    Bucatini pasta

We are so happy we went to Siren and Sailor. We were greeted with a smile and sat down right away. Our waitress was excellent and the ambiance was great. Everyone looked happy to be working there. Our food was delicious. We ordered the crab hush puppies for an appetizer and the Bucatini pasta dish and Chicken sandwich. The pasta had a seafood bolognese and fresh pasta made in house and it was fantastic. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely go back.

I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. It was one of those just in time food experiences. C went for the crab cakes. What a gorgeous version of crab cakes they were! Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. If I lived nearby, I would be here all of the time. There were a ton of interesting menu items I would like to try. '26 - 26

I assumed it's a touristy town but they really hold it down at Project Social. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. I'd recommend to try as many dishes as you can. I'd say the sandwich was least liked because it was falling apart with every bite but flavor-wise everything was perfect. The service was also exceptional. The toast was our favorite dish all week, with the mushrooms being perfectly cooked and the chèvre bringing a creaminess and slight funk to the dish. The octopus somehow had a melt in your mouth texture with a strong barbecue flavor and delicious sauces. We also ordered the ceviche, scallops, crab cakes, and duck tacos. It was all delicious, and flavors were well-balanced, meaning acids and fats were paired well together. Food presentation was exceptional. Service was incredible, in that our waiter answered all of our questions and food came quickly. Additionally, my wife and I showed up at 5:30 and were promptly seated. I think being offset from the main intersection some helps with crowds. Ambiance was top tier with the water feature and greenery.

We ordered several dishes and were thoroughly impressed. We started with the tostada, which featured wonderfully smoky brisket with a richness reminiscent of pork belly. Our summer salad with whipped feta was also delicious. The "Gambas" shrimp appetizer was probably our favorite of the night, full of layered buttery, spicy flavors reminiscent of an Indian curry. We also loved the mussels appetizer, served in a briny broth simmered with smoked pork and chorizo. The seasoning and flavor profiles of every dish were surprising and exceeded our expectations. We all agreed that Havana is a must try for all foodies!

We were sat in a romantic back space near the wine cellar wall and it was beautiful. We both enjoyed drinks as recommended by the very friendly sommelier and loved the bread and dips that started our meal. For my entree I ordered lobster moqueca which was amazing- like the best seafood stew I've ever had served with fluffy rice. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the dessert was disappointing compared to how delicious the rest of our meal was. We ordered the tart and it was pretty mid. Also- we visited for his birthday and they had a handwritten birthday card on the table which was very sweet.

Wife asks to try a white wine. Gets delivered in a glass that is just out of the dishwasher and is piping hot. Woman who is main bar tender says to young woman trainee bartender that glass is too hot and in future should not use hot glasses for white wine. Gives it to my wife anyway; wine sample is very warm in glass. My wife asks to try another white wine to which main bartender hands her glass with microscopic sample while saying in an unfriendly voice "you know you cant try every wine in the bar". We are both stunned at this nasty and completely unwarranted comment. Btw this is a wine bar; asking for a taste of an unfamiliar wine before a $15-&18 pour is completely common and normal. A few minutes later a regular walks in with a friend; main bartender calls out by name a friendly greeting. By that time we had ordered two apps. A minute or two later main bartender and trainee are standing right in front of us when clearly and audibly to us main bartender says to trainee regarding regular she just greeted by name "watch out with [customer name]. He can be a real as***le". Wow. Right in front of customers talking smack about regulars. Classy. Apps were meh. Left without ordering mains.
