Been driving Land Rover for more than 8 years, from Jaguar XF to LR evoque to the rang rover sport. The LR Sport is a nightmare. The car was brand new at the time I bought it, and it started showing coolant level low warning after I drove couple thousands miles. I bought the car back to the dealership and they said there was nothing wrong with it. They filled the coolant for me. However, the warning kept coming up for around 1.5 - 2 months and I had to drove back to the dealership to fill the coolant... Finally, they found out there was an issue inside the plastic staff that caused my car's coolant leaking, this process took them a year to find out. After the last repair, my car was't show up the coolant level low warning for around 5 to 6 months. The warning came back again after that and I took the car back to the dealership to check. But, again similar situation, they said there was nothing wrong with it and they filled the coolant for me. HOWEVER, I was driving back to the dealership almost every 1.5 month for refilling my coolant, and someone even said it might due to the weather change at LA since it's too hot lol I took my car back last month for the coolant warning again and my car's mileage was approaching 50,000 mile warranty. They filled the coolant for me again and no issue found. But, when I revisited the dealership again for my coolant warning issue, they finally found out my coolant was leaking again and I would need to pay the repair fee if I want to fix it because my car's mileage was over 50,000 mile, outside of the warranty. I asked why u couldn't have told me the issue earlier and the answer I got was the leaking from the hose wasn't noticeable and had smell, until later. I don't know if this is a normal practice at the location or it's my car's issue. I still have to fix my car for the coolant hose issue, but no more business at this location. This 3-year long relationship with Land Rover change my attitude and trust toward the brand. I am still thinking if I should still buy the car from LR, or end my relationship with the brand, and buy from other brand for my next purchase. read more

I Leased 2018 DISCOVERY from different dealership, and it was time for 1st service. After 2 moths waiting for the appointment, I took my car today, first thing they asked "Is the car leased from us"? I said No. After everything was OK and they agreed to provide me with a loaner car, the Service guy I don't want to mention his name, because my previous Service manager Mr Peter is no longer there, so this new guy gives me the paperwork to sign, I realized there's $399.99 charge. I asked isn't the first time service included with my lease? He said no, we don't offer that any more. So I refused the service and took it to my own mechanic. This is my 4th Range Rover, and I don't think I will continue to lease or purchase another Range Rover. You guys lost another Customer! read more

Unhappy, recently (4 months ago) picked up my second Land Rover and while it is beautiful and luxurious vehicle, the check engine light came on after only 3,000 miles. When I called the service department I was told they could not take me without an appointment and the soonest available was 8-10 days out. Frustrated, I asked if it was normal to have a check engine light come on in less than 4 months and if it was safe to drive. The service advisor's reply was, "if I had a dollar for every time this happened." I was put off by this and stated that I hoped that the $100k+ vehicles they sold didn't have this issue happen with such great frequency that you could quantify in dollars. The service advisor's next response put me over the top. He stated, "you're not the only person who spent that amount of money on a vehicle." Unhelpful, dismissive, completely worthless. Although I have had nothing but positive experiences here in the past and they are the closest to me, I will never return. Even after speaking to the manager, who I called immediately after my phone call with the service advisor. We bought a car here, but only because we were looking for a specific car with specific features and they happened to have it. I felt bad I couldn't buy the car from Land Rover South Bay where we were treated much better and given much more attention. It seemed the sales team could honestly care less if we bought a car from them or not and gave us very little attention. They didn't go over anything with the car and passed us off to someone else in the middle of the process. The salesman told us over the phone it was going to be a busy day, but that we wouldn't see any difference in our treatment and he was experienced bouncing between several buyers at the same time. It was painfully obvious they needed more staff because it did not feel good to be buying a luxury vehicle and getting so little attention. Nobody went over any features of the car with us they basically just handed us the keys for a test drive and sent us on our way. The only thing I can think of is because we were buying used? But the vehicle still was not cheap and all customers should be treated equally. Like I said we did end up buying the car, but literally ONLY because they happened to have the car we wanted and the other dealership unfortunately didn't have it in stock. Through our process looking at various cars at various dealerships including Audi, BMW, and Volvo this was the most disappointing experience and we will not be returning to this dealership. Even after we waited hours for their one person who dealt with all the financials and paperwork to be available, we had to sit around for almost another full hour because our sales person forgot to find us and tell us that our car was ready and to give us the key. They didn't even care enough to get the key from us for our trade in and we drove off with it and then had to go back because we realized we still had the key for the car we traded in!! read more

