    The Million Dollar view

A truly magical place in a truly amazing location.....Oceanfront in Laguna Beach...So Cal at it's finest... Las Brisas checks all the marks, Million Dollar View, Delicious Food, and Impeccable Service....plus very fair prices... My latest visit the other day was for my future daughter-in-law's birthday.... Easy to make reservations... Ample parking in front of the restaurant (pay parking, $3.50 an hour) or go for their Valet parking....either was "Eazy Peasy".. Our server, Ivan, was simply "the best", as were the rest of the staff....perfect timing, no hovering, and excellent hospitality.....The staff here is 5-Star all the way... The food was delicious! The Ensalada Cobb salad w/chicken was incredible, Chicken Flautas equally delicious as was the chicken tacos....Perfecto! As for attire, casual is fine, dressy is fine, whoever you are, you'll be treated the same, like a VIP....no judgement here for shorts and flip-flops... Las Brisas is truly a treasured jewel on one of California's most acclaimed beaches.... Highly Recommend! Go, see for yourself, you'll thank me.... Las Brisas, never change.....

Visited here for the first time on Labor Day and it was so pleasant! My boyfriend placed a reservation and requested a window seat for sunset which they thankfully were able to accommodate! We arrived right at our reservation time and were sat promptly. We ordered - - strawberry margarita (SO yummy) - Zero proof marg (bf said it was very good. And he's pretty picky about his non-alcoholic drinks) - seafood risotto (very tasty and Shrimp were so big and juicy) - surf/turf enchilada (unique and really good!) We also ordered the cornbread as an app and it was in the oven and didn't make it before our meal. They were so kind and apologetic and gave us a dessert of our choice on the house. We tried the Flan and it was a perfect end to the meal. Luis was our server and he was top tier! My only suggestion is to maybe make the valet situation a bit more clear. We couldn't find any parking near by (Labor Day/sunset/massive swell) so we decided to valet. But after pulling in we didn't see any attendants so we parked ourselves. Right after parking the gentlemen came over to give us a valet tag. Thankful there was the option though for valet on busy holidays like this!

First timer! Here for a wedding dinner. Absolutely beautiful restaurant and location. Was very impressed by the service. Every single person we came in contact with was friendly and attentive - even those who weren't serving our table. I really enjoyed their guacamole and Scottish salmon dish, and our friends raved about their cookies and milk. Would love to dine here again and try other items off their menu.

Such a beautiful spot in Laguna Beach! The ocean view is absolutely stunning, especially if you can get a window seat. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels special, and the food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive too. It's a perfect place for brunch, a birthday lunch, or just catching up with friends by the ocean. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach!

July 29, 2026 It's the view, stupid! This expansive restaurant views are amazing, the food Meh. We tried to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather but even with a reservation we were told we had to sit indoors. We started with guacamole and the bean dip it was served with a tiny plate of. not enough chips and four bowls of sauce two red two green we needed to consolidate them to make room on the table, see pic. We did ask for more chips and received them. Both the bean dip and guac were decent. For our main courses we had the Baja Cioppino, the steamed clams and the shrimp tampiquenos, all ok but a bit under seasoned. I had asked the waiter for additional toast for my Cioppino as the broth can be the best part and he quickly brought it ($4). It's been said "the better the view the worse the food." I think that's true

The good: one of the best views in Laguna Beach; waitress was incredibly sweet and quick with the drinks; drink prices were pretty good. The bad: only one - seating. The hostess would not allow us outside seating because we were just having drinks. Even after seeing so many empty tables, it wasn't until we spoke to a manager that we were permitted outside at a bar area, and even she seemed disgruntled. We were there a total of 20 minutes. There were 3+ wait staff working the patio. Many tables remained empty even as we left. Disappointing experience.

Can you say bottomless mimosas AND Bloody Marys?! SOLD! And yes, obviously I had to try both... it would've been irresponsible not to! We stumbled upon Las Brisas while visiting the art museum next door, and it was a TOTAL SCORE! The ocean views are beautiful, the atmosphere is perfect for brunch, and the food was delicious. They offer a set brunch menu, but there are plenty of great options, and everything we tried tasted amazing! Definitely worth the money. You'll leave feeling good, full, and very happy with your decision!

What a great experience to eat at the place as always. It's been awhile since I've been back but it was delicious. Great view of the ocean while I enjoyed my breakfast. Staff and service was tip top. Relaxing and enjoying atmosphere. Yelpers, if you're in Laguna Beach. This is a spot to try. Come early. You may get the place to your self... Thank you La Brisa! I will be back again for sure....

