Land Rover Princeton returned my vehicle with damage that was not present at the time it was dropped off for service. I brought my vehicle in for a driver-side sun visor repair. While in their care, the dealership caused significant damage to the rear passenger door, including a visible hole that was not present at drop-off. The dealership initially accepted responsibility, took possession of the vehicle, and provided me with a loaner while the damage was being addressed. However, they later reversed course and began denying liability. They are now attempting to attribute the damage to prior unrelated repair history, referencing a Carfax report. The dealership has intake documentation and photos showing the vehicle was received without this damage, and that the condition changed while it was in their care. Despite this, they have refused to repair the damage and are attempting to shift responsibility. I have escalated this to Land Rover corporate and now have an open case. I have also filed an insurance claim, a police report, and am obtaining a second body shop opinion due to the lack of resolution. Very disappointing experience from a luxury brand. I strongly recommend documenting vehicle condition thoroughly before leaving it here. I will update this review if the issue is resolved. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the reliability and service I've received from Land Rover. As an owner of a Range Rover, I expected a high-quality and reliable vehicle, but unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Over the past year, I've dealt with recurring mechanical issues that have cost me thousands in repairs. In July 2024, I had to pay $4,900 to fix an overheating engine, and a few months before that, I spent $1,900 to replace the alternator. Most recently, the tires I replaced in February 2024, under a supposed warranty, were damaged. When I went to the dealership to get them replaced, I was told the damage wasn't covered and was asked to pay $4,100 due to a faulty compressor! I've filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) regarding these issues and the lack of accountability from both the dealership and Land Rover. As a luxury brand, I expected much better quality and service, and I hope Land Rover will take action to address these problems. Yesterday, June 11th, I had a 10 o'clock appointment to have my car detailed. Shortly after arriving the shuttle driver was able to take me home. At 5pm l had not heard from the Service Advisor, Daniel, so I called Land Rover to check on the status of my car. The receptionist transferred me several times and each time went into voice mail. One point I was disconnected and became annoyed. When I called back I asked the receptionist for the number to Land Rover Headquarters. A few minutes later Daniel called me on my landline. I said no one called to give me a status. He told me my cellphone kept ringing and ringing but no answer. Since it's now 5:30 pm I do not need to be picked up today. He told me he would send someone tomorrow. The next day I asked Daniel if he couldn't reach me on my cell why didn't he call my landline earlier yesterday. All the previous times my car has been serviced, I've never been disappointed with the customer service. This is the first time having Land Rover detail my car. They did a great job and it looks fantastic. I am very pleased . read more

