I ordered a garlic fish and it didn't take like garlic. It was oily and the sauce was red.

I ordered the fish tacos. They were Big Tacos and Soooo Good. I figured it was a fluke and went back a few days later. These are huge tacos. This is hands down the best fish tacos I've ever had!!!! I've been all over Mexico and this is the spot!!! They use sea bass for the tacos. Please do not go before 6:00pm and order fish tacos. I'll always go before 6:00pm and do not want them to run out. One of the bast Agua Chiles (with callo) I've had. This raw shrimp and scallops (callo) that are pickled in fresh lemon juice and fresh serrano chiles. With the scallops, it's $23 and with shrimp only $18. But the scallops are fresh here and I love them, I always get them. The chips and salsa are very good, the service is great in English and Spanish, and the place is clean. Don't expect any nice decor, that's basic here but clean. They sell beer buy the single or by the six pack that comes in a metal bucket of ice. I can't wait to get back here to try more of their Mexican Seafood menu!! read more

Awful experience. My sons and I did not eat anything, when I say anything I mean we didn't eat anything! We left our plates full and I should have fought for a refund. The food was disgusting the seafood tasted like old fridge food. No flavor and my sons was ridiculously serve with nasty dried imitation crab. My shrimp and octopus tostadas was awful the octopus had a strong fridge flavor and it was all stuck together like mush. We just couldn't eat the food. I did notice the waiter looking at our plates when paying, maybe noticed the plates were still full!!!!! read more

Whenever I'm craving mariscos I always come to Islas. Definitely the best Mariscos I've ever had. My favorite dish to order has to be the langostinos or the shrimp ceviche. The customer service is amazing, they make you feel right at home and are very fast. Also I'm a sucker for their chips and salsa rojo which I always ask seconds of. When coming here another great menu item is the tacos governador, highly recommend! Can't wait for my next visit! read more

I always come here because the food is always good I normally get aguachiles, empanadas de camarón, and mojarra frita and honestly it's always very good I've tried other items and everything always taste really good my only but is the service sometimes the girls are very rude or it's seems they dont care for the customers today I got lluvia and soon as we walked in we were greeted like always but when she came to our table she has a very nice she has a very pleasant smile and she was very attentive I got her name because I think it's important to recognize employees with this service. CHECK YOUR BILL STATEMENT AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Was not planning on returning and did not tip. When going through my bank statement I noticed that I was charged more than I authorized. I believe the server added a 5 dollar tip to the bill intentionally. I personally do not feel like it was an accident based on the interactions we had. I went back to the restaurant a few days later and they refunded me the entire amount we paid for the whole meal + the tip that was not authorized to be added to the total. Fortunately I had the electronic receipt, copy of the physical receipt, my bank statement, and a witness that saw me write "0". They did not show me the original receipt. I'm suspicious that they may have possibly done this to others unknowingly, adding small tips. Be careful. read more

My husband swears by this place, and believes it to be the best mariscos place in Fontana. I must say, I disagree COMPLETELY. It's a typical hole-in-the-wall place, so I don't expect it to be very clean when I visit, which it is not. My husband's favorite menu item: the Langostinos, are a plate of lobster tails sauteed in some sort of butter sauce. Way over-seasoned if you ask me. My last visit here was on Friday evening with my husband, uncle, and father. You have to seat yourself, and wait for a waitress to bring you a menu. There were 3 waitresses to the entire restaurant (which at the time only had about 10 occupied tables) and yet their service was extremely slow. The waitress brought us menus, chips & salsa, and took our drink orders. By the time she returned for our food order, our chips were out. My uncle asked her for another order of chips and I caught her ROLLING HER EYES! After our food was brought out, no one returned to check on us or our drinks. My husband had to get up TWICE and approach them for a refill. They also forgot my husband's order of langostinos which he had to get up and ask for, as well. I ordered a hot shrimp cocktail and it was just average. The caldo (broth) was pretty flavorless, despite my attempt to revive it with ketchup. I honestly would NEVER come to this place if it weren't for the fact that my husband is such of fan of their food. I'm big on customer service, and this place has NONE. The food is just blah!, I am certain I can find better mariscos elsewhere, where I don't have to subject myself to eye rolls. read more

Sometimes after class I like to drive here to eat a nice tostada of ceviche de pescado. I really reminds me of my mom's cooking so it's pretty good. I miss my mom's cooking so much. Anyway, I like to order two tostadas and the price is very fair. Sometimes I feel like i do not belong here because I am not a mexican man watching a futbol game drinking a beer with his friends but whatevs, the mariscos here is great! Only giving this place 1 star because of their good micheladas and empanadas. Overall, their food isn't the best. Got the kids quesadilla plate and their quesadilla was DRIPPING in grease, It made my appetite go away. Also, their waitresses are not good at their job. We had to keep calling them walking over TO THEM because they wouldn't come to ask us if we needed anything. The only food i like from this place is their shrimp empanadas and when i called in to place an order for pickup they had me on hold for 30 MINUTES. We have been customers for years and today we were extremely disappointed with our meal. The fish and other foods no longer have the flavor it used to have. Not only does it not have flavor but it was also so burnt we couldn't eat most of it. I have gone to other Islas Marias locations and I recommend the others over this one. read more

We eat here every so often and its always been a good experience. My wife gets the tostada de camaron and the seviche de pescado. I always get the piña rellena. The piña rellena is really good I highly recoment it. It does come with a price of $15.99. My son always gets the tostada de pulpo and he enjoys it. Service is good. You just walk in and sit where you want and the waitreses will bring you salsa chips and lemons. Last time i came here we orderd orchata and it was very watered down. Im not sure why it was my first time ordering orchata from here. So i aint sure if thats how they make it or maybe the machine wasnt working properly. Also they dont have any fauntain drinks. Soda is served in a can or bottled. Location is kind of hidden. Its on the right hand corner of the shopping center. The place is roomy also. Enough tables to choose from. Ive never seen it full(but then again ive never been here on a weekend). I recomend this place for anyone looking to enjoy some mariscos in peace. read more

I ordered diet coke got coke. Ordered shrimp cocktail got seafood . Ordered small order me langostinos billed us a large. They brought my husbands food to another table. When we told them they did not even respond with an apology. We found out the cocktail was bland and lacked flavor. The mixed cocktail was a bunch of flavorless food on top of a tostada. I love this place! Ive tried several marisco places in Fontana and this one is the tastiest! The service is great, they might take a while to bring out your food but thats because they cook it FRESH on the spot. The molcajete is my first choice but I've tried many things here and they never disappoint. I recommend this place to anyone who wants deliciously prepared seafood. read more

The Langostinos are heavenly!!!!! The servers are hellish! They are unfriendly and slow. Its a sad reality if you choose to dine here.

While I was in Lodi I found this place and I thought it was the best Mariscos I ever had. When I told the server I live in the I.E she told me their was one in Fontana. I was so excited to have this place so close to my home. I could'nt wait to take my wife and share the great menu. All the Fontana one had in common with the Lodi location was the menu.
