    Holy Chili Bomb Basil
    Sriharsha A.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch. I got the Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette. It had ground chicken and veggies inside, and the chicken and basil were the flavors that stood out. I wouldn't call it spicy at all. The omelette felt small for the price and there wasn't much filling inside. It came with a side of potatoes that were really good. They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.

My breakfast was great! Visited from SD. I would definitely recommend. Waffles were perfect and my bf loved his croissant sandwich. We will be coming back next time we visit SF

I came in at 9am on a Friday with a friend and got seated right away. The place was still packed, so it took a little while to order. There is a good amount of seating, but the tables are quite close to each other (your neighbors will be eavesdropping). We ordered the smoked salmon toast and a florentine benedict. The salmon was fresh and the toast was stacked! My friend wasn't too impressed with the benedict, but it was good. The side salad that it comes with is actually delicious! And if you have a sweet tooth, order an ube latte or thai tea, and finish with a Sweet Dream. It comes with waffles and a side of fruits, ice cream, fudge, and whipped cream.

Came on a Sunday at around noon and it was about a ~15 minute wait for solo dining, not bad! I ordered the Chicken Waffles and it was a lot of food in my opinion, so I'd say the pricing is fair ($26). The fried chicken was crispy and flaky on the outside, and tender on the inside. The ube latte was decent, I felt it was more milky rather than ube flavor. Overall the presentation of food and drink was cute! I'll definitely consider coming back if I'm in SF and looking for brunch.

We ordered a few different dishes to get a feel for the restaurant as a whole. First, the restaurant had ample seating, and we were sat quickly. Seats behind me had enough room for both my party and the party behind us to get out easily. Service was a little slow. Having to ask to refill our coffee should not come up, especially when the restaurant was not super busy. Some of the food was good, some was not what I would have expected. The salted caramel macchiato was cute with the coffee ice bear on top, and tasted good. The Tom Yum burrito was good. It didn't need the sauce but that added even more flavor. I do recommend this. The fried chicken eggs Benedict was mid. I truly expected more from this. The outside part of the chicken had no flavor, and even the hollandaise sauce was slightly disappointing. I'd give it a 3/5. We also ordered the Dungeness crab omelet. It was extremely bland. The crab also was old, it tasted fishy. I would not get that again. As it was the most expensive dish in the menu, it should have popped.

I'm someone who is vegetarian (no eggs) and I don't eat onions or mushroom. I loved that they had at least 1 vegan option in their menu and they even accommodated my other needs for the meal. The Tofu Scramble was good, and I like the salad and fries a lot. The service was really good, our server was super kind and helpful. The ambiance and the overall vibe of the place was so refreshing and nice. Very few places have a vegan/vegetarian brunch option and this is one of them

Wonderful experience, I came on Mother's Day around 12:45pm and had to wait about 30 mins to get seated for a party of 6. The restaurant is beautiful with a lot of natural light, perfect ambiance for a brunch. They even had Mother's Day themed napkins which I thought was very nice. I really enjoyed the Lapisara burger though it's so humongous that it's actually a bit challenging to eat haha. The chicken and waffles were also very solid. I thought the Tom Yum burrito was a bit uninteresting. It was just a lot of rice wrapped up in a tortilla, the tom yum sauce it came with was good but it wasn't enough to make the dish amazing for me. Overall, excellent experience, I would highly recommend for a cutesy brunch.

Cute lil brunch spot in SF! The inside of the restaurant is quaint and cute and a casual vibe. Service was quick and attentive. On this day I was visiting multiple food spots so I didn't order much. I did order a peach mimosa and huevos rancheros to share. Not sure why I ordered the huevos rancheros as it wouldn't be a specialty but still delicious!! I definitely would try a more fusion dish next time. Would come back here!

This is my FAVORITE brunch place for the food. They have a delicious and unique french toast and everyone I bring here loves it. However, after coming here for over 3 years, they have become way more stingy with the portions and fruits. I attached a recent photo, but they added a lot of fruit and had better presentation back then. There is always a line, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. It gets quite busy and loud so I wouldn't recommend a big gathering here.

hot ube Latte and iced thai tea
    Isabelle R.

