Video surveillance, police report , mechanics report all show the same thing which is the gas pump spraying gasoline all over the ground and my car with my daughter in it. My daughter took our only car (which is all we can afford, so we have spent tons of money and time maintaining it ) to Larry's Sunoco. The gas pump flooded our engine covering the car and the ground in lots of highly flammable gasoline. The worker there told her it was good to drive , which was not the case as the car was completely destroyed and broke down right by the gas station. Had to borrow money to pay for it to get towed to the stop. Mechanic confirmed the gas flooding the engine was the only reason it is now undriveable. Larry has refused to pay for his clear wrong doing and to add insult to injury has not responded. I don't know how we will financially cover from this. I wouldn't even buy a pack of gum here. read more

I have been stopping by at this location multiple times and never had a problem. The gas station staff handles everything in a professional manner and very friendly. It is convenient and reasonably priced.The location does have a quick stop shop for a quick coffee or snack. I would definitely recommend it. read more

That's a reliable statement - I've passed this place every day to and from work for over a year - they're the lowest, never fail. And they don't sham you by charging an extra $0.10/gal if you're paying by debit/credit card like many places around here do. I also have to give this gas station props because the attendants are always on top of their game, and even in high spirits (maybe from the fumes?) That means a lot to me because one of my biggest pet peeves about living in Jersey is not being able to pump my own gas; it drives me crazy. I get annoyed waiting on slow attendants that act retarded, or the ones that want to talk me to death while pumping my gas. I've used these guys twice and highly recommend them. Very nice group of people to deal with, good quality techs and fair prices. They worked with me to fit me into their schedule. Besides, ever see a hot dog vendor at a gas station? Their gas prices are so compeitive that that the place can be a mad house, people backing up on Route 1 to wait for gas and a spot to grab a bite to eat if you're waiting. Be careful when renting a car here. They do not put all of their information on the website and then will not let you rent when u arrive. I saw them turn away 4 customers all with the same issues. My gripe with this gas station is that they do not post their mid grade and premium gas prices by the highway. Only the price for regular gas is posted there. Of course when pull up at the pump you will see that premium is almost 50 cents more than other local gas stations! read more

Been taking my car here for years and have always been pleased with the service. Unfortunately the other day my relationship with Larry's went sour. Asked them to fix the horn on my girlfriend's car... It wouldn't sound when pressed. He "fixed" it by drilling a hole in the steering column and attaching a giant button that looked like something out f a clown car. When I mentioned that I was upset that he damaged the car by drilling a hole and not just fixing the horn as requested, he became dismissive, telling me that I was being picky and that basically he didn't care that I had a problem. A few days later I returned to pick up my car that had been left for work earlier. As I walked in, he started yelling at me, "you motherfucker... You never talk to me like that, you here? You asshole!" I was taken aback and asked for me to just be given my car back and that I would like to leave. He tried tO give me some song and dance about how he wasn't going to give it back until I learned some respect. He then started to shove me out of the store yelling the whole time, "come on try something punk, I'll get you locked up" I told him not to touch me and to give me my car or I would call the police. He told me $160. I picked up the work order off the desk so that I could see the charges for my self, at which point he ripped it out of my hand and started yelling again. I grabbed the paper back at which point he began aggressively shoving me and trying to take the paper out of my hand. I let him have it as I didn't want a fight. I paid him cash for the work, at he gave my my change in all 5's and 1's. I seriously don't understand what happened at all and am shocked. I had always had a decent relationship there and thought the work was good, but will never go back. The owner is unstable or losing his mind or something. I feel bad for him, but also do not want to assaulted when I take my car for repairs. He was abusive to my girlfriend as well. A seriously strange new years day experience :( read more

Before today I pretty much always gassed up at this location. I rented a Penske truck from this location and was returning it. At the pump my husband was telling the guy that we were only buying five dollars of gas because out move was local and we only used a small amount of gas. The owner who was standing near heard this and immediately got aggressive with my husband and was very rude. Accusing us of trying to scam the Penske for gas. The exchange got heated and I tried to diffuse the situation between my husband and Larry. Larry actually had gotten closer to my husband and dared him to hit him. I stood in between the men to avoid any physical confrontations. Lo and behold, my husband was right and to fill up the truck to the brim cost $5.09, and that was after Larry forced gas into the truck until it just about overflowed. He then said well you leave the truck here and I said let me get my purse out of the truck and he said to me: Get your shit out of the truck then! I asked him why he was cursing at me when I was the one trying to diffuse the situation. Larry said that shit wasn't a curse word. o_O. I will never again spend any money at this place and will be reporting him to the BBB.org as well as Penske headquarters. For customers to be treated like this and disrespected with no apology is unacceptable. read more

The OWNER over charged me 11.40 for gas when I asked for 30$ cash he put over 30 dollars when look over and notice it's going up to 40$ and said excuse me I asked for 30$ I am holding 30$ and he said "you asked to fill up! I asked you twice!" Mind you he just said OK when I asked for 30$ regular never asked me twice to verify didn't even repeat what I said! I asked him how 30 dollars even sounds like fill up? Then he was yelling at me and he said i asked for 40$... if I asked for 40 you still charged me 41.40!!!! I will never go back here. I didn't even have enough cash to pay 41.40 I only had 40$ on me so I charged it to my credit card and will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. I had an issue with my Avis rental car and was directed towards Larry's Sunoco by an Avis Representative. The operator at Larry's Sunoco was very rude and unfriendly. She was in a huge rush to shut the store down and rush home. I had to call her up 3-4 times to get the location of their store. I reached the store much earlier than their closure time but she snapped at me saying this is the time u show up. I had to visit the place twice before i could get my car exchanged . Thanks to the operator. If is so unhappy with her job she should look out for something else. read more

Excellent service at this place. I went to this place to get my auto insurance inspection done and was in and out in 20 minutes. I reached just beyond their window period of 9 am to 4 pm for the inspection and was told by the person at the counter that it was beyond their timings for this service. As I was getting ready to leave and return the next day, the person offered to do it anyways, seeing that I had come all the way after office hours. He gave me the form to fill-in and got the entire inspection completed in the next 10 minutes. I have filled up gas at the place twice and the service was courteous and fast! Definitely recommend this place if you are living nearby or passing through. read more

This place is fantastic. I brought my car in because I'd taken it to Jiffy Lube (Lawrenceville, NJ) the day before and, because they didn't put the oil filter on correctly, it came off while I was driving down the highway and all the oil drained out immediately. The wonderful guys at Larry's Sunoco took care of it in under 15 minutes, were very friendly, and even offered to talk to the manager at Jiffy Lube to confirm that their mechanics had indeed not screwed on the oil filter tightly enough.
