I've been to multiple lash artists in the Bay Area and a high-end artist in Utah, but Adrienne is the best. First, she took me in for a fill when my other girl was busy (few artists will do a fill on someone else's work). And I liked her so much that I switched to her! She starts every appointment by removing the grown out lashes, then customizes your set to just what you want. I like a full look that isn't crazy long with a little extra length on the outside edges, cat-eye style. I've see other clients and know she can do a more dramatic look too. When I went to Utah for 6 months on a work assignment, she even gave me my "recipe" for lash curl and length so I could give it to my new artist. The biggest difference I find with Adrienne's work is the retention of lashes - I can easily go 3-4 weeks between fills, which is crazy. I don't wear heavy eye makeup every day but I do workout and get super sweaty frequently, so that's really impressive. In Utah, my artist was the most skilled at her studio but I needed a fill every two weeks. Adrienne is certainly not the cheapest lash artist in town, but given the quality of her work and how long I can go between fills, it's completely worth it to me. Nothing makes me feel prettier, even with a bare face in shleppy clothes, than a beautiful set of lashes. I get compliments all the time, and I love not dealing with mascara. Adrienne Spencer! No words can express just how amazing this lady here is! Very down to earth and so humble. After over-plucking since 1996, my eyebrows just wouldn't grow back right or even at all. I've been seeing this new microblading tattoo here-and-there on social media. A few months ago, a friend of mine got hers done and highly recommended Adrienne! So I did my research and no matter how many artists I come across near and far, I always found myself going back to Lash by Adrienne Spencer. Finally, I decided to book a consult with her and go from there. Her consult space and procedure place are both nice, cozy and clean. She explained everything thoroughly! She considers what her clients want and works with you. She also considers your skin type and how the color will react according to your skin type. She's very precise and will not stop until her work is as perfect as it can get. She's very sterile and good in keeping her hands clean before she works on you. Mapping eyebrows takes longer than the actual procedure-- only because she works on it until it's close to perfection. The actual procedure went smoothly, and the pain was tolerable (I'd say a 5/10 but reached to 8/10 at some points). Breaking the skin to prep you for the numbing cream was the most painful. It felt like 5 tweezers pulling at your hair hard simultaneously. The microstrokes didn't hurt as bad, you can just feel the pressure and hear the blades going in on your skin. I'm fairly oily skin and I healed pretty good and the color blended with my skin really well. I went for the natural look and I'm in love with my brows. I don't have to worry about my brows coming off during hot weather, working out or while swimming! As long as you follow instructions prior to procedure and post procedure, you should be great! TIP: Use face wipes to clean your face that you don't require rinsing, at least the first 2 weeks. If you don't want your eyebrows to get wet in the shower, get some Saran Wrap and place over your eyebrows accordingly then take some waterproof medical tape secure the Saran Wrap in place. Lol. This worked wonders for me. Microblading tattoo is an art and trusting the artist is a major key. I knew I was in good hands just by seeing her work and seeing how she maps everything out and her certification in Phibrows and learning about her training was also a plus. Now I'm thinking of getting my lashes done. =) I highly recommend Adrienne!! She's amazing!! read more

This review is way overdue! I started getting my lashes done with Adrienne when I moved out to SF in 2018 and have been regularly getting my lashes refreshed with her ever since. I started out with almost volume extensions and eventually swapped to volume extensions. She's very meticulous with her lash work and is also great to chat with. I get compliments on my lashes all the time and couldn't be happier. I've actually cut back on a lot of makeup since I started seeing Adrienne. It's amazing how much having great lashes help with my overall look and confidence. A bonus is that I also have her thread my brows every other visit, so just know that's an option too. I recently got married and she made my lashes extra special for the occasion (see picture). Based on other people's lash extensions I've seen, I definitely think Adrienne's lash work is so much better. I came to Adrienne over a year ago, wanting that new natural microblade look, a bit of a challenge because I had undergone permanent make-up procedures previously to cover the parts of my eyebrows that had never grown back when I had overplucked as an inexperienced young teen. The permanent make-up had faded and was also much thinner than the current trend for brows. I was having to fill them in daily to get the shape I wanted, and they of course had to be solid. Ask anyone I know how much I hated having to do this daily. It became something I resented and struggled to get right everyday. Adrienne gave me many choices and once we picked a path, she then worked with me in sessions to remove the permanent make-up and finally provided me with the microbladed look I wanted. You know what I am talking about - the look that makes you go I don't think they are real but maybe they are because they look so natural! I am Chinese so enough said about my lashes. A little more detail: I first visited Adrienne in the end of 2021 for permanent makeup on my brows. After a consultation, explaining to and showing me all the different options, and answering all of my questions, Adrienne helped me decide that powder brows would give me the look I was after - so I took the plunge. I'm not gonna lie - it's terrifying letting someone basically tattoo your face, but Adrienne made me feel so comfortable with the process. She is so precise, a perfectionist in the very best way, and she is not done until you are 100% happy. Reader, these brows are SO much better than I even hoped for. After that, of course I had to go for the lashes right? Adrienne recommended almost volume lashes and I (thinking I always know better) thought I would end up wanting more, but of course she was right. After a long day of work, and little lashes left because sometimes I wait too long between appointments, Adrienne provides an intimate, positive and relaxing environment with words of wisdom on the walls and old school RnB music playing, bringing back memories of the early 90's. Oh and the bed... it is so comfortable, you just sink in and want to sleep. I really need that bed in queen size at home. If you get there early and have to wait a bit. There is hot cocoa and Werther's candy in the business lobby. Whole foods is up the block, Market and Rye is around the corner and its a quick 5-7 minute Uber ride from my office and free shuttle to CalTrain (check times). Micro-blading Service Adrienne microbladded my eyebrows in November 2015. The process is a bit long, so plan to be there for 3-4 hours. I didn't mind because I understand that Adrienne is a perfectionist and beauty and perfection takes time. It also hurts, even with numbing cream. Don't have any caffeine or alcohol before your appointment as it can make you more sensitive. For me the pain is bearable. I've previously had tattoos and given birth. So this is a walk in the park. My eyebrows were already dark and full to begin with, but Adrienne shaped them and made them look fuller and more defined. My new brows really compliments my face. I went back for a touch up 6 weeks after to fill in any missed spots. As I am writing this review, it's now been 8 months and all I do is tweeze, trim and clean for maintenance.
