Ok the worst dealership I have been to by far.went there with my wife to purchase a Jeep Cherokee. From the beginning I could tell the woman was trying to push a Jeep patriot on us even though we were clearly not interested. In order to make the process quicker my wife even sent all the information to the sales person the day before so they could get all of the financing started before we even got there. However once we got there we were still there for over two hours while the women gathered the information needed to try to get the financing for the Jeep Cherokee. After waiting (by the way the woman wasn't even there the whole time she left us in the waiting area)The woman came back and kept trying to push the patriot on us even though it was a manual transmission which my wife already told her she could not drive and had none of the options that she was asking for. After my wife kept telling her that she did not want the patriot and only was there for the Cherokee, she still was mentioning the manual transmission patriot that my wife cannot drive. My wife and I bought a used 2007 Aspen from Larson a little while ago. We live in Everett, and Larson is in Puyallup - 65 miles one way. They said that they had a 100+ service inspection on the car, and that it was thoroughly gone over by their service team. When we got it home, a couple of days later there was a gooey, smelly small puddle under the car. I had no idea what it was, and was concerned to even drive it. I took it to my local car service shop, and they said that the differential fluid had been overfilled. They had to drain some out. Another similar fluid was also overfilled. Charge: $110. I called Larson to explain, and asked them to pay it. After giving me much run around, they ended up refusing to pay it, and told me that they'd give me a few free oil changes. I told them that that does not help me because I live 65 miles away - and it was their fault that I incurred this charge. They still refused to pay it, implying their free oil changes with my 130 mile round trip was sufficient. Poor customer service. read more

As in the last review, we entered the dealership and had a great experience with our salesperson. She was very helpful and didn't try and switch our goal vehicle with something we didn't need. We negotiated the monthly payments to what we wanted and finally got back to financing. Now the nightmare began. The female in financing was initially very nice, but when I started asking questions she would avoid them and redirect with another product we didn't need or want. All said and done she was a good, smooth, sweet talker and soaked us for another $5000 we didn't need to finance. Now the big nightmare. We traded in a vehicle (that still had a balance on a loan) and they agreed to pay off. We also were give a pretty good interest rate. After 4 days after the sale and trade in the female finance person called back and said the bank wouldn't give us an interest rate quoted and signed on. Also the monthly payment would be a lot higher. We were told we needed to come back in and sign new paperwork. We said we already signed the paperwork with an agreed on payment with interest rate. She said she would have to look around and see if a bank would assume that rate. Or we could return the vehicle and stop the deal.....except one problem, they sold our trade in vehicle. After pushing the issue a couple days later they found a lender who would assume the loan and interest rate and payment agreed upon. Now the saga continues! This deal was made in the middle of July and we still have no bank financing the vehicle and the Dealership still has not paid off the loan on the vehicle they took on trade and have sold. We have been taken and will contact the Insurance Commission and Attorney General Monday Morning! Stay away from this dealership they are the kings of this common scam in the auto dealership world! read more

Ask for Oscar! I spent close to two months searching state wide for a Jeep Patriot, and several hours haggling over email and text with other dealers. Oscar got me the price I wanted, with al the bells and whistles, in about an hour. That's pretty fast at a dealership. THEN (since I'm Native Amer. & tax exempt) he made the 5 hour round trip to the reservation with me so that I could get the tribal tax break. He was nice the entire time, didn't play games, and put up with my hardcore haggling tactics. read more

Found a great deal on a truck but the sales dept was terrible. Got the run around for 5 hours while another salesman tried to sell the truck out from under me. I blame the manager not my salesman. They finally sent me home with no explanation and said well call you tomorrow the banks are closed. Something shady was goin on. I expect that kind of treatment from a crappy corner lot. What a great place to do business. It's been many years since I've purchased a new car so I was a initially at a loss of what to expect. I chose Larson Chrysler because I'd heard from friends about how well they were treated and serviced here. The advertising I'd seen in various places as well as on TV also had me interested. I figured if Russell Wilson endorses them they gotta be good, right? What I experienced all the way through finding the right car for me and the complete transaction was that I was treated with the utmost of respect and the sales staff paid sincere attention to my needs. I must also note that if this automotive dealership doesn't happen to have exactly what you want in their stock inventory, they will find it! I'm please that there are still businesses around who have my best interest in mind when shopping for a new vehicle. It's not just about making a sale with Larson's, it's about the final delivery and end-result. Five stars in my opinion without a doubt! read more