I dealt with Yury whom was honest and open with me the whole time i was there. I have been to many dealerships in the past where the customer service is way over the top and fake. Here i was treated as a person not a sale and that is few and far between in the industry. I ended up buying a lovely Range Rover Evoke, and got a decent price on my trade in. Yury himself is very tentative and was a pleasure to talk to and kept me informed all through the sale. It was nice to talk to a sales person whom was not just constantly talking about the sale but interested in other subjects when we had to wait for paperwork etc, and he is a very honest man and a credit to his profession and in my opinion would be a valuable asset to any dealership ive ever dealt with. thanks for a great car and pleasant quick experience. I will be recommended this dealership to anyone i know. I will point out i traveled 50 miles instead of 5 to my local Land Rover Dealership due to Yury being great on the first time i called about the car. I cannot express enough gratitude over the service I received from Carlos in the service department. I purchased my RR sport from another dealership a little over a month ago and started experiencing some major problems. He treated us as if we were customers from their dealership (which I wish we were but they had no sports in stock at the time) and went above and beyond to fix my car and put me in a free loaner. He was prompt, polite and a total pleasure to work with. He even went so far as to wash my vehicle and put on the license plates for me, (which the previous dealer completely neglected to do.) When the sales person tags you car and accepts your deposit and then sells it without telling you, I would call this dishonesty. When the dealership knows you are driving 2 hours to buy the car ( that they do not possess) and allows this to happen , i call this dishonesty. I realized after reading my previous review of this place I should give it a quick update, as I stopped going here a couple years ago. I stopped going because I got the uneasy feeling of the service associate (or whatever they call these guys,) Steve, trying to take advantage, and just when they had earned my trust. It seemed like he was trying to push way too much extra work that didn't really need to be done on me. I just wanted the tranny fluid checked and changed if need be, and he comes up with some service checks that STARTED at $1,300. Seriously? I was quite disappointed because I never felt like I was being prepped for a rectal exam there until that day. Plus he kept trying to push a set of tires on me that I didn't need. I own two Range Rover Sports. No thanks to Land Rover Princeton. Bought them both at Ray Catena because Princeton just wasn't willing to negotiate the rubber mats! So Princeton lost upwards of $140,000 because they wouldn't throw in the mats and were completely robotic, and simply seemed like they didn't even care to sell a car. Because I live in Princeton. Princeton LR is clearly bitter about their loss of my money. I stopped in recently because the alarm on my 2011 sport was sporadically going off and when I left the dealership suddenly ALL four tire lights came on alerting me that the tire pressure was low. ALL FOUR. Coincidence? Doubtful. While I was there to get the alarm situation fixed, they really pushed me to make a service appointment, which is definitely needed, so I made the appointment just in case. But, after doing some research it's clear that they overprice HARD. Their alignment is $250. Ray Catena does FREE alignment when you replace all your tires (which is what I need, so it works out perfectly), Princeton does not. They won't even give you mats when you buy a $70,000 sports car. When I called to cancel my appointment, I did not tell them I found a better deal at a Land Rover DEALERSHIP, I just said "something came up and I would call back". Immediately as the words left my mouth the service advisor said word for word: "Yep got it bye" and hung up. At least he made it easy to never go there again. Everyone there is old and fat and ugly. Ray Catena time and time again has delivered quality. Maintenance for these cars are expensive, duh, they are luxury vehicles. But Ray manages to give you incentive with deals. Not to mention their facility is pretty gorgeous. And the people are usually pretty friendly and interested in your satisfaction. Bottom line: Princeton is a money pit. The people there hate themselves. And are untrustworthy. read more

Among many other issues, I was sold a "ding protection plan" back when I purchased my 2015 RR. At that time, I was specifically told that EVERYTHING was covered, because I opted for the "premium plan". I asked thorough questions, knowing that often times these insurance plans try to put in loopholes that allow them NOT to cover certain damage. I had even specifically asked about coverage on the mirror casings, since I know those get dented/scratched more often - and, in fact, it had happened to me on a previous car. I was told that 'YES', while the mirror itself wouldn't be covered, the casing would... Throughout the "sale" of this $900 plan, I was told emphatically by the Finance person that ANY and ALL "dings" would be covered if I opted for the premium plan. The one page contract I signed and received was terse, but covered all of the essentials. Lo and behold, I called the other day to file a claim for a small scratch on the casing of a side mirror. Well, the company tells me that the mirror casing is NOT covered. And with the absolute worst, most rehearsed explanation, I was told, "Be sure you read all of the exclusions in page 2 and 3 of your contract". Of course, there IS no page 2 and 3. The contract I have is ONE page and doesn't say "1 of 3" on it... I was told that the dealership would have the other pages... Clearly, this is a very common tactic of theirs - it's reprehensible, and I'm certain they've made tons of money from this scam to their customers. Any reasonable person on this earth can see what they're doing here.... I called AND wrote the dealership - and they have not responded at all. These mysterious extra "pages" of the contract will probably magically appear once I push to see them -- and they'll claim that they gave them to me and explained everything back when I purchased the car... Fortunately, another Land Rover dealership heard my story and is going to work with me to fix it. They admitted that the Princeton dealership is known to do stuff like this all the time.... read more

Yes, these 5 stars say it all. We built a 2018 Velar and it took 3 months, but it was worth the wait. Kamel was our salesman and he is wonderful. We love the car and I have a lot of reading to do. The dealership is fantastic, we traded in our 2013 Sport and have been going there for 5yrs. Drew is in service and also the best. Everyone is great, George, Julie and Steve of course (the best manager EVER) We will be customers for a long time to come. Steve has been there forever and Drew is a welcome addition, you can always count on them! I had gotten my brakes replaced and not six months go by and they started squeaking. My experience at Princeton Land Rover was the polar opposite - a joy from beginning to end (and it isn't often that one can say that about buying a car). I had a very good experience with the service group last week. All my engine lights had flipped on, the ABS shut down, the suspension deflated, and the horn/alarm would randomly go off. The Princeton Landrover guys took the car in, found the short in the electrical and delivered it back to my home the next day. Can't ask for more. Thanks guys. read more

