Bought my house earlier this year. Too bad my property inspector was a loser and did not call out the 9-year-old water heater without a drain pan as a concern. That reminds me, I should review that crap company. Then again, he knows where I live... Anyways, 2 weeks ago as I was leaving the front door to walk my two dogs, I noticed a water leak coming from my garage. Sure enough, when I went to check on it, the water heater was leaking. I quickly turned off the water heater and shut the water valve. However, the damage was already done. The water had seeped into the drywall. FML. I immediately went into crisis mode and called American Home Shield. The first company they offered had really bad Yelp reviews. So I said "next" and they offered Alpha Plumbing. I said okay, reviews aren't too bad and I need some Alphas. Alpha called me within an hour and had Armen and Angel come by the next day. Armen looped the water line so that it would not enter the water heater and so that at least I could use cold water and he drained our 75-gallon water tank. He mentioned something else but the accent was hella' thick so I just said "uh huh, sure." After Armen and Angel left, I called Marina from Alpha to find out what the next step was. She suggested I call Daniel at Imperial Restoration to remove the damaged drywall and dry out the walls before mold were to grow. This was a great referral because Daniel and his son were awesome. But that should be a separate review as well. A lot of in-between steps were involved such as calling my insurance adjustor, calling a restoration company to repair the damage, etc. After the repairs were done, George and Angel from Alpha came by and installed the water heater as well as the drain pan and a drain pipe (additional fee not covered by the home warranty). George gave me great tips on making sure to call a plumber to drain the water heater annually since the water in Vegas is super hard. So after 12 long days of cold showers, I finally had hot water again. That first steaming shower felt like a spa day in heaven. Overall, Alpha Plumbing was awesome -- quick, transparent, and actually cared. My insurance company, on the other hand, is a little... frugal (that's another rant but damn it, he knows where I live too!). Ok, not going to lie, I haven't been around this many Armenians since I left Glendale, CA for the Bay Area 10 years ago before moving to Las Vegas this year. My AHS warranty used Alpha Plumbing to replace my damaged water heater, for the most part the service was adequate, however, I later learned that they charged $250 for a "Permit" that AHS didn't cover and the fee for that permit thru the building dept was $150. Was sent to my house by our home warranty company. Called for a leaky faucet, water heater and a toilet running non stop. Simon took a bunch of pictures then left. Home warranty called and said the items weren't covered. We have the platinum plan so we knew it was covered. Home warranty said the pipe to the toilet isn't covered and the sink plug isn't covered, which is odd cause neither was the issue, it's a washer and the flap? Seems like a scam, warranty company takes your money in advance now, so it seems they don't want to do the work, just get paid. Very disappointing service. Had same warranty company for 11 years and was always good, show up, fix, get paid. Alpha Plumbing was assigned via American Home Shield, my home warranty company. They contacted me within 24 hours of being assigned to set up the appointment over a holiday weekend so I was not expecting to hear from them until the Monday following. I received text updates regarding arrival time. Tech sent was Simon. He fixed the problem and left his card and let me know that they have a 30 day warranty and to contact them if a problem arose versus AHS. He also had me speak with someone at the office to verify that the service was complete and reiterate the 30 day warranty. Hope to not need their services again but if I have another plumbing issue it's worth it to refresh your browser until they are the assigned company. read more

Alpha Plumbing is running a scam on home warranty customers and I have it on tape. Their "senior" technician came to my home to diagnose a very simple pinhole leak in a copper pipe. A textbook warranty claim. I recorded the entire interaction. Plumbing system 'modifications' are not covered by the home warranty. On that recording he defined a "modification" as anytime you cut and remove a pipe and reconnect which means by his own definition, no pipe repair can ever be covered under your warranty. He then submitted service notes to my warranty company containing false statements about prior repairs in my home that never happened. I disputed the denial, hired a second licensed plumber who fixed the identical job for LESS than what Alpha wanted for the non-covered portion alone, and that licensed plumber confirmed Alpha's modification classification was professionally dishonest. I ultimately WON the dispute with my warranty company, who reimbursed me after I threatened regulatory complaints. Alpha Plumbing cost me weeks of stress and a repair that should have been covered from day one. Zero stars. read more

