What's with all the haters posting bad reviews here??!?! Made me want to chime in with the truth about this place. This is THE BEST Mexican food in San Diego County. We drive over from Vista every few weeks for lunch. The pretty lady that serves us is a sweetheart and knows our family. We are regulars and bring all our out of town visiting friends here to enjoy the food too. They are always blown away. My best friend who lives in the South plans a meal here every time she visits. Yes, its that good. I usually get the carnitas plate but the chicken quesadilla is also excellent. Good Horchata too. Great prices, fresh food, cool atmosphere and awesome service. I came to this place to eat for lunch a couple of times while I was working in brook town. The first time I came here I had a carne asada burrito, pretty good carne asada. The meat was pretty tender and the meat was flavorful, although the burrito was rather small for the price I had to pay. The second time I came here I had two carne asada and an al pastor (adobada) taco, the tacos were pretty good, both the asada and the adobada, but again they were too expensive...at close to $3 per taco, and I didn't even get full. All in all this place was slightly above average Mexican food, but the price was rather steep. If I was in the area I might come back, but it's nothing to go out of your way for. read more

Authentic and delicious Mexican food. I got the rolled tacos and they come with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sour cream (I opted for no guac). My coworker got a bean and cheese burrito, which sounds very basic, but they made it taste delicious! Bean and cheese burritos are her favorite and she said this place is now her favorite. This was Everything I needed tonight. I'm a 2-4x's a week taco guy. It's been 3 days since my last taco. Based on previous reviews, we wisely ordered the taquitos plate for a starter. I also had bomb fish taco, a crispy delicious carnitas taco and a very tender carne asada taco. The salsa bar offered 6 choices. I tried and enjoyed the green, brown, and red salsas. Spicy and full of endorphins! In the area for vacation, and I'm plotting on getting back for breakfast before we move on. I would have given 5 stars, but they were out of lengua. read more

WOW Just moved to town went in for a quick bite and was quite impressed. Had the fish tacos very tasty. The battered fish was crispy and hot the cabbage was fresh and the dressing had some real bit. I also found the salsa bar a step above the norm. I will be back. read more

Always in search of excellent tacos and Las Brisas meets this criteria. In fact, some of the best authentic tacos I have had! Double shells, large amount of meat per taco, and even comes with guac. They also have a salsa bar with several options. All amazing. I've brought several friends here and they all are blown away. Truly a special place if you're a huge taco fan. Best in San Diego county. On to the comida...Let's start with all the salsas. The variety that's available, even during the pandemic: nice, & of course, all homemade, as spicy as you want them, all outstanding. Next, the menu offerings: plenty of variety as well. Do yourself a favor, try to show up for breakfast. The chorizo is great, huevos, etc. Coffee is mmehh, but hey, you are here for the food, right? Next meal(s)? How do you like your tacos? Soft? Crispy? Either way, fabulous. The chicken is *not* overcooked, it's tender. And, wow, their **carnitas.** Well seasoned, not too salty, a little crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Love the verde sauce, but the red sauce is so good too. All depends what you like. But hey, you'll be back. A word about the guacamole: It depends what time of year you go. In late spring, Haas avos are available so the guac will be very creamy tasting. If the avos are out of season (say in the fall), don't expect guac to be top notch (not their fault). And, do have a beer. It really tastes great with this food. Stay awhile. Tip well. Enjoy. Hard to believe but this is the only place in town that has a taco cart like you find in the streets of Mexico. The tacos are delicious effing good. The hours the taco stand are open are not consistent so check in advance. 6 types of tacos all of which are great. Toppings make every order unique. I have only tried the chorizzo burrito many times. This is real and complex Mexican style with layers of flavor, with smoky pepper, cilantro, cheese, potato, egg, onion and meat that is cooked well. You order at the register, then sit down and wait for it to be delivered to your table. I got the carnitas plate and SWMBO got the chile relleno/ enchilada combo. I'm a pork fiend and have a weakness for Chile verde or carnitas. I was ready for the same old slow cooked, but somewhat overdone pork favorite. I was delightfully surprised to find a large portion of crispy, juicy pig on my plate. Fantastic!! The relleno was the largest I'd ever seen. Lots of cheese and fluffy batter. I was so excited when I found out we had a Las Brisas in our area as I am a big fan of the Escondido location. I told my husband the other location had the best Carne asada burrito I've ever had so we came here with our family and am so excited to say the carne asada burritos here are just as delicious, very juicy carne and fresh guacamole, decent salsa variety. My husband loved all the street tacos he got, he loved his carne asada, adobado, tacos de cabeza and his horchata. My kids also loved their quesadilla and bean burritos.