Okay, I had a great experience with Gary. We started off rocky, he offered me a deal maybe that wasn't approved yet and then said he couldn't do it. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize it wasn't approved and I returned my other lease already. I was panicked and upset, Gary pulled through. He kept his word, made it happen for me, had integrity which I admire. Additionally he delivered the vehicle to me and being a new mother, it was an absolute life saver. I'm not close to Pasadena either.... I suggest if you're looking for a Rangerover or Landrover, you ask for Gary. Bought a "Certified" 2015 V8 Supercharged Range Rover Sport. Don't trust this dealership, whoever did the certification did the bare minimum (if anything!). When I picked up the car, both batteries were bad and the alignment was never done. 1 week later the terrain response system broke. 2 months later, BOTH control arms bushings are broken. Total damage cost: $4,000! And, of course, none of it is covered by the warrantee. I fought with them and they paid for most of it, but when you buy a "Certified" car still under warrantee, you shouldn't have to pay ANYTHING for previous damage (that's why you pay up for the "Certified." My wife and I were in the market for a car and she had always wanted a Range Rover because of how good it looked and we had previously visited another Range Rover dealership and the service we received was exceptional, even though we were not ready to purchase at the time. To keep a long story short, we ended up purchasing a car from this dealership, however there was a "misunderstanding" between us and our sales person on the car purchased. There was a lot of back and forth between us and the dealership and finally we were taken care of by the sales manager Mike. Previously, this review was a one star due to the "misunderstanding" but Mike was very professional and contacted us directly to resolve this issue and continuously followed up with me daily to provide assurance that the issue was being resolved. After resolving our issue, we were scheduled to meet with the product specialist Justin and honestly, Justin was the icing on top to our great experience with Land Rover. He was knowledgeable on every aspect of the vehicle, if you had a question, he had an answer and it was almost surprising how different a product specialist was from a sales person because from the way he described the features of the car and all the benefits and how to use it, had he been my sales person, I would have been sold within the first 10 minutes. Overall, Land Rover gets 4 stars from me, mainly due to Mike the sales manager for resolving the issue personally and for Justin's excellent explanation of the car's features. If you wish to purchase a Range Rover like I did, then I'd recommend having Justin give you the tour of the car because he will be able to answer all your questions instead of providing vague answers. read more

The first Salesman we dealt was not helpful and didn't call us when he said he would. Since Land Rover Pasadena was the closest dealership to where we lived, we decided to go back and was helped by Robert (I think that's his name). A few months after we had the car, a piece on the door panel under the speaker came undone. So I took my car to be have it fixed in November 2018. They said it would take 8 weeks or so to receive the part. Well at first the person who helped me asked if I can bring my car back when the manager returned so he can "put his eyes" on the door panel to asses it. I get a phone call that the part arrived in February. I take the car back and get up sold on having them do the first maintenance on my car as well. Only to get a phone call that the door panel that was ordered was the wrong panel and a new one would have to be ordered, which would take another 8 weeks or so. I pick up my car with the door panel not fixed and pay over $800 for the service. So, here we are at the end of May and still no door panel. read more

Land Rover Pasadena Service Department was a total clusterf**k today, 12/26/18. Peter Benavidez was my service advisor. I'm sure they have better days otherwise they wouldn't be in business very long but this wasn't one of them. This was my first service (oil/filter change and tire rotation) for a new car purchased from another dealer (due to better deal) a few months ago. Here's how the day went: 1. I made an appointment far enough out to use LR Pasadena's loaner car service through Enterprise. I get there and am told that my car is out of warranty according to their system and as such they could not provide a loaner and could not check for any other waranty issues. Note: I'm at 9k miles on a 2017 full size Range Rover. They said I would have to clear up with other dealer to resolve the system issue based on the vin. Wtf? Can't any LR dealership figure this computer stuff out w/o sending me back to the LR dealership where I bought originally? Second, why can't LR Pasadena give me the benefit of doubt until obvious internal computer records are corrected and provide me the $30/day loaner? After all I did just buy a new car that msrp's for $100k+. LR Pasadena resolution: they provided 2 way shuttle instead, which is ok but not the level of service I would have expected. 