We bought our very last dodge ever back in 2017. Brand new 2017 dodge big horn ram. It's the 4th dodge we've owned. This summer had issues with the turbo. Larson replied we don't cover that under the warranty so we had it fixed at another place which was 5G's out of pocket. Now the engine started knocking had it towed to Larson because it is still under warranty but the said they can't honor it cause we didn't have the oil changes there with records.OMG they will do or say anything to make sure they don't have to pay for any repairs under warranty!! So now the truck isn't even 5yrs old and we are paying 26G's because of a factory defective injector that exploded in the engine!!! They don't let ya know these are common. But yet they won't fix it. I felt pressured and rushed to buy. The next day, less than 20 hours after buying my jeep went back because I didn't feel good about the purchase and they were rude, condescending, no one seemed to know anything. Each person I spoke to referred me to a different person. I finally gave up waiting to speak to the right person and they were going to close soon. Their phone system is terrible and outdated, impossible to speak to a human, when you do, they transfer you and disconnects. I think they just hired some random people off the street with no qualifications whatsoever. I paid full asking price for my vehicle and didn't find out until after I purchased the vehicle that it only came with 1 key and wouldn't help me to get a 2nd & the navigation system was not working because it didn't have the SIM card and refused to get me one so I had to pay over $200 to get one. You would think when you pay close to $40,000 they would be happy to help you but not in this case. I will never recommend this business. read more

We bought a used vehicle and noticed that it was driving weird so we dropped it off at the service department. After the first week someone finally contacted us to tell us it was simply brake pads and rotors and they would do it for us. Even though we were told during the test drive that all used vehicles get an oil change and new brake pads. Which if that is true the service department was willingly putting a vehicle with unsafe rotors out onto the roads. It has now been over 3 weeks and we've finally gotten a call back. I tried to reach out to general manager of this dealership and understand why they would do such thing to their customers. Maybe there's a good reason why, but I never got the chance. I called everyday for a week, at multiple times during the day, left a message, yet he never got back to me. I understand that he might be busy, but it just appears that I got dropped to the bottom of the priority list as soon as the sale was made. I know my salesman did. I bought a 2016 Hyundai Tucson on the last week of December 2017. It's used, but still pretty new. I did my research and narrowed it down to Larson Dodge. I considered a lot of factors, but I thought Larson was a reputable brand. I didn't want to have a bad experience or buy a vehicle in terrible shape, but it's exactly what I got. Before I bought a car I noticed there's a ding in the windshield. Small, but noticeable. My salesman said it's an easy fix, don't worry about it, they'll fix it for me. We negotiated and I ended up signing the paper and came back to that ding. Now he's not willing to fix it. He said, "Justin, it will cost us money and we just don't have the resources to fix it." I drove back home with this new car but when I'm on the freeway, I noticed a squeaking sound coming from the rear, like something was loose. I only hear it on the freeway though so I didn't really hear it when I was test driving it. I also started to hear a high-pitched sound when I hit the brakes. So I called the salesman for those issues and he kept telling me that he'd call me back, but I always had to chase after him. I sensed that I was wasting his time. But I was persistent and eventually got an appointment. When I got to the dealer, he saw me, shook my hand, and then handed me to someone else to be taken care of. The other salesman who took care of me rolled her eyes - not to me but to my salesman like why can't he do it himself. But she did took care of me and I got to talk to the mechanic. The rear door was missing a screw that's why it's making a squeaking sound in the freeway. "I would be annoyed too if my new car is making that sound", he said. A week ago, I brought this car to Larson Hyundai for maintenance check. This is how I really found out I was screwed over. The alignment was bad so the tires were worn out and needed replacing. The break pad was new, but they used a cheap after-market part hence the high-pitched sound when I hit the breaks. Air conditioning filter and engine filter were old and needed replacing. Drive belts also needed replacing. The front breaklights were busted. And those are just the ones that needed immediate attention. As you can imagine, the bill was significant. I was frustrated because I bought a 2016 car a few months ago and now I'm dealing with this. I bought it with these maintenance issues because there's no way I could've done that. I serve in the army, I go to field training for weeks at a time. I also just came back from three weeks of leave out of state and I didn't drive my car. And when I use it, I use it normally and with care. The people at Larson Hyundai understood my frustration. They couldn't speak for another dealer's, but they gave me the contact information of the general manager at Larson Dodge. The service assistant manager at Larson Hyundai also gave me his contact number to give to Larson Dodge if they have any questions. But like I said, they proved to be evasive. So what