This review is for Focus Electric, which is part of Focus Plumbing or a sister company. For some reason Focus Electric is not listed on Yelp, even though it is listed on Google, so this review is specific to Focus Electric. The builder of my home, Woodside Homes, used Focus Electric to install the electrical systems. Woodside had Focus provide a Ring Doorbell unit. The first unit, despite being a premium version, failed within months. I told Focus about it and they came out, determined that the unit had indeed failed, and replaced it with a new one. Once the new unit was installed, the technician asked if he could come inside to set it up (you don't need to come inside to set it up). I told him not to worry and that I would take care of set up as I am perfectly capable and I didn't want to waste his time. He said okay and left. A couple months later the new unit failed again. I called to ask that they come and fix it, but they told me I was out of warranty. I explained that the new unit was clearly within the manufacturer warranty as only a few months has passed, and that the issue is with the unit itself. They then said that they won't help because, as they incorrectly claimed, I didn't allow the technician to do the set up on the latest device, to which I explained that I simply opted to do the set up myself to save the technician time and I was never told that doing the set up myself would in anyway prevent them from being able to service the device in future. I then told them that this is a really bad way to treat their customers and that I would be expressing my opinion online about their company. I then got a call back shortly after saying they have decided to help me and service my camera, so I said okay great, when can you come. Well, they insisted that someone is home when they come and I was no longer living in the home at the time and was in the process of finding tenants to rent it out to. So they told me to let them know when I have a tenant living there. Fast forward a couple months, I now have a tenant living there, and I contact Focus to make a new appointment, they offer me a date about 8 days in the future and tell me to make sure the tentant is home between 8am and 12pm. I notified my tenant. Well today they never showed up and never contacted us. I had to call them myself, and they told me that they had cancelled the appointment because something about them having contacted the builder and the builder saying they wouldn't cover it or something like that. But then they again reiterated (incorrectly) the whole thing about how they believed that I didn't allow the technician to set up the most recent unit that failed. I again, explained that I was never told that was an issue and I was simply trying to save the technician time from doing something routine that literally anyone who knows how to follow instructions can do. The issue here was with the unit, they could have come out to confirm that, but instead they made up excuses to wash their hands of the issue. The worst part is that they made my tentant wait around for them for 4 hours for no reason and backtracked on their commitment to make things right. Absolutely terrible company, avoid them. read more

Focus plumbing I feel extremely disappointed with this company. I have Rheem waterless tank and they put their sticker on the Rheem body so I called them when I have an error code 11 meaning I have a defective igniter. Focus Plumbing came to our house charge me $69 for the labor and $341 for the igniter. I agree because my waterless tank is under manufacturer warranty hoping that I can claim majority of the $341. The plumber said that I may not refund all. That's fine, I'm happy if I can claim even for 50% to 75% as long as the water heater will be fix. Now, when I talked to the manufacturer, the cost of igniter is only $20 and when I tried to look at Home Depot the price is also around $20 but for a reputable and trusted brand - Focus Plumbing it charge me $341 for the parts. I feel betrayed. I rather be scam by a scammer than a trusted brand. I will appreciate if Focus Plumbing give me options such as: "hey I have an Igniter right here but it will cost you 17x than the market value and I can install it right now to fix your problem or since your heater is under warranty, you can call the manufacturer and order the parts and when the parts was delivered to you, you call us again and we will install it but you need to pay for the labor of another $69. What would you like?" If I choose install it now then I have no regret bec of the full and honest disclosure. For now, I feel extremely disappointed and scammed. read more

Focus Plumbing was the company that installed our home's initial setup in Skye Canyon by Century Communities, and is still doing work on other communities in the area. This happened a few months ago. My girlfriend, dog, and I went to Skye Canyon Park for some coffee and to walk the dog around. When we went to go back to our house, we were crossing the crosswalk legally and a Focus Plumbing truck did NOT stop for us. They almost ran over my dog! I threw my hands up in the air and the guy in the truck FLIPPED ME OFF. I called Focus immediately and they didn't give me any information, nor did they ask for my name, number, or any other info. I recently had a minor issue with my sprinkler backflow valve and I called another company and probably spent more than I should have because I cannot whatsoever trust these absolute scumbags with any of my business ever again. They didn't actually care their driver almost killed me or they would've asked for my contact info. But whatever. Now I'm out more money for repairs on things that are probably under warranty, but I feel better not giving any money to a company whose employee has no regard for other people's well-being. This company hires dangerous people apparently. I hope somebody sees this and at least decides to track their driver behaviors better, because I'm still upset that now I'm out even more money and I can't bring myself to try and use a warranty from this company with fear that the same guy might show up at my house if I called. Is this a scam??? My Rheem tankless water heater was not working so I called Focus Plumbing to come diagnose the issue. Next day, Landon S., a technician showed up and found error code 11 on the indicator. So, he showed his price list for replacing the malfunctioned part is $341 on top of $69 diagnostic charge. Since the heater is couple years old and still under a warranty, so I agreed to have it replaced. I addressed to the technician that I need a very precise details on the part that replaced so I can reimburse the part's cost from Rheem. He accepted my proposal. I then went to the kitchen for less than 10 minutes and came back and found that the part was already replaced. He asked me to check for hot water. I checked and it worked. He emailed me the receipt indicated the replaced part as ignition assembly and I sent to Rheem for the reimbursement. Rheem advised that "Ignition Assembly" is too broad and requested the exact name and the nit number of the replaced part. I contacted Joe Pressing, customer service manager, to issue a new receipt detailing name and unit number of the part. He issued a revised paper with a unit number. I submitted the revision to Rheem and was told that the replaced part costs only $20. I checked back with Joe and he replied "You are not getting charged for the part. That is written on the invoice. Labor is included. That is written down." I sent an email replied "Are you saying that I was charged $410 for replacement of the $20 part?" Surely, I would not go back for their business in the future!!! read more

