Holy crap! Right out of the gate the service is sh**! I am fully fluent in Spanish and had no trouble communicating. Our server was clueless, careless and didn't care to listen. I guess it might be a cultural thing but in my culture you are served to your heart's content. In this case my kid gets hot cocoa when I clearly said "un leche chocolate." Then she tells me ,"oh we only have a hot chocolate machine. THIS IS ORLANDO! Cocoa in this weather. Then she has to ask if they can serve my son milk. He gets his, my wife on the other hand order's a margarita. The server took 4 minutes to come back and see if her wanted a "virgin." Now stuff happens, tickets get backed up, new servers don't know sh** but so far this place gets no thumbs up or down; just the finger. Hopefully the food is as great as I have heard. read more

Awesome food! The rice is nice and the beans are seasoned and salted to perfection. The waitresses there are always nice, just like the food. Please make sure to come with some patience if its happy hour because the restaurant can get PACKED. Other than the congestion that can happen in the dining room, the food is good and there is a lot to choose from. I got the garlic chicken and even though there was excess sauce. it was still very good. 8/10! read more

Love the service! The staff was incredibly our server Andrea was amazing she was knowledgeable and very friendly. Then we got a table touch by the manager Leo and he was incredibly there was only one coconut flan available but he went above and beyond and recommended the caramel flan with added coconut cream and it tasted delicious. The food was great too very flavorful well cooked and had an amazing presentation! Overall the ambiance was very nice and all the staff was too. **BEWARE** Several things to be aware of before you visit this restaurant. First, they do not list the price for sodas and they charge $3 for each can of soda (obviously no refills). Second, they will add a 20% tip to your bill under "service charge" which is fine, we were a large group so totally expected it, however, many in our party didn't realize that was the tip because of the wording, and they double-tipped. Now for the reason I will never give this place my business again - my sister-in-law gave them an additional tip of $10 on top of their 20% "service charge" and they changed it to $20. She noticed it a couple of days later in her statement. The food here was good but overpriced and we had no complaints about the service but if you are going to resort to these types of dishonest tactics to make your money we don't need to do business with you. There are plenty of better-priced, honest places to visit in town. Read other reviews, you will notice this is not a one-off. read more

Visited after a day at Gator Land. Group of 6 with kids and grandparents that had never been to a Colombian resturaunt before. From the outside it looks like and older place but the covered bar area is very nice to eat with tables spaces far enough apart. Salads were amazing and empanadas were excellent! The place is alright . Went yesterday To go for dinner with the family . Food is not all that , they need to put more flavor into the food and the size portions are on the smaller size. One of my side was an order of fried plantain and it was super dry , almost like it was fry a few times . My niece order some garlic shrimps and it came with two size shrimps , medium and xtra small shrimps that felt like rubber . Been wanting to take my wife here because I drive by it on the way home from work and it's always packed. Decided to check it out today ahead of time and it was delicious! Huge plate of food. Opted to sit outside (covered patio) and it was awesome! Definitely a place my wife and I could hang out at (I'm here at 3:30pm) not sure of the night crowd. Bar tender was very nice. Place is clean. The new renovations have done them well. With a more modern decor and outdoor patio/bar area, this place is busier than ever before. One thing for sure is that you will never leave Las Palmas hungry. The portions are very generous with most entrees coming with rice, salad, beans, and/or your choice of sweet plantains or tostones. The chicken empanadas are surprisingly deliciously that I order them every time I dine here. Other dishes I would recommend are the skirt steaks, seafood casserole, and filet tilapia with shrimp. This place is a joke. Went to lunch with my mom here. Initial greeting was nice. Then it all went down hill. Took over 5 min to take our drink order. Waitress was not friendly and did not help with the menu at all. We ordered a half dozen wings and a something with fries, beef and cheese. Both appetizers. Took 30 min to being our food. We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant. They gave us 5 wings instead of 6. Never refilled our drinks and the food was not that good. I would not recommend this place at all. Not impressed. The food was tasty, however the service was terrible. We were greeted at the door by a waitress and given menus. About 8 minutes passed before they realized we had not been visited. Drinks and order were placed together. We ordered two waters, a beer, a juice an appetizer and two meals. Only one water was brought to the table. Appetizer was not brought complete bc the server thought it was too much food for two people. Utensils and plates needed to be asked for. Meals came 3 minutes after appetizers giving us no time to finish one and move to the other. The meals were brought incomplete missing the rice and beans. Juice was brought after the meals. I honestly think it might be poor management. Tables should be assigned to servers and they should have their tasks to complete at each table. My family and I come here often when we're in the mood for something Latin. We always get seated immediately, but service takes forever most of the time. Even if it's not busy, you still wait a while for them to take your orders. Other than that, I usually get this creamy seafood soup with tostones on the side. My mom usually orders the Bandeja Paisa, which has beans, steak, chorizzo, chicharron, tostones, and plantains. I think that's too much protein in one plate for me, so I just stick to the soup haha. We order and it took about 25 minutes to get our food and it was cold , than it took us about 5 minutes to wave the waiter so that she can heat up our food. Being a resident of Hunters Creek, I pass this restaurant frequently. I finally decided to give it a shot, and my experience was a little disappointing. The service was incredibly slow. I could understand if it was a busy night, but there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Also, the language barrier made it almost impossible to communicate. The food was decent; however, I found a hair in my meal which immediately made me lose my appetite. If I spoke Spanish I probably would have communicated this to the waitress, but the language barrier made it impossible. The slow service alone will be the reason I will not return. read more
