    Focus plumbing I feel extremely disappointed with this company. I have Rheem waterless tank and they put their sticker on the Rheem body so I called them when I have an error code 11 meaning I have a defective igniter. Focus Plumbing came to our house charge me $69 for the labor and $341 for the igniter. I agree because my waterless tank is under manufacturer warranty hoping that I can claim majority of the $341. The plumber said that I may not refund all. That's fine, I'm happy if I can claim even for 50% to 75% as long as the water heater will be fix. Now, when I talked to the manufacturer, the cost of igniter is only $20 and when I tried to look at Home Depot the price is also around $20 but for a reputable and trusted brand - Focus Plumbing it charge me $341 for the parts. I feel betrayed. I rather be scam by a scammer than a trusted brand. I will appreciate if Focus Plumbing give me options such as: "hey I have an Igniter right here but it will cost you 17x than the market value and I can install it right now to fix your problem or since your heater is under warranty, you can call the manufacturer and order the parts and when the parts was delivered to you, you call us again and we will install it but you need to pay for the labor of another $69. What would you like?" If I choose install it now then I have no regret bec of the full and honest disclosure. For now, I feel extremely disappointed and scammed.

    Is this a scam??? My Rheem tankless water heater was not working so I called Focus Plumbing to come diagnose the issue. Next day, Landon S., a technician showed up and found error code 11 on the indicator. So, he showed his price list for replacing the malfunctioned part is $341 on top of $69 diagnostic charge. Since the heater is couple years old and still under a warranty, so I agreed to have it replaced. I addressed to the technician that I need a very precise details on the part that replaced so I can reimburse the part's cost from Rheem. He accepted my proposal. I then went to the kitchen for less than 10 minutes and came back and found that the part was already replaced. He asked me to check for hot water. I checked and it worked. He emailed me the receipt indicated the replaced part as ignition assembly and I sent to Rheem for the reimbursement. Rheem advised that "Ignition Assembly" is too broad and requested the exact name and the nit number of the replaced part. I contacted Joe Pressing, customer service manager, to issue a new receipt detailing name and unit number of the part. He issued a revised paper with a unit number. I submitted the revision to Rheem and was told that the replaced part costs only $20. I checked back with Joe and he replied "You are not getting charged for the part. That is written on the invoice. Labor is included. That is written down." I sent an email replied "Are you saying that I was charged $410 for replacement of the $20 part?" Surely, I would not go back for their business in the future!!!

    Your driver (I posted the photo of his truck) just ran us off the highway lane (South on 215) into the median lane and has no idea because he was too busy on his phone to notice. We are traveling with our 6 month old baby. Please make sure your drivers are being more attentive. Thank God, my husband has extremely quick reflexes and the patience and stoicism of a Saint.

    No signal use and the phone number is gone

    I encountered one of their field supervisors driving at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic on boulder hwy and then exiting on the 515 south on a Friday the 2nd at 2:44 in the afternoon on February 2024. He had a total disregard for all the other drivers. I was able to get the phone number from yelp because his number was scrapped of conveniently. I called the office and they were no help. If this is how they care about people I don't know what their customer service is like.

He was able to determine that the leak was coming from the unit itself (not the pipes), which saved valuable time and avoided unnecessary delays. Although the initial installation timeline was about two days, I shared that our tenants have small children and asked if there was any chance for an earlier opening. They went above and beyond, contacting us the very next afternoon after they finished early for the day, and were able to complete the replacement ahead of schedule. Their pricing was transparent, the installation was efficient, and their communication was outstanding. We received updates via text, email, and phone. Michael sent a photo after the work was completed and also made it easy to handle payment remotely. Most importantly,I felt confident that they were taking great care of our tenants in our absence. I gave them a second chance to do our checkup on our air conditioning system. This is a home that we had built 7 years ago. The guy magically found issues with our system and said that we need to pay $4,000 to fix it but that would have to send someone else out to do the estimate and the work. Then he said that a capacitor was going out and we needed to pay $550+ for that. I said we will call them. We won't. I'm getting a second and third opinion before paying that much on a system that works fine. The representative was ok to deal with.

