Delicious and authentic, can't ask for anything more except better customer service. Have fun trying to crack a smile out of the lady working the register, she seems bothered by anyone's presence lol. I would give 5 stars but her poor attitude docked a star off. The restaurant is a to-go only spot and it's like a factory behind the counter. You can feel the heat radiating throughout the space. Tortilla chips being made by the second and family platters being assembled. Their menu is pretty extensive so you won't have a problem choosing what you want. Get a side of their guac and chile lime chips, you won't be disappointed. They also have a orange and pina colada whipped soda drink which is tasty and refreshing. Their beef flautas and tamales are finger licking good. I would def come back to try more of their good eats.

I have been coming here for years but was so disappointed when I got home and looked at our burritos. The California burrito is typically huge no matter where you go because all that goes into the burrito, but not this time. It was so small that I had to get a measuring tape out and yep it was 6". It is bad enough that the service you get is subpar, the wait time is longer than it should be, during Covid they took away the outside tables and chairs, so now they are getting cheap and cutting the sizes down. It is too bad they are doing this because all it takes is for a competitor to come along and put them out of business. I would prefer to not see this happen, so I am hoping that Management pays attention to the reviews. The food is good, but not worth it at these sizes and prices.

I went in last minute to get tamales and a few other things. I wasn't expecting anything special because of the holiday rush. The service was fantastic and efficient. The tamales were the best i've ever had. I can not say enough good things about my experience! Thank you all so very much!!

Also my enchilada plate wen I get home for not using the proper bag

Really bad service I should read the reviews be for food was ok but this lady really bad attitude I came to ask for my order 25 min after and she said well 2 things one the order take longer and 2 we are busy you want your money back she asked and I was like I just ask a question she went to check and it ended be that my order was ready she ask for my ticket # it was 60 and she was saying that she had 66 no 60. Anyway I ask for salsa and she only give 2 for 3 plates of food I ask her for 2 more and she said you have to pay for it our policy said that only 2 for order and if you don't like it you can call the owner she didn't give me napkins and forks for enchiladas plate for arguing with me instead of try to keep the costumer happy never going to this place again.

I will NEVER go back. Poor, slow service and ridiculous prices. I ordered menudo and paid $14.50. They charged me extra for tortillas and cilantro! The only condiments that they would include were onions, oregano, and one tiny lemon wedge. I love menudo and order it often. It ALWAYS comes with cilantro, chopped jalepeno and onions, oregano, crushed red pepper, lemon wedge"S", and tortillas!!! It is ridicoulous that they would charge extra for condiments. It's like ordering a cheeseburger and having to pay extra for ketchup and mustard! The kitchen staff were very slow and lagging. They were not using gloves on the line which is a food safety violation. The cashier was clueless, unfriendly, and incompetent. She even forgot to give me the tortilla that I paid extra for. Condiments should be included in the price. I asked for pata, which usually is one medium size bone with marrow. They threw in a bunch or small chopped up bones that was a food safety hazard, and there was no marrow what so ever. I was ripped off!!! Beware! Very disapointed!

This place is the best Mexican food in town. The chicken fajita burritos are amazing and they are under $10.

This is by far my top salsa and guac place. The other stuff I've tried is good but it's the salsa and guac that keeps me coming back.

I really love their food and cocktails here (especially the…read moreMexican Candy!) and while I've had some things that weren't my favorite, everything I've tried has been delicious. One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Great little town to explore. This was our lunch spot. We had already walked for a couple hours. Avila's is a beautiful restaurant and fairly spacious. There is parking on both sides of the street among the shops on Avenida del mar. We were really thirsty and the busboy, Christian, got us 3 iced teas and chips like within 2 minutes. Super nice. Rafael was our waiter, and we ordered quickly. 1. Two taco combo platter, chicken and shredded beef. 2. Tacos and Caldo, my friend ordered with tacos. 3. Mama Avila's soup which came with chicken and lots of other things, and a tortilla. All 3 were delicious and filling. I always get a two taco combo plate since I love this meal, and to compare to other restaurants. This was great. The tacos perfect and flavorful. We will come back. Next time I will order the fajitas. I believe this is a chain with like 10 stores or so, so check to see if any are in your area. A very nice lunch with two fine lady friends as well. Thx Rafael for always checking on us and the iced teas to go.

The braised pork was cooked perfectly, flavorful, juicy, and incredibly tender. We also ordered the Tacos De Hongo ($39), which were excellent as well. The prime outside skirt steak was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the portobello mushrooms and grilled onions. I completely understand that gratuity is automatically included once you reach a certain party size, and I have no problem with that. However, our group consisted mostly of kids, and one of the adults wanted to order a kids meal because they weren't very hungry. The request was denied by our server. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I understand the reasoning behind the policy. That said, I also believe there are situations where a little flexibility can go a long way in creating a great guest experience. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did leave us feeling like the restaurant was prioritizing policy over hospitality.
