I gave this place couple tries but it didnt work out as planned.. i am usually not a person who would rate any business this bad. The first time i tried their burrito, after eating a little bit i had to throw it away, completely a waste of money, this was when they opened up like brand new. Then i tried their other dish, it was okay. Then after a while i ordered chicken casadia, can you imagine there was raw white and black meat sticking with the casadia. I had to throw the whole meal again. Then i went in their couple days ago just because my friend was starving and we were in that shopping center getting her car fixed so decided to give it a try again. My last and final mistake.. So i ordered my food from the menu but i was actually charged more than what they had it in that menu. When i ask her she said we haven't changed the menu's yet but have changed the prices. Are you kidding me, why would you charge more without letting your client know before youvtake their order. And lastly worst communication ever. They need to hire someone who can take the orders correctly because she got our order wrong. So overall worst experience ever. Because no one can stop me eating Good Mexican food. read more

Every time I've been here, with the exception of last time, everything has been perfect. The food is always amazing and customer service is fantastic. Of course, no business is perfect. This last time we arrived at a busy time. Our order was not taken correctly. I think the kid taking our order was new. When Cecilia realized the error, she worked to rectify it. It was a bit of a hassle and I did end up eating over an hour after arriving and over 30 minutes after everyone else at my table had eaten. They still deserve 5 starts, especially because of Cecilia. If she isn't the owner or manager, she deserves a promotion and a raise. One bad day does not change how delicious and authentic their food is or how wonderful their customer service is. This place looks like the topical little Mexican joint. Their advantage is their food is very fresh. They have the basic Mexican dishes but with a twist in that they also have scrimp as a meat choice. I recommend their sopes, corn shell is very good and toppings are fresh. They have a salsa bar that is great, one kind of brown salsa I have never seen anywhere else. It's got a great flavor and is very spicy, try it for sure. Prices are good, place looks clean and has in door and patio seating. It is in a little strip mall and by a busy street so ambience is not the best and that is why they loss a star. read more

Was in good old Chico and wanted a burrito for a late lunch, checked Yelp and there it was, 4.5 stars less than a mile away. I went in scanned the menu and got a regular shrimp burrito ordered spicy. The ladies working there were so nice and they recommended the orange sauce in the salsa bar, GOOD RECOMMENDATION! The burrito was amazing, so flavorful and loaded with shrimp. The orange salsa was incredibly flavorful. I also got the mango pineapple agua fresca and that too was fresh and delicious. I live in the bay area and this little taqueria in Chico could go up against almost all of them no problem, even in the mission. What happened in Chico, when I went to school here there was only 2 or 3 taquerias worth my time, but now days they are so many amazing. read more

This place is amazing! Their nachos had fresh ingredients and they were full of flavor. We all enjoyed their salsa bar and it made it more fun to experiment with the flavors. We had their burrito supreme as well, and their meat was very tender (both the carne asada and pastor). Their mangonadas were the best version that I have ever had. This place is legit! I worry about any Mexican restaurant trying to compete in the same shopping center as Casa Ramos. Authentic is the word I would use to describe Las Tapatias. They serve the Best sopes I've ever had ON GOD! It was my first time trying this restaurant and I would definitely recommend others to try it. I would've posted a picture of the food but I finished it lol. Portion size is great not to much but also not to little. Tonight was my first time there. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was inside. The guy at the counter was friendly, and helped me with menu questions. I ordered to go, and the food didn't take long. We got pastor tacos, asada tacos, shrimp tacos, and a quesadilla. The portion sizes were fair for the price, and food was good. read more

I would give 4-5 stars because they do have good food there, but didn't really feel comfortable getting takeout there since they're still doing indoor dining and customers not wearing masks. 5 stars is honestly not enough. This restaurant is a mixture of fabulous, authentic Mexican dishes and such a fantastic staff. My fiancé and I pre-ordered a huge order of pork and chicken tamales, and two huge tubs of rice and beans for a family get together. Everyone raved because it was over the top good! Seriously the BEST service (we ordered just the day before) and they brought out our huge order hot and ready to eat! The tamales are full of fresh meats with a sauce to drizzle over the top. YUM!! Their salsa bar is a great highlight and SO good! An amazing meal, a friendly atmosphere, good prices and exceptional service! Cute lil place that we almost missed. Looks like it is part of the check cashing place, so we thought this place was no longer in business. I was happy I noticed the colorful umbrellas in the patio or we would had driven to a different taqueria! I knew a check cashing place would not have umbrellas in a patio LOL! We decided to eat here tonight due the the good reviews. Honestly I am not understanding what the hype is about. The Carne Asada is not good, it reminded me of flour coated Carne Asada with over cooked onions and no flavor, The bean & cheese burrito was amazing because when our granddaughter cut it in half the runny beans poured out leaving a limpy empty flour tortilla that was tasteless, They forgot my wifes chilli verde burrito and when she got it it was time to go so we brought it home and it wasn't chilli verde, not sure what it was, it did have some taste but we have no clue what it was, our other granddaughter had chicken enchiladas and she said it wasn't bad but it wasn't like the enchiladas at our favorite place in the Almond Orchard. The rice, beans, chips and salsa are just eh, but the food is always very flavorful and fresh-tasting. I have been multiple times over the last year and have not had a bad experience or tasted an entree that I didn't like. So happy there's a good taqueria near my house now. My boyfriend and i shared the Tapatias burrito with pastor. It was so yummy and we were both full afterwards. Hands down the best Mexican place in Northern California. This is coming from a person that grew up with a Mom that made Mexican food everyday for dinner.