We bought a new T&C from here in mid June. We negotiated what we considered a good price. We knew the car had to be transferred from another dealer, and it was promised by Tuesday. As we were completing the paperwork, we were told our credit had been run which we specifically asked them not to do, "because they like to know who they are taking a check from". We were paying cash and not taking delivery that day and our check would have plenty of time to clear. Then we were asked to sign papers indicating we had not been promised anything else, when we specifically negotiated a tow pkg and spare. Fast forward to Tuesday - no car. Days went by. They did not have a car for us. We got a loaner. A week later they finally got a car for us with almost 1,000 miles on it. It had the spare, but no tow pkg when they delivered it and tried to have us again sign that we weren't promised anything else. They added in the tow pkg to the paperwork, but that we had to have it installed within 30 days or no deal. And then they said they "forgot" to order the tow pkg but would have it in in 3 weeks. We called and called before finally getting an appt to take the car in. It was promised that day by COB. No call. The next day we called again. Oops - they forgot to do the work but would get right on it. It did finally get done. The final straw was the plates. After 6 wks, our paper tags were expiring and still no plates. They told us expect 3 weeks for plates. We had to call 3 times before we got a call back. Oops - plates had been there for about 10 days but no one had bothered to call. All in all, we like the car, got a good price, but would never ever recommend this dealer or go back. It's a clown car! They have no idea what they are doing, and doing even that very poorly. Drive a little farther and buy elsewhere unless you have time to burn and want to go over there half a dozen times just to get your car. read more

Best car buying experience ever!!! Had just drove over from Tacoma Dodge with the worst experience I had experienced in my car buying days. They were so dishonest and unprofessional! Didn't even let us test drive the car we wanted! What crap is that!!! Anyways on to my review. Right away we were greeted by Paul Straling our sales guy. He immediately made us feel warm and welcome. We explained to him what we were looking for and what we needed. We had recently taken in 3 of my nieces in our care. Overnight we became parents to 3 girls! Along with our son we have a total of 4 kids. Now imagine how big of a life change that is lol. He really took his time to understand our situation and was not pushy at all. It felt like he was not even selling to us. Long story short Paul really went out of his way to get us into the car we wanted with the payments and terms AND SPACE we wanted! He really did make me and my wife feel valued. Eric in the finance department was even better! He really did get us the best financing package available. This is by far one of the worst car lots we have ever had to deal with. The sales rep was a nice guy and helpful, the financial department has been a joke however. We ended up spending hours there going through the trade in process and everything and once it was time for us to sign paper work it was late. The lady we dealt with ( Michelle) was sick so she wasn't wanting to spend much time with us and that was clear. She RUSHED through all the important paper work and said we "Needed" this extra service contract since we were purchasing and Audi and she had already put the extra cost into the loan total. We never gave her permission to do so. She said we could call the next day and they would be happy to go over it more in detail with us. Well this put THOUSANDS on out loan! We tried calling and couldn't get through nor get it explained. She also stated it would cover and extra key since we only had the one, well this was also NOT true. we have called the office over and over again and left many many message that usually go unreturned. Finally we got ahold of one lady who told me to fill out a cancelation form and email it back to her and she would fax it to corporate. Well surprise....still not taken care of!!! This had been going on for almost a Year now and its a total joke. They don't take their customers seriously and cant even manage a simple phone call back. We will never shop at a Larson lot or recommended them to any one! customer service is not a priority! We live almost 2 hours away and I was just informed today as I called over the same matter, that I need to just come in face to face to deal with the matter since no one will do their jobs correctly. Sad that I have to loose out on money and take time off work to go out of my way due to them being lazy at their job. read more

Bought a brand new vehicle without the greatest credit. They got me an interest rate better than i have ever received. I would rather have my teeth pulled than buy a car. They actually made this my best buying experience ever. I explained before I got there that I did not want any extras that they try to sell you when you sign papers.I was pleased to say they didnt. I never felt pressured to sign anything and did my homework before I went there. I will buy another car from them again. I will recommend them to other people. Don't always lay the blame on the dealership.before you buy a car know what you want, Know what it's worth, Know what your trade in is worth. and especially know what you are willing to pay. I recently bought a used 2018 Jeep from here and had the worst expierience. I knew exactally what I wanted and called ahead of time. I arrived at 6:00 pm and test drove the vehicle. We were gone for 15 minutes. When I returned and were going to make the deal they offered a very low amount for my trade in, so I decided I would sell it myself. I explained that I didn't need to finace the vehicle and that I already had made arrangements. At 8:00pm. John Black told us there was a person ahead of us and it would take 45 min at the least untill we could process the paperwork and told us to go and eat. We went to grab a bite to eat and 15 mins. after we arrived at the resturant I recieved a call thet they were ready for us. We then boxed up our food and left. When we returned they had put someone else ahead of us. We finally got called into the office at 10:00 p.m. and were finally done at 11:00 pm. I was there for 5 hours at the end of this he said thanks foe keeping me. I would never recomend going back ever. read more

