Came with a friend who frequently comes for nails and feet. Our appointment was at noon. She and her husband have both had their pedicures completed and nails started while I still sit here. Clearly appointments mean nothing. Too many apologies and no action taken. Every five minutes they say it will be another five minutes. People have walked in since I've been sitting here (water had to be changed twice due to it getting cold) and have been seen immediately. Not a good experience. I've dried my feet and will be leaving with nothing done. To sit here an hour when my appointment was at noon is unacceptable. read more

I have been to The Lash and Nail Bar several times and on each visit I received The Heavenly Pedicure. On each previous visit this service has indeed been just as its name implied but not on my most recent visit. On my most recent visit I was given a male tech who never bothered to introduce himself and made it abundantly clear that he was much more interested in watching the football game that was airing on the salon t.v., than providing a quality, peaceful, relaxing spa experience that I had paid for. I would've loved to have peacefully and quietly soaked my feet in a basin of warm water before the pedicure began but my uncaring tech just turned on the hot water and walked away. The client next to me even commented on the steam rising from the hot water that made it impossible to put my feet in the basin. Some female employee came over and turned the cold water on and apologized. The male tech returned to my pedicure station after preparing the tray with needed items for the Heavenly Pedicure. The tech took out his pedicure implements from a tool box type container. The implements were not bagged in any way, just loose roaming around the "tool box". This leads me to believe that the implements were not auto claved in any way as the tech also returned them to the same box when he was finished with me which didn't take long as I will explain in the next paragraph. After the incident with the steaming water, I considered putting my shoes on and walking out as my tech just didn't seem to care. When the tech was using the questionably sanitary nail implements on my toe, in his attempt to remove perceived "toe jam" from my right big toe, the tech JAMMED the implement under my toe nail, I winced with pain and the moron did it again. I told him to forget it that I had had enough pain. The only reason I gave this establishment one star was due to the relaxing foot massage which was indeed heavenly as advertised. However the bliss was short lived. I had paid for an extra 15 minutes massage on my arms, shoulders and neck. When the tech started the massage on my right arm, he knocked over the glass containing my complimentary margarita which had been setting on the tray table on the right side of my pedicure chair. So the bliss of the foot massage was disturbed by the sound of shattering glass and the accompanying sweep up this entailed. The final insult was the craptastic toe nail painting. The tech hurriedly painted my toenails. Between colored coats of polish the tech applied some clear oily type polish to my toenails. The Lash and Nail Bar doesn't have the drying lights for feet that many other salons have. You are expected to sit and wait for your toenails to dry. The tech didn't even bother to put my feet in any flip flops, I had to ask for them. I sat and waited for 20 min. knowing that my toenails wouldn't be dry but I left anyway. I walked to a nearby restaurant in the same shopping centre and ate dinner while I waited for my toenails to dry. An hour and 15 minutes later as I was getting in my car, you guessed it, I hit a toenail that still wasn't dry after the oily gunk that was put on my toes between coats of polish. So 75.00 plus tip and I still don't have professionally painted toenails. Another beef with The Lash and Nail Bar is that they do not have hooks on the backs of the pedicure chairs to hold one's purse. Nothing like setting a several hundred dollar Michael Kors bag on the nasty floor. Yes, I could've placed it on the tray table but it most likely would've fallen over not to mention the tray table had visibly sticky gunk on it. No discount was offered for this horrendous and most unprofessional service and neither was an apology. I sadly thought I had found my salon of choice but I was wrong. What a waste of money, the Lash and Nail Bar of Plano, NEVER AGAIN! read more

Me and my co worker visited here last Monday around 7:30. 30 minutes before they close.. As we arrived it was nothing but all smiles and happy faces to greet us and welcome us in. I got a pedicure and gel nails. Must I say that Cindy did a GRAND job. My nails were perfect and shiny. Not only did my nails look good, she was so much fun to talk to the entire time. By the time we were finished it was 8:30. Thirty minutes past their closing time. I felt awful for making them stay but they were more than happy to make sure I was pleased with their service! Love this place, will be recommending to every one and will be returning here often as long as I stay in Plano. read more

