If you value your time, do not use them. I spoke with Adam at Larkin Plumbing, who told me they could come out later that day with an arrival time no later than 7:30. They never called and never showed up. When I called the next day, no one took responsibility and Adam was suddenly unavailable. A manager got on the phone and kept repeating that she didn't know why he would say that, but they could come today instead. After hearing the same excuse several times, I told her I was not calling to make another appointment. I was calling to let them know that what Adam did was unacceptable. I also made it clear that I would let people know Larkin is unreliable and will waste your time. A no call no show is unacceptable. read more

I've had good service from them but they are very pricey. Also just had a toilet replaced six weeks ago, and it makes a small high pitched sound now when I flush it. Since it's 2 weeks outside of their labor warranty, I have to pay (again) to have Larkin come out and look at it. This toilet is in the guestroom and has only been flushed twice a week to keep water flow. So, I'm calling another plumber to come out and look at it--since I have to pay again. Disappointing for an $818 job. read more

I've used Larkin Plumbing twice. First to unclog a toilet my kid flushed a box of tissues down. That service was great. They left the toilet scratched up, not the end of the world, I removed the scratches. Second time I called them to snake the shower drain in my kids bathroom. I was told I have no problem and the drain stopper was causing the slow drainage. I paid the ~$240 and that was it. This didn't sit well. I've lived in the house since it was built (8yrs), the shower had always drained fine. It felt like the tech didn't want to work. A few days later I called them back specifically requesting someone else. They assured me it would be a different technician. They sent the same tech!! I was very uncomfortable with this. He snaked the drain, complaining about the weight of the machine and taking it upstairs. He got some hair out and it drains somewhat better now. But I still don't feel like I even got proper service. I will definitely use someone else next time. read more

My family has used Larkin since the 70s. Called Monday morning. I was given a timeframe of 1-5. Received a text at almost 5:00 on the dot saying that they were running behind and had to reschedule for 11-2 today. I was too nice and agreed to it. I called at 2:30 today to ask where they were and was told that I was scheduled for 1-5, not 11-2. I just received a call a few minutes ago from Larkin telling me that the tech that was on the way to my residence had radiator problems and had to return to Larkin. He promised that I would be the first call tomorrow morning. Told him that I was unavailable tomorrow and cancelled. I am NOT falling for this three times! Larkin has obviously fallen off a very steep customer service cliff over that last few years, which is very disappointing. Looking for a new plumber. I am NEVER using Larkin again! read more

I have always used Larkin. I called them Friday, but I got a cell phone. I called three other plumbing companies to ask the price of replacing my garbage disposal, and no one would quote a price. They said the technician would tell me the price after I paid the trip fee. I hung up on all of them. I went to the internet to find the number to Larkin and spoke to very nice women who helped me. They quoted the price, allowed me to go get the disposal to save money, and then my hero Brandon showed up and repaired mine so I can return the one I bought. They work on commission and will make your plumbing problems worse and make new leaks and charge you for it! Typically, I don't leave negative reviews, but I feel like I have to in this case. The attempt to rip me off was too egregious. I called Larkin to come fix a slow toilet leak. At first, the repairman told me there was no issue with the toilet and that he would just write an invoice for making the trip to my house. When I insisted that the leak could not have fixed itself by me just shutting the water valve off and having tightened the washer, he decided to spend a couple of minutes trying to figure out the problem. He replaced the fill valve and that seemed to fix the issue. Total time working on the toilet? Less than 20 minutes. But, when he handed me the bill, the charge was over $500!!! Besides for the $35 fill valve (no comment on the huge markup, since I was happy to just fix the problem), what was really astonishing was the $460 service charge. When I asked how he calculated the amount he said that he gets paid by the hour. I asked him what his hourly rate was and he told me it was $185/hour. Impressive rate, but how could he possibly get to $460? He said that he charged me 2.5 hours because he got the service request at 10:30 am and that it was now 12:30 pm (which is 2 hours, not 2.5, by the way). When I told him that he walked through my front door at 11:50 and that it was unacceptable that he would charge me for 2.5 hours when he had been in my house for less than 30 minutes, he quickly backtracked and said that he would charge me for 1.5 hours. When I told him that I would call the main office to discuss their service time/charge calculation, he told me not to call the main office and that he would 'only' charge me for one hour of work. At this point, I just wanted to be done with this conversation, so I just paid the bill (now down to $230). I don't know what the pay/incentive system is at Larkin, but beware of made-up service charges. I for sure, will never call them again. read more