This review is just in regards of how they low ball you on your trade in. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the 2 gentlemen I spoke to, Cameron, salesperson, and Tyler, sales manager, seem like nice guys. I had a trade in, which is in great shape and who both Tyler and Cameron said was a beautiful ride. I asked for what the AUCTION value for my car was for trade-in. i wasn't trying to be greedy, I just wanted what my car was worth wholesale. They had a nice SRT Durango thats been sitting on there lot for over 60 days I was interested in, so I thought we could make a deal. Understand, when customers try to trade in there car, they think the number they ask for is determined off of KBB or NADA trade in pricing. That's not true. Dealers are only going to pay you what the AUCTION value for a car similar to yours (year and mileage) sold for in the last 90 days. So essentially, they will only give you what the WHOLESALE value for your car is. The auction price is going to be significantly lower than what KBB or NADA tells you what your car is worth for trade-in. So when I told Larson Dodge what I wanted for trade in on my car, it was based off of AUCTION value. Well, I guess some dealers are just starting to pull numbers out of thin air of what they think your car is worth because they offered me $4000 less than what the auction value for my car was. When I inquired about why they are offering significantly less than what similar cars like mine sold for at auction, I was told the GM put the price on it. When I asked why it was lower than what auction value is, which is what dealers normally look at when valuing your trade, I wasn't given an answer that would support there value. The sales manager even saw that my car was worth pretty much what I asked for when he looked the auction value up. I just took it as they were being greedy and wanted to make $6000 or more profit off my car when they turn around and sold it. Not cool. Instead of making a fair amount of profit off my car, even if they gave me what I wanted which was auction value and selling me a car that's been sitting on there lot for more than 2 months, they appear to want to be greedy and essentially lost out on any profit. Not saying this is a bad dealership to buy a car from, but if your buying a used car from them, chances are they have some room to wiggle on there asking price if there low balling people on there trade like they try to do with me. Most customers do not have access to Auction Values, so they use KBB or NADA to give them a baseline. I am fortunate to have access to auction values, and that is what I thought was a fair trade in value, apparently some dealers are either now valuing trade in's as they see fit and/or are just being pure greedy on how much money they can make off your car. Seem like nice enough people, but just be aware if you have a trade in. read more

Worst experience ever! We have been loyal customers to Larson for years. We have bought over 30 cars from them over the years. We bought our 2nd Jeep from them. They messed up on the pay off and then made us make up the difference. We had to pay 25.00 more a month and put an extra 1000.00 down from what the original deal was. They were going to try and make us pay 8000.00 out of pocket but we refused since it was their fault and rather than go go to court we agreed to pay the extra and 1000.00. They messed up we had to pay and they tried to make it our fault because we didn't understand that's what the numbers were we signing. When you do a car deal they don't show you this is the pay off and exact #s they tell you this is what's due down and what the payments will be. Be warned don't trust them to be responsible they won't be. Major incompetence!!!! If you screw up take responsibility and apologize! You lost us forever! STAY AWAY! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! They do not return emails or phone calls, and getting ahold of someone other then a salesman on the phone is impossible. I bought a vehicle from them two and a half years ago and it was recently totaled. I found out that they had been charging me for a service contract that was suppose to have been cancelled TWO YEARS ago when the contract company sent the dealership the paperwork, after speaking with the service contract company back in November they said that the dealership never sent over the paperwork to cancel my contract, so I was still being charged. Had my vehicle not been totaled, Larson dodge would have charged me $3800 without cancelling it like they were suppose to TWO YEARS ago, scamming me out of that money without ever saying a word to me about it. The service contract company sent new paperwork back in December for the dealership to fill out and Ron Almario (the finance manager) said that he had sent the paperwork for the policy cancellation again, this is now early December of 2018. And he told me that it would take 4 weeks to hear back from whoever it was that he needed to send his paperwork to before he could send it to the contract company. It is now the last day of January, and almost 8 weeks later and he has ignored emails that I've sent, and phone calls. After finally getting a call back it was nothing but more excuses and lies with no answers. Now conveniently "he is out of the office for the next few days" and "he will have someone look into it. " Well the people that he put me in contact with will not return my voicemails, I'm assuming that Larson Dodge is hoping that if they hide and don't return calls or emails I will just give up, but that is not going to happen. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible! Unless you like being scammed, lied to, and ignored after you walk out of their store and they have your money. If I could leave a negative star rating I would but unfortunately that isn't an option. read more

