This dentist is seriously the best office I have ever encountered. They are super nice, if you're nervous about visiting the dentist, this is the place to go. The office is super clean and bright. Nothing to make you run out of the place. The exam rooms are open and comfortable. They are very efficient and the dentist is really amazing. Very honest and straight forward. I've been here a few times to get all sorts of work done, ranging from cleaning to getting two crowns put in. Overall, the dental work was fine but the office was running late many times and I sat in the chair waiting for a long time on multiple occasions. I understand they have a business to run so they have to schedule lots of clients but they need to understand that a lot of us have to take time off work and they're literally costing us money making us sit around. If it was only one time I wouldn't be bothered but I once made their first appointment thinking I wouldn't be tied up and the doctor was late! Dr. Mitch and Dr. Robinson are amazing! They make sure that you are really comfortable and go above and beyond every time I see them. They spend a lot of time with you and make you feel special. Dr. Mitch even worked past closing time when I had a little dental emergency and performed "hero"dontics to save my tooth. They really care about their patients here, and the whole office staff is really great. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but they make it as enjoyable as it could possibly be! I've been going to Lancaster Dental Group for years, first, as a patient of Dr Barry, and now Dr. Mitch who has passionately continued on the tradition of his father. I was in pain over the weekend and On Monday morning, I yelped for dental offices in the area. After reading great reviews I decided to go with Lancaster Dental group. They were able to give me a sane day appointment. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice and welcoming. I was referred to an oral surgeon for my extractions. They referral worked out well and I was able to get my extractions done as soon as I left their office. I will definitely return for more routine dental work. This is without a doubt the best dental office in the Antelope Valley. I am very afraid of dentists, but dr. mitch is able to calm my fears and get me through a session without having to resort to drugs or other means. I have found him to be gentle and very thorough. he always explains what he's going to do before he does it and then tells me what he's doing as he does it. He always make sure I understand all the options that I have and that what are the pros and cons to each. Whenever I have had an emergency the front office works diligently to get me in as soon as possible. they have always worked with me to try and schedule my appointments as conveniently as possible. they have a pleasant manner and never get upset even when I am. I have never reviewed anyone on Yelp before but I felt I needed to to this for others so they can make their own judgement. I have not been to the dentist for over 10+ years because I never had insurance, but finally got some and the Lancaster Dental Group was issued to me. I called them and about a month later I had a appointment for X-rays and a cleaning. I get to the appointment , they take the X-rays then say that they will not be doing the cleaning because I need a deep cleaning. Well, OK. Then they hand me this outrageous list of deep cleaning as well as one root canal and crown, then another crown and one cavity that needed filling. I then made an appointment to have the filling done, which was about another month out. In the mean time I go to another dentist for a second opinion. And as I expected there was a lot more needed than that, the deep cleaning was the least of my worries. I indeed did need a root canal and crown on the one tooth and a crown on the second, but on the one they said needed a cavity my dentist said you may need a root canal on that tooth as well the decay is pretty deep. PLUS you have 5 other teeth that need crowns. So, I went to Lancaster Dental Group for my filling appointment trying to save some money. First of all, no one there listens to anything I had to say. I have never liked the dentist in the past because when ever I had work done they never listened to me about the fact that the numbing medicine wears off real quick on me and it needs to administered differently, so of course since he did not listen he left me too long and when he started drilling I FELT EVERYTHING and he never bothered to ask me once if I was ok, and at that point I was not going to say anything. He worked quickly and I was out pretty quick, which I was happy for BUT on the way home I am feeling little pieces of stuff coming out of that tooth and I got worried, then looking back now I had a problem with cold but yet was still not eating on that side. That night I was like "I really don't think this filling was done right cause It feels like it has mostly fallen out. I wait till my other dental appointment which was only a week and a couple days after my appointment at Lancaster Dental Group and ask my now dentist to look at the filling and he said thats all it needed was a filling?" and I said well the Lancaster Dental Group never mentioned anything else. He took a look at it and said "you only have half a filling in that tooth, but that is actually a good thing because I can also see that they did not get all the decay out so you would of had to have a root canal done before too long. So then I had to have my dentist drill out what little was left of the filling and go quite a bit farther and he said it was just on the cusp of needing a root canal, if you would have waiting much longer it would have had to be a root canal. I am very thankful for my new dentist. And to top it all off as I am typing this review I get a call from them asking me if I want to make an appointment for my teeth cleaning. All they are interested in in the all mighty dollar, not the health or pain free treatment of their patients. I am sorry but I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE EVER AGAIN! read more

