The salsa is super tasty with a nice kick and the chips are always fresh Their menu has something to please everyone and they have a rotating daily special along with a happy hour. The staff is really friendly as well and they are well staffed which is always nice to see. The atmosphere is really nice as well inside and outside. Food is consistently good. Ambience is OK. Unfortunately service seems to be getting worse. Even though the restaurant was not at capacity it still took a very long time to get our water (10 minutes) and our orders in (another10 minutes). Getting the check even longer. Although we requested the check several times, I still had to go to the cash register and wait 10 minutes before able to pay. It appears that phone-in and online orders receive priority over in-house customers from the servers. They need to hire someone who only handles phone-in and online orders. Came here as I was exited about getting a real margarita. Many places in area have wine margaritas but I needed something that was more potent. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a party of 5. Smaller spot but has outside patio seating it appeared. Customer service was perfect. Margaritas were solid. I had a single Cadillac that was really good flavored. Got a double jalapeño and that hit the spot. Also had beef flour flautas and they were really good. A little soft with the salsa on top but still very good flavored. What happened here? Haven't been back for some time but the last 2 times and again today, the service has really gone downhill. Servers walk past you as you wait to be seated...don't greet you and eventually we seated ourselves. Servers talking to others and literally ignoring you. No thanks nor recognition, no interaction and then I waited and waited to pay the bill while 3 men walked right past the register several times and never acknowledged I was there. It was several minutes before car were even acknowledged needing to be seated and then she took my name down even though no one else was waiting to be seated and there were open tables. Then we waited several more minutes to be seated, which just involved them pointing to an empty table and telling us to sit there. let me wait several minutes to have our orders taken. First time here!! A good Mexican burrito sounded like the perfect pre Dodger game fix. The place appeared to be clean with some regulars seated and enjoying their late lunch. Good signs so I decided to place my order. I ordered the burrito grande with no rice and no sour cream. I've never been a fan of either item. Made sure to confirm twice with the gal. Food was ready in a decent amount of time and I was on my way back to work, walking distance. With GREAT sadness I was met with what seemed like EXTRA rice. A true bummer. Was hoping this would be my go to place. In addition to finding some mystery pieces I will not be dining here again. For $25(18.99 burrito+tip) NOT WORTH IT. May 31, 2025 and 4 of us came in for dinner. It was busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes, but they estimated 20 minutes and it was... So no complaints. And a huge thank you, as we were seated about 745pm (closing time is 8pm). We all enjoyed the chicken enchiladas!! Plenty of salsa and chips were served. One in our group actually ordered a bacon, burger and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Unfortunately, as we had our meal and drank our beverages, we had to ask for soda and water refills. And then when we were done, I had to get up and go ask for boxes (to go/leftovers) and our check. And after waiting for our check, I had to go ask a second time. I do understand by this time it was pushing 830 with an 8 PM close time... but I would think that they would be more attentive to those still in a restaurant instead of cleaning tables (for the next day). In any case, we will definitely return ! read more

Food is good but service is terrible - arrogant and lazy. We've been here a few times but today will be our last.

We drive over an hour and a half to eat here but it's so worth it. My family loves Mexican food and this one is one we drive a little extra for every once and awhile. My boyfriend can not get over how crispy the edges of the chicken tacos are. He talks about it often... My favorite is the fried cheese cake desert. There is a big parking lot which is often well filled and plenty of street parking. You probably should bring a coat since there is indoor/ outdoor seating and sometimes its a Little cold. read more

Bestie and I had dinner @ Las Cazuelas here in Nipomo for our first time and maybe not our last. We enjoyed our cocktails and the service we received from servers. We went on a BUSY Friday afternoon but waited less than 10 minutes. My friend had chile rellanos and I had some chicken enchiladas. The thing that upset me the most is that when we where seated the bus boy was chatting with another table next to us very loudly about politics and being extremely racist and made me and my family feel really uncomfortable. I so wanted to like this place. My in laws have been coming to Nipomo the last three years to go to a local Christmas tree farm. All 12 of us will get lunch before running around the trees. On this occasion we decided to try this restaurant since grandpa likes Mexican food. Easy to get to with Yelp directions and decent parking right outside the place. We were able to get tables to accommodate all of us no problem. We arrived 15-20 mins after opening so it wasn't crowded. Orders were taken nicely and food arrived in a timely manner. The disappointment came with our food. I ordered Aguacates and shrimp. The menu read that it was lettuce topped with avocado, shrimp and pico de Gallo. Mmm, that sounded tasty and light. My plate had two measly strips of wilted lettuce, defrosted shrimp and some lame, tasteless "pico de gallo", which was a watery tomato soup with some wilted cilantro and NOT fresh diced tomato. The waiter brought me Tapatio so I smothered it to try and get some flavor. My husband ordered a wet burrito and asked if he could have pico on the side. Waiter told him they had no pico.... Mmmm, my plate had some as tasteless as it was. So my husband asked for diced tomatoes, they said they didn't have any, he asked for diced onions only to be told that they couldn't give him any because it was for the menudo for the rest of the day. What?! Poor treatment to a patron when you won't even try get what we asked for nicely. We asked for a little bit not a whole plate. My sister got a chicken tostada but the chicken was barely present but they made up with the lettuce. Such disproportionate meals. Sheesh. I would have easily forgiven all that if at least the service was better. We won't be returning here sadly. We were served tons of chips at the beginning so there's that. Ugh. read more

Very nice restaurant, although they struggle at times and it can take quite a while to get your food. The decor is actually pretty, like an "hacienda" style, and the outside dining area is cute and has plenty of shade. I have come here many times, and have always received my orders correctly, and the staff has always been friendly. The only issue I have is it can sometimes take a very long time to get your food, not sure if the kitchen is understaffed. The food is very good and has always been consistent. I'm only sad that they do not have Jarritos or Aguas Frescas. My usual favorite is the green enchiladas, the sauce is really good. On the way to Cambria, we stopped for a gem show at Nipomo HS. We were hungry afterwards and my friend wanted Mexican food. I didn't even think this small town would have a Mexican restaurant. But we found Las Cazuelas. She ordered huevos rancheros and loved it. I ordered a hamburger and I loved it along with the fries. The service is great, courteous and responsive.