do I take from this experience? Larson Dodge doesn't do maintenance checks for used vehicles that they sell, or if they do, they do not care to fix it or inform the customers as long as they make the sale. So you've found yourself at a car dealership buying a car again. you absolutely know they'll make a ton of money off you and your new car, trade in, and extended warranties. Everyone gets to make money... it's the american way. I recently bought a used car from Cole who was pleasant, no nonsense and straightforward to deal with. I especially appreciated i didn't need to sit down for hours bargaining with the mythical sales manager - we did our deal 100% via text. whether i would have saved a few bucks by being there in person? who knows? they had the car i wanted and i feel i got a fair deal, however i was getting a little put off by the completely finality of the negotiating process. I got NOTHING negotiated off the price, not even a few hundred bucks. not even a "thanks for your interest, if you buy today we'll give you a coupon for a big mac." NOTHING. really odd in buying many, many cars. I literally had money in my pocket ready to go. The F&I lady, Stephanie was extremely pleasant and made me feel like i was the shrewdest man in the world as i forked over thousands of dollars into the pocket of Mr Larson. Would i buy from them again? maybe... downsides for me are really the location - they're an hour away. upside is they have a ton of vehicles and i loved email and text communication. I give Larson Dodge a single star for one reason only. When you purchase a new vehicle, they force you to pay an additional $400 for a flashing third brake light called "Brake Plus." It's already been installed by them and is a non-negotiable add-on they force you to purchase. This "safety" system is not required by DOT and does nothing for your insurance. It is literally a part that can be bought on the internet for $10 and installed in minutes. It's also incredibly irritating to drive behind someone with these devices because each time they tap their brake you get a rapid and distracting FLASH FLASH FLASH of their third brake light. I purposely avoid shopping at Larson just because this practice seems a bit shady. Kind of the modern day version of up-selling you "fabric protection" or undercoating back in the 80's. I get that it's an easy way for them to score a $390 profit on each car they sell but smells bad in my book. Other than that, the dealership is a bit above average, always run into friendly sales staff. Free popcorn as I recall and a very clean, nice, HUGE indoor showroom and waiting area. Worked with Alee (a very junior level sales rep, if that) on 2 different Wrangler models over the last 2 weeks. We had numbers finalized and all I had to do was come into the dealership (text to prove it)...My credit score was provided and the finance team knew exactly where I stood as far as APR. When I arrived at the dealership he was completely unprepared, unprofessional and incompetent. I provided all details necessary for my trade in and any financial information needed to make a "deal happen" prior to arriving. His exact words and you'll hear them a lot are, "it's penciled in we got it." After 1 hour of him in the back room (not exaggerating at all) he came back with numbers that were not even in the same ball park including all the financial numbers I provided previously. I'm still shocked at how unprofessional this experience was. I will never do business with any Larson dealership and highly recommend anyone else to run in another direction. After purchasing a new Jeep, they attempted to get me to return and give them more $$ towards my down payment WITH A SIGNED CONTRACT AND APPROVED FINANCING. They LIED (Richard in Financing) and said the bank was refusing to fund my loan. This was 12 days AFTER I purchased the new Jeep and my trade was already paid off. I refused, knowing I have a valid, signed contract. Miraculously, I received a call from the bank congratulating me on my vehicle purchase and there was absolutely no funding problem. Wy wife and I went into Larson Dodge to purchase a 2022 Tesla Model Y and we had no idea how bad of an experience awaited us. Initially it was going well but after we sat there for hours waiting on them to come up with a value for our 2015 Tesla model S and running our credit thru several banks and credit unions we were shocked when they came back and said they finally got an approval from some bank that we had never heard of or dealt with in the past. They told us that our debt to income ratio was way to high and they would not come up at all on our trade or lower the selling price on there car at all. The interest rate was 10-11% with an extremely high payment which did not sit well with us at all. I asked the to make sure they had input all the information correctly on our app and they assured us that they had. We ended up walking out with no deal made. I called my credit union on the following Monday and asked them to look into the CUDL application and they were shocked to see that Larson Dodge had input our mortgage twice which put our numbers so far out of wack. I called Larson Dodge to discuss this with them and never did receive a call back from our sales associate. I finally called again and talked to the manager and he said that he wanted to make it up to us but unfortunately the vehicle we wanted had sold already. I initiated a loan from my credit union yesterday to purchase a vehicle from a different dealership and everything went smoothly which how it has always gone for us in the past. Im very disappointed with Larson Dodge and there carelessness when it comes to inputing customer information. This