I recently moved to the Antelope Valley for work and was looking for a Dentist, and found this place on Yelp with good reviews. I made an appointment and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful getting my insurance squared away before my appointment. The office aspect of this Dental group was very friendly and professional. However, when I was taken back to see the Dentist, things quickly went downhill. They took X Rays, and then the Dentist came in to take a look at them, and without even looking in my mouth, he told me I would need a Root Canal, 7 Fillings, and 2 Crowns. This came completely out of left field to me, as I keep pretty good but not great care of my mouth, was experiencing absolutely 0 pain, and the last time I saw a dentist, which was in early 2014, I was told there was only one tooth that might become a cavity but otherwise my mouth was very healthy. So being told that I would need all this work done without ever having the dentist look in my mouth was quite a surprise. After this diagnosis, he peeked in my mouth for less than a minute and said I would definitely need the root canal done within the next month or two. He left, and the 'cleaning' began. The hygienist polished my teeth for less than 5 minutes, and that was it. No flossing, no rinses, nothing. Just a really quick polish and a request to schedule my root canal appointment ASAP. I left the office feeling very upset, and sketched out. Luckily, I was already flying home this weekend for a visit, and called my old regular dentist to see if he could give me a second opinion. I forwarded him the X-rays that were taken at this Dental office, and when he looked and them and thoroughly inspected my mouth, he said there was absolutely no reason to believe I would need a root canal, or any crowns. He did find 1 filling that would need to be done. In summary, a Dentist at Lancaster Dental Group said I would need a Root Canal, 7 Fillings, and 2 Crowns before he ever looked into my mouth. My home dentist said I would need 1 filing done. I would avoid this dentist unless you are OK with them drilling into your mouth and your wallet for no reason. read more

Very very pleased with this office ! I found them on yelp and read through the reviews. As a regular yelper I always know who's real to yelp and who is fake (leaving one review and its negative) That's called a rant and I don't tend to listen to those i make choices based on all of them. So back this this wonderful practice. I picked my insurance and paid a little more just so I could come here. I loved the smiling faces on here and that i was able to see what my doctor looks like before I came. So I pick this place call them to set up the first apt for my husband and myself and there was trouble with the insurance and a lot of things I didn't know when I was calling to make the first appointments . The staff was so calm and so so sweet even when I got irritated they were so good at explaining everything to me that I felt very relieved and they calmed me down and they did everything on their end to help us with the insurance problem. Having gone to a 'top' 'celebrity' dentist on the westside of LA for 20+ years, I had moved, and was referred to Dr. Mitch Wechsler and Lancaster Dental Group. I have been there at least 4 times. My experience was transforming. Beautiful, modern, squeaky clean office in a nice commercial center, pleasant and cheery staff, and attentive professional care... all I could ask for. Dr. Mitch was gentle, caring (keeps asking: "are you alright?"), and communicative about what he would do, how he would do it, and why. He is a grad of UCLA Dental School (one of the very best in the country), has the latest equipment, and he and his staff make you feel comfortable and at ease. Not once did I experience any significant pain or discomfort. My only regret is that it took me so long to get to him. I was looking for a new dentist and had heard great things about the clinic. The receptionists and assistant were wonderful and helpful. What bothered me was the lack of radiation safety, I had to ask for a thyroid guard AFRER a few radiographs were taken which was concerning, more so when rhebassistant said thet typically dont use thyroid guards on their patients. I was also asked to use my hand (without proper protection) to hold a plastic instrument during radiographs (which I did not comply with). I was shocked that glasses were not offered during the ultrasonic cleaning as water, and oral bacteria, was splashing in my eyes. The cleaning did not seem thorough, the exam appeared brief, and the dentist seemed like he had already had a very long day. This is definitely not a clinic I will be returning to, but maybe I just had a bad experience and it is typically a better experience for most. read more
