UPDATE: BUYERS BEWARE! The initial experience was grand. We came into the dealership with our own financing through our bank. They told us that because it was outside financing and at night, we needed to have their financing as a back up to take the car home. So, we said, okay, we guess that makes sense. We took the car home. A few days later our bank calls and said they never received all the information on the vehicle. One if the pieces of information was the VIN number. Called Larson Dodge back. They went ahead and processed the loan through their department. The lady said that it was a huge difference in the interest rate. Our banks was 1.99% and theirs was 3.49% my husband said we didn't want to finance through you. They had no apology. They said we can always refinance later. Which tells us, they wanted to pad their numbers. Then two days later, we opened our drivers side door and the carpet is separated from underneath the panel. Not torn. Just separated. We call Larson Dodge. They don't warranty used cars. We're paying just over $15,000 for a car with less than 50,000 miles on it and they won't warranty. Flash forward a few weeks, we received our first bill. We are trying to refinance with our bank. In order to do this we need to remove the Gap Insurance. We told her no to gap insurance in the office when she said they needed a back up plan. We remember this clearly because we knew our financing was solid. Now we have it?? So we call and call and call... finally someone calls back. "Come on down and sign the paperwork and we'll have it removed for you." They said. Went down and filled it out. The lady said it would take a bill cycle to take in affect. Three payments later, 42 logged phone calls, with them just sending us to voicemail, we get a call back. They lady says "I'm going to personally see what is going on. I will call you in 1 hour." It's been two days...no call back. So, if you do proceed here. Inspect your vehicle, top to bottom. Remember that new car excitement can block your judgement and they know it. Stick to you financing and make sure what's still happen ing to us, doesn't happen to you. Less than a month ago, my son embarked on the journey of owning his dream vehicle--a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn from Larson's Chrysler Dodge. The sales experience, orchestrated by the excellent Justin, was seamless, and our confidence in the purchase led us to opt for the extended warranty. Justin assured us that the vehicle had undergone a comprehensive multi-point inspection, setting our expectations high for a trouble-free ride. However, the joyous ride took a detour less than 10 days later when the ABS light started blinking, and all-wheel drive vanished. Not to worry, we thought--we had the extended warranty for situations like these. Loyalty to Larson led us to schedule a service appointment two weeks later, strategically on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Anticipating the wait, we requested a loaner vehicle, only to find none available upon drop-off. Despite promises from our service rep, the Wednesday deadline came and went without a status update. Frustrated, we learned that warranty denial was the cause, attributed to a rear wheel sensor issue. Options were presented, but clarity was elusive. Come Monday, our service Rep was mysteriously absent, leaving my son to interact with another service rep. A quote of $232 for repairs prompted approval, and we agreed to pick up the vehicle on Tuesday after a long battle with Seattle traffic. To our dismay, upon payment, we discovered the ABS light persisted--the $232 merely covered the diagnostic fee. Shockingly, no repairs had been made. A subsequent quote of $900 for a wheel sensor repair left us questioning the value of our time, energy, and loyalty to Larson. In reflection, the sales experience with Justin was commendable, but it revealed a stark truth--the vehicles don't receive the promised thorough inspection. Post-purchase, issues like low brake fluid, overdue oil and transmission changes surfaced. Advice verify warranty coverage. Our extended warranty. Ultimately, our disillusionment with Larson's service department is a verdict--we won't be returning. The company that once earned our loyalty failed to value our time and deliver on promises, teaching us valuable lessons in the process. read more

I agree with pretty much every negative comment made on this company. I have always bought used vehicles & paid cash so when I finally broke down & bought my very first new car I made the mistake of purchasing it from Larson Dodge. I will NEVER have anything positive to say about these people or this company. I have had to go in on 3 seperate occasions for service related issues & each time I have been treated like I was some kind of bother. Once I was standing where the line would be & the guys behind the counter continued talking & looking at their computers, never once acknowledging me. After about 10 minutes one of them FINALLY said "Is there something I can help you with." Well no (*&^...I thought I would just stand here all day for the fun of it. The first time having to go in, it was supposed to be a scheduled appointment & a rental was supposed to be ready. Guess what....they didn't know anything about either one. Recently I received a recall notice in the mail so I called them to schedule a time to get this fixed. First off, you can never get anyone to answer the phone and then when you do you are transferred just to let it ring again. I continued to press zero for the operator until she finally got me a LIVE person in the service dept. I told him what I needed to schedule & he was not personable at all. He proceeded to tell me he would need my vehicle by 3pm on a weekday. I told him that was not acceptable. I worked 8-5 weekdays & lived in Tacoma. Can I get a saturday appt? He told me he didn't have techs that do recall work on saturdays. WTH???? That is a bunch of BS if I ever heard it. I told him my car needed fixed & his exact words were "I dont know what to tell you." Really...you dont know what to tell me. I know what to tell you....go F yourself. Hows that. I have never dealt with so many incompetent, unprofessional, rude people in all my life as I have when I have had to deal with Larson. I will NEVER go there again. You can try & complain to the head guy at Larson but it doesn't get you anywhere. They are greedy, selfish people that only care about themselves. Be warned...go elsewhere!!! read more