whole situation put a bad taste in our mouth and we will never be purchasing a vehicle from Larson Dodge or any other Larson dealership going forward. This review is a two parter. From a sales perspective, I would give Tom and Tyler a 10. I bought a 2018 Dodge Ram Rebel. Unfortunately, I immediately began experiencing malfunction notices on the display screen as well as a roof leak. We took the truck back and Were able to swap it out with another truck of the same caliber given the significant issues after just a few days. This was a seven day process and I had to get a new loan for financing, but was at least happy with keeping the same model. Tom and Tyler provided amazing service to support the transition of the vehicle and went above and beyond what the state requires. For that I am thankful. I would say the main reason for the two stars is related to the bureaucratic part of the dealership. The truck I swapped out had everything but navigation, so I requested the cost be added to the loan. They obliged and added this into the loan and I made an appointment to have it added. Upon dropping my truck off at the dealership for the installation, I received a call from the service department who then informed me they were unable to install the navigation and they made multiple attempts with no success. I was told that this was because I have CarPlay installed and this feature prevents navigation from being compatible. I would have been satisfied with this information if the previous truck I had didn't have both CarPlay and Navigation. This seemed to indicate their technicians weren't equipped with the skills or potentially resources needed to make this happen. Because they couldn't install the navigation, I was told I would receive a check for the $800+ that I was charged for on my loan and would receive a refund check in the next 2-3 weeks. It has been almost four weeks and I have not received a check, but had to go in and pickup my tags so I thought I could follow up while in the dealership. After speaking with the staff, I was told they had to re-request the check and would now expedite the check, which I would receive in 2-3 weeks (putting me at around 7 weeks for a refund). Now after about 5 minutes after leaving the dealership I received a call from one of the sales managers informing me that the check will be ready in one week, but they will not be able to pay it to me and it will go directly to Navy Federal (where I financed the vehicle). I am not one to typically complain but will say that although I received excellent service from Tom, Tyler and Kayla, the internal processes and organizational hiccups of the dealership really left a bad taste in my mouth with the amount of misinformation and back and forth required to service my truck. I would highly recommend an internal review of processes with finance and the overall training of teams as there was a clear disconnect in what team members commit to and what was actually executed along with the timing of execution. Really hope that this doesn't reflect Tyler, Tom and Kayla's scores as they were very helpful in getting through this entire process. For that I thank them and give them a 10 out of 10. I work in business development and understand that sales can only do so much, but it's really the gears and processes internally that can really carry the service delivery through. read more

Out Of State, Business, Cash Buyers beware! My situation is a little unique, but not unheard of. I was an out of state buyer (Oregon) doing a cash purchase of a used pickup for our business. The dealership was very hard to work, in particular the finance department with satisfaction our funds were good. We drove the 3 hours, signed paperwork, wrote a check and then went home.(December 19,2022). The funds were taken out of my account in full on December 20, and cleared to Larson Motor groups account on 12/21/2022. We then contacted the dealership to arrange to come get the pickup the following week and the dealership said no. We had to wait 10 business days, which turned into 16 days . Needless to say this went on and on. We were finally given the go ahead to come get our pickup, but they wanted a screen shot of our business bank account showing the check cleared. After almost 16 days of waiting to take possession of a pickup we already paid for, I said no screen shot, talk to your finance department. I went into this deal with a certain level of trust for a dealership I have never worked with. I would expect the same level of trust in return. Even with proof of our Oregon Business license, Federal Tax ID, Personal letter with our bank verifying funds, they still did not trust us as a buyer. If it wasn't for this exact pickup I needed and put a significant amount of time searching for, would have walked away. We have no reason to do business with Larson Motor Group in the future, but would choose not to if the opportunity every presented itself. I have purchased countless vehicles, tractors, combines with cash and have never had an issue over the past 30 years. I have entered into cash purchases in upwards of $400,000 with businesses. In state, out of state, hasn't mattered. But a $63,000 used pickup cash purchase seemed to give this inexperienced dealership's finance department an incredibly hard time. I had to give one Star so I could write the review, otherwise zero stars given. If you're considering buying from this dealership I would seriously reconsider. We bought a truck from them and the extended warranty for $3,500, 50 miles, not 50k but 50 miles past the warrant the truck has a serious mechanical issue. The dealership would not honor the warranty or even split the difference. We paid full cost for the repairs. While in the repair shop they kept the truck over a week their sense of urgency and communication with us was nonexistent. We called numerous times to get the status on the truck repairs and were told they would call us back, no call back. We constantly had to call them only to be told they'd call us back, which never happened. We finally drove to the dealership figuring it was ready since it was several days after the promised day, truck still not ready no communication. Really poor dealership to deal with. read more