Bait and switch practiced here. Negotiated a mutually acceptable price on a 2015 Durango. After they got my SSN and other personal info for the credit check, they suddenly "couldn't get approval from the sales manager" and needed to increase the price. Well, who were you getting approval from in the back office while I waited for the response to my offers and counter offers? I wasted 2+ hours there. Related my story to a group of friends after golf and they had all already heard how sleazy Larson is. Guess I had to learn the hard way. Avoid Larson Dodge in Puyallup like the plague! read more

This is the worst experience i have EVER had buying a used car! The car we purchased had the carpet pushed up into the side wall and within days of owning this car the carpet on the driver's side floor board fell apart. i tried calling our salesman (Tom Fisher) back 9 different times and got no return phone call. He finally answered the sales phone one day and i hit him up about it only to have him tell me "he's not responsible for what happens to the car after we leave the lot" and they "sell the cars as is!" The car was not "as is" they hid the fact that it was falling apart, something you wouldn't have known from just a 15 min test drive and are willing to do nothing about it. Furthermore i had my own financing and the finance dept (Michelle) gave my bank less than 4 hours to respond to an email asking for a cashiers check and never identified herself in the email. They told me they were setting up a "plan B" for financing incase my "plan A" fell thru. They never intended on letting me finance thru my own bank and pushed me into their loan. Just a horrible experience with shady people only out to put the almighty $$ in their own pocket and could give two shits about the customer! STAY AWAY if you value your money!!!!!!!! read more

I actually bought my Grand Cherokee from another dealership. I brought it into Larson Dodge for recall work because they were closer to home. All was good. Then I needed some warranty work done. When I called to make the appt I let them know the back lift gate hydrolics were failing, which was obvious (lift gate would not stay up). Because I needed a Saturday appt I had to wait several weeks, which I totally understood. When I went in for the appt, you have to check in at one station then have to wait to talk to the service specialist that has been assigned to your account (don't remember doing this the couple of other times I had been there). Once I was able to talk to the service specialist, she asked about the issue and if the problem had been assessed. It would have been nice if someone had communicated this with me when I made the appt, because I waited around for about an hour only to be told the part would need to be ordered and they would contact me when it came in. After waiting for over 3 weeks for someone to call me back, I'm the one that ended up calling to see if they had gotten the part. I was told they had the part and that the service specialist assigned to my account would need to call me back to make an appt (she was unavailable at that time). After a couple of days, my husband called to talk to the service manager because I still had not received a call back. An appt was made to fix this issue and a sunroof issue. Again had to check in at one counter to then wait for the specialist. The work itself appeared to be done fine. About a month and half after this, started having issues with the sunroof again, plus another recall needed to be done. Called to make an appt, explained the problems only to be told someone would need to call me back. Over two weeks later, still no return phone call. Called the dealership where I bought the car, told there person on the phone the issues, they were able to make an appt right then and there and had me in within a few days. No having to wait to speak to a specific person or waiting for someone to call me back. Because of the lousy customer service with the service dept, I would certainly not buy a vehicle from them. This is my third Jeep, I love the vehicles and will probably buy another one when I'm ready, but not from this dealership. read more