2. Oil/filter change and tire rotation estimates at $420. That's $320 + $100. Pretty spendy but when I signed, I agreed to the price. Which also means I expect it to be right. I leave dealer for my next desti and checked the onboard tire pressure monitor which indicated the following pressures in psi: FL 49, FR 43, RL 42, and RR 49. Spec is 37 for front and 44 for rear. Seems to me they only rotated 1 side of car and also overinflated each tire. LR Pasadena resolution: bring it back, which I declined due to work obligations and inconvenience. I'll just refill fronts/rears to spec and if they botched the rotation, I'll just have to live with, even though I paid for this. I sent Peter a pic of the readings asking him for an explanation but none was offerred. 3. At pickup they give me the key but I have trouble starting the car. I asked Peter for help and when he comes over I'm able to start the car. Helpful guy, right? I get to my next destination and can't start the car. I get "wrong key" message. Peter gave me someone else's key at pick up and must have had my real key in his pocket when he came to "help" me! At this point I'm super pissed since I'm stranded. They offer to send my key out to me but I'm late for work and it's easier/closer to get a family member to bring me a spare key. 4. I called Peter to let him know that I'm completely dissatisfied with my service experience and would like to receive something in return for the inconvenience and lack of follow through. Peter let me know that they have followed through on everything and there's nothing he can offer me. I was livid at his response and lack of accountability. See #1-3 above, Peter. My resolution: don't come back to this place for anything. 5. I'm on the road again after getting spare key brought by a family member but LR Pasadena wants the other key back so they can get the other customer's car out. I travel for business and they want me to hold up my day even more so that they can get the key back. I let them know that since they don't think i am owed any concession, that I'm not holding up my day any further to help them correct their mistakes. I have paid them for their "service" already and I will return the key and get my original back at a later date/time. Perhaps their other customer can get a family member to bring them a spare key like I needed to. But if LR Pasadena needed my time in order that they can satisfy their other customer, they're welcome to compensate me. Peter then accuses me of holding the key hostage but I just need to get to work too. I was pissed at this response given they do something similar with $320 oil/filter changes to comply with a warranty (that I supposedly don't even have). Resolution: they ultimately refunded the oil/filter and tire rotation service, brought my key to me, and I gave them the other key back. I came in today wanting to establish a new dealer service relationship as I tend to keep cars a long time. The Range Rover is a buy and not a lease. I didn't find that new relationship but at least I learned that it won't be with LR Pasadena. Update: Thanks for the cut/paste reply, Sam S. As I read these reviews it becomes clear that LR Pasadena knows how to sell a car well, as most of the sales reviews have been very positive. As far as service reviews, I must also join the majority of reviewers that LR Pasadena deserves a one star review, as they violate every tenet of good customer service from start to finish. Here is some unsolicited advice from a consumer who has taught companies the basics of customer service for 30 years: 1) It should not take 2 weeks to schedule an appointment 2) Customers should be acknowledged when they come in for service, not have to wander around looking for someone to help them. 3) When making an appointment for an estimate, service should advise up front that there is a $200 basic service charge for diagnostic services. Especially when you are asking a customer to wait two weeks to receive an estimate. 4) The service department and parts department should take some ownership for service and not tell customers that "this is not our job", and then refer them to some other person who can help them without helping them make the connection to the other person. I will not spend any more time with this dealership either in reviews, on line or in person. Suffice to sayLR Pasadena may be a great place to buy a vehicle, but if you are looking for a quality resource for repairs, look elsewhere. Beware. read more

