This ice cream is delicious! Everyone is so friendly and they have a ton of flavors to choose from and you can sample them to make sure you get what you want! My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie dough. They have seating both in the store and outside. Just a heads up- it is a very popular place so if you go to a busy time, make sure you're willing to wait! Always worth the wait in my opinion :)

Heavenly Hana & Aunt Lilikoi's Passionfruit with Ube Haupia
    Luis M.

The inside of this ice cream shop looks really nice. The way the decor is set up was more reminiscent of a nice coffee shop than an ice cream parlor. Not that that's a bad thing. They had a pretty wide array of flavors, of which I opted for the Heavenly Hana, which had everything I was looking for: Dark chocolate ice cream, marshmallow swirls, chocolate roasted almonds, white chocolate mac nuts, and sea salt. I felt a bit bad since normally I get things so I can share them with my girlfriend, but I could not pass this up. I thoroughly enjoyed my ice cream. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for her. She opted for Aunt Lilikoi's Passion Fruit and Ube Haupia. She wasn't a big fan of what she got, and after tasting it, I could see why, both flavors were definitely on the sweeter side. The Ube Haupia lacked ube flavor (had more than enough sweetness to it, though). It feels like Lappert's definitely has potential, but how enjoyable the ice cream is depends on what ice cream one gets! Overall a 3/5 ice cream experience.

    Nene tracks in waffle bowl

This ice cream spot isn't bad. They have a variety of flavors. My husband chose the Nene tracks which has a mix of caramel and chocolate things, it is good if you can't decide what you want. The ice cream flavor I was most interested in, the Kona chocolate chip, was already out for the day. I was able to sample it, but they didn't have enough for a full school. This was around two or three p.m. so it's a bummer they ran out so early. I got the ice cream in a waffle bowl but the waffle bowl was just okay. I could skip it next time. While the prices are definitely on the higher side compared to the mainland, you can always get a Keke scoop which is less ice cream in a bowl. But you're probably on vacation, so why would you want to watch the calories? Hehe. They also had Maui Brewing root beer which is very hard to find in Kauai. So my husband was excited.

We came in to get away from the rain and ended up with an Americano, mint chocolate ice cream and a very cute gingerbread lady! The coffee was good but I found the water to espresso ratio was off for my liking. The ice cream was delicious!!! So so good and they had so many fun local flavours I wish I was in the ice cream mood so I could try more! The gingerbread lady was soooooo cute and according to my partner who is a gingerbread cookie connoisseur it was delicious- your classic well spiced cookie that was still soft! Service was very friendly!!! Would definitely recommend!!

Stopped by for visit to give them a try. Was impressed with some of the unique flavor options. They have passion fruit and macadamia nut. Just didn't think the ice cream was all that great. Trader Joe's ice cream is better!

Forever a favorite when visiting! Always with the best locally made ice creams, coffees are delish, and baked goods are amazing! The location in Poipu is small, but there is ample seating outside and the line moves quick! Stop in and sample, you'll leave with a treat no matter what!

Yummm! Lappert's is a local Kaua'i favorite and the ice cream is delicious. I got to chat with the chef and you can tell he pours love into creating really unique flavors. They've got multiple dairy free options that are surprisingly creamy and so good! Definitely stop here for a scoop or two when you're on island

Lappert's is life. The taste of Kauai. Mana from Hawaii Heaven. Must stop every day.

    Paniolo Cookie (SO GOOD!!)
    Madeleine B.

Great ice cream, great coffee, and put together, great affogato! Their cones are crunchy and tasty. I got their paniolo cookie which was 10/10, lightly crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, perfect balance of ingredients, highly recommend.

We loved this spot for morning coffee while staying Poipu! Lots of different flavors of coffee you can't find on the mainland.

Our room location was the last room at the far end of our building, overlooking a parking lot and in a terrible location. Room #6146 We didn't want to question this as we were tired from our plane trip and we didn't want this special occasion to be damped by any negativity. We were highly disappointed in the room and the location. Our room was a bit dated and we were surprized that the Hyatt didn't offer us an upgrade under our circumstances, as we were very specific. We would have paid more if they had explained the room properly, as we were very specific and we would have upgraded. We relied on the Hotel's reservation desk to direct us. They made a huge mistake which effected our trip. All in all, the grounds were beautiful and the service was excellent. We spent alot of money and we were determined to make this a memorable occasion. We were very disappointed.

I'm just guessing here but I'd say that less than 50% of the grocery items have prices displayed. I did ask how a person is to know how much something cost and was told that the price should be on the bottom. I actually did turn things over and could not find a price. I think she might have meant that the price was on the shelf edge below the items, however that is only somewhat accurate as very few items were priced. One can only assume that the owners figure that the wealthy tourists will just throw things in their basket willy-nilly and then gladly toss down their diamond crusted Mastercard Black Card at the register not to be bothered with such trivial things as getting ripped-off. We were seated directly under a industrial fan used for the heat, but it was like 59 degrees so we asked if it could be turned off. We were told they can only turn it off it they turn off all the lights. So we asked if we could be moved to another table out of the way of the fan and were told no, this was the only table available. We sat down and the server immediately came over and asked for our drink order. We asked for a drink menu, so she brought one for five people. Then she stood at the bar staring at us until we decided. The drinks were delivered quickly and we're actually good. Next came the food order. Four menus for five people. Order placed for one taco salad, twelve street tacos, all chicken or steak, and one burrito. We asked if we could have chips and salsa, guacamole, and queso dip. One bowl of chips for five people, which we paid for two refills. Salsa was canned, guacamole was not fresh, and queso was bland. Taco salad was OK. Street tacos weren't what we expected and didn't have limes. They tasted ok and the meat was fresh. Burrito was messed up and they tried to lie and say that's how burritos are served and the green sauce was chilis. We found out it was cooked and served with ground pork. This was not advertised. Overall, they seemed bothered by us and we're talking about us in Spanish to each other. One of our party was fluent in Spanish. When we left, there were three people there with badges looking at some paperwork from the bar, which was very suspicious.