We got the ube latte and iced Thai tea. The ube latte was nutty and delicious. I just wish it had been a tad bit hotter, but I'm sure you can ask for it extra hot. The iced Thai tea was well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. The chicken waffle was also good--especially the chicken itself. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I do wish the waffle was more toasted since it was a bit soggy even with barely any syrup. The fruits were fresh and tasted really yummy. As for the PaNang omelette, it was delicious!! It's filled with meat and vegetables, so it's pretty hearty. The curry was so good and had just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend the PaNang omelette. Parking was difficult since it's in the Tenderloin, but it was definitely worth it. The workers are nice, and the place is really cute.

Super cute cafe that's been in my bookmarks for over a year! Finally, we dined here on a weekday at around noon. Even found a parking spot right outside after circling once around the block. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded and there were a few tables available. I believe weekdays are less crowded. ***OUR PICKS*** CHICKEN WAFFLE ~ Their fried chicken is more crunchy and possibly done with mochiko flour. It has that texture verses fried chicken made with all purpose flour. Chicken was juicy and tender. Waffle was fluffy but not crispy. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable. The berries surrounding the waffle were nice and sweet. Portion is a bit smaller than the other dishes that we ordered. 4/5 FRIED CHICKEN EGGS BENEDICT ~ eggs perfectly oozy and delicious with the sauce! Crunchy chicken was good too! I only wished the potatoes had a crisp exterior. Still a yummy dish! 5/5 PERFECT PANCAKES ~ soft and fluffy pancakes with eggs over medium with chicken maple sausage. I didn't try this, but the person eating this was satisfied with it. 4.5/5 ICED UBE LATTE ~ really cute purple teddy bear ice cube sitting on a cloud of whipped cream and a daisy flower atop of lightly sweetened ube latte. Good till the last drop. Lovely and adorable! The bear stole my heart! 5/5 Wonderful service, delicious food, beautiful presentation, lovely atmosphere! Definitely a winner, in my book!

my party of 8 came at around 11 on sunday (father's day) and waited a little over 35 minutes to get seated. the eatery's atmosphere is bright, pleasant, and clean. the prices are pretty standard for brunch spots. in terms of food, i really liked my salmon toast. i kinda wish i tried their thai-adjacent dishes, but perhaps, i'll save that for next time.

I came on Sunday around 5:30, and was seated immediately. The steady influx/outflux of customers never made it seem too quiet, even though only half the restaurant was utilized. If you decide to come here, I recommend avoiding the Thai staples like Pad Thai and Tom Yum, and ordering at least 1 dish from the "From the Chef" section. This place feels more authentic with more unique offerings compared to your regular run of the mill Thai place (they are mostly government sponsored anyways). I ordered a Papaya salad (Som Tum Poo Pla), a Shrimp Paste Fried Rice, and Roasted Pork with Crispy Pork Belly. For starters, the Papaya salad with a bigger price tag is not for the faint of heart. There is a load of fish sauce, and combined with anchovies, makes for an...acquired dish. I was told by my server that it's pretty authentic, but it's a little too authentic and reminds me of Natto or Beijing tofu juice. The Shrimp Paste Fried rice is a must order; the spread is very instagram worthy and gives me vague paella vibes in terms that it's shareable and good for parties 2-4. I did not see this dish at other Thai restaurants I've been to, so I'd consider pretty unique. Just be mindful that it's on the sweeter side, and the chilis on the side are very, very spicy, so allocate accordingly. The Roasted Pork with Crispy Pork Belly was by far the star of the show. The skin was super crispy, and the pork itself was super tender, melt in your mouth feeling. The flavors and seasonings were perfect, with just a hint of basil to elevate the entire taste. A true adventure for the taste buds, and a must order as a shareable. Service was super friendly, and my waiter answered all my questions with a smile, and even gave us his recommendations since we wanted to stray away from the basic thai food orders. This place is a must come to if you're looking for true authentic Thai food from a chef that has pride in his work. I can't wait to come back to try their other unique dishes!