Take your car somewhere else, this establishment does everything possible to avoid helping with servicing vehicles. I took my vehicle in for 2 tire replacement and the service man told me they could patch a tire instead of replacing it. These tires are high performance and they can not be patched. They were putting mine and my families life in danger. Hire technicians and people that know and understand the service process for the safety of clients. I was not going to leave a review , but after being asked to leave a good review 5 times, I figured I would honor their request. I saw an ad on Autotrader for a Range Rover Sport Supercharge, no pictures, and very little details, so I emailed the dealer. The next morning , I got a call from a very nice salesperson Mardi, who quickly texted me photos and details. He said the truck was still in service and he would let me know the next day when it would be available. I thanked him and said I would wait for his call. About an hour later Mardi called back and said that the car was out of service and ready and that another sales guy had a couple coming and if I wanted it I needed to get there quick. I told him that I couldn't that it was a 2 hour drive and I guess I would lose out on the car. He said that if I filled out an online credit app that if I was approved he could get the car held for me. He assured me that he would take great care of me and that all his vehicles come with a 30 day warranty. We spoke more about the car and we spoke about the fact I would be doing a trade and cash, he asked details about my trade, asked for some photos and the vin so he could do an appraisal. I told him I had the Kbb.com guaranteed sell sheet for 9,500 and that other dealers had offered between 9 and 12k , but that I wouldn't take a penny less than 10k . He said please fill out the credit app .He called back quickly and said I was approved and that he would give me the 10k for my truck. He said his used car manager was going to start with a low ball offer but he would get it to 10k and to head down. I told him that I wasn't going to make the 2 hour drive if we were going to play games. That I didn't have time for that. He said no, no games. They would do 10k. He sent me a few more pictures and said he was driving it and that it was Mardi met us at the door, offered us a beverage and showed us the truck. It looked great, and he suggested we take a drive. So we did, the I pointed out a few things about the truck and he said he was aware and that they would be fixed. He asked if we should go back and do a deal. I said yes, let's do it. So far everything was going great. So when we get back, he says his used car guy "Mike" needed to take my truck for a drive. I said no problems and we went inside to start writing up the paperwork. I was impressed, Mardi was keeping his word and it was a great deal. Soon Mike came back and Mardi excused himself to go talk with him. After 45 minutes Mardi came and got us and said that Mike was going to play the game, he offered 8 for my truck because it was an ugly color ( Burgandy ) , but he said not to worry he knew we agreed on the 10 and he would be right back. Now I am frustrated , the games have started. Mardi comes back in and says that he can't get Mike to increase the price, but he would take $500 off the price of the truck. So it would be like getting 8500, I told him no, that wasn't our deal. He said he knew and he would be right back. This time, "Mike" came in and tried intimidating me by standing over me and told me that my truck was only worth 8k and he was going to lose money at that. And started talking down my truck, not the best way to try to get a deal. So I stood up , shook his hand and said, thanks but no thanks and that this is why used car dealers have bad reps. As I am walking out, he keeps barking at me behind my back, am I so stupid to lose the deal over 1500, how great his truck is, how bad mine is, etc... I snap at that point and tell him how he is going about this the wrong way and his truck isn't that great and point out a few things wrong with his truck, he says that he was going to have a guy fix those things, but that I was too pushy and forced them to get the car ready early. Which was not the case. I looked at Mardi and told him this was the games I was talking about and thanks for wasting my time. Mardi apologized and said that this was not the way he did business that it was all Mike. Mardi came back and said he needed to call his boss, as Mike was not budging. I told him I appreciated it, but I was done. He said to please give him a chance, he disappeared inside. I apologized to my son that this was not the way things are supposed to go, and Mardi came back and said he got Mike to come up to 9k and with the $500 off the truck I was buying we were only $500 apart and was I going to lose the deal over $500? He said he knew he said he would do 10k but that his guy was being difficult and that he sacrificed his commissions to get him up to 9k on my truck. I told him, no, he knew the deal and thanks for wasting my time. His phone rang, and he excused himself to take the call, he quickly came back and said it was his boss, and he agreed to do 9.5 on my truck and 500 off the other truck so we made the 10k. read more

We stopped in at Land Rover to check out the new models for a possible upgrade, and to inquire about some accessories. There were kids running around inside, rummaging through all the vehicles, and not a staff member in sight. There was no one at reception, and no service manager to be found. We wandered for a second inside, then right back out to our vehicle. I wouldn't have expected the blatant lack of service from Land Rover, and I'm hoping that it is just a terrible dealership. People wonder why folks are ordering vehicles and parts online. At least in this location, customer service is dead. If I had the ability to give zero stars, I would. read more