Jenny does an awesome job with brow waxing and is my go to for this service! They also do a pretty good job with Nexgen. I've been going to this salon for the last year and only had a couple of "run-ins" with filler (non-permanent) staffers but typically a regular employee has helped them along if we had a disagreement about little details. The only thing I'm beginning to not like is they've begun putting plastic bags to line the basin of the pedicure tub. Now if you're a germaphobe you may love this. However, if you're like me and like the soothing massage of the water jets, you'll be displeased that you won't get that amenity. That being said, they do a good pedicure/foot massage and use good polish so it will last some time! Prices are pretty typical and they have complimentary beverages. Hope this helps! read more

Don & Mia are not only sweet & accommodating, but are very concerned about your experience. I get solar french nails with tips. Look natural (never, ever thick because they take great pride in that.) Clean, hygienic & top quality products used. I usually get blisters from normal salon's no lift products, but not here. I went up to Plano today to run some errands and decided to wait out the traffic by getting a mani/pedi. Looked on yelp and found this little gem. Super clean and incredibly friendly staff. I did a gel manicure and it looks amazing. I opted for the "deluxe" pedicure and am not disappointed. Hot oil, exfoliating scrub, cucumbers on my legs wrapped in hot towels, callous removal AND a paraffin wax for $38! My feet are happy happy and my toes look great. They use OPI products, have a good selection of TV programming happening and the overall mood is happy, fun, and relaxed. Oh, they also have wine, margaritas, and daquaries. My gel manicure was ruined by a) the amount of space left between my cuticles and nail bed and b) the crooked shape in which they were filed. Update: Want to provide an update. The owner, Don, messaged me almost immediately after my original post. He let me know that the individual who did my nails was new. Don apologized and asked that I give the salon another chance; he offered to do my nails for free. After figuring out a time that worked with my schedule, I went and had dip powder done by the owner; I was impressed that he offered to do my nails himself. He did a great job and was very gentle, which I appreciated after my last experience. He took his time shaping my nails making sure I got the shape I desired. The powder/color was a little patchy (a result of the product not his work), and he kept working on my nails to correct it while ensuring they didn't get too thick and unnatural looking. Updating this from 1 to 4 stars because of the service and attention I received this time. Original Post: Yesterday, I broke my nail and needed to get my nails done ASAP since it was hurting so much. My normal salon couldn't fit me in last minute, so I looked up places near me and decided to go Lash Nail Bar because of the great reviews it had. Had I know what a horrid experience it was going to be, I would've bared the pain of my broken nail and waited till my normal salon could fit me in. One of the men did my dip powder set, unfortunately, I don't know his name. He built up the powder way too high on all my nails and wasn't able to properly use the drill bits to drill the excess powder off and shape the nails to look more natural. While he was using the metal drill bit, he kept nicking the skin around my nail. I left the salon unhappy with the shape of my nails and the skin around my nails in pain. I called the salon later that day and said I was unhappy with shape and would like it fixed. I went in later in the day thinking another technician would fix my nails, but it was the same guy. I asked him if someone else could do it, as he has really hurt my skin with the nail bit. He said no one else could work on my nails as he had already taken my money. I asked him to be more careful this time. He used the sanding bit, but continued to nick the skin around my nails. The skin on all my fingers was so red and burnt at the end and is still hurting today. This man should not be doing any sets that entail him to use a drill; he has a complete lack of precision or care for the clients. Me and my two girlfriends have been to so many places looking for somewhere that can take care of three people's needs at once. I was in Plano for work and needed to get my nails done. This place was super close to the hotel and a colleague visited the previous day and was happy. They did a great job on my nails and used fresh tools which was SO refreshing. The price wasn't astronomical either which was a pleasant surprise. I feel like it's difficult to find an affordable salon that uses fresh tools anymore which is mind boggling to me. I thought this salon was clean and that the service was great. The salon is pretty big and everything looked rather new. I got a manicure here and I thought the price was very reasonable and maybe even less than a few other local place. My cuticles looked good afterwards, and the paint job was great - which is, like, the most important part of the manicure. You know when a manicurist is skilled based on how they paint. Anyways, got a great paint job that reached the cuticle and covered the entire nail. It's been a week and the polish still looks good. I think they got a good top coat, which is also key!!