Nice people but they misdiagnosed a suspension problem as broken air struts on my 100K mi HSE and wanted almost $4,000 to replace the front struts it. After I purchased the parts online and had it done for a total of $1,000 by an independent mechanic, I still had the problem so the IM checked and found the original problem was actually a defective $17.00 valve. I went back to RR and they installed the part which solved the problem, for a total of $70.00. Anyway, I know have new air struts too, which is good. However, I will never trust their diagnosis again. read more

Booked a service appt weeks ago with a valet pickup. Booker said there were two pickups a day and could accommodate me. I received an email confirmation too. Got a call from the valet today (day before appt) to say that they couldn't pick car up on time (first I booked a location in NYC for 930am then changed it to a NJ location at 915am) because they open at 8am. I asked why I was even booked during a time that wasn't convenient for them and the valet said he would be more than happy to pick up the car at a more convenient location for me but I kept saying that the location WAS the place that was convenient. He asked me if I booked the appt online which I didn't. Why is that an issue? Valet didn't understand the concept of customer service bc all he focused on was when they open and how long it's going to take to drive. Uh, shouldn't someone had done that before they booked appt?? TIME WASTER. This isn't brain science. All in all I these people are nice but they clearly don't get it and after a total of four calls (before and after this call) I asked to speak with the head of service who I was told was out, then I asked to leave a voicemail which I was on hold and never was connected. Hung up then left a message for the GM and wrote a message to "contact" on there website. Heard back from the internet sales associate who seemed to have called (but didn't leave a message) but she emailed me back but offered no solution than what's the easiest way to contact me. I had to end this Seinfeld episode--just in time to write this review. If you live near the dealer you will hopefully get better customer service! read more

I called Land Rover Princeton looking into a range rover and had the worst experience. The sales woman on the phone (Karen) was nice at first, but when she found out I didn't live close by she told me she couldn't help me because it was outside her sales area and why I didn't go to my local Land Rover dealer. I told her I would be moving into the area in about a month and the dealer closest to my current address didn't have anything I liked. I was looking to spend 100K but it seems to me that this dealer must not like to sell cars. I've driven Mercedes my entire life and EVERY dealer I've ever walked into or called has treated me nicely and wanted my business. This experience has definitely made me realize how treating you potential costumers horribly is a reflection on how you will be treated as a customer. I will make sure to give my future purchases from Ray Catena. I will also make sure that I will not service my car at Land Rover Princeton. read more

Beware of this dealer!!! I purchased certified pre-owned vehicle (2006 Landrover LR3) from Princeton Landrover in 2008 with an extended warranty which was set to expire on 11/23/2011 . I notified Princeton Landrover of defects with the vehicle prior to the expiration of the warranty, noting that these defects would be covered under the extended warranty. I attempted to schedule appointment with Princeton Landrover on 11/05/2011 and 11/22/2011 . Princeton Landrover's service department would not schedule immediate inspection of defects until 11/29/2011, after the warranty had expired, stating that the service department was, "...very busy, and could not inspect the vehicle [for stated defects] until 8:30 AM on Tuesday 11/29/2011." The Princeton Landrover confirmed the defects upon inspection of the vehicle on 11/29/2011. Upon providing a verbal estimate for repair of confirmed defects, the Princeton Landrover's representative (Jorge Figueroa, General Manager) stated that since the vehicle had not been physically brought in for service till after the warranty had expired, the I would be responsible for payment on all repairs performed for the vehicle to operate in a reasonable condition. If the vehicle had been inspected upon the initial request, it would have been repaired under the terms of the warranty contract. I attempted to reconcile this matter with Landrover of Princeton as well as with the entity administering the warranty (Zurich Direct). The Princeton Landrover would not provide the parts and labor to repair the vehicle to a reasonable condition under the terms of the warranty and insisted on payment outside the warranty terms. read more