The service was gold standard, in particular, the sales representative, Thibau, who bent over backwards to take care of all the details, explained everything clearly, offered to deliver the car to our home and was just such a nice down to earth guy. He promised the paperwork would be generated quickly and seamlessly and he kept his word. In particular, I asked that at the contract signing phase my time not be wasted with endless sales or upselling opportunities, my request was fully respected. Was in a fender bender over the weekend with my 2021 Sport, so i called Land Rover Pasadena to see if they have a body shop to fix my vehicle, they say yes and give me a shop about 30 minutes away, Then when I called my insurance company they tell me there is a certified Land Rover shop in pasadena which is on their program. So sure enough i look online and they are listed on the Land Rover Authorized Aluminum Network. Why would you people have me waste my time when there are qualified shops in the area. The best car buying experience I've had in 20yrs!! I've always bought luxury sedans. So when I decided to go SUV, I wasn't 100% sure how I'd like Land Rovers. Sunday afternoon I went out to the dealership to do just a test drive. I was approached by Robert (Rob) the fantastic Sales guy. He pulled out a Discovery sport for us and we were on the road. Driving the car too a bit of getting use to as I'm use to be low to the ground. After a brief talk while walking through the lot I threw some figures at him and he said he would give me a call in a few days. No hassle to make me sit down, NO pressure to buy the car that instance, totally relaxed. Two days later we texted back and forth of the price and a day later I went on my lunch our to pick up my car. Yes lunch hour - that is how quick and efficient these people are. One star bc that's just a must. By far, worse place to buy or get your car serviced. I made an appointment to look at Range Rovers, after showing up, no one came to greet. I waited around until I asked someone in passing. The guy who was supposed to help said he got a call to sell a car over the phone & to wait. After 90 mins, my patience and business were out the door. Hornburg got my business. Shocking how Pasadena thinks $90k purchase isn't necessary or significant enough. Not a follow up call/apology. I happen to work in the area, considering the car has needed service several times already, I've tried to take it to pasadena. They are rude! Most recently, my car was shaking and didn't feel safe to drive. Took it in, a miserable looking man, Alex tells me you can leave the car, they are busy, no one will look at it for 18 days. "We can't give you a loaner, but can give you a ride locally if you'd like or leave & make an appt." Took the car to Larry at Hornburg (5 star service provider), major engine issues. Car was fixed with a brand new loaner provided. Left a message to the manager in Pasadena explaining the service, no reply. It's worth the hour in traffic to Hornburg just avoid pasadena Land Rover!! On 12/09/2019, my accountant received a new email from Enterprise saying that I still need to pay for the rental fee since Pasadena Land Rover never pays off the invoice. My accountant attempted to reach Land Rover Service Department manager Denny Valdez several times by phone and emails to request for the payment proof, they just ignore those emails and phone calls. This case has been going on for more than a year. It is totally outraged, definitely not what I expect from a high end dealership! I am a loyal customer but now I got deep concerns with the sense of responsibility of the team members at Land Rover Pasadena. DO NOT buy or lease from LAND ROVER of PASADENA!!! This particular Land Rover dealership's service department is awful. -POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS 9 out of 10 times I will have to call to get an update on the status of repair, even though the service advisor says they will update. -BAD ATTITUDE I asked my service advisor what the ETA was on the backordered part that was necessary for repair, and his reply was, "your guess is as good as mine, could be a few days could be a few months. The delay is weather-related and I don't control the weather so I don't know what else to tell ya." -THEY NEVER HAVE LOANER CARS Land Rover NA corporate customer relations offered me a $45/day rental car reimbursement. You can't even rent a Corolla for $45 lol! It's a shame that a premium brand establishment has such subpar aftercare service. Everyone was all smiles when I went in to buy my RR, but right after they make a sale they do a complete 180 and treat their customers like crap. If you must absolutely have a Range Rover, read Yelp reviews of surrounding dealers and just go there instead. At the end of the day I can only blame Land Rover NA along with management at this franchise for the shortcomings that are within their control (communication, attitude, good customer service) being that a company's culture is created, implemented, and fostered from the top down. worst LR service experience in 25 years. Waited 40 minutes before a service advisor spoke to me and I had an appointment. Only one service advisor available, others in training... New to the area and took RR for Oil Change. First time at this dealer. Charged me $349 for an oil change. in 7 years of oil changes on this same car the dealer has always charged me $120-$150. I was gouged. Expressed my disappointment and Marco the Service Advosor said it is what it is, that's what they