    Torta de Carne Asada
    Linda M.

Loved it!!! First time here and when I ask ppl what's the best Mex food in the SFV, Las Fuentes always gets mentioned. I finally had it and I looooved their torta!! The carne asada had really good flavor and the torta was not soggy at all. The order style is also super easy and the staff is so fast. I can see why this place is mentioned as one of the best in the valley! I look forward to being back!!

Nice experience! Super cute on the inside and a delicious looking menu! I got the tostada with flour shell with carnitas. Amazing- big portion. Had everything I wanted! And a nice bean with cheese bottom of shell Can't find this fish plate on the menu and the sides were delicious, but the fish could've been more seasoned. Will come back!

    Machaca burrito combination ($17.75)

Recommended by a friend, I finally got a chance to eat here recently. Here's what we ordered... Machaca burrito combination: Pretty good including the ranchera sauce, rice and beans. Enchilada rancheras combination: Pretty good Chips: Bit of an after-taste Salsa bar: I could only take the one mild sauce they had and it was okay. This is not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter, pick up your drink cups a few steps to the left and they deliver your food. It's a good sized restaurant with plenty of seating. Parking: I went on a Sunday and had no problem finding a spot on the street.

Wonderful, small Mexican restaurant. Freshly made chips and salsa, and delicious , fresh food.. Really nice decor and comfortable seating as well. We ordered asada nachos and a chicken quesadilla on this past visit. Both meals were very tasty with perfectly seasoned asada and chicken . The food quality showed in the flavor. Their crew provides warmth with careful observation. Overall it was a good experience, I am glad we were able to find a seat and eat. This is an order up front with the cashier, sit where you want place. So make sure there's seating available before you order, otherwise get takeout. Parking can be difficult

Was in the area & I needed alcohol & I suppose food so I Googled & I Uber'd here from a Metro Rail Train station (can't remember station name) Upon entering, you order at the counter like at Fast Food, the Menus on the wall & they also have a non wall format Average prices You pay & get a plastic number thingy like Carls Jr back in the day Professional staff. You get your draft beer at a different area. There is a salsa bar Tons of interior seating options On a weekday lunch it was kinda packed I didn't wait long at all Chile relleno the cheese was not gooey, batter not thick, no seasoning The rice & beans average There shoulda been more ingredients to the pretty much Chile & Cheese. That's all it was. Bathroom single stall, clean I will absolutely never return nor will I ever recommend.

This place is not what it used to be. Before Covid times, the food was so good with a great salsa they had with chopped jalapeños and carrots, that's no longer available. The service and vibe were also amazing. I was so disappointed in the food and service! I ordered a tostada (besides my better judgement of ordering what I typically do, which is a gringo style wet burrito). I specifically asked the cashier if it came in the fried shell bowl. She said yes and that I can choose between flour or corn. I asked if the size or look were different, and she said no, so I ordered corn. It came out as a plate of just unseasoned mess. The carnitas were extremely dry and had no flavor, despite drowning it in whatever sauces were available. My husband's plate is what he normally gets too, carne asada plate. Dry and no flavor. A nearby table received their order and they also ordered a tostada that came with the shell. I asked the waitress (who was the same lady to took our order) what they ordered and she said tostada. When I told them mine came out the way it did, she said that was my fault for ordering corn. I felt that it was misleading despite me asking questions. She said she will bring out a flour tostada. I was fine up until this point because it was a simple mistake on both our ends. However, another waitress who brought out the flour tostada started speaking to me in Spanish, then repeated in English "this is flour, this is corn (while pointing at my plate)" in the most condescending manner. I will never go back here and I understand why the ratings have gone down significantly. They opened another location in Chatsworth, with worse ratings and I can confidently say I will never go back nor recommend it to anyone!

Las Fuentes is an amazing counter service mexican restaurant. I'm glad we tried this place out as they are amazing! The interior has a wonderful and delightful decor. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. The Steak Quesadilla was excellent and the chicken nachos did not disappoint. I definitely want to come back here in the future! Edit: I've been back and was able to try their horchata which was delicious. I stand by my previous review as well. The food here never disappoints. The plates are generous and provide enough food for almost 2 meals for a great price.

I visited with a group of four others for dine-in. The young lady at the register was very friendly and polite, and she took the time to answer all of our questions, which we appreciated. As for the food, my review is based solely on my own dish. I ordered the burrito de chile relleno, and while it was served slightly warm, it lacked the flavor I was expecting. I ended up eating only half and asked for a container to take the rest home. One of my friends mentioned they enjoyed it, so it could just come down to personal preference. For me, though, I tend to enjoy my meals more when they're served hot, and I think the temperature played a big role in my overall experience.