Let's talk about Matt. Came 2 times to fix toilet...now the water keep running after flashing and filling up toilets almost halfway full. All my other bathrooms don't have tgat issue and Matt said that it was normal. On top of it he was on the phone the whole time asking someone else questions and what he needs to do. I called American home shield and told them the first company tech did NOTHING but took a picture and left. Whatever they wrote to the AHS caused the claim to be denied. They wanted to charge me 450 for a new disposal !! Do not use Advance home services . You will get an unnecessary decline and charge not to mention waste of a day off . . Alpha technician arrived promptly, was very professional, honest, and thorough. In less than five minutes, he was able to diagnose and fix the issue with my existing disposal--no unnecessary upselling, just quality work. Wish I'd seen all the other people trying to warn about the SCAM these people have going. Adding mine to the mix. AHS (home warranty) had them come out for my water heater. Matt clearly stated the crack in the water heater was because it's old (16 years old) and I was lucky it lasted so long. Their office called me that afternoon and said AHS denied coverage due to capacity being incorrect. She stated I had 38,000 BTU and absolutely needed at minimum 49,000 BTU per "code". She pleaded I make sure whoever services this installs a larger capacity unit, and then quoted me $3,500 and begged I not leave a bad review because it was AHS who determined this issue. She was unable to provide the code, and then closed the ticket after I request she not make any changes until I decided next steps. Per AHS customer service, they read the report verbatim which stated the exact capacity recommendation she had, and that AHS does not check code that is what they rely upon technicians to do and make a diagnosis. When calling alpha, the technician refused to call me back. The woman then blatantly lied and claimed they made no mention of capacity, they only uploaded an image of my water heater. I then requested an estimate for a water heater of the same capacity, in which her tune switched and she said absolutly not, they cannot go against the code in which they work by. She was unable to cite the code. I questioned how they made a diagnosis if they don't have a code. After trying to convince me I was required to contact the city for the code, she then stated a Las Vegas city inspector provided the this code: https://www.law.cornell.edu/regulations/washington/WAC-51-56-0500. I questioned why the city would provide a code for Washington state. She then read the table wrong. She tried to convince me 49 gallons (clearly labeled) represented 49,000 BTU (the exact information the AHS representative was reading from the submit report). I asked how the capacity only became issue after i didn't agree to the $3,500 out of pocket estimate she gave me. Silence. When I called back and spoke to a different woman, she stood by the fact they submit a diagnosis stating capacity was incorrect, that they used the incorrect random google table, that she would not reopen the ticket, and that somebody sent them this code 10 years ago and that's how they do business and there's nothing I can do about it. For reference I live in a 1,000 sq ft condo. 2b2br. 2 people. 3 reputable plumbers have confirmed there is no capacity issue, and that the quoted price was ridiculous. I'd like to recommend in the future, if you are going to rip people off, please lie better. It was embarrassing having to walk through how absurd your statements were on the phone, while we both knew due to the structure of a warranty, I had no power to fix your wrongdoing or hold you accountable, my only option is to wait a few more days without a heater until a second company can come and fix it. read more

I had a terrible experience with Alpha Plumbing through my home warranty. The technician, Jason, arrived and within about two minutes said there was a problem. He claimed he couldn't remove the handle from my shower and said the only option was to cut it off and replace it--unless I could somehow get it off myself. He gave me about two minutes to try, then said he had five more jobs and wasn't going to "wait around all day." He demanded that I sign his invoice so he could leave. When I asked him to give me just a minute to see if we could resolve the issue, he refused and continued insisting that I sign. At that point he was becoming aggressive, and I just wanted him out of my house. The whole interaction felt rushed, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. AHS assigned Alpha Plumbing to come out to check a leaking water supply line valve beneath our toilet. On the initial visit, the tech felt that the valve simply needed tightening, which worked for an hour or so and the leak started up again. I called Alpha Plumbing, and David assured me that their work was guaranteed and he'd have a tech out this morning. Ozman, the Alpha tech, showed up promptly at 9am, replaced the valve, checked my water pressure and got the job done expertly, quickly and with a very friendly and helpful attitude. While AHS doesn't always assign the best companies for home repair claims, they hit a home run with Alpha. They would be my go-to company if I needed plumbing service in the future! I have had two plumbing problems recently. The last one was wonderful. Simon showed me the problem, replaced the connection, and was done. He was professional and respectful. He was efficient and explained what was needed, how he was going to fix the problem and exactly what he was going to do. The previous repair people from their company were also professional and respectful. They said my water softener could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. They called back to the company for approval several times to see if they could try different things. It was old so I understood. However they told my home warranty company that I did not do the routine maintenance on it, which was untrue (I did all the routine maintenance that was in the owners manual) and which they never even discussed with me. So the Home Warranty company would not replace it. If, there was something I didn't do, they should have shown me the problem. read more