charge, $200 above other LR dealers! Take your LR elsewhere for service, you'll be pleased that you did. Sam, I appreciate your response but it should have been right the first time. I left frustrated and over charged. $349 for an oil change. Your advisor Marco neglected to verbally point out that my car needed new rear brake pads and rotors. Status was red- fail -immediate attention to rear brakes. In frustration I drove 50 miles to another LR dealer to get my brakes replaced, got a driving citation and ticket from CA HP on the way for touching my phone to turn off The GPS while stopped at a red light. So sad that honest dealerships are not around or have changed. Shame on you Land Rover of Pasadena witch is also related to Symes Cadillac. Came in to make a cash deal, you claim to give a good deal. I ask about your internet offers you say they are all sold or going to the loaner department. They have been tagged for loaners. Philippe Naveau you been the sales manager should be more ashamed along with Robert your sales guy. So we work on a deal stock number R17839, you say it's list at &62,338. And giving it to me at $58,986 with a rebate. When actually it's one of the 6 I asked from the internet which this one is priced online for $57,338 with the rebate making it 54,338. If we went along with my trade and I paid the difference we would had been in the ball park of $65,000 to $66,000 vs the 70,208 you wanted. Your greed sir and dishonesty has earned you this review and bad referall on my behalf. My recommendation to anyone wanting to buy a Land Rover please take your business elsewhere. It seems the the issue wants to be swept under the rug as nothing happened. The reality of it is that something did happened. I don't understand how someone who is a cash buyer that walks in to your dealership and asks about your multiple online listings and onsite inventory walks out without a deal. You have someone whose willing to spend in the ball park of 67k cash and every unit he inquired about is either sold or committed to something else. You want to explain and make believe that you were selling me a vehicle $1350 below your advertised price. Yet I'm making a deal at another dealership for less the amount without having to ask for multiple discounts. Apples to apples they are not. The one you we're trying to sell me for more has no bells or whistles as the one I bought. Not getting off subject let's talk about CSR, the one thing that seems to lack. It seems that I was invited more times to purchase elsewhere, starting from your floor salesman to your general manager. No problem there, the other dealership thanks you for that and will enjoy the steak they say. So again facts are facts and my review will remain I will present my evidence to the BBB board and go from there. By the way I was there Saturday most of the day and believe me you weren't that busy neither did I see many people lined up closing deals. 3rd time...3rd times the charm. I will do my best NOT to come to this particular dealership anymore. Every time I come here, I get treated like crap. First time, my husband and I came in to buy a Range Rover. Maybe it's because we aren't flashy people, did they assume we couldn't afford one??? I don't know, anyway they had us standing in the showroom for like 5 minutes with no one to greet us. Finally, I said excuse me to a man that already had passed by us twice. He wasn't busy, he was just ignoring us. We asked to look at some cars and he was slow to move. We went outside and he grabbed some keys but looked uninterested. And when I asked about pricing he gave me very nonnegotiable numbers. So I did some research and took my butt to Hornburg in Santa Monica and had the BEST experience. And drove off with my brand new Range Rover! You can actually read my review for them too! Few months later, I went back to Hornburg to inquire about a Jaguar and they were just as great to help! Fast forward, I had to get my car first serviced. I called Pasadena and made an appointment and ask for a loaner. When I arrived AGAIN I was ignored. When I met with the guy that I made my appointment with, he tried to up charge me in over $300 of unnecessary service. When I told him I bought the service package he was like "oh, so some of this stuff is not covered" He tried to make me do all this stuff to my tires which were still new AND told me he was doing me a favor for getting me a rental from across the street at Enterprise. "We only give loaners to people that reserve them" "I did, I made the appointment with you on the phone...remember?" I wrote a unsatisfactory review and he called me and said "Uh, thank you for the review" So lame... Finally, yesterday, I had to take the car in because my low coolant light came on, but coincidentally I had just received a coupon for a free multi-point inspection. Great! When I drove in, there was someone greeting guests and I told her about the coolant and the free inspection. Then she directs me to an advisor and guess what...yup, SO rude! He told me there is no time until after the new year. And pretty much brushed me off. I was annoyed and decided I'm done with this place. I just told him to fill my coolant so my car doesn't explode and left. I checked when I got home and they had appointments available for next week! I really tried to make this place my primary dealership because it's closer to my home, but apparently I am not welcome. read more
