I will be posting different reviews for two different dishes so that the average score puts Las Palmas where I think it should be overall. The omelette was just okay. I'm not sure if it was because I had ordered later in the day, but the chips were slightly soggy. I had never tasted them like that before. The beans were a bit dry as well and not like how they usually are. The rice wasn't bad, and it tasted fine. The omelette itself was good. It was run of the mill, but I think I'd rather have something else next time and not order this. read more

I am not pleased to do this review but I would like people to be aware and spare them from having a bad experience eating here. Not only is the food bad, tortillas are sour (probably left outside and got bad) and the menudo was sour as well, (Did they add lemon to it?) It is way over priced. We had two menudos with pata, two pozoles, two fountain sodas and two coffees. The check was $111.00!! Our server looked unhappy, we got no smiles but she was attentive. I do not recommend this place. I would give it -5 stars if it would allow me. read more

The pozole here is very good, full flavored with lots of meat, not a bunch of hominy to fill the bowl. Very generous serving. This was a takeout order when it was cold outside- so my review is not timely. ‍ Bought twice and quality very consistent. Recommend! Will try their Birria tacos and menudo next. We had eight people in our party and received lousy service with one meal being lukewarm at best. Had to beg to get refills in water,coke and ice tea. Was charged for gratuity because of our party size, we all felt that since we had a large party that we where taken advantage of and received lousy service because they were going to receive their tip no matter what. Personally, I'll never return because I could have done a better job myself taking the orders and serving just eight people. That's just 2 regular tables with 4 people each. The food it's self was good, except for the one lukewarm at best. read more

Quick and easy lunch, this place is so so good. I assumed it would be a typical Mexican food restaurant in San dimas but NO. This place stands out!!! I got the torta de Milanesa de pollo and omg it was massive. The entire torta was as big as the to go box and I could only eat half! The chicken was seasoned so well and it had the perfect amount of spiciness. I was most surprised by the menu because of all the options it had and that it wasn't some "everyone can eat it" type of my menu if you get what I'm saying. While we were there I was able to see someone order the tostada which was absolutely massive. It was probably bigger than my entire face! Super yummy!! read more

We can't believe that we haven't tried this place sooner. Absolutely delicious Mexican food, the kind your abuelita would make you. The service was also excellent. I would say that the plates were a little bit pricey, but really delicious. We had a carne asada torta with fries and an order of the chicken chipotle flautas. Everything was very flavorful. And for dessert we had the incredible churro donuts with horchata ice cream!!! Can't wait to go back!! read more

Whoa! This place has HUGE portions. We ordered the red and green chilequilles and menudo and WOW! At first I was like 16.99 for chilequilles WHAT?! But then the plates came out and I was like this is enough for four people per dish and let me tell you, I can eat, but not this much! The service was slow but that's probably because it was two servers, no hostess, and the cooks for the afternoon services. They were all really friendly. The restaurant is big and had plenty of space. They played a lot of Selena. Strongly suggest you try the cafe de olla, chilaquiles, red or green and Menudo. Huge portions, definitely worth the price with really great flavor. read more

Biggest disappointment of a restaurant I've ever been too. Complete incompetence whoever runs this place . Our Foods sat up there on the counter for 15 minutes before I had to go up there and ask them is that my food ? With three waitresses and one guy kept walking by all the food piled up on the counter and said nothing did nothing delivered no food until I mentioned something. .then they bring it out nice and cold. Then they had the nerve to ask do you want me to microwave it. Poor management poor food and some of the most ignorant waitresses I've ever seen. The chips were burnt and the place was dirty. Used to be a good place has really gone downhill read more

This spot is a hidden gem! So glad we found it. We stopped by for some breakfast which ends at 11 am and everything on the menu looked amazing. We got the steak and eggs and Benedict. Parking: there are plenty of parking. You shouldnt have an issue finding a spot Service: there are only two servers at the times I went here so they might get busy depending on the crowd but they are both very nice and tries to be prompt Outside: this is on the corner of the strip of the lot so there are plenty of windows and natural light which makes the interior very open and nice Inside: there are plenty of chairs and seems accommodating for large parties . The place is pretty clean Food; First time- chilaqueles with steak Second time - sopes with beef and the tostada mixta All of the food was much bigger than I originally expected so I had to bring food back home! I don't have complaints about the food. I just wish I had a larger stomach to enjoy it then and there! The The toastada mixta was gigantic... Fresh Mexican restaurant that in my opinion always delivers. I've been ordered from here for years, but I always order takeout. I never sat inside because the inside felt a little crowded, but I just went last week to pick up my order and GUESS WHAT?! they recently expanded the inside of their restaurant!There is so much more room inside and the employees who run the place are always so kind. Nice place! Super clean and very friendly staff! Food was good! I definitely would want to try dine in! I did take out and dine in guest has complimentary chips and salsa! They didn't give any for togos so I was a little bummed. Their wet burrito is good! I got both red and green sauce! The carne asada was a little dry, but everything else was delicious! Machaca breakfast burrito was really wet... you definitely need to eat it with a fork and a knife... and it didn't seem to have that much meat in it tho. Mostly bell peppers and onions which is good but not when your hubby was expecting a little more protein in it! read more