We moved recently to Las Vegas into an existing house. We had to have Larkin come out twice; once for the disposal and another for the outdoor faucets. They were here within 24 hours of our call, did exceptional work and Blake (recommend asking for him) was thorough and explained everything that he did. I was impressed. I called because I thought my garbage disposal was broken. The quoted an hourly rate and about what it would cost if the disposal needed to be replaced. The service person (Jacob) called the same day and said he could come in 30 minutes and he arrived on time. I was on a business call and so I kind of motioned toward the kitchen. He determined the disposal did not need to be replaced, charged a very fair amount, I signed the receipt and he left. I would not hesitate to use Larkin again. read more

My elderly parents, who were out of town for a month, had a leak behind the wall which did extensive damage, so I called Larkin and they came out. Told me that a piece of tubing attached to the water softener wasn't long enough and they could easily add an extension with a clamp. The Larkin guy also told me the water softener was running too often and to unplug it until someone could come service it. The guy installed the clamp, but there was extensive water damage and mold behind the wall so I had to hire a a restoration company to tear up the walls and a contractor to come replace everything. 33 days later all of the construction was complete and the water softener was turned back on. And water shoots out of the clamp. Called Larkin- they said they'd come fix it- but they'll have to charge $100 for a service call because they only guarantee their work for 30 days and it's been 33 days. My poor parents agreed to this and were told Larkin would arrive between noon and 4:30pm. So my parents sat there for 4.5 hours waiting. They did not show. I drove to Home Depot and bought a .59 cent clamp and fixed it myself. Really disgusted they would A) not check their work before leaving- B) given the circumstances not stand behind their work after 33 days- what a joke- C) give a 4.5 hour window and not show. I expected better customer service. Won't be calling Larkin again. read more

They said that Clark County will fine me thousands of dollars for something that is not compliant unless we hire Larkin to do a job. They ask for a payment twice of other companies and unless we hire them, they will report it to the county. We decided to get a second opinion and things were fixed at half the cost. What do you know...clark county came out the next day only to be sent back home. They said they received a complaint. Only the plumbing company we hired and Larkin knew of the situation. After several years of doing business with them I'm very disappointed with the with my recent experience with them. I had a service call set for up for Sat 5/27 in the morning before noon. When Saturday afternoon rolled around and they were no call no show we called to be told they were running behind. As a result we rescheduled for Monday 5/29 between 8-11 am. When we call at 10am we were told we were not on the schedule and didn't no any thing about being rescheduled from Saturday! About an hour later we got a call back saying we cancelled the service call for Monday which we not the case. There techs provide good service in the past, there call center leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, RO system, 2 soap dispensers, a bathroom faucet. -- $1400. Plumber came day one and said needed more parts and would be back tomorrow. No call no show next day; we finally phoned about 11 am and they said the parts (longer faucet connectors) weren't in and it would be another day. We paid $336 the first day for 2 hours work. When the next plumber came two days later said he had to re-work all the stuff the guy did 2 days before and he'd see if the office would take off the work (2 hours) charged from the first guy. Office agreed to deduct one hour but then added an hour for travel time. read more

