Celebrate a 50th Birthday party on Saturday. The venue outside was awesome. It was cool beautiful with the trees. Table were set up for ustable cloths. I really wanted to like this place ! I've driven past it for years and always said we should have dinner there. We finally pulled the trigger for Father's Day. We were very disappointed. The amount of salt used on our steaks was ridiculous. We would have sent them back, but our server was very busy (not her fault), so we didn't see her much. My son and I both scraped the top and bottom of our steaks to get the excess salt off. Every bite of steak had to be accompanied by some other item to lessen the impact. We visited the Lassen Steakhouse and we have mixed reviews about our meals. The Rib Eye was excellent but the sides were less to be desired. The loaded baked potato wasn't so loaded and was dry. The Chicken Alfredo sauce - also was not what it could have been. However, the most concerning aspect of your meal is that - cost aside, the costumer service was lacking. We ordered several appetizers prior to the meal. The used utensils, plates and service baskets remained on our table throughout our meal which created an uncomfortable environment. In addition, our drinks were rarely refilled. Understandably there are challenges facing small businesses these days, however, when your spending over $300 you would think service would be a little better. read more

Went to Lassen steakhouse with my partner and was blown away by the quality of food and the amazing service! We made reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly. AJ was our server but all the waitresses helped out whenever possible, especially Shelly she kicked butt!! I was sad that there was no more prime rib left which is what I was excited for but I understand the risk/reward of cooking too much prime rib. I am glad they were able to sell out of it (but wish I was able to get a slice lol). We got some of their BBQ wings to start off as an appetizer and they were decent size wings and the sauce was very good. I settled with a 16 oz New York strip with Brussels sprouts and a baked potato. The steak was cooked medium to perfect temperature, Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, baked potato was good too just added a little pepper to it and it made it even better. My partner had the shrimp scampi with asparagus and she loved every bite of it. This meal was affordable for a high quality steakhouse!! What blew me away was the owner coming to talk to every table before they paid to make sure everything went well and if there was anything he could fix before we pay. A classic has returned and are doing it right! Seven of us dined here for my husband's birthday celebration April 23rd. We were fortunate to have Fenton as our server. He was beyond phenomenal! We all got steaks of different sorts, and one guest enjoyed amazing prime rib. The rib eye, cooked to a perfect medium rare was delicious. They even celebrated my hubby's special day with a fantastic cheesecake topped with a fun, interactive pyrotechnic candle! We also enjoyed the Mac and cheese bites which were fun, spicy and crispy! Had dinner there tonight and i was pleasantly surprised. There were three of us and we ordered steaks and one prime rib. The meat was cooked as ordered and was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly, not over cooked but tender crisp. I loved that there were cloth napkins and table cloths. The service was a little slow but it has not been open long and everybody is working hard to get everything right. The only flaw in the,evening was the rolls with dinner, they were under cooked and doughy in the middle. The waitress scooped them up and brought us perfectly cooked one quickly. All and all a wonderful meal and at a reasonable cost. We will be back soon. read more

My steak was the perfect medium and seasoned just so - I eat a lot of steak, so know a good one when I taste one, and this was high quality meat for the price. Out back there's what looks to be a magical outdoor event space. I walked through at dusk, in the gloaming of a January evening. I could imagine music, lights and the delectable scent of smoked meats. The sky was painted peach and cream - it was very pleasant. This place is a little out of the way and as such, you should drive to it. If you're just happening by, you should stop. The delightful pond venue will be terrific for Weddings and family reunions. Our dinners were cooked to order with a nice presentation. Most importantly they tasted amazing. First off...food was amazing! Gives 5th St Steakhouse a run for their money, high fives all around to the back of the house. Like someone else posted, their hostess could use some guidance or help. My husband called and made a reservation on the voicemail as instructed. Never heard back stating there was an issue, so we assume we are good to go. 21st anniversary dinner and walking in the door we were met with a flustered hostess telling us she did not have time to get through all of the requests. We got there early to have a few drinks at the bar and my husband asks her to please let us know if she can fit us in. She can't get us a table, so we are told we can eat at the bar. No big deal....except there are two different 2-top tables that sit empty through 90% of our meal. No effort to accommodate, no apology for the miscommunication....it would probably be better to have a more experienced employee up front. We asked the bartender who said they have been busy and recommended only making reservations on their website from now on. read more

So my daughters rehearsal dinner was supposed to be tonight at 5pm. Somehow they didn't have her reservation even though there was multiple emails between the manager and my daughter. They didn't even try to accommodate the dinner for 25 people that drove to the restaurant. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to have a large gathering or reservation. We have been there a couple of times now. Filet is best, New York good, I won't do the ribeye again. Great service, great rolls. Salad can use a bit of help, cut up the greens please and use fresh. Biggest issue is with the sides. Baked potato is always under cooked, please cook them longer. Cold too. Mashed potatoes were cold. Brought them home and microwaved them for lunch. Not bad if you like a noisy restaurant. We went for my son's birthday as soon as they opened at 4:00. The whole restaurant was very loud and we couldn't carry on a conversation. The food was good, but my son's prime rib was not trimmed at all and had lots of fat. Those are the only complaints. They had good home baked rolls, the asparagus was crunchy tender and the onion rings were dipped in beer batter and were delicious. My prime rib was perfect at medium well. It was tender and delicious. We decided on a four because of the noise level and the excess fat on his prime rib. Price was not excessive. Be sure to make a reservation.