Las Palmas never disappoints! Service is friendly, food is delicious and served in generous portions. We had a group of 8 recently and all had something different. Fajitas were served sizzling hot and piled high, menudo is served every day and it was great, enchiladas were yummy, so many delicious choices! Food is not good. Service was ok. Ambiance was nice. The burrito my boyfriend got Sunday morning had dry beans and very dry carnitas. The albondigas I ordered had WAY TOO MUCH ONION chopped in the broth it was terrible- add yerbabuena like it's supposed to be and don't think that onion is the key to flavor, it is NOT! Amazing portions and presentation. This is our "go to" place for Mexican food in San Dimas. Owned & Operated by Mexican family. Every plate is delicious. In these days when eating out is so pricy it's refreshing to get fresh and abundant meals. To the person that complained about Las Palmas being pricy , consider cooking at home our recent trips to drive thru fast food for a family of 4 is $50-60 dollars a pop. So, we're always on the hunt for a GOOD Mexican restaurant around this area, and I think we finally found our go to spot!!!! Doesn't seem like too much cause it's just in s little strip mall, but I promise it's good!!! The guacamole was excellent, I know u can't tell from the picture but the tostada salad was very large and had just the right amount of everything!!! Will definitely be going back to try more. I used to love going here. Everyone is really nice. However, today I placed a phone order (first time ordering over the phone. We usually dine in). On the phone I said to not put cilantro on my enchiladas due to ALLERGY. I repeated it just to make sure. Got home and it was filled with cilantro. I immediately called back letting them know and the girl told me to come, bring it back and she can refund me. I had just arrived home and didn't want to drive all the way back, especially since it was close to closing. The lady on the phone said she can't do anything unless I bring it back. Because it was late and I didn't want to drive back down there I'm out of money. I wish places would take it serious when someone says they have an allergy. Very disappointed and unfortunately will no longer eat here. read more

The food was amazing. The birds quesadillas were so yummy! The guacamole was great. We got chicharrones and it came with guacamole good to know since we also ordered a side. That was the only let down. The server didn't inform us that we basically double ordered guacamole the ribeye steak was great. Lots of flavor. The chicken Milanese salad was great too. Food was very tasteful, and excellent service. The coffee was delicious and the waitress mentioned it had a bit of cinammon in it. I ordered the red chilaquiles which had great flavor and so did the beans. Growing up eating Mexican breakfast everyday I judge all places heavily but this place did not disappoint. I think they can make their salsa and chips a bit more fresh but other than that satisfied and would definitely come back again read more

This place is right next to World Market. I came here with my husband one morning for breakfast burritos. The inside was lovely with families and plenty of tvs. We ordered through their website and the wait wasn't long. The burritos were pretty big so I was happy since they were $16 each. I wish their salsa was spicier, it was very mild and the burrito definitely needed something to push through the heaviness of a chorizo breakfast burrito. The burrito was good but not evenly layered, the bottom was a big chunk of cheese. I probably won't be back for breakfast burritos but maybe I'd be willing to try their other food items since the staff was nice and the inside seemed pleasant. read more

Chile Verde burrito and the Chile Relleno. I don't think we have ever once been disappointed the quality of the food it always top notch. Always hot and packed with flavor!! This is my go to for pozole delivery! I actually have never been to the location In person. I remember them when I need a hang over pick me up. They do such a great job with the packaging on the soups! I always get pozole and my husband the menudo. read more

I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. The flour tortillas were perfect, and I also got a pineapple agua fresca. it was ice cold and so refreshing. The price was really reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised this place isn't more popular. I can see it being a hit so, definitely, I'll be coming back soon!

I was most surprised by the amount of beef tendon. In fact, I asked for a side of fish sauce to dip the tendon lol. On my second visit, I built my own phở bowl ($17.48). You get a choice of 3 meats, so I chose wagyu steak, wagyu eye round, and brisket. I thought the meat quality was great. The broth, on the other hand, was having an off night I think. It had a very strong star anise flavor and the broth could have use a little skimming. And Broth offers a variety of interesting phở variations that I'd like to try. I like that there are so many different Vietnamese dishes umbrella-ed under one establishment. I'll definitely be back.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. I would like to start of by saying I've been here 2 times and it never fails me! Every time I come back is always better than the first!! Service/ food I came in with my family this time and we tried something new! Thanks to Ana for recommending us the molcajete with steak, chicken, shrimp, fish, and the sauce has calamari in it, cactus cheese, etc. Comes with you're order of tortilla and you're side or rice and beans!! We made a return visit to Las Palmas, and once again, they did not disappoint! The customer service was just as amazing as before--our server Maria took excellent care of us with her warm and attentive service. This time, we enjoyed the delicious menudo, flavorful tacos de birria, mole wings, and perfectly spiced red chile chicken enchiladas. Did not know this place existed, but glad I found it!!! Everything in the menu looks delicious! I was unsure between the pork belly tacos or the torta ahogada "specials they had that day!"but they had no ahogas so I went in for some pork belly tacos! Best pork tacos ever, I mean it. Another thing bathrooms were super clean which is a big plus!! Waitress Ana was super friendly, welcomed us with a great smile, and gaved the best service!
