Bestie & I had brunch date here a few weekends ago. It's beautifully decorated, but too crammed in! The chairs at the tables are too big and people can barely walk by without hitting the next seat, you can barely scoot back in your chair without hitting the person behind you, not a place for a large group! Fantastic brunch spot! I came here with my family on a weekday and we loved everything we got! The passion fruit agua Fresca is a must! So yummy! My toddler and I were fighting over it, lol! Prices on the menu should be what you're charged, per weights and measure's policy. Menu states to add egg to the chilaquiles plate it's $2.00 and to add carnitas it's $4.00, in actuality I was charged $3.00 for the egg and $6.00 for the carnitas which was the price for the steak on the menu. 3. The ceiling fans were on full speed and made the environment unpleasant because everyone was complaining that their eyes were stinging and drying out and not to mention makes your food get cold fast. 4. The music, which was good but super loud, had us practically shouting in order to have a conversation. In conclusion I would try this place one more time. Our server Lia recommended the steak and she did not steer us wrong. She was personable, efficient, fast.. we loved her. The appetizers and dessert? Eh. We barely touched them. Lattes were good but a little on the sweeter side for our taste. Lavender latte and hazenut hot lattes- get it half sweet. Total was about $120 before tip. For that price, I don't think the full coursed experience was worth it but we still had a great time. Bonus points because the chef/owner came out to greet tables. Small detail, big impact. Definitely a great hidden brunch spot in the SGV!!! When you first walk in, you'll see the restaurant is decorated in the cutest decor! It's a small spot but it's definitely worth waiting for. Okay... my wife took me and our fam to a birthday brunch. I didn't know where. I just said surprise me. And, we show up at Mamimosas. I was one of the few guys in the restaurant obviously because they target women and Mimosas. So, of course I had to add the bad dad joke when the waitress came - she presumed it was Gwen's birthday and I said no, it's 'Dadimosas' birthday. My kids cringed. That said, I didn't mind. I love exploring new places to eat so we all decided on what to eat - with some helpful suggestions from our sever. She was friendly and attentive and service overall was spot on. She recommended the empanadas so we stayed with that while ordering drinks. I went with the traditional breakfast while Hayley got the salmon bagel, Cole got pancakes, Nolie got a salad, and Gwen ordered an omelet. I also ordered the Yuca as a side! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. My only piece of advice was give us more space. We were crammed in a corner table but the whole role next to us was empty. It definitely felt mom and women focused. I wouldn't go with a guy friend or for work, but I can see Gwen going to meet friends. And I'd go with family again. We ordered the coconut french toast and it came with no coconut flakes (see photo) and the table next to us was upset because they ran out of jam for the toasts. I ate brunch at Mamimosas with three longtime friends from high school today, and I must say that the $17 House Breakfast dish that I ordered was pretty good! It consisted of two poached eggs, four smoked sausages, two grilled toasts and potato slices with dressing. Pretty delicious! The server who waited on us was very courteous, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was very relaxed. Most of the patrons (including one of my friends) clearly consisted of employees who wanted to grub at this Latin American joint before heading back to work. And I'm not surprised! Mamimosas is a great place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch if you need to find a restaurant that serves delicious food while you're on a one-hour break.