This was the 2nd time to Larson in Puyallups service department for the same issue. The first time a few months ago there was no way to communicate with the department on the status of our car, the name of our rep would not answer or return calls. And consequently I had to drive down there to talk to him. He was very condescending about our issue,, water pouring down on the driver. He basically told me the water just pools and has to drain.. Yea,, but not inside on teh driver of the car... Water/leaks are limited to one tech and only on Weds. Our Jeep decided to do the same thing and this time we had our car in the shop for nearly a month. Yes they gave us a loaner,, but the service department works with teams and if the team leader is out, nohting gets done , and entire team has the same days off. The team it appears cannot work without the team leader and if you speak to anyone else in the service department they appear to be deaf and mute.... After 3 weeks they finally decided they couldn't fix the problem and sent the car to a specialist and then had to order a whole new skylight etc and replace it Miraculously that took about 8 days to do.... We had excuses like team leader has the flu, the team has these two days off,, the service department doesn't work sat/sun... and honestly its no better with a simple oil change. last time it took me over 3 hours , on a wed afternoon about 2 pm.. the women waiting with me found out that they totally forgot her car after 4 plus hours of waiting and shoving popcorn down her son to keep him calm.... When my daughter recently bought her used car , we had to get some financing paperwork done and after waiting for a couple hours found out they opted to take the cash buyer first.... a customer is a customer.. Shoddy shoddy dealership ..... and a horribly run service department. Do your research,, ask around... There are plenty of RAm/Dodge Jeep dealerships out there.......... skip this one. read more

This place was a nightmare. I went in there knowing exactly what I wanted and left with two men chasing me out of the parking lot. I got countless phone calls and they still could not make the deal work. I ended up with a much better experience somewhere else. Larson called me AGAIN on the last day of the month and when I told him I bought a vehicle somewhere else, they told me they match prices and sounded very irritated on the phone. Be extremely careful if you plan to purchase a vehicle from these folks. They simply just do not care about what you have to say. Overall the experience was "okay" and that is the best word that I can think of. When we sat down to speak with the salesman regarding the price, we specifically told him that we have been pre-approved by our bank and will go with our bank for the loan no matter what. After we told him what price we were thinking about for the vehicle, he got up and went to speak with his boss. When he came back, he presented us with their price and the interest rate that they were willing to give us if we took out a loan with them. So they ran our credit history even though we had specifically asked them not to and the salesman promised me that he would not. So they basically lied to our faces and it was usual business for them. Anyway, we bought the car with the loan from our bank and there were a couple of other issues as well with their accounting department and it took about ten days for us to actually pick up the vehicle. Turns out the mistake I made was when I filled out my personal info, I did NOT have to write down my social security number but I did. I did because I am an honest person and the salesman had told me that he would not run our credit history so I believed him. read more

We had an amazing experience, yet again, with Larson Automotive in Puyallup. We purchased a beautiful car 2 years ago from Cheryl Russo, and the service was OUTSTANDING! With 3 growing kids, we'd outgrown our sedan, and needed to stretch out into something with 3rd row seating. Cheryl had been promoted since we saw her last (very well deserved - you go girl!) and hooked us up with her brother Gary, who is now working for Larson. What a character! He was AWESOME!!! So down to earth, and hilarious! We were dealing with some negative equity on our trade in, but between Doug in finance, Cheryl and Gary...they worked their magic and got us just what we needed. And brand new!! The sweet gal that went over all of the specs of the vehicle was super knowledgeable. I didn't catch her name - I think I was still in shock from buying a new rig! She was awesome! My wife and I purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee from here 2 weeks ago. We came to the dealership only after having a terrible experience with their competitors in Tacoma. The buying experience was a comfortable as it could be as we all know there's just a thing about buying a car that's shall we say....a bit stressful. The haggling was kept to a minimum and even though they couldn't match their competitor's price as indicated, they came close enough. We felt that the extra money spent (really not too much in car-buying terms) was worth it when compared to the general experience, dealership atmosphere, and sales person attitude/trustworthiness. We paid cash for our vehicle which their competitor didn't really like because they wouldn't get the loan origination fee but these folks didn't seem to mind either way and if they did, they didn't make us feel like it. The showroom is pleasant, clean and not "zoo-like" like the place we had just left. Overall, we got a fair price, dealt with some pleasant people and feel as though they really wanted to earn our trust and our business. Thank you Brandon. read more

