Oh Suraya. You will see me again! Came here for brunch and had such a great meal. I ordered the…read moreSamke Harra (branzino fillet) and Halabi Kabab (lamb kababs) from the Taste of Suraya menu. Both were really good, and the portions are generous enough that I actually had food left over to take home. After you place your order, you get a spread of hummous, baba ganoush, labneh, muhammara and taboule. All five were delicious. My personal favorites were the baba ganoush and muhammara. One thing to know is that the amount of spreads you get is based on your party size, and they don't keep bringing out more once you finish them, like they do at LaserWolf. If you're a carb lover like myself, go easy on the homemade pita (so good!) and order a side of the za'atar manoushe. And the Lebanese chai latte? Perfection! I'd come back just for that. If you've been to LaserWolf, Suraya has a similar flavor profile and some similar spreads, although you get five spreads here. The biggest difference is the way the food is served. Unlike Zahav or LaserWolf, where dishes are constantly coming out to the table, Suraya is more about fewer dishes with larger portions. Personally, I really enjoyed that style because it felt like a satisfying, full meal. Service was efficient and attentive. A couple of tips: make reservations because this place can definitely get busy. Also, parking can be a pain, so plan ahead. Take the closest parking spot you can realistically handle walking from because trying to find something within a block or two of the restaurant can be difficult. Overall, really good food, generous portions, great flavors, and definitely worth coming back to.

Was excited to try the Manti, after seeing it in all the reviews - very small dumplings with a meaty filling that is paired with a tangy yogurt sauce. But the real star was the Filet Mignon Steak Kebab - the pieces at the bottom of the kebab were more cooked but still tender, but the top pieces were perfectly cooked medium well. We got complimentary Dubai chocolates at the end of our dinner which was a nice touch. BYOB with no corkage fee!

The meal for two was $66 now $100. Yet when we were all set and done, our bill was just over $100. I probably should've listened to my wife and order that instead. We started off with the Manti dumplings and broth, unfortunately, they were overcooked, dry and some had burnt skin. but when we pointed it out, the server didn't see anything wrong with it, maybe that's common for them, but that's not how we normally experience Manti at other restaurants Next, I had the chard octopus it wasn't charred. It's a nearly room temperature plate. I love octopus so for me it worked, but it wasn't what maybe I recalled. Then we shared a lamb kebab plate and added a chicken Shawarma skewer, lamb was tough, overcooked. Overall the meal missed delivering that wow factor. No more for us. Many other places to try.