He followed up with our home warranty company (Achosa, which is another awesome company to work with). All of this got accomplished within a few hours. I double checked the phone to make sure this was the correct company that came out. On 3/29/2026 I had an active leak so my landlord called this company. Richard FaceTime me and I showed the active leak flowing out of my ceiling. We were trying to locate the shutoff valve & he had me to try to turn the knob on the water meter valve. He said we're gonna have to send out a water restoration company. So I informed by my landlord that the plumber was 20 minutes out. Not Richard who FaceTime me but another man came out to the property. When he got here, he tried to turn the water meter valve with a wrench. I asked him why he doesn't have the long stick tool to turn it that most plumber has. His reply was I forgot it. I'm thinking what kind of plumber forgets his tools. He wasn't able to turn it cause it was stuck. Anyway he takes some pictures and says to me, I'll be back to take more pictures once a claim has been started & the plumbers will come and fix the problem. I'm like what? You're not even a plumber? So I call the landlord back & told her that Richard sent a water restoration company and it wasn't even a plumber who came by. (Mind you, I have an active leak in progress.) So she calls the plumber and Richard calls me back and I tell him that wasn't a plumber you sent! He said no it was the water restoration company. I asked him what about the active leak flowing? He said I'll let you know when I'm on my way this afternoon. I said "this afternoon" So I am supposed to wait until this afternoon with all this water flowing? It was only 9:50 in the morning. So I ask him, so I have to deal with flowing water on my floor damaging property until you decide to show up this afternoon? I text the owner, he tells her one thing & tells me another so she must have got on him cause now he's all of a sudden on his way after wasting all this time. He should have been on his way when he called & FaceTime me seeing the active leak on the screen. He tells me he does a lot of work in these old townhomes (Paradise Village) he's doing everything but address the active leak itself. What most people don't realize it that a plumber gets a kickback from the water restoration company so they want to get a claim open as soon as possible. What is wrong with people these days. He was letting the active leak continue probably to create more damage. The more water damage, the bigger the restoration and the bigger the kickback. Then he realizes that he made things worse by opening up the valves and looks at the ceiling and says your landlord has to put you in a hotel, this is inhabitable & just left leaving the water flowing. I wanted to write this review to warn others about this company and to encourage others to read multiple reviews both good and bad I it's entirely before deciding to hire. I'm so disappointed in this company and must warn others to beware of this company. In desperation I ended up calling a friend of mine whose roommate was an actual master plumber that actually stopped the water flow & fixed the plumbing. Why didn't I call him in the 1st place? Because the landlord was responsible in sending a plumber. But thanks to my friend she now has a reliable plumber who first interest isn't to try to get a kickback from a water restoration company but to actually help his customers. Even though we called late in the day and during a holiday, they were able to get us scheduled for the first appointment the next morning. He followed all safety and cleanliness procedures, including wearing shoe covers, and clearly explained what he was doing every step of the way and what needed to be done to resolve the issue. Jeremy also pointed out other items he observed during the service that may need attention in the future. He explained which items were more critical and the potential consequences if left unresolved. She said she really trusted this company so I called Friday afternoon and spoke to Jessica who gave me an appt time within an 1 1/2hr of my call. I really was impressed with the text letting me know the service rep was on his way along with a picture so I would know who to expect. Lorenzo Garcia was very nice, professional and got to work right away. He had everything he needed for the job, including his own hose and nozzle for cleaning. I won't go into detail on everything he did but suffice to say he did an awesome job and as I purchased a service plan, look forward to seeing him again in the future. MY two issues and experience with Pure thus far: HVAC: I called Pure to get a receipt to submit to LVWD. They mentioned they were doing AC tune-ups before the imminent heat, so I went ahead. The inspection is FREE. Operators are always really helpful and friendly! Kyrin handled our tech needs today and did an excellent job. He carefully conducted the inspection and provided thorough explanations. We received valuable insights about our old units, how to maintain them now, and how to plan for future upgrades. Overall, Pure delivered outstanding service, and we had a very positive experience from the initial phone call through the service and afterward. PLUMBING: Pure Plumbing responded quickly when a pipe burst near our main line, and they truly exceeded expectations. Among the several companies I contacted, Pure stood out right away in their price and professionalism. Stephen visited for the quote, going above and beyond by walking our entire half-acre property to locate a secondary shutoff and even helping dig out to address the leak. His quote was about a third of what others offered, despite having multiple high-rated companies provide estimates. Niko and Kevin managed the repair expertly--explaining everything beforehand, finishing ahead of schedule, and thoroughly cleaning up before walking me through the work. The automated texts with technician photos and bios before arrival are a thoughtful touch that makes a difference. A few days later, Stephen called to check if we were satisfied. (Non emergency situation since it's just the beginning of summer) When the tech came out he was punctual, and came in with a neat uniform. He quoted me $2k+ then said, "I can replace the following parts, but I can't guarantee how much longer your unit will last." "If it were me I would get a brand new unit." I informed the tech he was my first estimate/quote of the day, and that I have 2 other techs scheduled, "I'll get back to you." The look on his face looked irritated that I was not ready to make a decision. He also didn't understand the social que that "I'll let you know," means to also leave my home. As I tried walking him out he said "let me at least get you some air flowing." And at the time it seemed like a genuine act, & such desperation for sales, in my head I remember thinking "damn, if this tech doesn't make a sale is he going to get fired?" That was the pressure I felt. So I was over charged for a capacitor. Replacing the capacitor did not fix my issue. I suppose this was a learning lesson for me, that when obtaining a quote, next time I'll stand my ground, and just ask the tech to straight up leave. Or I can make sure to have a male friend present. I requested $120.00 refunded to me, out of the $300 I paid. That would make this icky feeling go away. I have not heard back from the operations manager. Do some research before moving forward with Goettl.
