Cash is not welcome here and is printed on the menu at the bottom. Every dollar I have says, "Good for all bills both public and private." These people add 15% gratuity onto not just the food but also the tax on the food AUTOMATICALLY. This is in spite of the menu stating that gratuity (unspecified percentage) is added to parties of SIX or more. I had to argue with the waiter and then the manager to get it taken off of my bill. Our lunch was $42, and they added $7+ for tip. The manager countered that the policy changed before the new menu could be printed. I reminded her that the menu is the basis of my order and is all that I am willing to pay. My mind was made up to start a charge back as soon as I got home if she hadn't followed the menu and removed the gratuity billing. Also, the food wasn't that good. My wife and I shared the half chicken, which was overcooked and dry. The portions were so small that we were still hungry when we left and went for a walk at the mall and got some more food. We came on an early Saturday afternoon and we sat at the bar. Our bartender was nice and friendly and she made me a delicious pisco sour. We get the lomo and rotisserie chicken and they were both very good. The serving size was perfect and yuca fries were delicious. The sauce they had for the chicken and fries was also very tasty. I've had the: Lamb empanadas Elotes Yucca Fried Rotisserie and Fried Chicken Fried Rice The perfect meal is the fried chicken, yucca fries, and elotes. The lamb empanadas consisted of a ground lamb/beef combination lowkey heavy on grease. The second time, not so great. The first time it was shredded, although the man told me it wasn't. Elotes is the street corn consisting of everything good. Pure perfection. The Yucca fries are golden on the outside soft on the inside, always hot. The sauce is like spicy cream, goodness that I could dip anything in. Fried chicken. Muah. The BEST. Fried rice is insignificant, skip over it. Parking on the side of the restaurant, no charge. Simply good food My son and I thought we were going to a Mexican spot and in ended up being one of the best experiences. After we discovered it wasn't Mexican food, our lovely waitress invited us to stay and try something new and I'm glad we did. Really nice spot! Their ceviche offering is bomb. I've never been to place that offer specifically Ecuadorian ceviche. It was so good - I ordered it twice! Las Brasas was my first dip into the Peruvian food scene. Really wanted a Lomo Saltado and they have a great one. Perfectly cooked steak, over fries, tomatoes, and onions. Although with a side of rice and soy sauce it was a great combination of ingredients. Since Las Brasas was off the made strip of Decatur parking was not an issue as they have a sizable parking lot. My boyfriend and I love this place. Any time I ask him what he wants for dinner, 9/10 times, he says ceviche. Las Brasas is our favorite Peruvian restaurant in Atlanta. The ceviche is perfect. The calamari is delicious. The mariscos saltado is equally as yummy with rice or linguine. The hongo saltado is tasty. Everything we've had from here has been wonderful, including the service. Ok so first things first, I gotta get it out of the way. I am not a local but I was visiting so this was my first impression. This place blew me away. Service: Amazing. Its flavor has so many layers. From the salt level being spot on, the spices adding a nice complexity, and getting the umami just right made it one of the best meals I've had. And the crunch! It's not the fanciest place, the vibe is real casual, but the food is legit. I mean you walk in and literally see the chicken roasting. I love chaufa and $22 seems steep but the portion is huge. If you want fried chicken that is perfectly prepared, come here'l! It has a nice spice, and breading that's not too thick and overwhelming. It comes out piping hot too because their fried chick is to order. We also enjoyed the appetizer of lamb with papa rellena that is crunchy outside! This place is touted as authentic Peruvian food, which I think can be hard to find sometimes, so I was excited to see what it was all about. I wanted an authentic experience so I tried the hongo saltado - it's basically a stir fry of mushroom + other veggies and fries in a salty, slightly tangy sauce, served with either rice or linguine pasta on the side. (I don't eat meat, or else would have tried the famous lomo saltado.) It was pretty good, but it was very salty (true to its name, I suppose). Salt was the overpowering flavor of the entire dish, and I didn't particularly enjoy that - I don't think I would get it again. My friend (who has lived in Peru) ordered a pisco sour (an authentic Peruvian drink) and enjoyed that. Other things ordered were the chaufa (fried rice) and the solterito salad, and everyone seemed to enjoy those. For dessert we tried the lucuma cheesecake and chocolate cake - the chocolate cake was nothing to write home about, and the cheesecake was rich, except that it came with strawberry, not lucuma. Overall, the food is solid, and I think generally stands up to its claim of authentic Peruvian food (excepting the dessert). read more

Parking is available behind the restaurant and there's a spot right in front if you are just grabbing food to go. Staff is courteous and food is fresh and flavorful. Well, the fried chicken was the best choice here. It tasted great and was surprisingly light to me. Almost like you can eat a bunch of it and think you could eat more because it tastes so good. And you know you should stop eating it but you can't help it type of tastes good. So if you go here, get the fried chicken. I also had the Chaufa Lomo. Great side item to share with others with the chicken. Give that a shot as well. This place is just a little far for me, but if I'm in the area, I'll go here. This is my second time going to the restaurant. The first time they didn't have the corn and they didn't have fried chicken. I was deeply disappointed but we still ate there and had the best Peruvian house fried rice so this time we attempted to return and have the corn and the fried chicken and they had both and it did not disappoint. It was so good and flavorful. Now their service leaves a little bit to be desired but we exercised our patients because we know these are difficult times for serving staff and restaurants but if I had to say anything was less than desirable it was the service which means everything else was on point. This was my first time hearing about or visiting this Peruvian restaurant in Decatur. Environment/Decor: When you first walk in you are basically greeted by the kitchen and an ordering counter?, but then you veer off to the right and the dining room space is open and bright, with vibrant colors and a welcoming bar to the left side of the room. Food/Drink: (We were really hungry so don't judge!) Ordered 2 of the Pollo a la Brasa Half Chicken Combo (one w/ House Yucca Fries and the other w/ the Papa a la Huancaina) and the Chaufa Pollo. They had specialty cocktails that day so we ordered the HABA Straw-tini, Dragonfire-tini, Very Berry Strawberry Mojito, and the Strawberry Old Fashioned. The Polo a la Brassa was delicious, but it came out cold so I had to send it back to get reheated (which they did with no fuss). The Yucca Fries were really crispy and great and the Papa a la Huancaina tasted somewhat like a potato salad. All the cocktails were tasty and I like that they incorporated fresh ingredients like fruits, mint, and ginger. Service: Rob the bartender was stellar!