I have purchased over 20 cars both new and used during my lifetime and the vehicle that I purchased from Larson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Puyallup, a 2011 Subaru WRX turned out to be the worst mistake that I have made yet. I gave them a 1 star and would have considered giving a 2 star rating had they contacted me regarding my request for a refund or directions on how to proceed to receive a refund of my extended warranty for the body and windshield. See the series of events that took place below: I purchased the WRX and did not drive it for a few weeks until we got the vehicle insured. Shortly after the check engine light would come on and go off. I reported the issue to their service department and I was told that they could not do anything unless the light was on to read the code. I took their word for it, but have since found out that the code is stored in memory and they could have read it from there. Of course once the 30 days passed, I was told that I could bring it to a Subaru dealer as I had also purchased an extended warranty. I had some problems when I tried to get the repairs approved. When I called I was referred to someone that sounded irritated and said you have the number on the warranty paperwork. He didn't ask if there was anything he could do or have me explain the situation. Just the attitude that it was no longer their concern and he gave me the number. Of course after paying the $200 deductible they repaired what was showing and the worn belt that they noticed. The car has been to Subaru three times and the problem is not fixed. I was also told that the brakes pads were at the minimum wear left and that is another $300 + in repairs. Note, that if the same problem arises after 30 days you will have to pay the $200 deductible again because the warranty panel evaluates each submission and as far as they are concerned it is a separate issue. While I understand that when you purchase a used vehicle with an "As is" posted that you run the risk of ending up with the problems that I am now encountering. I just didn't expect them to happen so quickly. I tried calling to speak to a specific person, but was told on three different occasions that they were not in that day. I contacted two different staff members at Larson through email next and one of them replied with a general comment, but when I disclosed my displeasure with the whole purchase and the costs that I have incurred, I have not been contacted. Finally, I decided to ask for a refund for one of the warranties purchased to help offset my expenses. I did not receive a reply. I said I would like one positive outcome from my dealings with Larson, but I couldn't get that either. That would have raised my rating to a 2 star. I contacted the Warranty department directly and was able to bypass going through Larson. I am still waiting for my refund. The refund is prorated based upon the time that has expired from the purchase date. So a word of advice, don't wait for the car company to make an effort to rectify this. They have an out and that is the "As Is" listing. This has been a big learning experience for me, I guess no matter how much a company advertises how highly rated or who endorses them, it's up to you to protect yourself. Get an accurate printed service and operating condition of the vehicle. I guess some people are satisfied with a one-time purchase. I would have tried to make all my customers happy regardless of whether it was a used car or not to try and get repeat customers. At least with a new car you are somewhat protected by the Lemon Law if you have issues pertaining to the same problem. I can honestly say, that I would never purchase another vehicle from Larson either used or new and would recommend anyone that I know looking for a car either new or used, to look elsewhere for their vehicle needs. Always keep in mind that it isn't how friendly a company is up front, they are trying to make a sale, it's when you have problems and how quickly they handle them that determines what is important to them. That should be you as the customer. My son recently was rear ended lightly by someone thinking the light had changed. Even though there was minor punctures to the rear bumper we brought it into a body shop for an estimate. When he removed the bumper we were told that the car had had previous damage. When we bought the car we were given a clean CarFax. From my understanding, if a person gets into an accident and pays out of pocket and does not go through an insurance company that there would not be a record. This is the letter that I sent to Larson's Automotive customer service regarding the unethical treatment that I received while dealing with them. This is how they treat their loyal, favored customers. After a seven year relationship with them this is what I got in return. What upset me the most, is the letter that I received from their customer service department stating that they would do the utmost to service my future needs. Their letter, along with the customer reviews on their website are just words on a paper and not even worth the paper they are written on. I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but you have to put something down in order to post. I don't know where they get their customer reviews from, because I went to their website and could not find a way to post anything. To whom it may concern, January 17, 2013 I recently was involved in a transaction for a possible purchase of a vehicle on December 13th, 2012 at Larson Dodge in Puyallup, this would have been my 3rd Dodge pickup truck purchased since 2006. I have had all of the service and maintenance on these trucks done at the Puyallup location. These trucks are used in my construction business. I have kept my business with Puyallup Dodge since 2006 to establish a business relationship and demonstrate customer loyalty. During these trying economic times you need people you can count on to help you get through, I believe that Puyallup Dodge is one of them. I've had problems with the service department at times, yet despite this I have continued to bring my truck there to demonstrate my commitment to Puyallup Dodge. I have a problem now in regards to my recent truck purchase, but have been unable to resolve it and hope that you can help. When my wife and I were negotiating, it seems there was a misunderstanding on our part. I asked the finance manager if we could wait until the next day to finalize things and he said that he would set things up with Stephanie for the following day. We wanted to get the okay from our lawyer regarding this purchase because we are working on mortgage negotiations with him regarding our home. When I finally spoke to our lawyer on December 15th , he advised us to not purchase the truck as it could hamper our mortgage negotiations. My wife and I thought that the deal had not been finalized yet because I had not gone back in to sign the final paperwork, and we were also told that the deal was not done until I brought in personal references, which they never got. They also mentioned that we had the right of recission. It turns out that we were mislead regarding this matter and told that we cannot return the truck. My meeting with the general manager regarding the return of the truck, on December 15th, was a very discouraging and humiliating experience. It felt as if he thought that I was fabricating some