I have not purchased a vehicle at Larson but I had my oil change with them and despite the long wait (1.5 to 2 hours) I was entertained by browsing the jeep selection and asking questions as my boyfriend and I are jeep freaks. What I loved about waiting was the free espresso, which was pretty good and the popcorn. The seats in the waiting area had little movable desks on them so you can work on stuff while you wait. Also, free wi-fi! There was only one express lube agent there and that's why it was a few minute wait in line while the agent finished up with the previous customer's service. In the end, I got a little discount ($5) off my bill due to the wait, which was nice :) My jeep had it's oil changed, washed and the front vaccumed. I went in to make a deal on a vehicle was at first very impressed with the dealership until the high pressure sales started going back and forth with finance guy. I was looking at a truck 9 years older then the one I was trading in and no budge in price of their truck, and they were trying to put me in a higher truck payment with no warranty on a truck where I have a decent truck payment and a full extended warranty when it got towards the end of the sale and I decided to walk away I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I can't say that I will ever go back to this dealership and sadly they've kindly turn me off to the Dodge brand looks to me like it's a Chevrolet or Ford choice for me. I can't say that I would recommend this dealership anymore either it is not my fault you didn't make a sale for the day and to take your crabbiness out on me was not a fair thing to do you should probably work on your customer service skills with your sales staff. There are way too many other car dealerships in the area to worry about the egos of one dealership. It's an unfortunate situation as I've owned a Dodge before and bought it from Larson buuutttt never again. He also waited with us before the finance process, making the wait "in line" more bearable. At the end, he was there to wrap things up and familiarize us with the new vehicle. We communicated our needs ahead of time with this team and drove 40 plus miles to test drive the vehicle we wanted. Rather than hearing our needs and being transparent about pricing, this team played games by passing us off to another salesperson and then tried to finance us with them despite the fact that we brought in a pre-qualified letter from our bank. Also, the salesperson called us twice after we left frustrated and then sent us a very menacing text. Finally, the salesperson continued to send us emails thanking us for stopping in on a specific day when we hadn't been there in several days. This place lacks integrity and transparency. Purchased a 2016 Chevy Malibu from them in 2017. Turns out my car leaks water in the passenger seating area in the back seats, just months after purchase. Then one month later my gas pedal electronics goes out (they had to move the car to Chevy as they could not fix it) I was sold an extended warranty for the car it had 40k miles on it as the OEM warranty would Expire @ 60k. 20k miles later the check Engine light and service Stabilitrak lights come on, take the car to Chevy and they say I need new pistons and rings provided that there is no scoring in the Engine block=4800.00 to repair, if scoring is found=New Engine. The dealers Extended Warranty company is a joke and will never do business with Larson again. Now I've had to call GM headquarters for help as I have a 17k piece of crap needing major repairs! Thank you Larson for the worthless Extended warranty you sold me. If. I can't get help I have no choice but to default on the loan. At which point I will drive it back to Larson and leave it for their finance company. You should consider only selling ur own used OEM vehicles! read more

Worst car services department from Larson Jeep In Puyallup. We bought a brand new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland edition and bought all the extras, a purchase of over $60K on 4 July 2019. We noticed immediately that the radio and XM presets would reset every time the vehicle was turned off. Didn't think it would be that big of a deal to fix it so we brought it in to the service department. 5 visits later still not fixed. We purchased a brand new vehicle so that we wouldn't have to deal with any issues for at least a little while. The first time we went in the lady told us we were lucky that our radio even worked at all. This was infuriating because how are we lucky? We paid for a brand new vehicle with ALL working parts. So no I wasn't lucky I was disappointed. Then with the same visit we left it all day thinking they were correcting this issue. We live 45 minutes each way to the dealership. So when it came close to their closing time we contacted them inquiring about our vehicle. No response from the dealership. So we headed that way. When we arrived we were told they didn't have a chance to look at the vehicle. Wasted our time and our whole day. Second visit was the not any better. They looked at it and said they were ordering a new radio unit. Then received another call a few days