I recently purchased a new vehicle w/Justin and Jelena Smith! I was in and out of the car lot within and HOUR!!! Time is extremely important these days and who wants to sit at a car lot ALL day with that feeling of "will I get approved"? Not with Justin and Jelena, they had my loan pre-approved before I even came into the lot and were extremely diligent in providing me with anything and everything, I would need to bring with me. I LITTERALLY did this all w/in the comfort of my own home online, who would have thought buying a vehicle would be so easy?! Justin and Jelena are AMAZING at advertising what is available. I've been wanting a new SUV for some time now, but I'm not the biggest fan of doing my homework and looking at several different websites, plus sometimes this starts to get confusing! NOT w/Justin and Jelena, they post their inventory EVERYWHERE, they do the hard work for YOU! It saved me time and the hassle of doing it on my own. Justin posted the vehicle on his Facebook page early in the morning and after looking at the SUV I KNEW it was for me. I drove off the lot that same night! Justin also knows his stuff - so if you have any questions at all he's able to answer them right away, and if he can't, he will find someone that can. Justin even offered to come in on his day off so I could pick up my vehicle, we were able to figure out a time that worked better for both of us, but who does that? No one wants to come into work on their day off! This process has HANDS DOWN been the easiest and smoothest transaction of buying a new vehicle! Thank you both so much for all your help. You can see that you both are extremely heartfelt people and truly care that the needs are met for your customers. You made me feel like family and not just a customer and I could tell that it was so much more to you both than just selling another vehicle to someone. I will say this...the beginning of our car buying experience was great. I knew Justin Smith from Fb. Didn't know him, know him. But heard some ok things and not so ok things about him in particular but was willing to give him a shot! If I could give this review no stars, I would. Worst ever! I think Justin was wanting his 30th car sale, didn't really care how he got, he was gonna try and get it. The minute we left that lot with our new car, EVERYTHING CHANGED! Justin didn't answer any calls, texts or emails from us when it regarded our issues to finance, and that was after us trying to get ahold of the finance officer several times! They made US call and track down info...when they are a car dealership!!! They added on a warranty to our car when we clearly had paper work stating we did not want that, and wouldn't take it off unless we provided proof! This place is the worst! Justin is only worried about his sales for the month when really he should care about how he operates his sales or go back to school and figure out how to do his job! Now I know he may have alllll these friends. I won't get bullied or harassed because I state the obvious! He's a crook. He has no idea how to do his job and he constantly asks me over fb messages that he wants to f@$& my friend! He even told me this but I am classy. I am married and I think that's highly insulting and disrespectful to operate in a perverted atmosphere. This was the WORST car buying experience ever. I am thankful it's now over and we can move on. But I will never recommend anyone to go here again! And it sickens me that I even went. Now, I know my husband sent over all the texts and messages Justin sent me regarding sexual advances to his HR. Where do I start??? First of all, the love and hospitality that was shown to my family and I was nothing short of amazing! I talked with the sales manager Rob and made an appointment with him. When I arrived, he was with another customer so I had Landy help me out looking for my truck (Ram). I told her what my must haves were. She is very knowledgeable in the truck realm! We looked at a few trucks all of which were hot! We test drove a truck that exceeded my expectations but wasn't exactly what I was looking for because it had bucket seats, she even made a joke asking if I truly need all my children in the truck (definitely made me wonder if it did) lol! Fast forward, I met with Rob and man, this is how every Sales Manager should be with customers! He is the prime example of customer service!! He scoured for my truck as it's a rare combination. I gave up hope honestly, and then he gave me great news.............He found my truck!!!!!! He didn't try to up sale me on anything, he knew I have 4 children and also wanted me to be comfortable with the payment amount and made sure that the bench seat and 12 inch touchscreen was included in the truck which was my must haves! He even came down on the price for me! The truck wasn't readily available upon purchase but Rob rushed the vehicle to the dealership the very next day! I called about it and he said he was