As of 2024, after moving to Los Angeles, I still go back to Late Nite Hackensack every time I'm in the New York City / New England region. It's just such a great stop, such a great hang, with such great food. The owner and his family are fantastic people who love their customers. Their staff is the same. This is the quintessential Jersey hang. Their wings are phenomenal. Their pizza varities incredible and tasty - and if you just go for the basic cheese or pepperoni you'll still feel you got an unusually great pie. Their shakes are top notch. The vibe is fantastic - locals pour in, people come in after concerts or big events because it's open so late... it's just a blast hanging at Late Nite... and make sure to ask to play the "number game" after you finish your meal. read more

Disappointed after my last order last night. Barely any cheese. The middle was so soggy it could not be picked up like a slice of pizza and the worst part was the shoved a large pie into a medium box. It was all crumbled and smushed. Not good for a $33 pie! DEAR ALL *CHEESESTEAK* CONNOISSEURS... you will never have a better cheesesteak than at this hole in the wall food joint! Yes, I said it!! Come and prove me wrong! When you have real sliced meat, and NOT those paper thin chopped up steak meat... marinated in a special blend, I believe it has some Worcestershire sauce in the mix. This cheesesteak is off to a great start. Then add caramelized onions and portobello mushrooms to the pan and throw a good amount of melty american cheese to complete this dish... HEAVEN! But wait... they use a soft semi sesame style hero roll to soak up all the lovely juices, AND add horseradish sauce, you are in for a wild experience that even your taste buds will drool over. I like to put that horseradish sauce on the side so it doesn't take away from my cheesesteak experience and I can dip freely and heavily at will. This place has more to offer, but it is always the cheesesteak I keep coming back for. And, over the years it hasn't changed one bit! Consistency, flavor and the right ingredients make this a GREAT eat! Plus, the meat quality is always on point. It's not chewy, not tough and not fatty. You are getting your money's worth for sure. It was late and most places are closed so we decided to finally try Late Night :D. Glad we did. We ordered the Meat Lover Pizza and an Antipasto. Next time will have to get a sandwich and wings. Pizza is really good! Eddie and Tony were friendly and the place brings back so much nostalgia with all the album covers covering the ceiling and walls. And the music rocking in the background while we waiting for the freshly made pizza. $1 surcharge for using credit card. It's pretty difficult to find a late night food spot in this area but this place definitely comes to the rescue! Ordered the grandma, sausage and mushrooms, and an extra cheese. The grandma was pretty good and loaded with tomatoes. The mushroom and sausage was pretty good because parts of the sausage had crisped up. However parts of the crust felt a little burnt and did not have a lot of tomato sauce. The extra cheese slice was my least favorite it tasted like day old pizza sprinkled with fresh mozzarella. This is definitely not where you go for a gourmet pizza experience but it's a good place to get rid of late night munchies! read more

Checked in to my Teaneck hotel a little late this evening, looked up late night pizza delivery, and Hackensack was at the top. Didn't even have a chance to glance at the menu, but the person over the phone answered all my questions thoroughly & even made recommendations. I was quoted an hour wait at precisely 1am. I ordered a large meat lovers pie & an order of 10 buffalo wings. I also called in 10 minutes later to request bleu cheese and Parmesan/red flakes, and they said they'd add it no problem. The delivery guy was at my hotel room door in approximately 41 minutes. They ran my card right at the door over the phone and I gave the guy a fat cash tip. One of the easiest pizza delivery transactions I've ever had. I highly recommend these guys for those late night cravings. The food was hot and delicious. read more

This is the place to go after a night of drinking. The first couple of times I came here I wondered if it was the alcohol that convinced me the pizza was delicious. But I've been here stone cold sober and still thought the pizza was tasty. You definitely don't need to be drunk to force it down. I like their specialty slices. My favorite was the sloppy joe slice. I only had it once and it was fantastic. Haven't seen it again since. Also, love their cheesesteaks. They put horseradish on them which adds a whole other layer of flavor. I wish the bread was a little thinner to balance out the cheesesteak to bread ratio. I've only ever dined in here. Never did delivery. It's small. Like 4-5 tables. The decor is very chill. Classic rock records line the ceiling, walls and shelves. This place definitely has character and the people who work here only add to overall relaxed vibe. Would you like to spend your night with your head in the toilet? Look no further! I truly do not enjoy giving anyone a negative review, but I just don't understand how someone could possibly f*** up this much. I ordered two slices of pizza, an order of meatballs, an order of garlic knots, and baked ziti. Where to even begin? My pizza was interesting. These slices were obviously made some time beforehand, which is not as issue, as we all know that pizzerias have pre-made slices on display. What confused me is the fact that they threw fresh cheese over the old slice, which resulted in twice the amount of oil. I'm not sure what was worse, the fact that my slices were fully saturated in grease, or the fact that my slices were burnt. Not just burnt, but carcinogenic. My slices were black. I'm not sure what would make anybody believe that these slices were acceptable to send out. My garlic knots were.....not garlic knots. I envisioned pizza dough tied into knots and glazed with the usual garlic infused topping-exactly what the name suggests and exactly what we all know what a garlic knot to be. I do not know what these were. I don't even know how to put it into words. The meatballs-I was immediately suspicious when I saw them. They were the size of softballs-way too large. Surely enough, I split them open, which proved my suspicions. Completely pink. Oh boy. Baked Ziti had the most disgusting amount of ricotta cheese in it, and had absolutely no flavor. The inch of melted mozzarella cheese that they made sure to include on top didn't make it any better either. I had unfortunately taken a few bites of the food (except for the meatballs that i did not touch) before disposing of the rest. This was the night before new year's eve. I woke up in the middle of the night. Didn't even make it into the toilet. Threw up into the sink. After emptying out the contents of my stomach, I returned to my couch, thinking it was over. WRONG. At least this time, I made it to the toilet. However, my stomach was empty at this point from my previous trip, so I agonizingly dry heaved over the toilet for some time. I did not realize that one could dry heave so violently. The pain went into the next day. The nausea lingered as well. I became sick when I ate every time. Being the optimistic person that I am, I saw this whole ordeal as being very symbolic. I was physically purging myself of all 2016. However, I would never wish this pain on anyone. Last night, around 1am I ordered two items and they got here in about 45 minutes. I got the cheeseburger pizza (added onions and tomatoes) and the tenders with fries. They were both SLAMMING! The pizza was crazy good; we have a hit here, you have to try it. I was impressed by the large number of rave reviews. When it comes to food, tastes vary so most restaurants get mixed reviews. Well, we gave it a try. No regrets. We ordered the Real Steak cheesesteak sandwich and a pepperoni pizza. I honestly can say it was the best cheesesteak I ever had. The sandwich just melted in my mouth. The steak was so tender and juicy. The combination of mushrooms, onions and cheese with just a hint of horseradish was perfect. The pizza was great. Lots of cheese, sauce and generous amount of pepperoni. The Thin crust is delicious. A good old fashioned gluten flour crust with the taste I remember from years back in NYC. Edges were crunchy and a little charred. Not critical, I like it that way. We ordered delivery over the phone. Eddie answered the phone and couldn't have ben nicer.