We used Larkin Plumbing years ago for a problem with our shower and were so pleased with their service. We called them again when we had the same problem in the other shower. Scheduling was a nightmare. We had an appointment, waited all afternoon to get a call that they couldn't get to us. Also, we asked them to call our cell but they kept calling our landline. When we finally got the plumber out he didn't have the part with him. My husband had described the problem. They had a record of our prior repair but didn't bother to bring the parts. So we waited for 45 minutes while the plumber went back to their office to get it. AND we got charged for all of his time in doing so. The bill was twice was it was for the other exact same repair. Because Larkin was so horrible about scheduling, didn't pay attention to our needs and gouged us for the privilege, we will call another plumbing service the next we need one. read more

Tried calling to get an inspection done, told them about the issue. We have a jet tub leaking, and one of the plumbing vent pipes was damaged on the roof. They pretty much said "they don't handle that stuff" and then just hung up the phone. RUDE!!! They have customer service. read more

I've got to state this upfront...I rarely do reviews. But this got me so frustrated and angry I needed to share it. Called to have water heater looked at for a rental that my nieces are renting. I asked my neices to coordinate it with Larkin, however, since I was the owner Larkin wanted me to call in the request...fair enough. They took my card number over the phone but never called me back with the issue and how much it was going to cost me. My nieces said there was only a quote for a new unit if it needed to be replaced. I looked at my card a week later and there was a charge for 171.00 plus. I called and they said it was for an hours work. All they did was reset the heater and charged me a full hour for the work. First of all I trusted they would call me the owner back (since I had to call them for the repair) to at least inform me it was completed. Second, they should have quoted me the hourly rate (I'll own this one...I should have asked), but even high end mechanics and technicians don't charge this much per hour, let alone jus to reset a water heater. I bought a new one from the same company less than 5 years ago and it should last 6-10...why quote me a new unit versus quoting a potential repair...WTH! Do yourself a favor and go with someone else, not a good way to keep repeat customers. read more

I used Larkin Plumbing for a warranty replacement for a Rheem water heater. The quote range given to me on the phone was a major reason I chose them. Then after they are at the house, the invoice for just the minimum labor and mandatory processing fee was higher than the high end of the phone quote range. It felt like a bait and switch, and I was kind of stuck as it had been a day without hot water and the other plumbers were scheduling a day out. The job was completed in a timely manner and appears to be acceptable. After two calls to their management, they were able to get the price within the original range, but the experience was off-putting. read more

Today I went into Larkins retail store off Industrial Rd. When I first walked through the doors, I was not greeted by anybody. After about 5 minutes of just standing at the counter, I decided that I would help myself. I located the part by myself, but there were no price tags. So finally an older gentleman decided he wanted to help me. We compared the part to make sure it was the part I needed. Then as we took it to the counter I asked the cost, and stated to him that the part should be affordable right. He replied "no way " and kinda scoffed, he was rather sarcastic about it. Then he told me the part was 89.00. I asked if he knew if I could get it cheaper anywhere else. He replied " don't know , you will have to look on your own". I went to Lowe's and the same exact part was 34.99. That's like a 55.00 mark up. They were rude and unfriendly and they are overcharging people. The person on the phone quoted me $165/hour but had no additional information when I asked him about how much the part would be to replace, about how long it would take to replace the valve, etc. It seemed like he couldn't be bothered to do anything. The plumber Ted or Tev or what ever didn't want to give us the warranty for the part. Once he agreed to the warranty he jacked up his service charge to make up the difference. Can't recommend them... I bought a stick of 4" pvc for waste from them on a sat cause i needed the part over the weekend and they were the only place open. Btw lowes and home depot dont have 4". The pipe was old and has some scratches but nothing that would cause a leak but its weird to see a supposedly new part thats somewhat cosmetically damaged. Why am i complaining? Cause i paid way more for a 10 foot piece than a 20 foot peice i would of got from my regular place at a much lower price. Never coming back!!! read more

