Food was good. Service was good. Ambiance was cool -- maybe a former gas station or auto service center? I like that they were open at 11am on a weekday. I had the brisket. Took a little bit longer than expected to get our food, but not terribly long.

Rib Tip & Dark Meat Chicken Combo *** w/ Sauce on Side

I love Lark's. I've been going to Lark's since 2000 when they used to be in that old gas station up Main Street a ways. Back in the day when you ordered your order was received slabs of meat cane out of a window and were ferociously chopped up with a meat clever. I miss that experience, but none the less their BBQ is top notch. Always on point. I have learned to order my BBQ with the sauce on the side SOS. That's a personal preference. Their sauce is amazing not too sweet, no too sour and with a little kick at the end. Love it! I just like to taste the meat and I think they do a jerk rub on the chicken, but I've never asked. I always call when I'm on my way so I can come in and pay and eat. Which suits me just fine. The picture below is of their Combo with Rib Tips & Dark Meat Chicken. Amazing one of my favorite meals in SWMI. If you have not been? Give them a shot. They are part of the foundation and soul of Benton Harbor and it shows in their delicious food.

Awesome BBQ ribs and catfish. First time here at another's recommendation and I will return and recommend. This is true wood smoked meat.

Good amount of food for the price. It does take a minute for food to come out, but that just means it's fresh. Wish there were more options for dinners (meat with sides included), but I can't complain. The facility was very clean.

Seemed to be one of the few resturants opened in downtown area on a Friday night. The restaruant was interesting. You go in, order first, then find a seat. There are not waiters. So towards the end of the meal we realized there are no waiters, so we had to go up and ask for a refill of water and was not sure what to do with our trays. Pretty pricey menu for quanitty and quality of food. Got the large pulled chicken, ~$10 for bowl of chicken, sauce, and a side. Also got 2 corn breads. The chicken was very dry, probably would not get it again. The corn bread was very very dry, would not recommend getting it, but there are other breads and sides you could try that looked and sounded better.

The first taste of that pulled chicken sandwich was fantastic! Juicy, tangy, so flavorful. Not to mention very hospitable staff. This spot is open for business during Covid and there is dine-in available. Just to prove how good this place is, there were people in line or picking up food the entire time we were eating. Their menu has a good variety of sides, sandwiches, and platters and their prices were very reasonable. Really enjoyed and would highly recommend!.

All I can say is 10/10!!! The food was amazing and the service was even better. The fish and brisket sandwiches were delicious and crispy. The fries and corn nuggets were hot and fresh. The brisket sandwich was saucy and well seasoned. The catfish burger is to die for and fried very well! I will definitely be back again!

Although the workers were friendly, the food was not up to par. I ordered a small brisket (unbelievably dry. It was smothered in barbecue sauce. I don't know if it helped/made it worse) and Lark's Rib Tips (very tough. I had to wrench it out of my mouth.) A friend ordered ribs, gumbo (decent) and something else. Boy ordered a shrimp po' boy sandwich. The shrimp were so small. About the size of a quarter. Disappointed in the quality of the food, but I liked the atmosphere and customer service.

My husband got the "in a van down by the river" cocktail, which I tasted, and we both agreed was delicious. For our appetizer, which we had never ordered one before from this establishment, we got the Wisconsin cheese curds. The sauce it came with reminds me of a good sauce for onion rings and was just as amazing on the cheese curds (it was called Sunny ranch I believe). We both got our usual entrees, my husband ordered a double smash burger and I got the atomic punk sandwich, both of which came with fries. My husband devoured his food, while my anxiety basically required me to wait until we got home to eat. I would definitely recommend stopping by The Brick House and grabbing a bite to eat. They have never disappointed us or the people we've sent their way.

The unique beer selection hits all the marks and my seltzer was exactly what I needed after a long day in the sun getting burnt at the beach! We happened upon The Buck at around 8:30 and bellied up to the bar. The website showed they closed at 10, so we thought we would have a couple of drinks and head back to the hotel. We had never been there so I made some small talk and I learned about the wheel of indecision. I was excited to try it (knowing my husband was with me boosted my confidence cause he'll drink anything... lol). They also have a huge variety of local beers! There were still quite a few people lingering, so we settled in to enjoy our drinks. I continued to try to make small talk with the bartender, but she seemed less than thrilled to have us there. The staff began cleaning up and closing down not long after we arrived and the bartender brought us our tab pretty quickly. We attempted to get an uber starting at 9:23 (they aren't kidding about Lake effect winds!), but apparently those are few and far between in St. Joseph. They closed up all around us, so we took the hint and walked back to the hotel around 9:45. The concept was great... (we loved the wheel). I will also say, we did take a Facebook call from our daughter about halfway thru (which I know can be annoying), but even before and after that, we could tell that they were not interested in having walkins an hour and a half before closing. I'm giving this a 3 because we also understand long shifts and being ready to be done for the night, so maybe we will try again next time we are in town and I can update my review!

My husband got the triple cheeseburger, no pickle, no onion, add bacon.  My bestie and I both got double burgers (hers without pickles).  I was disappointed they didn't ask how we liked rhem cooked they they lost likely would have had we sat in the restaurant.  The burgers all came somewhere around medium well which was fine for me and my best friend but my husband is more of a well done guy.  For 2 double cheeseburgers and a triple cheeseburger add bacon it was $23 which is not bad at all considering each patty is a third of a pound.  My husband, who picked up the food, said it was super heavy (lol). The burgers are delicious, not exactly how I remember the Roxy burgers but pretty darn close.  It oddly reminded me of meatloaf.  My husband eats burgers a lot and we have tried most (if not all) burger places in the area to find our favorites.  Grand Crossing is definitely top 3 for me.  I have yet to expierence the staff or restaurant itself but the food is on point.  I will continue to come here for a delicious burger that takes me down memory lane.  Next time I'll have to sit down.
