I came here for ceviche and I was disappointed. The dish had all the require elements but lacked the delicious flavor of ceviche and was very bland to me. So disappointing! My guest enjoyed her Shrimp Burrito, but when I looked at her plate the over cooked rice didn't look very good to me and it didn't taste good. They seem to have generous good looking cocktails in pineapples and coconuts, but I didn't come for drinks. This meal was not a win for me and I don't think I'll be back. read more

This pace has amazing food. The atmosphere combined with the food and the drinks makes it a weekly favorite of mine. They first give you a free ceviche tostada to start off the meal. Just delicious. Las Costas is fantastic ! It gets packed, but service is quick and the portions are HUGE. So be careful. If your note really hungry, get an appetizer or take it home for the next day. Drinks are amazing as well. Been there many times and never had a negative experience. read more

Been here twice in the several weeks and after seeing the reviews I figured I give it a try. SO I went on cinco de mayo and I was already expecting a crowd and sure it was. Long line for a wait to be seated but honestly I only waited about 35 mins until I was seated so I couldn't complain because it was a holiday. Food and drinks obviously took a little bit longer to get served but again it was a holiday. Went again this past Friday on 5/12/17 and no wait and the food was good and excellent had no issues with the time of arrival of food/drinks. Had a great waitress named Lilliana she was wonderful. This is probably the worst seafood place I've been to. I'm from California, and my husband and I just so happened to crave "seafood estilo nayarit" since it's so popular in California. Keep in mind it was a 3+ hour drive out the way, but I convinced him it was so worth it, and BOY WAS I DISAPPOINTED. We get seated immediately which I loved, then waited about 25 minutes for some damn CHIPS & KETCHUP. My husband was like baby we can just leave and get chick-fi-la & I insisted to stay since I love CAMARONES A LA KORA. & it's been years since having them since we are both in the service and stationed in Kentucky. About 35-45 from being seated we are asked if we are ready to order, our menus have been closed for a while now. Once we ordered we waited about another 40 minutes. I got my plate, very dry shrimp (a la kora) usually they are covered in that spicy goodness. Whatever, I'm waiting since it's rude to eat if my honeys plate is not at the table yet, 15 minutes go by and yay his plate made an appearance. At this point I was completely over it. We asked for the check and BOY that took forever! She walked by us after 15 minutes and my husband asked for the check AGAIN. . The restaurant was not busy so I didn't understand. Awesome restaurant!! The food is delicious. The only place I come to get crab legs. They have a great selection of seafood dishes, and the service and atmosphere is top notch. Stopped by las Costas Nayarita's to meet a few friends and was met by Saul, one of the best bartenders I've met in awhile! He made drink suggestions to include their mango margarita. I decided to try this and was not disappointed. Our group also shared an order of empanadas, ceviche, and crab legs. Delish!!! We came one time prior which is why this spot was on the top of our list due to: service, quality and fun! If you're in Gwinnett County please make an effort to stop by this awesome establishment. First time dining in here, the food is delicious! Great portions, also we ordered a lot. The fish tacos are my favorite!

At first I ordered two of the lunch specials, the shrimp burger and fajitas, just to get a feel for the place. They were extremely unimpressive, dont know what i expected but the "burger" was some shrimp with cheese on a cheap bun, no flavor whatsoever. But I persevered, encouraged by my husbands happiness with both the ceviche and his shrimp cocktail, I ordered the lobster with cream sauce. Stuffed with "costena mix" (basically a dozen other sea creatures) it was rich and hearty and enough for about 3 meals which was great considering the market price that day of $43. Normally I'd flinch at a price like that but it was worth it! So delicious. The waitress was pleasant enough but I did feel a little out of the loop not speaking spanish fluently so my husband did alot of the translating. I don't know if there would have been more English spoken though if we had needed it but Im sure it would have been fine. read more

Honestly the worst $150 I've spent in food. Ridiculously over priced for food you can practically make yourself at home for less than $7. First and last time I go. People are nice though. The food was ok. However, we ordered a stuffes lobster meal (cant remember exactly what it was called) but the waitress recommended it to me and i didnt even think to ask the price. It was huge, and looked great. But they served immitation crabmeat in both me and my husband's dish. Not to mention this lobster meal was $43! Which i would not have minded paying IF the they served REAL crab meat instead of immitation crab meat. Which is truly a shame since the crab salad that we got while waiting for our meal in the first place was made with real crabmeat...not the highest grade of crabmeat but it was real. So i was confused that the free stuff we got while waiting for our meal was real, but what we actually paid for was immitation crab meat. Sorry, but we wont br going there again. I cant imagine how a "seafood" restaurant would sell immitation crabmeat! read more

This is probably my new favorite restaurant for Mexican food! When I first walked in, I immediately noticed the upbeat atmosphere! There is always a mariachi playing great music for everyone to listen to while they are enjoyed their meals. We ordered steak fajitas, a pineapple filled with costena mix, and a tilapia with costena mix. All three dishes were absolutely delicious! I will definitely come back here to eat and I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant to everyone! read more

Great food! Was in town and ate here on a whim. Had the shrimp in spicy tomato sauce app and the marlin ceviche. Both had great balance.

The service was fast and excellent! I had the garlic shrimp and it was great. Monse was our server and was very kind.

The food was great but the staff was not. We felt ignored. My food came out 40 minutes after we ordered, my husband's food came out 30 plus minutes after mine. Prior to his food coming out we told a server we did not want it anymore because its been 30 minutes after my food came out, and she said she will let "them" know. They brought they food out to us anyways and we said we did not want it. That server acted like noone ever told her about the cancellation. Long story short the food was brought back and we waited forever to get our tab and a togo container. Got our tab and noticed we paid 5.99 for a tiny kids pizza and and additional 2.99 for fries. We thought the pizza came with fries by that time we were so upset with the way we've been treated we just paid and left. I didn't even want to leave tip but left some anyways because we couldn't spare anymore time waiting for change because all night we were waiting to get noticed. Maybe they treat people that speak Spanish better? I have no clue, but, we felt ignored. We didn't have one server we had several and all of them acted like we were not worthy enough. Very disappointed with my last visit the service seriously was the worst our waitress was super slow and not attentive at all and the place wasn't even packed at all she looked all types of confuse and lost my family had suggested mariscos mazatlan but I insisted to come to las costas Because it had always been a good experience in the past for me and I wanted my cousin to try it out for the first time and experience good seafood but it had been like more then a half a year since I have been back and boy the service has definitely gone down hill everything took so long it was so annoying all the servers looked mad and like they hated their job we asked another server for some help and he literally didn't even help giving us the " I'm not your sever look " it was very disappointing to get the service we got and our check ended up being $830 of course we didn't mind paying Bc we consume everything in that check but I just wish it would of came with a better service we had to get up to get everything napkins , salt , hot sauce , my family kept telling me that at mazatlan everything would have been better oh well next time I'll try the other place the 2 starts was Bc the food was good . read more

First time visiting from out of town and we were seated right away. While waiting for our food, there were 2 bands that played but we were told it would cost $20 to have the band play for our table, which we didn't do but the table next to us did and we were able to still enjoy the music.