I had the pleasure of dining here twice on a weekend trip from Vegas so that should tell you all you need to know. You had a beautiful table on Friday overlooking the water and it was so pitch perfect. My girlfriends and I shared a charcuterie platter, which was larger than life. So yummy and very excited with the meat and cheese selections. Their fig compote pairs well with the cheeses they selected. Service was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for girlfriend's wine date. The second day was Sunday and a large group of about 24 of us were there for brunch. They seated us on two tables side-by-side, which was wonderful since we weren't expecting to be accommodated like that. All of our dishes were delicious. I chose the wahoo which unexpectedly was slightly seared and I was all about it. I wasn't expecting a sushi dish, but was really happy with my choice. Other friends had eggs Benedict and everything looks so yummy. Big portions too !! Yay for that .

Las Brisas is a classic in Laguna. The view is spectacular, and we've always found the service to be very attentive. We took two adult grandchildren there before the Pageant of the Masters, and we all enjoyed it, as we were always have in the past. It is pricey for dinner, but then it's Laguna. One challenge is parking. They do have valet parking, but it can be difficult to find anything else that isn't a bit of a walk. For a great view and a great relaxing and enjoyable experience, it's a solid choice.

    Chicken and waffles. Truly terrible.

0.5 stars This is going to be lengthy. We love eating good food and fun dinning experiences. This was not it. You know how sometimes you walk into a place and immediately know it's going to be bad? Labor Day at 11am. Not busy. Let them know it was my birthday in the reservation. Not acknowledged by hostess or waitstaff. Seated next to a tourist family who let their kid bang repeatedly on the glass. Not the restaurants fault, but we're already batting 0-3. No one came by the table for 10 minutes after we'd been seated. Waiter filled up my gals water, didn't bother to fill mine, then walked away after pushing the drink menu into my silverware. Weird. The food: Chips + beans. 3.5/5 stars... neither salsas were spicy, but a couple hours later I feel like I have an ulcer. Chicken + waffles. 0/5 stars. We both took a bite of the chicken and promptly removed it from our mouths. It was atrocious. I ate the waffle because I was starving. Lobster enchiladas - 3/5. We've both had way better for less. Waiter never asked how we were doing. On the way out, the two hostesses who hardly acknowledged us walking in did not say thank you or bye. I've always avoided Las Brisas because I thought it was a tourist trap and I was right! If you didn't grow up with a view of main beach, maybe dine there once for the ambiance. Maybe. I'm sorry you have to look at the chicken now, but here it is.

    Introductory cocktails.

We were here to celebrate our anniversary and couldn't have picked a better spot. The food was superior. We started with the tuna tostadas which was very good. My wife found it a tad too spicy. We had the crab taquitos which were very different and quite delicious. We went with the seafood risotto very good. The service provided by Nora, was top notch. Finally the view and overall location sitting on the Pacific in Laguna Beach is unparalleled.

Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews?? We loved it! The food was good and let alone the spectacular view overlooking the ocean in Laguna Beach!

Ask the Community - Las Brisas

Do they offer gluten free and dairy free options?

    Yes

Do they have high chairs for babies/toddlers?

    Yes they do.

What arrangements are there for handicap/disabled parking?

Valet but you need to get there early for it because it will fill up. Or you can look for street public parking.

What is available for kids at the weekend brunch? There's only one "weekend brunch" menu listed on the website and it's for a four course prix fixe menu. Nothing listed for kids.

Check out the website. The info you need is there.

Do you guys serve brunch on Friday's?

    No, only Sat and Sun.

Are the rice & beans vegan? Also the sorbet trio?

You can cook beans with lard, which would make it not vegan.

    Is there a corkage fee?

$25 per standard size bottle and maximum of two

Is it possible to have drinks and appetizers on the patio still? We were told we had to have a dinner reservation in order to sit on the patio. Seemed very strange.

You can if they are not too busy- you can also make a reservation and request to be seated on the patio.

I have a reservation tomorrow 6/29 at 5 pm for a party of 8 under Agnes Sugino on OpenTable. I called earlier but there's no one answering the phone. I'm requesting a table outside for our party of 8 if that's possible?

Possible but I wouldn't count on it. I reserved a table with a view 2 weeks beforehand and got the worse view ever and service was terrible! Oh, and their front desk was bad too. I called to ask about valet and they were no help at all. Good luck…

    How is the parking there?

Valet parking is the way to go. It's tuff to find parking unless you go early.

Which food options are available on the kid menu?

    Fish and chips, chicken tenders

Will they utilize heat lamps during lunch if it is cold and customer requests?

Do they have mothers day brunch?

    Yes, check out website

Where's the best table? May I reserve this table?

An opinion about the best table is, by nature, subjective. The best table for me may not be best for you. Having said this, I went by myself for lunch and asked to be seated outside. I was led to a circular, counter-style seat with a view of…

Does Las brisas offer gluten free/celiac friendly items on the menu?

    Yes they do!

    Is there a dress code?

No. Come as you are dresses.

Yelp says you are dog friendly. Can I bring my well behaved , leashed senior pug with me? Thank you, Howard!