getting it detailed and to come down and pick it up anytime! This guy went above and beyond for my family and I really appreciate it! Upon arriving at the dealership to pick up my truck, Rob and Landy met with me and they were genuinely as excited as I was! Landy even took pictures and went through all the trucks features with me!! Such a great feeling when making a major purchase!!! I will recommend this dealership and the sales team here to ANYONE looking for a new vehicle or any vehicle!!!!! I would strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere for service. I've had two recent experiences with this dealership's service department, and both were highly disappointing. Not only was their ability to diagnose and complete repairs inefficient, but I also found their pricing practices to be questionable and potentially misleading. I brought in my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee on two separate occasions. The first visit was due to a malfunctioning windshield wiper system. It took the service department six weeks to identify and resolve the issue. Throughout that time, I received no proactive communication. I consistently had to reach out to obtain updates on the status of my vehicle. Eventually, the service manager did contact me once the problem was diagnosed, apologized for the delay, and provided some cost relief, which I appreciated. Based on that interaction, I decided to return for a separate issue related to the air conditioning system. During the second visit, the service department performed a diagnostic and informed me that the evaporator needed to be replaced. The quote provided was $1,800 for the repair, involving a $132 part. With refrigerant and additional charges, the total cost came to $2,400. This estimate seemed excessive, especially for a relatively new vehicle. I sought a second opinion at a different service center, where they ran their own diagnostic. They found the evaporator to be in proper working condition and determined that the system simply needed a recharge. The total cost for this repair was $163, and the AC has been functioning perfectly since. Based on these experiences, I believe this dealership attempted to overcharge me for unnecessary work. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others exercise caution when considering their services. read more

UPDATE #3 on 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee bought 2 months ago: My oil drain plug has been WELDED to the oil pan. SOMEHOW the vehicle left the dealership this way. The vehicle supposedly had an oil change done during the 'safety inspection' There is also 1 mismatched completely bald tire... with a 4wd vehicle, this is not good. I took my car to a Dodge Dealership near me (Puyallup is about 2 hours away) so it wasn't some hole in the wall shady repair shop. I was dealing with Nathan. We talked at 10:00am on Monday.. he said he would call the other Dealership (Rairdon's in Marysville.. AMAZING customer service from Randy). Randy called me at about 12 pm to let me know no one has called and the part is in Portland (must order by 4pm to get it here next day) I wait until after Nathans 'lunch time' to call about 1pm. I called every 30 mins from 1pm-3:50pm.. NO call back, finally found out from Drew that Nathan had gone home for the day and he would get me to the manager Tyler involved... again voicemail and no call back for the entire day. I call next day at 7:30am FINALLY get a hold of Nathan.. only for him to tell me "no we need you to come to us' (NOTE: I have also tried to call Paul in Sales twice with no return back... so much for "call me ANY TIME I am here to help) I have now left ANOTHER voicemail for Tony the GM... nothing as of now (9:20am) This story is much longer; and I KNOW they know who I am at this point. I am a manager of a Service Department as well... I would NEVER treat a customer this way. ever. This is a new vehicle 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My husband and I bought a car from Larson of Puyallup at Christmas time. We surprised our daughter with a new car for Christmas. Our experience with the Larson Team was fantastic! Carl is who helped us find the perfect car for our daughter. He was very helpful, professional, knowledgeable... and always ran right outside to help us every time we came back to take another look. He always responded to our calls and he didn't pressure us into making any decisions what-so-ever. Carl was also very kind and funny. He made shopping for a new car fun. We enjoyed doing business with him and the Larson Team. We are very happy with our purchase and we were very pleased with the price that we purchased the car for. 4 months later, we are still very pleased with the car and even still, anytime we have a question, Carl and the Team are right there ready to help! I would highly recommend Larson Dodge Puyallup to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. They are far from the typical car salesmen; up in your face, obnoxious, over bearing and aggressive (which we experienced at 3 different places before coming to Larson). Purchasing a car from Larson of Puyallup was a very relaxed experience. They even let us borrow a big pretty red bow to put on our daughter's car Christmas morning! In August 2010, I went to Larson Dodge after a horrible experience at another dealership. Paul Straling and Charlie Hall greeted me immediately as I arrived as though I was an old friend. They had a zero pressure attitude and were only set to satisfy me with the car I wanted and a payment I was comfortable with. After I signed all of the papers, went home with the car, and thought all was said and done, Stephanie in the finance office called me to say