Just moved to the area from Seattle and I'm so glad I found a Lao restaurant that serves authentic cuisine. Everything I ordered was delicious, flavorful, and very satisfying. The portions were generous for the price, and you can tell the food is made with care. Also, the staff were so friendly and kind. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes! Thank you.

My sister in law recommended that we tried this place for dinner. I'm always down to eat Cambodian, Thai, Laos food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant felt like a local neighborhood spot for local families to come in and have dinner. About 9-10 tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called ahead and informed them that we had a party of 7-8 coming in. The front desk guy was super cool! Great customer service. He accommodated us and things were set up quick. He said over the phone he would take care of us and he did. Appreciate you! Food 4/5 - it was my first time having Nam Khao at a restaurant. Other previous times have been home made. I'm not sure how I feel about paying $19 for this dish lol it was a good portion but a little hefty. The wings were good but I still prefer Simply Khmer. My wife had pad thai and requested it to be extra spicy. In our experience at other restaurants, when you ask for spicy, it's never spicy. Lanxang does it spicy and we quickly figure that out lol it still packed a good punch of flavor! Overall, I would come back to try their other dishes. I want to try their papaya salad and boat noodle soup. Will definitely come back!

This is our second visit. This is going to be a regular stop for us. The food is great, service is friendly. There are so many things on the menu to try! It's the perfect place for a group to share multiple dishes.

My go to spot for authentic Thai/Laotian food. It's tough for me not to order the entire menu when I'm here. The tapioca balls, chicken wings & Lao sausages are my favorite appetizers! As for entrees? You'll always find kow piek sen & pad thai at our table. If you're a fan of papaya salad, it's a must here! Service is always great here as well.

First time here, I ordered the beef pho. It was absolute phenomenal! Will definitely be back soon

Not sure where to start as the whole experience was great! Let's do the food justice first! Lanxang Star is an extension of Laos. The taste of the food warped me back into the streets of Vientiane and Luang Prabang! It was so delicious and in my opinion, the best Lao food in Massachusetts! The service was great as well. We were seated quickly and the food came out fresh within minutes of ordering. We did arrive during a storm so were the only ones there initially. We were taken care of, our thoughts on the food were conveyed to the chefs and stumbled to our car full of food within 45 minutes. Lastly, spicy means spicy!

Great Laos restaurant in Dracut. A lot of fresh items on the menu and always comes out tasting incredible. Fried chicken with papaya salad is always a must when visiting.

Was so excited to try out this place. Heard so many great things about this hidden gem. We got the Lao papaya salad (OMG, out of this world), kow piek sen (Lao chicken noodle soup, perfect noodles chewiness/texture), chicken wings, sausages, Thai ice tea (perfect amount of sweetness BTW), shrimp rolls, kowboon (Lao curry noodle soup) and beef laarb. Everything was so fresh, flavorful, plentiful and affordable. What I love: 1.) very authentic, home cooking food made with love 2.) large, generous portions 3.) fast & friendly services 4.) little touches like freshly cooked garlic to use as garnish makes a big difference! Cant wait to be back!!!

Back for more! The food and service never disappoints and we love taking leftovers home!

Ask the Community - Lanxang Star Restaurant

How spicy is the drunken noodle and is a 1-5 scale provided for the amount of spice you like?

They did 'recalibrate' their spiciness scale. 5 stars out of 5 is now really, really spicy. Just how I like it. :)

One important note is that many of the authentic and different dishes available were on the in-house restaurant menu though I didn't see them online. Not sure if I missed something on the website, but I was very excited to see the menu they had in-house. We also enjoyed some equally authentic tea with our meal - the meal was good at every turn. The guy serving us - who I took to be the owner - was super helpful with suggestions and very friendly. Everything we had was cooked fresh, so not super fast, but definitely in reasonable time. The chef was amazing. If you are looking for a place with truly good authentic food that falls a bit outside the New England Chinese staples, I strongly recommend Oxyear. The owners are so sweet; this is family-owned, with the dad is from Cambodia and having lived in Lowell for years. The dishes are made to share, so the portions are on the bigger side, including their drinks, which are 32 oz and come in the large soup containers. They have a new drink menu coming out tomorrow with so many different options. They have mocktails, mojitos, and lemonades. I will definitely need to try them all. The owner was so sweet and let us try their new Jungle Juice drink, which has basically every fruit in it. We got the Sesame bowl, and this thing was packed. My friend is GF and raved about their fried rice so that was substituted in. We also got the Cambodia Curry with graduate-level spice. The owner knew I loved spice when I said that and asked if I needed more pepper and handed me a small bowl of it. The dishes for dinner were around $18, with lunch dishes around $14, but this is based on portion size, and it was a good portion. Will be eating the rest for lunch. Definitely need to check it out. But today's experience was sub par to what we are used to. I didn't leave the establishment because I was with others who wanted to enjoy the food. The first issue was we couldn't seat where we wanted, it had to be where the waitress or manager decided we were to seat. Not one client in the restaurant. Then she brought the bill before we requested no one was waiting to be seated, then refused to split the bill when previous times with a different server was not a problem. We split the bill to only 2 because thats all she could do, me paying for 4 people she denies my tip amount and says if I don't tip a 18% , theywill charge me $80 extra for a party of 6, again we were only 4 people. I am very disappointed with my service and treatment, unfortunately I don't know the server name but she is one that speaks more English. Will I go back and be bullied into tipping what they want? I can confidently say this is now one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. It's only my second visit, but somehow it was even better than I remembered. This has officially become one of my regular spots, and it'll definitely be a restaurant I bring friends and family to whenever they're visiting. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and perfect whether you're grabbing a solo lunch, celebrating a birthday, or enjoying a meal with the family. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely worth the wait. Unlike many Asian restaurants where dishes seem to appear almost instantly, everything here is cooked to order. It took a little longer for our food to arrive, but that's because it was fresh and you could taste the difference. To be fair, we also ordered nine dishes, so the kitchen definitely had their hands full. One thing I really appreciated was that every single dish was delicious. It's rare to order that much food at one restaurant and not have a single disappointment. Here's what we ordered: - Chicken Larb - Spare Ribs - Lao Sausage (an absolute must order!) - Garlic Wings - Potstickers - Fried Squid - Fried Noodles - Beef Jerky - Sticky Rice It was an incredible spread, and every dish brought something different to the table. If you're going with a group, I highly recommend ordering family style so everyone can try a little bit of everything. Laos Thai Kitchen absolutely lived up to the hype. I can't wait to come back, explore more of the menu, and order another table full of food. 10/10, highly recommended!

The fried pompano came with a sauce that was so good that we asked for extra. It was spicy but not too much and thick and went perfectly with the fish. We even put some on the steak just cause and it went well with it. Ended up packing some sauce to bring home lol Plenty of street parking in the area so that's another plus.