Ambiance plays a big role (in my opinion) to a restaurant and not getting to be seated inside or at least on a patio docked some points off for me. For a special occasion dinner, I don't want to be sitting in a parking lot tent. For the price point, I didn't really feel the restaurant quality (plating, service, ambiance) really reaches those expectations. I can tell their food is great, I think I wish I chose something different when ordering. I couldn't tell you exactly what we ordered since I think they launched a new menu just this week but I'll describe it the best I can. Espresso Martini -5/5 Great espresso martini! No notes. Burrata with pesto - 4/5 Light and refreshing appetizer. This wasn't my first choice for appetizer but my partner loves burrata so we got it. It would be really hard to mess this up so I have no notes. $20+ for one tomato was pretty shocking, though. Tagliolini with shrimp and mushrooms - 2/5 To be fair, I've never had tagliolini before so I don't have a reference point of how it should be and maybe it's just not my style. The pasta was thin and flat and very very soft. There was absolutely no bite to it whatsoever and felt like it might be over cooked (again, I'm not expert so maybe this is how it should be). Because of the texture and size it kind of was just one big soft clump on the plate. The shrimp and mushrooms were nice and I enjoyed the sauce but I really didn't like the pasta on this one. And I know plating have any affect of the food but this one seemed really sloppily thrown together and I was pretty sad when it was put on the table. Definitely wasn't pretty or exciting to look at. Pappardelle made w/ beets in quail ragu - 4/5 We really enjoyed this pasta! The pasta itself had a subtle sweetness to it from the beets which made it much more interesting than your typical pasta dough. It had a nice chew, which is what I was really missing in the other dish. The quail ragu was yummy, although we did find a bone but it was large enough to easily pick out and put to the side. Panna Cotta - 4.5/5 Thick and rich vanilla panna cotta with a tart berry compote. Very delicious!

We wrapped up the night with desserts--Tiramisù, Profiteroles, Gelati e Sorbetti plus cappuccinos, which was the perfect way to end a long dinner. Shoutout to the servers they were incredibly patient, attentive, and helpful, especially considering we were a larger group. Everything ran smoothly, and we never felt rushed. Between the food, atmosphere, and service, it was an ideal spot for a holiday group dinner. Cozy, elevated, and absolutely worth a return visit.

Absolutely loved my experience at Starfish Laguna Beach! I came in for a dinner and honestly had…read morethe best little night treating myself. I ordered the crab wontons, potstickers, sushi, and finished with the chocolate chip bread pudding -- everything was delicious and beautifully done. The crab wontons were especially addictive! I paired everything with a lychee martini, which was refreshing and dangerously good, and an Old Fashioned that was perfectly made. The vibe was EVERYTHING. The music was the perfect mix of melodic EDM with just the right amount of bass -- upbeat, sexy, and atmospheric without being overwhelming. It completely elevated the experience and made sitting there enjoying dinner and cocktails by myself feel like a whole vibe. My server Eddie took such great care of me! He was so warm, attentive, personable, and made me feel completely comfortable dining solo. The service and the teamwork displayed among all the staff was polished without feeling stuffy, and the atmosphere had that perfect Laguna Beach combination of upscale, sexy, and relaxed. And do NOT skip the chocolate chip bread pudding. Such a perfect ending to an already amazing dinner. Delicious food, gorgeous cocktails, amazing music, great energy, and exceptional service. Starfish officially made my foodie list. I'll absolutely be back!

The view of the beach from the rooftop is gorgeous!!!! I came to celebrate my bday here with my friends, it honestly makes a great spot to celebrate any occasion. Also! parking, there is a hotel near by that shares parking with the restaurant. I believe it's called 14 West but give Q Terrace a call to confirm.

When we entered the entire bottom floor was empty. Waited a bit and a gentlemen showed up and lead us to the roof top. Beautiful little roof top and place overall. Really clean and chic looking! We waited to be seated for, quite a while. That was the thing. To be seated and have someone take our order, it was a very long amount of time. Awkward standing there while others on the rooftop were sitting, talking and eating. I kept making accidental eye contact to the patrons. When we were seated, it took even longer for someone to come by and get our orders. One of my party members were so frustrated, he stated that we should leave in 4 minutes if no one shows up. Luckily for us, someone did. The girl that served us was a sweetheart. Once she was around she got the ball rolling, made sure that our waters were filled. Let us know when certain dishes were already gone. She was great! No complaints. We got dumplings, bolognese, shrimp scampi and I believe the fried chicken dish. The food was good. I got three large dumplings, and paired with the sour cream. Devine. The bolognese pasta was also wonderfully al dente. Everyone liked their food. You know it's good when everyone doesn't speak. I am conflicted. The servers are nice, the food is really good, but the wait times are atrociously long. It could be because we were one of the last people around closing time, it could be they were understaffed. But it was odd to have a majority of the work staff mostly ignore us. I want to come back here again and try their stuffed cabbage dish, but it will have to be on a day I have nothing but free time.