Scam operation . Don't use their service! Our home Insurance company sent them to our home to fix a leak from a ceiling. The plumber changed the knobs on the tub, said the problem was fixed and left. Next morning same problem . I called them up and their representative hung up the phone on me after recommending thousands of dollars in repairs. Bait and switch company. Post Script -Add DISHONEST after reading their reply. I most certainly was hung up on AND the plumber told us he fixed the problem and suddenly more work was needed. Oldest trick in the book. Alpha Plumbing LLC was dispatched to my property as a second opinion for an AHS home warranty claim. Angel was the person I spoke with. I was able to send her photos of my valve and I spoke with her over the phone to explain what had happened with the previous company and my concerns. She advised that if they could order the like part, they would swap like-for-like. I expressed that this was my preference. After some messaging back and forth, it was discovered that the valve my property had was discontinued but simply replaced by a lead-free version that could be swapped like-for-like. I ended up speaking directly with someone at the manufacturer to discover this. The reason for 4/5 stars is that when the plumber arrived, they did not arrive with the correct part, despite the conversations. So annoying - but not the end of the world. read more

I only spoke with Marina on the phone but did not have any service done. I got a message from her through my home warranty. While we tried to connect, a friend seemed to figure out the problem. I told Marina this, and she honestly said that they don't do that particular work, so it is best not to have them come out right away, try out my friend's recommendation, that she will cancel the request with the insurance company, and resubmit if I still have a problem. When I called the office manager literally laughed. Then they tell me the owner would call me back but it was the same "office manager" who said that my fiancé was lying. These guys are the real deal. They were assigned by American Home Shield when we filed a service request, and in the past, the companies assigned by AHS are garbage. I was immediately surprised by Alpha Plumbing because they were NOTHING like AHS. Angel and Rimma (I think that's how the name is spelled) in the office were fantastic and responsive to my inquiries for information. The plumber who came out, Armen, was very professional and knew what we has doing. I don't know any of them and I'm not trying to do anything other than simply share my good experience with them and the service they provided. Alpha Plumbing is fantastic. If I could give zero stars I would. There's a reason there are all these bad reviews. This company is a scam and problems waiting to happen. As the same with others my warranty company dispatched this company for a water heater repair. And as the same the warranty company was willing to take care of some stuff. But for some reason alpha came up with numerous bogus things that needed to be done adding up to $1000. Come on. A new water heater isn't $1000. Good thing two other companies came out and were willing to switch out the water heater (which was under warranty) and reinstall for $475. Half the price. Customers beware. Contacted HSA because my upstairs tub was not getting hot enough water to give my son a bath. They assign Alpha and George came out. He argued with me that It was because it was on the second story so the water has to travel to far to stay hot even though We have a tankless and recirculating pump. I explained that my master bath had hot water and it was even further from the hot water heater. He even tested the temp and it was 6degrees cooler than my downstairs tub but said it was normal. I told him I believe I needed a new cartridge. He then said since I have moen faucets I could call them myself and request a replacement. what is the point of a home warranty if I have to do repairs myself. He left and I called the warranty company and they sent out Excellence plumbing for a second opinion. The plumber immediately said i needed a cartridge and submitted for approval. The next day excellence replaced my cartridge and amazingly I had hot water to give my kid a bath. I believe George just did not want to bother replacing the cartridge or has never had to give a kid a bath and wait forever for a tub to fill up. I asked HSA to put Alpha on a list to never be assigned to any of my claims in the future. read more
