It was easy to use, the lighting and photo quality and prints came out amazing, the props were adorable, the kids were even able to use it, and setup and takedown was quick and on schedule. Bad: The attendant asked my sister in law if he could get any alcohol (we don't drink and didn't have alcohol) and I was told he seemed bummed when he couldn't get a drink... As the bride I was not involved with this but the way I hear it it was a little bizarre. After the event I can't get ahold of them. 5 emails later trying to get the photos I still haven't heard back or gotten any follow up so 2 months later I still haven't even been able to see the photos. As far as quality of the product I would give 4 stars and as far as client service and communication I would give 2, so i give it a 3 overall. I am hoping that I will finally get some attention from the company after publicly voicing my opinion on yelp.

The room was totally empty, so we had the Photofox "hedge wall" decorated with flowers and used as a backdrop for the wedding (beautiful). Then, after the ceremony, the hedge wall became the backdrop for the photo-booth. When the dancing started, everyone was lining up for photos.... which turned out perfectly. It really "Made" the wedding, and gave everyone photo memories to take home. They were fabulous, the set up perfect, and the outcome exactly as I wanted. I TOTALLY recommend them for any event!!

A bunch of us were having a…read moregreat time at the wedding - laughing, taking photos in the photo booth, etc. We took a lot of group photos in the booth and when the size of the group got too big, we accidentally shifted the photo booth back an inch. The attendant literally SCREAMED at our group and said, "GET OUT! GET OUT!! GET OUTTT NOW!!!!!!" Big-eyed and bewildered, we immediately exited the photo booth feeling like we were children getting reprimanded by our parent. I understand he had an obligation to make sure the photo booth stayed in tact, but there is absolutely no need to SCREAM at a group of adults in their mid-30s and completely damper the mood of the wedding. The bride was also in the photo booth at the time, so to have one of her vendors demean her in front of her guests is unacceptable.You are in the service industry. You service people. Have a little more dignity in the way you speak to your customers. Their booth is also so small that any group with more than five people is considered "large." My husband who is 6'2" stood as far back in the booth as possible, and the photos still cut off his entire forehead and eyebrows. Ridiculous. This could be easily fixed if they just got a better lens. Last, the photo booth only prints ONE sheet of photos and the attendant cuts them in to two strips. The attendant REFUSED to print additional prints. For all the other weddings I've attended (including my own), attendants print as many copies as the guests request. That's called customer service. If Booth 4 wants to compete in an already saturated market, they will need to step up their game.

I even had my Great Aunts and Uncles jumping in with their feather boas and Flava Flave over sized clocks ! They provided all of the props and even a scrapbook along with the embellishments. She helped put it all together as friends and family were taking pictures and I got to look through it that same night! It was just fun to see everyone stepping out of their element to be fun and goofy. Mae was quick to respond to all of my questions and she went above and beyond to make sure our guests enjoyed themselves. She even went as far as sending me samples of the layout and color of our artwork and lighting of the strip. Super professional and easy to work with!

It was perfect! Everybody could take as many pictures as they wanted and take home the pictures at the end of the night. In addition they helped to create and design our guest sign-in book with the pictures. Each picture they took one copy would go to them and the other one would go in our guest book. The book was amazing because in 30 years who knows if I will remember certain people by just their name! I now have an amazing guest book with pictures and comments from all the people at our wedding. If you think all of this is amazing we also got all of the pictures from the photobooth on a DVD. This was the BEST thing we ever did at our wedding!! People are still talking about how much fun they had dressing up and taking pictures in the photobooth! Mae and her husband were amazing at helping us arrange all the details from the choice to have costumes, to the cutouts that we wanted in the book. We were even able to add our own special touch to each photo strip by putting a picture of Monterey w/ our names and the date. For all that we got it was worth every penny and I highly recommend them!

Photo Booth industry is saturated right now. It takes time to go through all the different…read morecompanies. With so many Photo Booth companies out there, why did I pick CalMax? Ultimately, the person looking for a photobooth should know why they want to go with a specific company. What I can tell you is what you will get if you pick CalMax. Included with the price is a choice of the 2 side by side strips or the single layout with 4 photos. You get a choice of templates and they are able to customize some things on it for your event if you wish. The price also includes great props. The setup is nice and I can assure you it works for an outdoor setup (for example at a park--pending there is an outlet or generator) because I had mine outdoors. What I like about CalMax's setup is the open air type booth. They have a nice black backdrop so it gives plenty of room for everybody instead of trying to squeeze into a booth. As for the print quality? Just as nice! Colors are nice and vibrant. They print quick and if you need duplicates of a certain print, no problem just ask. The booth does actually use a real DSLR camera and not a cheap CMOS or anything inferior to a DSLR. That is why the quality of the digital photos that they will supply after the event will be of nice quality as well. The photos print out quick too, so there is not much waiting. The overall setup is very clean, organized, and professional, so it will look nicely setup at your event. They also have a canopy setup if needed depending on the light situation. They will be ready depending on the space. Finally, I can't say enough great things about Ben. He helped me throughout the process of booking them and customizing some things .Then when I met him finally in person the day of the event, he was very easy to work with. Very nice and jolly guy. With everything these days being based on reviews online, of course I was a bit skeptical since there wasn't any reviews on Yelp, but I'm glad I took the leap to pick them. They had very competitive prices yet still maintain the high quality we all look for combined with a great friendly staff. All my guests enjoyed using the photobooth and I know who I will be calling next time I need a photobooth.
