We had really high expectations for this this restaurant based on the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the same as other reviewers. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. The hostess was efficient but not particularly friendly. The restaurant was not very busy at 7:30 PM but it took a little while before our server arrived at the table. Once she came by, however, she was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered the filete diamante, the huachinango zarandeado, and horchata. The server brought us a complimentary ceviche tostada as we waited for our meal. The ceviche was just OK - not a lot of flavor. It was served with a habanero sauce and lime wedges. Definitely use both - it helps the dish a lot. The filete diamante was nicely cooked - moist fish and seafood. Unfortunately, flavor was also really lacking. This dish could have used a healthy dose of lime or other citrus to add brightness and flavor. Also, the fries were cold. The real failure in this dish is that they used imitation crab. Seriously? The huachinango was actually quite good. The sauce on the snapper was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. It could have used a little more sauce but it was fine without it. The problem with the huachinango is the price - $39.50!! It was listed as "market price" and I should have asked in advance. For that price, I can have sea bass at Pappadeaux or a NY Strip at Stoney River with a few bucks to spare. Both dishes were served with rice, grilled bread, and a big pile of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. No dressing is served with the salad but the veggies were fresh. If you include the sides, the servings are pretty large (not nearly large enough to justify 39.50, though). I'm not a horchata fan but my wife said it tasted like a mix she bought once. She wasn't impressed. And that pretty much sums up our entire experience - not impressed, especially for the price. read more

I made an online reservation on 12/5/17 for our annual company holiday lunch (25 people). It was super easy to do and got an email confirmation immediately. We always have it the same restaurant but this year we wanted to try someplace different. Everyone was super excited about lunch on 12/15/17. The only issue I had was not being able to get anyone to call me back about my reservation. Everything was fantastic! I have come here three times and I have to say I love everything about it! The food is real and authentic and the service is amazing. Every time I have come I am never disappointed with the food. The drinks on the other hand are also amazing. My favorite is the piña colada, it is a must get if you come here (alcohol or no alcohol)! So my girlfriend and I pass this place often, they're always busy and we always said we wanted to try it, tonight we did. Nice environment with large saltwater aquariums in several locations in the dining room. Asked our hostess how to pronounce the name of the place as I pointed to the menu and she didn't understand a single word i said. We then opened the menu and we were totally shocked at the prices, have never seen a $24 app, still haven't, passed on those and got the shrimp and cheese empanadas with cilantro chimichuri, reasonably priced. Funny thing with the app tho, she brought it out with our meal. Empanadas were delicious and filling. Oh yeah, while I expected chips and salsa they provided a marlin saveche plate with large corn tortillas, not bad really. Girlfriend asked server if the price of $17 for the bowl of soup was correct and she said yes but it was big. She lied, it was huge! There was more soup in one bowl than i would serve to a party of four! Literally had more seafood in that bowl than four people could eat and it was just the two of us. I ordered the breaded shrimp which was very generous and delicious. Served with fries and a delicious rice with pretty much a salad of lettuce tomatoes and cucumbers. To be completely honest we decided we would leave before ordering but she brought the saveche and now the rest is history. I honestly laughed throughout the meal at just how large that bowl of soup was, the carry out container for the leftovers came from a KFC chicken bucket. Delicious fresh, food! A Complimentary cerviche tostada is offered to every guest. I ordered the Piña Rey and most def had enough to share. Portions are huge. Everything I tried tasted really good. My wife was born in Nayarit, so when we heard about this place we were both excited to try it. From our first experience we could tell that while the place was dressed up nicely and the style of dishes on the menu was quite impressive, the food quality was simply lacking. Style is authentic, but quality is just not there and does not reflect menu prices. Simply put, the food is grossly overpriced. I could understand if the seafood was fresh and high quality, but it's not. The seafood does not taste fresh, the lettuce garnish they call a salad is some of the worst quality I've seen, and even the french fries are of the freezer bag variety and taste like fish as it appears they use the same oil to fry everything. Grocery store quality at premium prices. With the cheapest thing on the menu being right around $15 all the way up to $40 and $50, I just don't see how they can survive for long. However, their target demographic seems to be the hard-working Mexican that does not mind parting with his/her hard-earned dollars for a few cold beers and some food that reminds them of home. We've been 3 times now hoping each time we would be convinced otherwise, but that's just not the case. If I'm going to pay $30-40 for a plate, I'd rather hit a real seafood place in Buckhead. read more

I went with a group of 10 this busy Sunday and got seated quickly, the servis was A1 the best.. the food was full of flavor like always but this time everything was just more than perfect. The manager Rafael was so in to his work and great customer service. And Reyna other than a great service with a great smile she was on point with her recommendations I dont know how but she managed to sell 6 desserts to my table, and we never order desserts.The way she described them we couldn't resist . by the way the desserts are amazingly delicious.. Excellent restaurant! This is the second time that I came here and food was good. I ordered the red snapper entre and shared it with another since it's such a huge plate. It came with the whole snapper, orange slices, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It's around $40 and it can honestly feed 3 people. I also ordered the strawberry margarita and it was ok but beautiful presentation. I ordered the medium cup which is around $11 I believe but can honestly just order the smaller one next time; it's a lot. Worsts customer service you could ever receive!! We called 2 hours in advance for a reservation, when we arrive we are told they are not taking reservations and then continue to tell us that we need to make reservations at the other booth even though we already had one? Once that was sorted they tell us the wait is 35/45 mins. So we make our way to the outside seating area, because inside the main entrance was packed with so many people( maskless ) you struggled to get in or out. After waiting nearly an hour and a half they finally call us in to only be seated outside in the cold. After waiting all that time to be seated we waited another hour and half before our food arrived, one of the people in our party received their order wrong and a different waiter took the food back only to have our waiter bring it back and have the audacity to blame them for him getting their order wrong by the time his food was out everyone else had finished their mediocre food and already had Togo boxes. In the end the waiter still made us pay for the food HE got wrong. read more
