This place is the best Mexican food in town. The chicken fajita burritos are amazing and they are under $10.

Great value find! I had the fish burrito which costed only $7 and change, the fish was crispy and the slaw had a nice tangy flavor. Also, the restaurant is right next door to The Dog Pawrk Brewery which allows you to bring food from elsewhere since they don't have a kitchen. Super rude staff and I waited 30 min and called ahead (so an hour)for a salad. They don't use gloves when making the food and super unsanitary. I was expecting a regular taco shop, but walking in it's a different experience. There are no tables inside, only outside. It's more of a convenience store feel, with the option to order food at a counter. I don't think there is a 'for here' option. There is a large kitchen in the back, something unusual for a taco shop. I got the 2 enchilada meal w/ beans & rice. They do something different that I've never seen before - they wrap the to-go container in foil, mainly to keep the food warm I assume (since everyone has to do take-out). There is no salsa bar either, I wasn't asked if I wanted salsa, so I don't know if it's an option. The food is alright at best - the enchiladas are not the best I've had, and it's drowning in sauce. The beans are on the soupy side, so it's hard to eat with a fork. The rice is fine, but I feel both of these should have had a little more portion-wise. read more

As much as I love their food, they messed up my last three orders in a row. I look forward to pulled pork, or carnitas as you may say and I got home to find steak, BUMMED! Remind me why I came in for taco Tuesday... Waited 45 minutes for 5 tacos. When I asked the cashier why people who have ordered after me have already left with their food, she told me "you need to wait or else you want your money back?" I had never tried this place because the reviews were either a1 or a 5 so I decided to give it a shot. I had a Chile Verda burrito and a Carne Asada burrito. I started with the Asada but wasn't 100% sure the the Asada was what I was eating. Anyway it was good but a lot of beans! Phew. Good flavor and plenty of salsa. No charge by the way. I had read that people we're being charged but not true. Green salsa was good. Onto the Chile Verde which had lean shredded pork but again a lot of beans. Both burritos had good authentic flavor. Not anything like Chipotle or Baja Fresh. This is authentic Mexican food. Burritos were only $6 so you can't go wrong. For the guys probably get a taco and a burrito and you'll be good. So, honestly, I've only ever come here for the Taco tuesday special, when all tacos are $1.50 (what a deal!). They are small, so I always order 2, and that fills me right up. Being a pescetarian, I always get the fish and veggie tacos, which both are on the soft taco shell. My sister loves the beef tacos, though, and those are on the crispy, hard shells. This is getting ridiculous at this point. Every time I order a burrito now, I get giant chunks of fat in it. I literally just pulled a piece out that was more then half the size of the burrito. This isn't even edible at this point. Your cooks can't serve this shit. Do not I repeat do not try to order a party order from Los Golandrinas I wanted beef not pork nope they couldn't do that but they would give me the party pack without the pork for the same price . Hmmm.... I was ordering 2 so that would be 4lbs of pork they wouldn't include hmmm... Doesn't add up they would be making money. They said I would have to order ala cart for twice the price hmmmm..... Best authentic Mexican food in San Juan Capistrano and that is saying a lot as there are some awesome Mexican restaurants nearby. No matter what you order, it will be a wonderful experience. Don't expect much in the way of atmosphere, it is a taqueria where you go in, order and take the food out. Some tables outside near the parking lot but best to get the goods home as fast as you can, pop a beer and enjoy. We have purchased bulk food for gatherings at our place and have always satisfied our guest. Just plan good food. A go to place at many levels. read more

I don't understand how anyone would rate this place poorly. Las Golindrinas is an awesome spot with really good Mexican food at a killer price. My husband and I love it since there are great veggie options and the option to also grab catering/staples. This is not the place if you are expecting overpriced Americanized Mexican food (which is often the case in San Clemente). Love coming here for a quick and easy Mexican meal (great tacos, tamales, burritos, plates etc) and also grabbing chips/sweet tamales/dry beans etc for the week. read more

Prices are a little on the high side, and everything is super greasy - but the food definitely hits the spot when you're itching for some authentic mexican food.
