wasn't acceptable so she asked if I want to speak to the manager so I said yes. The manager got on the phone and offered to remake the pizza and offered delivery if we live close.. NO APOLOGIES WERE GIVEN!! We offered to return the uneaten pizza and the business refused. The manager then tried to only refund 1 pizza and 1 ranch. At this point we've asked multiple times for a refund! She finally seemed as if she was irritated with us and gave in and said she would give a full refund. The manager was extremely rude and hung up abruptly without confirming our contact information! NEVER COMING AGAIN I ADVISE YOU ALL TO SKIP THIS PLACE! I always get a bit stingy whenever I come here since the pizzas are overpriced for the amount you get. I've only been here twice only because I wanted to come out to support the COHS soccer team fundraiser. The extra large pizza is basically the size of what you'd think a medium would be, being 16" with only 12 slices. I ordered an Xlarge pizza with no toppings and nothing else and the total turned out to be $23. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed and the restaurant itself has very dim lighting- kinda feels like a bar. The plus side is that if you're a big sports fans there are 6 large flatscreen TVs for your enjoyment. The pizzas here tastes fine but I'd probably won't come back here anytime soon. read more

Lamppost Pizza makes their Margherita Pizza quite differently at this location. What I have been accustomed to at other pizza establishments is to have the main ingredients, such as whole slices of round tomato and fresh basil leaves, baked with the pizza in the oven. Well, it's different here... Instead of round slices of tomatoes, they chop (cube style) the tomatoes and just place it on top of the pizza and use basil flakes instead of fresh basil leaves. It looks like a plain cheese pizza with tomatoes on top. As I stated earlier, it's different for me, but I'm not going to disrespect how their style of pizza is prepared because many places cook it differently. I've included a pic of what my pizza looks like just as a reference for whoever decides to order the Margherita Pizza in the future, so you have idea what you're getting. Customer service was great. This is hands down my favorite pizza place for delivery! Though the prices are higher then other chain pizza places the pizza is fresh and I love their mozzarella. Every time I call its nice that I can give them my phone number and it tells them what I ordered last time. They always kindly ask if I would like to order what I had last time and even review what that is just in case I may have ordered pizza on a drunken stooper lol. The place is always clean I like their pizza deals to help ease the pricing when you purchase a second pie for 40% off. But of all the things I would only stick with their pizzas and salads. Their appetizers and sandwiches I can do without. Wings are kind of soggy and other items are just gross such as their potato wedges, poppers, etc. Since their business is pizza and service are on point it's not a reason to mark them down. I tried to place an order for delivery the lady on the phone told me they don't deliver to my area, even though I ordered two weeks ago and they happily delivered it to my house, so they pick and choose when and where they wanna deliver to But whatever so I said I'll go pick it up 2nd. For the last month we have tried this place four times, every time the pizza was cold( pick up and dine in, not sure how that is possible). The service and quality of ingredients at Lamppost Pizza are impeccable. We heard good things about this place and had a hankering for some pizza last night. The joint was busy...lots of kids and their parents. We had already figured out what to order from their online menu so it was bing bang boom...In and out in 20 minutes. We ordered a large 1/2 vegetarian (sub garlic sauce) and 1/2 all-star chicken. I have never thought of putting avocado on a pizza before...I didn't even think that was possible. If you like avocado, this pizza was pretty interesting and definitely worth a try. The ingredients were what really impressed me. The veggies were incredibly fresh and plentiful. The crust had a good bite and held the toppings well...almost smelled like sourdough? I believe we met the owner last night. He said that we would be moving in a couple of weeks to the old Strings location not too far down. They're going to be having an all day all you can eat salad bar. We have been coming here since they moved locations from the back of the lot by Safeway to up front facing Laguna Blvd. It started with getting the bum's rush after 8 pm for dine in, and if you showed up after 9:15 you could forget about dine in at all. Then, for some reason, putting in the bar area correspondended to hordes of children running around screaming, fighting over the arcade games, and crashing into your dining chair or table. Although, the bar area was nice for adults to have a beer. Finally, we called this week for delivery and were answered with a sullen "no delivery." No explanation about what happened to delivery, if this situation is temporary, and their website advertised delivery. We will continue to frequent other locations. read more

Lamppost is usually one of my families favorites; however, when we ordered our pizza today that changed. We ordered a thick crust pizza and it was not cooked all the way. The cheese was melted the crust was great but underneath the cheese was very doughy dough. When I called the manager didn't great when she answered the phone just said "hello" when I told her our pizza wasn't cooked all the way and it was really doughy she told me it's supposed to be a little bit doughy because "that's the purpose of a thick crust"( never heard of that before. We order thick crust wherever we go). She only offered us $5 on our next purchase or to recook the pizza we already had(we could do that at home). We definitely will not be returning. read more