Larkin plumbing installed a new water heater in our home in July 2023. All went well and we were very happy. Within a couple of months, our hot water faucets started to have lots of air along with the water. Water would "spirt, stop and start and make noises. We did all the things recomended to stop the issue but it made no difference. We called Larkin Plumbing and they sent their plumber, Kurt, to determine a cuase and fix the issue. Kurt came, listened to our concern, tested the system and determined that, in manufacturing, a part inside the tank was at fault. Kurt returned with a new part the next day. The entire tank ahd to be uncoupled from the system, taken down and the bad part removed and replaced. Placing the new part next to the old part for comparison, the issue was imediately apparent. As the hot water heater was only several months old, there was no charge for the work. Extensive knowledge coupled with a quick and friendly response made this an exceptional service. read more

Disappointment!!! I was referred to Larkin pluming by someone in the business that said had good reputation and service. That was not my experience. I was overcharged, lied to, received poor customer service and treated like I was stupid. I called for service as suspected my water pipe was damaged/leaking. The guy came and told me I needed the turn off value replaced and would be $400. A couple hours later when installed said it would be $600 as there for an extra hour. He would return the next day and repair water pipe with a fair quote and finish the project the same day. Looked at my phone and it seemed he was charging from the time he called me rather then when he arrived (a 1-hour difference). He called next morning when supposed to be here but "he forgot" another job and would be there in 1 1/2 hrs. FOUR hours later when I called the company to see if he was involved in an accident or why the delay, Larkin was not concerned about the lateness or the overcharge from yesterday. The Larkin guy said "if you don't like it call someone else as he had not started, plenty other people to service". I explained his employee had made a mess in my yard and was returning to finish. This at least stopped the rudeness from the main office. I also asked that a Supervisor be sent out to check work and I was told someone could be sent out in 3 days and I agreed to this. The plumber finally arrives and we do clear up the extra hour charged. Begins digging and is still doing repair in the dark and not complete when he calls it a day. He does have water running. The plumber arrives to finish project (2nd day) and I mention there is something wrong with water leaking in tub that had not happened until last night. He lectures me on cartilages that need to be changed, not his work (problem only after last night work, none before) as he was looking at the faucet. When I told him those had been changed earlier that year, he looked a little closer. Surprise, surprise, he found a piece of metal from the soldering to place the pipe. I think the Plummer should be smart enough to know that dirt and others can get around the water line and blow in when water is reconnected and this is a side effect to look for and take care. Waited for the Supervisor to come/call on day that was scheduled and he never showed up, which again makes me think this company does not value their work or customers. Which having part of this job sticking out as an eyesore in my yard makes it appear not to be a good job. Currently (about 2 weeks) I am not leaking water but I can NOT recommend this company and would advise them to get some customer service training in house and for their plumbers. If this work holds for the next 10 years, I will give a star or more that the work was adequate read more

they are the best. i called a handy man service about a shower leak they tell me the wall has to be ripped open and all the pipes needed to be replaced. i called larkin they sent over rick he was great fixed every thing with a new wax ring and a little calking. i would highly recommend this company. ps larkin should get a 7 star rating. read more

To put it simply, I called Larking plumbing to have a garbage disposal replaced in my kitchen sink. One of they plumbers came and put a new one in. It was a very loud and rough sounding one. Nothing like the one I had before. I asked him to replace it with a better and quieter one. So he put in a better one in. Perfect! Then he gave me the bill...!! I paid it without any complaints even though I knew I was paying too much! Why..? We'll I checked out the retail price on the garbage disposaI got and it saw that was about 45% lower than the price I was charged. I know that parts supplied will cost more than retail price, but how would you like to pay $ 700.00 for something that actually cost $399.00 not top of paying for all hourly labor and all..! NO GOOD!! I felt like I got ripped off!! I contacted the manager, I explained my complaint... he told me he would get back to me... but he never did!! Goodbye Larking plumbing.. Terrible customer service. Had blake come out and snake my main line. Seemed to be fine for nine days. I called and talked to bill on sunday when it clogged again. He said someone would be by monday between 8-11. At 11 I called and they said every plumber was tied up with morning calls. Called back at 4 (after a long pause) he said oh we have someone a mile away. How convenient. I told them I wanted a refund and they said I need to talk to Rich who wasn't available.