that they had found a better rate for my loan and asked if I would like to return to sign some papers so my payment would be cheaper. WOW!! Who does that? I was totally impressed. Over this last weekend (June 2013), I returned as I was ready to upgrade to a 2014 Grand Cherokee. Again I was met by Charlie and quickly approached by Paul. Both appeared to remember me and were thrilled that I was returning for my next car. Both men worked super hard to find the specific car I wanted and a price I would agree to. Mike and Daniel were the finance officers who were amazing and friendly. Frequently you might experience a dealership that is all talk and no show. Friendly, big promises, nothing to back it up. OR you might have the big pressure and no building of rapport and relationship. These folks at Larson do it all....and they do it well. Larson really cares about their customer satisfaction. After seeing their reviews on google and the extra perks on some of their cars that you get when purchasing with them, I decided to go in to look at a specific car that I had seen online on a Saturday. Due to my circumstances and also going in there with a limit that I needed, I should have made a decision to not go there alone. I am more soft spoken and so I did feel a little like an easy target for the sale and because of how long I was there for and how late it was, I decided to sign on the car. They did work with me on payment quite a bit, considering a bankruptcy from 4 years prior. At the end of it all, it still wasn't what I was quite comfortable with and wasn't the best decision for me and my situation. I did decide to leave the car there overnight until the next morning because I wasn't doing a trade. After feeling sick about the commitment I was making and couldn't sleep, I went back the next day to talk with one of the managers. Luis was very understanding and so was Mike in finance. They were willing and able to take the car back, which was what I was wanting. They made sure my needs were understood and taken care of and that speaks volumes in customer satisfaction! They have definitely earned a customer for when I am fully ready and not pressured to pull the trigger on my next vehicle! Granted I will also not go alone next time. : ) read more

Larson Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Puyallup, WA operates a shady, and horrible customer service business, Before you venture into this dealership research their practices and best stay clear of the place. They are a dishonest bunch. They speak on both sides of their mouth during sales but avoid returning calls after. I bought a "used" car from them and before I realized it, they snicked in two charges, approx $1700, under Dealer Installed Options even after I had asked they remove everything which were not part of the negotiated price we agreed on. Their maneuver, is to keep you in the dealership for hours, up to midnight if required, until you are fed-up, and just want to get the hell out of there. I found the original window sticker few days later, which clearly states that what they are claiming as Dealer Installed Option, came as original Standard Equipment in the car. These charges, not agreed to earlier, were not supposed to have been added in the contract. Additionally, they included a Documentary Services Fee of $150 on top of an Administrative Fee of $151.25. Bear in mind, this is a 2018 used car. Should have been a pretty straight-forward deal. I have called multiple times to address this problem. It appears that the Finance Manager is making herself inaccessible and not interested in discussing. I will try my best to expose this kind of behavior to as many people as possible. read more

I normally am not a "review writing person" but I must give credit where credit is due. I purchased a used vehicle from Larson Dodge late January 2014 and was immediately greeted by a salesperson named Blair. He was very attentive to my needs and as professional as can be. He seemed very enthusiastic and matched me to a vehicle very quickly. They had to get the vehicle from another one of their locations and I thought I would have to sit and wait around for awhile but I was wrong, they had the vehicle there in minutes for me to look at. For a higher mileage used vehicle it was in such great shape. Blair took me for a test drive and answered every question I had without fail. He really knew his stuff. When we got back to the Dealership I was a little anxious because I was worried my poor credit would not get me the vehicle and I would have to settle for something less. I was also worried that making the purchase, I would be there all day. Wrong again. Before I could get a cup of that awesome coffee they have, I was approved and signing papers. I was shocked. Everyone that took care of me was great. I don't understand why I am reading any bad reviews on this place. I looked around and had seen happy people, both fellow customers and salespeople. WOW!! A friend of mine had a bad experience at another local dealership about 3 years ago that was turned around quickly by Larson just a few days to a week later. Charlie Hall and Paul Straling came to the rescue, no pressure, just pure fun. Now, almost 3 years later we both go in to buy jeeps, and what do you know we are met by Charlie and Paul. They remember us and are ready to help. I had been looking at a particular car online the night before and REALLY liked it, so they found it and we began the long process. After a while it seemed as if we were going to have to wait until the next day, it was a Sunday after all, to finish the deal. Lo and behold my friend and I had left, in HER new car, but had to go back about an hour or so later due to something that