I had the thai chili bomb omelet that was filled with ground chicken, onions, bell peppers, and enough Thai chili to say hello but not too much to blow your palate apart. So flavorful and fresh! Chili threads garnished the omelet, which was served with sourdough toast, a perfectly dressed pile of spring greens, and roasted sweet, gold, and purple potatoes. My wife had the Pacific scramble that was loaded with shrimp and crab along with toast, salad, and potatoes. Her scramble was delicious. We couldn't help but look at what others ordered and everything we saw was amazing: smoked salmon benedict, chicken and waffles, fried chicken sandwich, waffles, etc. The drinks were fabulous, too. They are getting our reviews deleted when we were the ones discriminated against for being Black and Hispanic. We were refused seating due to being a party of 2 when parties of 3 of a different race were being seated. They said it had to be a party of 4. When I brought this up, the lady invaded my personal space and almost laid her hands on me. This place is really good. I got the Tofu scramble - it had great flavors and had a unique presentation (with some flowers/some lotus leaf?) which sort of differentiates it from other places. There are other vegeterian options too, but my only gripe with Lapisara is that the vegeterian brunch options don't really have as many thai fusion flavors as the other options. Despite my tofu scramble being pretty great, it would be more interesting to have more of a thai flare to it. The ambiance and vibes of this place are really interesting too. The interior is nice, bright, and welcoming. The service is also great, not much to comment on about that. Staff is nice and gave good recommendations to our party. Went here two nights ago, to celebrate my niece's marriage (married yesterday!) in SF. Based on location proximity and my SF collections list, I picked Lapisara. The restaurant was super accommodating since it was a last minute reservation for 15! To be honest, I originally picked Son and Garden, but due to location, we changed our reservations. The food was very good... talked to my new nephew earlier today and he said it was the best Phad Thai he's ever had! We went for dinner and today, their first full day as newlyweds, they told me they elected to go back for brunch!! Can't ask for a better endorsement! The servers were quite friendly and they surprised the table with a molten chocolate cake for my niece/nephew-in-law, and homemade truffles for the rest of the table! Delicious! It was kinda a crazy night, so the only pictures I have are of my first drink- matcha latte, not only was it one of the tastiest I've ever had, it was also by far the cutest!! For food, table favorites were the Phad Thai, Gone Wild (super flavorful!), and I also really liked the samosa, mmmmm!! At first I was very skeptical, this looks like an instagram trap. But the drinks look soo cute that I have to give it a try. Honestly, I was very very very pleasantly surprised. For one, the drinks were very good. I had to get the Ube bear, and it was very good, not super sweet. and the iced bear was flavored. At the end, the ube flavor bear melted and it got a bit too sweet. But otherwise, it was perfect. Not only the drink, the brunch items were very good! I got the fried chicken benedicts. The fried chicken was very good. The eggs and the sauce were good. However, I dont think fried chicken is the best for an egg benedict. From the texture perspective, its like hard/ crispy chicken on hard-ish toast. I think a pork belly or salmon would be better. Nonetheless, separately both were very delicious! 9/18/22 Zach and I came to Lapisara Eatery for dinner one night. Parking around the area was kinda tricky, so we ended up parking four blocks away up on a hill. The restaurant itself is small, but super clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. It wasn't busy when we got there and we were seated right away with menus and water being brought over as soon as we sat down. Our waiter was very informative about food and the ingredients when we were asking questions. After speaking with him, here's what we ended up getting: 1. Mussaman curry (mine) 2. Green curry with chicken sipicy (his) 3. Tom kha soup with fried tofu (to share) The tom kha soup came out first. The tofu was not overly fried; the soup was tangy and super delicious. We drank every drop and cleaned the entire bowl. The curries came out in about 15 minutes and both dishes smelled amazing. I tried some of the green curry, but it was way too spicy for me as forewarned by our waiter. Zach loved it since his tolerance for spicy food is extremely high. The spice creeps up on you after you take a couple of bites. The Mussaman curry was mildly spicy and really good. The beef is tender and melts in your mouth. The jasmine rice is soft and fluffy, but I wish I had gotten more since there was a lot more curry leftover. The potatoes and carrots in my dish were also tender, but not mushy. We didn't order dessert, but when the check came, we were also given a small plate of chocolate truffles which were not super sweet. I ended up eating all of them since Zach doesn't like chocolate (lol, don't judge me!) The chocolates were the perfect touch to end the delicious meal. I'd give this spot a 4.5. It was a solid place to eat! Nothing super impressive. Got the chicken satay appetizer, steamed vegetables, the fried chicken sandwhich, and a Thai ice tea. Chicken satay and veggies were really good. Can't go wrong there. I wanted to love the fried chicken sandwhich, but the cut of meat didn't do it for me. We came for brunch on a Sunday morning and while we couldn't make a reservation, we were able to get a table for two outside without a wait. The waiters were really friendly and gave our dog a water bowl too. The food is Thai fusion, so they had dishes like scrambles, hashes, sandwiches along with fried rice and noodles. I loved the Fried Rice with Fried chicken dish I got, it was so flavorful and I had lots of leftovers. Decided to come here a little earlier at around 9:30AM on a Saturday and it was perfect because there were still some seats available. The interior and decor are so well put together and I like that the tables had enough spacing so that people could easily walk through. Ordered the Thai Tea Latte and my friend got the Ube Latte. For food, we decided to split the Tom Yum burrito and the Panang Curry Tacos. The thai tea latte was really good and tasted just how I imagined. I took a sip of the ube latte and liked that it wasn't too sweet or grainy. Tom Yum Burrito -- I do recommend splitting it with one other person as this burrito is huge. The flavors and ingredients were exactly like Tom Yum soup in a burrito form. I think for the protein (chicken) I would have chosen dark meat instead or shredded it since there wasn't a soup to sort of soak into the chicken so the chicken was a little dry (but not awful). Panang Curry Tacos - So good. Exactly like Panang Curry except in a taco form. I like that it wasn't too saucy and the tortilla held up well with all the ingredients. Really flavorful. Came here for brunch with some co-workers. Having just been announced as the top brunch spot in California expectations were high. With a variety of different Benedicts to choose from two of us opted for the classic and Dungeness crab Benedicts to share. Neither was anything special. The english muffins could've been toasted more for both, and the crab benny could've used less greens and more hollandaise. Potatoes weren't very crispy either and needed some more seasoning. Nothing was bad, but nothing was really that good either. Another person in the group ordered the Lapisara burger - the one thing that was actually a star and didn't disappoint. The burger was big, juicy, and overflowing with melted cheese. Before even taking a bite I already regretted not ordering this. The fries that came with the burger were perfectly crispy. I ended up eating more of these than I had of my own potatoes. We had multiple servers come up and help us, so I wasn't exactly sure if we had a dedicate one or not. We were pretty into our conversation so it took us a while to order, and it seemed like they were annoyed by that. Definitely felt like a place that wants to get you in and out so they can get the next group in. They offer bottomless mimosas, but there is a time limit for them. We opted to go for our own drinks rather than indulge and binge to get our moneys-worth. Drinks were good, though not very strong. Parking was pretty difficult, we found a spot on the street a couple blocks away. Luckily I wasn't the one driving, because I wouldn't have even attempted to park in this area. Everything we tried was delicious! I got the fried chicken with a sweet chili to dip it in was yummy, and the egg fried rice that comes with it was fabulous! I also had the Thai tea latte (hot) which was delicious. My partner had the Lapisara burger, which again was so delicious! It was huge, too.
