    A House Favorite Stuffed Lumaconi
    Andrew R.

Came here for dinner after a day of skiing. I love the old school feel of this place, the vibe is cozy. The free bread was great, and the soup that comes with the main courses was amazing! For mains we got the Lumaconi and the Alfredo Mac and cheese. Both were pretty meh, and extremely overpriced for the quality. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't the biggest fan. I would comeback and try some of the other dishes though.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and dinner. After 21 years of living in the Reno Tahoe area this was our first time. After a late afternoon hike we wanted a new to us restaurant. We walked in around 6:30 and put our name on the list. We were seated around 20 minutes later. We sat in the bar and had a cocktail while waiting. No reservations are accepted although I've heard they may for larger groups. The minute I walked in I wondered why we waited so long to come here. What a great feel. So comfortable. Our meal was delicious. We both enjoyed the salad that came with the meal. It was huge and we added Gorgonzola. We gobbled it down. I had the chicken Marsala and my husband the house favorite lumaconi. We were stuffed and needed to go boxes. Wish we had room for dessert. Next time. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Can't wait to return!

I was craving pasta after being in the snow all day and this place got really good reviews so I wanted to try it . We got seated right away and the we ordered the stuff shells combo and it came with salad , and the house bread . Overall the food was good and very filling . The tiramisu was super yummy was well . The service was good the waiter made sure to check us constantly and made sure our drinks stayed refilled . The ambiance of the place was cute and it was very cozy .

    What's left of our Tiramisú!

This is a bustling Italian restaurant on the North Shore. Can't say it's worth going to. The one positive I found is they have an espresso machine, so at least your coffee is fresh. Our food was mediocre, service was decent, and cost was average.

A-okay is what it is. I feel like everyone's food was very standard American - Italian. My eggplant Parmesan was satisfying but can't say anything special about it. I suppose I can say that my daughter ate all of her plain pasta - so she might give it 4 stars. Very large portions and every dish comes with a side of spaghetti and meat sauce. I definitely didn't get to my pasta. Their house creamy Italian dressing was pretty good. Large space, but even on a Tuesday it looks like there was a waitlist when we left. Quick service.

Non of us could finish what we ordered. Even the pizza wasn't good. No complaints about the service, but the food wasn't great.

Just a 30 minute drive from Reno, Azzara's can be easily overlooked in a quaint town adjacent to beautiful Lake Tahoe. We arrived just before the dinner rush and seated with no issue. Azzara's is a local restaurant and is very popular. Our server was quick to take our order while providing the dinner specials. I expected to see the traditional Italian cuisine and was impressed by their selection of fresh seafood dishes. We went with the chicken marsala, pollo carbonara and spaghetti with bolognese and all were served the freshest pasta I've had in a while. Dinners com with your choice of soup/salad with warm bread. Our server was very good at balancing our privacy while ensuring drinks were always filled. We didn't have any wine with dinner, but from observing other patrons wine is very popular here. Not that each and every day can't be a special occasion, make it one and drop by Willie's We chose eggplant fries with a quite spicy "angry" tomato sauce. This was fresh, crunchy and yes the sauce was angry but we weren't since this was so good. As my main course I chose pappardelle carbonara on wide noodles with richness throughout. Perfect. Our second choice was tortelli stuffed with spinach and mascarpone. Again it was exceptional. The space is small inside with a few seats outside and it constantly buzzed with server and diner activity. It was as though everyone was all part of one group. Our server answered questions and was perfectly attentive. Our first time at Willie's will not be our last. This is one of Reno's finest dining experiences. But we were randomly in the area again early one evening, and it was a perfect time to try out their restaurant. Have been searching for a go-to Italian restaurant (Reno has so many Italian options, but it's been surprisingly hard to find well done pasta), and this is it. Their homemade pasta, perfectly cooked (not mushy or too chewy) with juicy shrimp (tagliatelle agli scampi) was exactly right. Portion size was generous, and it came with complimentary bread (oil and balsamic). Unfortunately, not enough room for dessert, but will definitely be back either here or at their new downtown location! TIP: Definitely worth calling ahead. The table seating is somewhat limited, but well spaced, clean, and comfortable. Parking outside at the onsite lot for this small shopping center can also get crowded. Also, you can find them on Sundays at the Riverside farmer's market and pick up some convenient and delicious frozen pasta!

Very satisfied not just with the food but with the thoughtfulness of the preparation and the friendly attentive service. I'd say their pasta is the best aspect of any dish they serve, but the proteins are also thoughtfully prepared. Maybe a bit on the pricey side, but the quality is there.

We attempted to stop by a few times, but either I forget their closing hours or they were extremely busy and I was limited on time. Hopefully they'll consider extending their closing hours by an extra hour on select nights in the future. We ordered our usual favorites, and everything was just as tasty as I remembered. Frank took our drink order and promptly brought our beverages over, while Melina took care of our food order. Of course, I had to get my four flavors of wings! Between the wings and their delicious Caesar salad, I was completely stuffed and unfortunately missed out on one of my favorites--the Stracciatella Hot Honey Pizza. The service from Melina, Vanesscia, and Frank was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I don't get to come here as often as I used to or as often as I'd like, but so far always a great experience when I do. I'm glad to see they're still busy, serving great food, and maintaining the quality that keeps customers coming back. Highly recommended!