type of story in order to return the truck. I have been with Puyallup Larson Dodge these past six years through good times and bad. My 2008 Dodge 3500 has been into the service department several times for recall repairs. Three separate attorneys have contacted me regarding a class action lawsuit regarding my 3500 turbo diesel. There have been maintenance items at the different mileage intervals that did not get done when having my truck serviced. However, I have never strayed from Puyallup Dodge in order to demonstrate my loyalty and build a relationship. I believe that I have demonstrated to Puyallup Dodge that I am a valued customer, but I don't feel valued. I bought my Dodge Ram 1500 there about a year ago. Landy Jolley was my sales person that day and was very patient and took the time to explain the necessary things to us about the truck. We spent a long time looking at other vehicles and comparing prices, weighing the pros & cons. She did a great job and made us feel like we were making the right choice. I have my service done there and she always makes it a point to say hello if she's there at work. I haven't had a single bad experience there yet either with the sales people or the service department so I have only good things to say. The Service Department sucks and is extreme unorganized. My check engine light went off at almost exactly 20000 miles on my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500. Called the Service Department to see if they had any ideas. Was told to bring it in right away. When I got there, they weren't sure they wanted to work on it. After I told them I bought it there and I could leave it for a couple days, they decided to work on it. Service Department called the next day to say it was ready but wanted to change air filter and fuel filter. I said they could go ahead. MISTAKE. Should've got price first. $235 later. I got my truck back and drove it home to only have the check engine light go off again. Beginning to doubt they did any work but only took my money. I left the lot in my new 2016 Jeep on the verge of tears. This is not the experience I expected for my first brand new vehicle purchase. I started the process online when I saw a deal that I just couldn't find elsewhere. I called the dealership and spoke with a gentleman who had Jennifer get back to me with an out-the-door cash price (no tax since I am an Oregon resident). Being as I live 5 hours away, I asked Jennifer to hold the car for me. They are unable to do so, but she said that she would do her best to make sure that the vehicle would be there when I arrived the next day. Upon my arrival, Jennifer was the first person I had contact with. She was extremely nice, bubbly, and seemed excited for me in my new vehicle purchase (I have nothing negative to say about Jennifer). The time to fill out paperwork seemed to drag on much longer than necessary and then I was told that we had to go to their dealership down the road to do the "Finance" part of the purchase, so we headed down the road. A couple hours, and some very expensive Jeep accessories later, I was finally taken to Lisa's office to complete the sale. She almost immediately said that they would add sales tax because my bank is in Washington (I live in Oregon very close to the state line. I work, bank and have my cell phone through Washington companies, but I have never been required to pay sales tax). I was very upset by this. I had a cashier's check for the amount they had quoted me and plenty of paperwork supporting the fact that I am an Oregon resident. At first she said that she was trying to make sure I was covered because they didn't HAVE to add sales tax to any sale, but if they didn't and (for some unknown reason) I should pay it, then I would have to deal with it in the future. She then left the office for about 20 minutes. When she came back I asked her to just make sure the dealership was covered and I would take care of things if they came back on me (which they wouldn't). She then changed her story to say that they HAVE to add sales tax because of my bank, place of employment, etc. but that I could petition Washington State to get the taxes back. So, I went ahead and paid the taxes just to get out of there since it was now going on 4 hours at the dealership, it was 9pm, and I still had a 5 hour drive ahead of me. They refused to lower the tax included price to the price I had in writing from Jennifer from an email the day before and informed me that there had been a "mistake" on the listed price to begin with. My personal opinion: When I arrived they realized they had made a mistake on the price so they did everything they could to discourage me from buying the vehicle. I knew I was getting a really good deal so I didn't walk away. Had the price not been so good, I would have left after the first couple hours of waiting. 4.5 hours after arriving at Larson's, I drove away in my 2016 Jeep Patriot feeling like I wanted to cry. The entire process was WAY too long and Lisa was EXTREMELY rude. Last week I requested they fill out their portion of the form I have to submit to get the taxes back (the form that they told me about), and I have had no response from them whatsoever! I am submitting the alternative form stating that I tried to get them to sign it, but they refused. Just had my first and last visit here. I visited the service department to get diagnostics done on my car and was met with HORRIBLE customer service. I was told that it would take an hour to an hour and a half to get the diagnostics done and it ended up being 3 hours and 45 minutes. I thought at the 2 hour mark that someone would come to tell me just how much longer it would take and why exactly it was taking so long but no one came. When someone finally came to tell me what came of the diagnostics they gave me $2000 of recommended items that should be fixed (which really, none needed to be done besides the $125 to fix the problem that was causing my engine light to come on). I went and paid for the diagnostics at the 2 hour and 45 minute mark of being there and was told that I still could not leave because the technicians decided to take lunch and did not take the time to put my car back together even though they had been done with the diagnostics. I then proceeded to wait another hour for the technicians to get back from lunch and finish putting my car back together, when I was told that would only take about twenty minutes. On top of that when they did get done the service rep FORGOT to come give me my keys back and happened to walk by while seeming very surprised that I was still waiting. To top all of that off I had had an appointment to get the diagnostics done. Even if they were busy they should have had the time SCHEDULED to work on my car in a timely manner. When they realized they couldn't someone should have come to TELL me that it would take longer. They should have apologized for the 2.5 hour EXTRA wait time and for FORGETTING about me waiting. In addition, no customer should have to deal with such ATROCIOUS customer service, let alone an OBVIOUSLY PREGNANT and due to pop very soon customer. Needless to say I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE to get the required work done. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want the worst customer service and have hours upon hours of time to waste due to their complete INCOMPETENCE. read more