If you're on the hunt for a seriously satisfying wet burrito, Las Fuentes absolutely delivers--and then some. From the moment your plate hits the table, you can tell you're in for something special. The burrito is massive, perfectly wrapped, and completely smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that strikes that ideal balance between bold and comforting. Every bite is loaded with well-seasoned meat, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of cheese melted over the top. What really sets Las Fuentes apart is the depth of flavor. The sauce isn't just an afterthought--it's the star, tying everything together with a savory, slightly tangy kick that keeps you coming back for more. The rice and beans on the side are just as impressive, clearly made with care and not just filler on the plate. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the overall experience feels authentic and satisfying. Whether you're a wet burrito lover or trying one for the first time, this spot will raise your standards. Las Fuentes isn't just good--it's the kind of place you start craving the second you leave. The inside has a great Spanish decor.

Came here because I was craving a chile relleno burrito, I left still craving a chile relleno burrito. The rice was room temperature and hard. The chicken burrito was also not very good. Chips were overly salty. The best thing here was the horchata and it was just ok. Service was terrible, the staff acts like they're being forced to be there without pay. Come here if you don't want good food.

Las Fuentes comes up in most discussions about Mexican food in the Valley and I was happy to finally try it. It's true that parking can be tough, but note they do have a couple of dedicated spots in the lot under the RR Auto Group sign! The inside is bright and lively with a pretty large menu. It looked like a full seating type place which was a little confusing, but you just order at the counter and grab any table. They even give you a round server tray at the end of the counter to carry your own drinks and salsa cups (don't miss the salsa bar!). Chips are available for an extra charge. We ordered three of the more unusual platillos on the menu... Carne a la Tampiqueña: I'd never heard of it before. :D Look up the history and symbolism of this if you don't know! It includes a beautifully charred and tender thin steak, panela cheese enchilada, rice, beans, guacamole, mole sauce, grilled peppers and tortillas. Massive variety and nicely done, especially the steak. Pechuga Plate: A flattened grilled chicken breast with rice, beans, tortillas, guacamole, and a really interesting green sauce made with mushrooms (which the menu describes as "occasionally spicy!" It was.). Very hearty dish! Pescado a la Parrilla: Grilled trout with all the sides! This seemed to be very popular among customers and after trying it, I can see why.

I have been visiting this place for 25+ years, ever since I was little. I live 6 hours away but anytime I'm in the area I always visit. In those years it has never disappointed. My regular order is the caldo de pollo and chicken flautas. But I have tried the enchiladas, machaca burrito, torta, tacos, and more. I love the variety offered and the consistent flavors. This place is very home like. The interior has large tables and chairs with traditional decor. Staff is friendly and the place is always clean. The chicken soup is my go to, full of flavor with big chunks of chicken and avocado. Flautas are light and crispy filled with shredded chicken. You order at the front and wait to be called, service is quick and the food comes out in about 10-15 minutes.

We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch, and nostalgia definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The Jjolmyeon has always been our all-time favorite from the LA location, so ordering it was a no-brainer. And wow... it somehow tasted even better here! We also ordered the Yuk Kalguksu (육칼국수) and Gun Mandu (군만두), and everything hit the spot. The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). We ordered Galbi Ugeoji Haejangguk (갈비 우거지 해장국), Galbitang (갈비탕), Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Samgyetang (삼계탕), and Yukgaejang (육개장). As a working mom, finding a restaurant that serves delicious food, offers great service, and makes takeout this effortless feels like striking gold. I was fighting a pretty rough hangover, and this bowl honestly brought me back to life. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and the spice level was just right. It had a nice kick without overpowering everything else. The first time I came here, I ordered the chicken karaage. Super crispy, juicy, and easily one of my favorite things on the menu. The restaurant itself is pretty small and cozy, which I liked. One thing to know is that the parking lot entrance is easy to miss if you're driving by on the main street. It's much easier to come in from the little street behind the plaza. If you're in the mood for ramen, I'd absolutely recommend giving Maru a try.

I don't eat pork, but I'm okay with pork broth, so I asked if I could substitute the pork chashu for chicken. What I received instead was popcorn chicken, which was unexpected and not at all what I had in mind. There was no communication that this would be the substitute, which made it even more frustrating. On top of that, I was still charged for it without any clarification beforehand. Transparency goes a long way, especially when making substitutions. Overall, between the lackluster flavor and the confusing substitution, it just didn't feel like a thoughtful or well-executed experience.

I had lunch today at Master Gan Noodle and Dumpling, and everything was on point. I had the House…read moreSpecial Fried Beef Noodle and a side of scallion pancakes, which were freshly made and came out hot off the skillet. They were so good. My partner got the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which was flavorful and comforting. We both grabbed sodas with our meals, and I appreciated that they had Sunkist. You don't see that at many places, and I love a good orange soda. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and the flavors delivered. Service was great, too. The person at the front was super attentive, and I liked the mobile ordering station near the register. For anyone searching this spot on Yelp, just a heads-up that it's located inside the Northridge Mall. It's definitely worth checking out if you're craving some good noodles and dumplings. I'll for sure be back.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.