was forgotten and Charlie, who had heard we were coming, drove up in the car I was after. Next thing I knew we had made the deal and were getting ready to sign the papers. No more waiting. GREAT deal, GREAT rapport, and some great fun. Then to top it off, the finance person, Daniel Van Wagner, got an even better deal before we signed all the papers. While this might be "their jobs" they go out of their way to do it. I would say that my experience was not great but it wasn't terrible either. A good analogy or similar buying experience would be fast-food. You go in and you walk out. The only difference is that I wasn't buying a happy meal. It was a $80k vehicle. A little more excitement, tell me I'm making a great decision, lie to me and tell me I look better in it, ha, anything. No need to be non-genuine but find the excitement and grab on to it. The buying experience was gray and not very fun. I felt like I needed to sell myself the truck, which I most certainly did. The only reason I bought the truck I did was because I wanted the truck and the truck sold itself. I tried to wheel and deal, not much activity there either. No back and forth with the 'manager' routine. No we got a deal for you. Some basic sales attempts like "if I can get this number you'll commit today?" kind of techniques. My biggest gripe, it did not feel like an experience. Maybe that's what the sale industry wants. But, if the auto industry is going to rais the price of vehicles to a 1/3 the cost of a home I feel a buying experience is warranted. I don't plan to buy many new vehicles in my lifetime but I'll be focusing on the details. read more

Justin Smith is absolutely amazing! I showed up having an idea of what I was looking for and knew what I wanted to spend. Justin took the information on what I was looking for and came up with multiple options all in the price range I wanted to stay in. Not once during the entire process did I feel the "normal salesman pitch" he didn't just try to sell me, but instead he really took time to really learn about my needs, wants, and desires. Justin was so personable and really learned what I wanted in the vehicle and why things I wanted were important. We walked around awhile, went to the other locations, test drove a couple, which in the ends resulted in me being able to make a good choice on a vehicle I love. I got my vehicle about 4 months ago and I'm still so excited about my SUV and love driving it! Justin really cares about his job but more importantly Justin really shows how much he cares about people. Thanks again for all of your time Justin. Unsafe Vehicle and Unreliable Service - 2024 Jeep Wagoneer We purchased a new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer from Larson Jeep, and our experience has been extremely disappointing and concerning. Safety Concerns: * Engine shuts off unexpectedly while stationary. * Rearview camera wobbles and produces a shaky image after a safety recall. * Warning messages and screens blink or appear intermittently, hiding the speedometer. * Park brake sometimes fails to engage or disengage. * Transmission shifts rough with significant lag. * Vehicle exhibits vibration and instability during normal driving. Service Issues: * Multiple service visits, including a safety recall, did not resolve these problems. * Promised loaner vehicles were not provided. * Calls and follow-ups went unanswered. Sales and Finance Concerns: * High-pressure tactics and coercion into unnecessary add-ons and dealership financing. Summary: We no longer trust Larson Jeep for sales, finance, or service. These issues pose real safety risks, and we strongly advise caution when considering this dealership or this vehicle. read more

Ethan (I think that's his name) was extremely helpful from start to finish. Just moved to area from Lynnwood and wanted advance purchase multiple oil change package. Ethan recommended the 4 or 6 oil change package and explained everything included (I chose 6). I'm in customer service and he did this very efficiently while making it easy to follow with a person waiting in line. He allowed me to receive all needed information in adequate time to move on to next customer waiting. That's a great skill to have! Ethan also seemed very knowledgeable about Larson products/services which is another great thing. When vehicle was ready, he made it very easy to review completed service, instruct where to pay, and then show me where I was parked so didn't have to walk around looking for vehicle. It's the little things that make a difference and Ethan is an excellent representation for Larson! I had been going to Dwayne Lanes in Everett for multiple years before moving to Puyallup. Today I bought a 2020 Jeep Renegade and I couldn't be happier. Originally, I had plans to purchase a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. I absolutely feel in love with the Latitude, but unfortunately it was out of price range for me. Donnie could tell I was disappointed, but he immediately helped me explore other options with similar qualities. We also had the chance to work with Brent. We test drove the Renegade and I quickly started to love it. It fits my families needs and was better for the budget. Although, the price per month was still a bit startling at first! Fast forward a bit, we met with Kerry for final paperwork. Let me tell you, Kerry really made my day. I had the expectation of an above budget payment. He got me approved for a loan with 10% less interest and more than $100 less per month than I was expecting. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there, they answered all of my questions, and helped me find the best deal. I definitely feel comfortable and confident with my purchase today.