Don't waste your time or even bother to call the service department. It doesn't even exist any longer. If you try to call, you get sent to a customer service call center and they take a message for the service department. Will the service department call you back? Not just "No" but "Never". It is horribly understaffed and has been for months. It is the worst experience that our company continues to have over and over again. Our company purchased six jeeps from the Larson Automotive Group and we will never again in the future ever do so again. Maybe they should quit putting all of their resources into sponsoring Russell Wilson and start hiring service advisor's that can pick up the telephone and give you a status update on your vehicle that has been in their shop for a week. I have spoken with Beth the customer service manager for months and nothing continues to be done. Now they are saying they are hiring a new service manager and it will all be fixed soon. They are also saying they are hiring people to fill the open service advisor positions but on their "job opportunities" web page, there isn't even a listing for that position as I explained to customer service and they were speechless. I just want to know when will my Jeep be ready. And by they way, NEVER PURCHASE A JEEP WITH A 3.6 LITRE ENGINE, THEY ARE CRAP AND THE DEALER KNOWS IT! THEY FREELY SWITCHED OUR 3 YEAR 36,000 MILE WARRANTY TO 10 YEARS 100,000 MILES BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT ENGINE IS INHERENTLY FLAWED!!!! Our original salesman Joe seemed nice at first, but once we started negotiating price, he became very hostile. We were about to walk out when Tyler stepped in. Drove 2 hours to Larson's in Puyallup to purchase a new jeep wrangler. We met with the sales person Justin who showed us a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with several packages that included LED lights, power locks and windows, hard top, etc. When we went to discuss pricing and what I was looking for in a jeep, Justin stated that they did not have a vehicle like that on the lot but they could give us a good deal for the vehicle that was on the lot with the upgrades so we wouldn't have to spend transfer fee's finding the vehicle I requested. After spending several hours negotiating we finally agreed on a price of $32,500 before taxes and licensing fee's. While waiting my dad was looking at purchasing a Hellcat SRT so we went outside to look at the cars and noticed that the Jeep I was purchasing was outside even though I was told an hour ago it was in the garage being detailed. Justin then explained that the Jeep he was selling to us had been out on a test drive since we arrived several hours ago. This Jeep did not include the powergroup or LED lighting. The difference in cost was approx $2000. Justin apologized and also made the comment that it was against their policy and illegal to not get the keys to the vehicle while looking to purchase so it wouldn't be removed from the property. They were not willing to honor the price we had settled on for the jeep we discussed purchasing and instead they tried to sell us a vehicle that was not on the lot and was possibly being purchased by another customer. The vehicle they were trying to sell us was negotiated at $30,500 earlier that day. Unfortunately even after purchasing several other vehicles from Larson's in Puyallup a few years ago they can no longer be considered a trustworthy or accountable business to work with. read more