Terrible service! First off, they tried to over charge me for parts and services on a "water heater" issue, over $530 in charges. Then, worst; they sent their plumber out who misdiagnosed the issue. This was discovered after I had 702PlumbAir come out and look at it. Hazel helped all the scheduling she is super nice and its a family oriented company. Christopher came out super patient, professional and kind. He was able to figure out the real problem, ordered my parts and came back and fixed them. Their prices are FAIR and they do not try and GAUGE the customer. Moreover, their plumbers really know what they are doing and are there to help rather than just provide a bill. I really would caution against this company...it's shocking that they have a 4.8 review. I think they have a company do this for me, I have had many neighbors and family with similar experiences with Focus. What is worse is that I called "Joe" their manager and tried to speak with him regarding the over pricing and charges and he stood by them and praised his well and "highly" trained Plumbers. Meanwhile Gustavo that they sent out totally missed diagnosed the problem to begin with. They are a a wast of time and good money! I encountered one of their field supervisors driving at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic on boulder hwy and then exiting on the 515 south on a Friday the 2nd at 2:44 in the afternoon on February 2024. He had a total disregard for all the other drivers. I was able to get the phone number from yelp because his number was scrapped of conveniently. I called the office and they were no help. The only positive thing I can say is we were able to get a same day appointment. Our tankless water heater went out. When the tech came he asked what the issue was and I told him we're not getting hot water and it keeps beeping with a code 11 on the pad. He never looked at it and said it was the coil igniter and that it's out. He said the manufacturer knows this is an issue and since it's under warranty they will replace the part for free we would just have to pay for the labor. I asked how much it would cost and he said $410 without skipping a beat. He was there 10 mins and unscrewed a couple of screws, plugged in a new ignitor replaced the screws and it was fixed. 10 mins from the time he pulled up til we had hot water again and that was $410 in labor!!!!!!!! Such a racket and what crooks!!!!!! $41 per minute for labor! We will never use this company in the future. read more

Have had a water leak in my yard for a few weeks, decided to finally call a plumber to have it looked at. I paid a $69 diagnostic fee, the plumber was at my home for no more than 5 minutes. Did only a cursory visual inspection and did not close any valves at all. I was handed a nearly $10,000 quote. I decided to fix it myself. After a week of research, and digging a couple holes, I have found that the water leak is entirely above ground. It was caused by a leaking water softener drain line, and a small leak in a slip coupler on my pvc line to the softener. I have remedied both issues myself for a total cost, including new tools, of $30. If I had any idea what I was doing (For example if I were a journeyman plumber as all of focus plumbing guys are) I imagine I could have diagnosed and fixed the leaks in under an hour. Either way, I was happy to save nearly $10,000 and learn a new skill, thank you for the motivation focus plumbing! read more

We purchased a Puronics Water Softner system a few years ago and was told by the rep that Ameritech would service us and just call them when needed. Well that turned into the rudest experience I ever had. The people in California who you call to set up an appointment make you feel like they have no time for you, while the local service tech does not even come to your house, but claims you live to far, but instead sends a friend who did not know what he was doing! Just after I felt cheated into buying an unserviceable water softner, I find Focus Plumbing! They are reputable company who also takes care of the Puronics system. Yay! (Ameritech sucks) The Focus Plumbing company are professional, punctual, helpful, extremely friendly and actually know what they are doing! The 1st person who came out was Adan. Very nice and answered all my questions and even loaded my brine tank with the salt. This was free service call to determine what needs to be done. The actual appointment to replace the silver component in the tank was done by Brandon. He came to my door told me how long it would take to get the job done. Again super friendly and very knowledgeable. Each time someone came out from Focus plumbing, I received a text message with a photo of the plumber and arrival time. They also wore masks. I called Focus Plumbing to come out and give a quote on installing a gas line for a fire table. The tech arrived on a Friday at noon. He told me that he would call the specs into his office for pricing. I sent him a text with my email address right after his leaving and he confirmed receipt. I did not hear from anyone and called this person on the following Monday, text on Tuesday and both a phone call and text the following Wednesday. Focus had been recommended by the Superintendent of our new community since their company handled the plumbing and electrical in all of the new homes. Needless to say after my raising awareness to the Superintendent that I had heard nothing to date, Focus called to say that they would not be sending a quote. Very poor communication on their part. The only reason I will give them a two star rating is because they did a descent job flushing our tankless water heater. We called the this week to address no hot water in our guest room bathtub/shower. They came out replaced the cartage and said we needed a new tub spout. I personally replaced the tub spout the day before. The bill was $600.00 which is high to begin with. I would not complain except when they turned off our main line they did not open a valve to easy the pressure when they opened it again. This caused my motion activated kitchen sink to blow the solenoid. The faucet was 18 months old and cost $850 new. I called Focus the let them know what had happened but was told they take no responsibility. When I asked for a good guy price to install the new faucet I was told it would be $349.00. I have recommend at least 4 neighbors to them in the past. I can tell you based on the attitude of the service manager we will never use them again.