later to bring the car back in for a third visit to get the information necessary to order the radio that they told us they had already ordered. When we brought it in they said the issue was now the key fob not being synced. Something that should've been done before we ever drove off the lot. So we left this time fingers crossed. Next morning same problem with the addition of the seat memory now adjusting on its own. Fourth visit we bring it and tell them nothing has worked and we would like a new radio put in. They transferred us to another service advisor in the same shop who asked if they could troubleshoot one more time with software updates but we would have to bring it back a fifth time. Fifth visit software updates done still same problems. Upon calling them an hour later to inform them there was no change they didn't answer and still have not returned our call. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. You think the fact that it's a brand new car would've promoted them to be a little more assertive with correcting the problem. Bought a 2019 Jeep Compass last night from Larson Dodge and was helped by Cameron. He was super helpful and I don't have any complaints about him. We had to go from the lot at 2001 N Meridian to their other lot on River Road to make the deal. Got to that lot around 7 PM and started the negotiation process. Typical back and forth, no complaints there. Once we agreed on a price and finance options it took well over an hour for us to get back to actually start signing papers. I've purchased multiple cars over my lifetime and I have never had to wait that long to get the paperwork process started. Once we got called back it seemed cordial enough. It started out light hearted and there was a pleasant banter back and forth between me, my wife and Stephanie (the finance person). Once we got to the portion of up selling an extended warranty and we declined it the whole mood and demeanor changed. Say in silence for almost two minutes with not a word spoken. One of the most uncomfortable feelings you can have:..especially when you're buying a vehicle from them and spending over $25k you would think they would make you feel like they appreciated your business. Instead I felt like I was no longer a valued customer just because I didn't want to add another $2k onto my loan because I had a strict budget I wanted to stay at. Whole process lasted about 4 hours. If you're looking to buy a vehicle and want to be treated with respect and feel like your time is valued I would suggest to stay away from here. I'm less than 24 hours into the 72 hour guarantee and I'm seriously thinking about taking my vehicle back and mixing the whole deal over it. I love the vehicle but I am getting more and more frustrated with the whole ordeal. If my business isn't appreciated I can take it elsewhere. Also, we were told we would be getting a call from the finance lady and it still hasn't happened. ***UPDATE*** The "owner" responded to this review and called me Jessica. My name has never not will it ever be Jessica so I'm kind of assuming the response was a copy and paste and the person forgot to change the name. Also, they asked me to reach out to the service manager via email. I did...no response. I texted the salesman who completed the deal the night of April 23rd....no response. PROTIP: You can find this place on Truecar app, that way you can look through their inventory and get a good price even before you go through the door. I had a great car buying experience here. We got into an accident and had to get a new car for our family. Carmen was the person assigned to help us through their internet sales department. All I could say was we were treated with empathy and honesty as we went through the car buying process. The whole process lasted a total of around 2 hours as we navigated the price negotiations and financing, the whole time Carmen was with us every step of the way. Once we were done with the purchase, because it was late into the night (around 9pm), Carmen even offer to hand deliver the car to our house! We literally came to buy the car, and the salesman had us coming to all 3 locations to avoid selling us the 4xe rubicon because he told us to go see Kenny, their robotic email sales man and who went to look for and wasn't even working that day because he doesn't exist. And by the time we went back to original location, they hid the car. And the original salesman never came back to help us, and he sent another guy. And they pretended like they had no idea where the car is. And kept saying they sent it to the other location. Mind you I went back to the other locations to check for it, and they all told us they didn't have the car and they were all in the main dealership who apparently bring business by hiding cars from customers. read more

I originally came here believing I wanted a Rubicon. Robert K. And Thomas F. Spent 9 hours with me patiently going over all questions I had between the Rubicon and Mojave models. At the end I drove off the lot with the Mojave but wasn't sure if I had made the right choice. After spending two days researching and a thousand miles later. I realized that Robert and Thomas had helped me made the best decision for what I enjoyed doing. I truly appreciate the patience and professionalism from Rob and Tom. We purchased a truck on 2/28/2022. The agreed on purchase price and the amount on the purchase agreement are different by $2,802 to the dealer favor. We did not catch at the time. The sales manager, sales person and GM are not returning calls to solve this issue. We have left multiple messages and sent emails. Stay away or they will take advantage of you like they did to us. read more