Papaya salad was fresh and came with lettuce leaves as well. A solid app to split with a small group. I didn't try the drunken noodles as the group wanted beef in it, but I heard it was good. We decided to get tofu as the protein for the pad see ew, and it definitely hit the spot. However, I'd say the choo chee salmon was the winner. The curry sauce was super flavorful and had hints of coconut. Salmon was cooked well, and it came with some veggies that soaked up the curry. We didn't ask for rice on the side since we already had 2 carb dishes, but it would pair very nicely with white rice. Service was good. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I added in chicken sausage for $3. 5/10: The toast was unbuttered and honestly tasted stale. The potatoes were nice and crispy, but unsalted and quite plain. The eggs were nice, I got mine scrambled. Sausages were okay, I think I actually ended up with the pork sausages rather than chicken. My plate was $26 and I can confidently say it is not worth close to that unfortunately. Brussel Florentine Benedict 6/10: My partner was intrigued by the ton yum hollandaise sauce. There was a hint of it which was nice. Benedicts were okay, nothing special. Coconut oat matcha 8/10: On the sweeter side, but enjoyable! I liked the toasted coconut pieces on top and thought it was a nice drink. Premium matcha wise, I don't agree necessarily, but hey it was an enjoyable drink. Drip coffee 0/10: My partner loves a drip coffee and not in a snobby way. From diner coffee to honestly plain old regular slightly brunt coffee, thats her jam. This coffee was just burnt. Not sure what happened but it was $5 for a completely bitter cup of burnt coffee. Not great. Fun side note: As we were ordering the table next to us called attention to their dish as their waffle was completely undercooked and tasted bitter. The wait staff was apologetic about it, but seemed to either not understand or insist it was "too sweet" not undercooked or bitter. The table was very polite about it so honestly it was not the best look for the restaurant. It was simply feedback and I don't believe it was taken very well. Regardless, just a fun note to throw in! We will not be back unfortunately. There are many lovely brunch spots and restaurants around the city and sadly I don't think this one is worth a try just because of the cost for the quality, but I always tell myself its always worth to try in case you do think differently!

The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful. Minced well and great to complement with your carb dishes (noodle or rice). We thought the dish was slightly oily but it feels well absorbed when eaten with our pad thai. If you have tried the dish before and would like it, this will be satisfactory!

So that sucked. 1st let's admire my Thai Ice Tea. This was so adorable & I felt bad drowning him in my tea ha 2nd - my co-worker said this was the 2nd best Pad Thai he's ever had. They grill the tofu so it's got some crunch to it. Which totally elevates the Pad Thai. My Panang Curry with duck was excellent! Decent amount of duck just a few bones. Great little kick on the spice BUT not so spicy that it makes you regret life choices! Delicious will order again. The only thing I'd complain about is that my rice wasn't sticky. I prefer stickier rice - but this rice is perfect if you don't have a preference. I don't want fully unwashed mush but I like a little more starch. My other co-worker ordered Roasted duck over rice - he said it was tasty & would order again. We did order chicken satay and the chicken had good flavor BUT the peanut sauce was just ok. I'd order it again to see if it was just an off day for the sauce. It's a small restaurant & filled quickly at lunch. Many Asians eating there which told me it would be good. Restrooms were slippery so be careful but clean. Overall I would come again!

Great customer service paired with homey Thai flavors!…read more I came here on a Saturday night with a friend who recommended we try this spot. It was around 8 PM, and it wasn't busy at all, so we were able to get a table right away. The restaurant itself is mid-sized for the city, with enough seating to accommodate a few large parties as well as plenty of smaller groups. During our visit, we shared three dishes: the Thai coconut hot cakes from their specials menu (which they highly recommended), the beef salad for some protein, and the drunken noodles. The Thai coconut hot cakes were warm, gooey, and filled with coconut milk. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy bottoms of the cakes and the chunks of pumpkin and corn throughout. The beef salad and drunken noodles were both good, but I will say they didn't necessarily stand out compared to similar dishes I've had at other Thai restaurants. Overall, if you're looking for simple Thai dishes that aren't overly spicy, this would be a solid spot to check out.
