Misdiagnosed my car for a cracked down pipe. Told me from supposed visual inspection that the manifold was cracked and I ended up going to my mechanic instead who told me it wasn't the manifold but a simple cracked flex pipe. Brought my 2015 WRX STI to get a second opinion on my exhausts clearances and fitment. Upon inspection, Jerry was able to determine that the mufflers were almost perfectly even. One area was approximately 1-2 degrees off. Rather than try to get it perfect, I opted to leave it alone since it's such a small variance. He was however able to make some modifications to some after market under bracing that was making contact with the exhaust and pushing it to the passenger side. All in all everything worked out. I took my vehicle to have an exhaust problem that another shop couldn't fix. The owner was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. I met with Jerry, the owner and operator of Lara's muffler, to have my custom performance mufflers installed and built on September 14, 2013. The work consisted of removing the factory axle back and building the back piping to the two new mufflers. Even though the pipes that Jerry had used on my car was crushed bent and not mandrel bent, I must say that I am extremely impressed how it turned out. It was one complete pipe with just 2 bends. What impressed me the most was Jerry's execution and precision work with the pipes. The bends were clean and smooth and did not look sloppy like most of the other shops around the area. Once everything was welded up, a coat of paint was applied to the welded areas (to prevent rusting is my guess). Overall, I'm very happy. Clean work, nice environment, fantastic and helpful owner.
