This is my first time hiring a catering service and they helped me have a wonderful experience. First, I was hesitant to order food without trying it first. I inquired about trying out the food but since they don't have a storefront I was directed to their stellar customer reviews which they have many. I asked them to guarantee that their chicken was as yummy as their beef offering since chicken is often treated as a second tier item. I was assured it'd be good and it was. The day of they were very accommodating when their work site was on a slight slope and they got the party going with tasty chips and guacamole. The asada was delicious. Found these guys on reddit recommended by several people. I booked them for my wife's birthday party. I had the pleasure of working with Christian. Communication was easy. All questions were answered promptly via email and we took care of the payment securely online. On the day Christian was very communicative and told us his ETA. He arrived when he said he would. He and his nephew were so kind and warm. The food was EXCELLENT. He had both a charcoal grill and a flat top so he got an excellent charcoal sear with all that flavor and then finished on the flat top. We had carne asada, pollo asada, and al pastor. My personal favorite was the al pastor but they were all top tier. We had the option of mulitas, burritos, or tacos and the plates came with rice and beans. We also had three kinds of aguas frescas: passion fruit, pineapple, and cucumber lime. Everybody was talking about how much they loved the food. So let me start off, I'm not a big Taco fan. I don't see that much difference from one taco to the next. This spot, yes great tacos, but I can say the same about the next spot. Just incredibly tasty, unique, authentic, I don't know how to describe it, but then I ordered another four. And then two more. And then one more. If I wasn't stuffed, I could have kept going. Just an amazing balance of tortilla, steak, but it was that sauce that just made it perfect. My only complaint, they don't always have the full menu at their pop up place, or it's just my bad luck. All of our guests RAVED about the meats and loved that they could get tacos, burritos, mulitas, or quesadillas. I (the bride) am vegan and it was a requirement that the vegan option be substantial, not just soggy grilled vegetables that have no place on my tacos. I've eaten from a few catered taco trucks hired to provide food for party goers. There was nothing memorable about them. But, oh boy, with Las Hermanas, it was a different gastronomical and visual experience for this taco lover. Christian and his servers generously piled chunky pieces of chicken, beef, and pork into the perfectly grilled tacos. The rice was perfect -- how did they make the rice so fluffy, so tasty and light, so uniform in color, and not greasy? I loved the plump grilled jalapeños and onions and the grilled red and green bell peppers that tasted so naturally sweet and juicy. Everything was perfect! I ate 3 plates of food, but I wasn't the only one. I enjoyed pouring 3 different types of sauces on the tacos. The dinner was accompanied by 3 big containers of rich-flavored Latino-style drinks: horchata, watermelon and pineapple. I am a big horchata fan and I can honestly say it was one of the most flavorful horchatas I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Several people commented how delicious the tacos were.
