I had a nice , slow start to my morning today so I started it off with some goodies from Latham Bakery. The inside has a cozy cabin feel to it, though certainly is on the colder side so make sure you have a cardigan, sweater or coat handy. I ordered their toffee nut latte with 2% milk and avocado toast. The total came out to $15 which blew my mind because the toast alone would cost that much anywhere else in Dallas. The toast was made with all fresh ingredients and was very filling. Even though I added everything bagel seasoning it still needed a bit more, so when I got home I added some chili crunch for extra oomph and it was perfect. The latte itself was just ok, pretty mild in terms of flavor...not sure if it was due to my milk or flavor choice as I normally order hazelnut lattes but wanted to try something different. Nonetheless I'm happy I came and look forward to returning, as they have so many other things I'd love to try.

When I tell you that you can blink and miss this place that's what I mean, lol! I was parking to go somewhere else and just happened to see this shop and go in. I wasn't disappointed! There's sooooooo many options to choose from! I got 2 sweet treats to eat later but the avocado toast definitely hit the spot for breakfast. They don't charge you for the toppings and the price for every item was great. I'll definitely go back.

Maybe its because jersey mikes cancelled my sandwich out of a group order so Im a bit mad I had to go get new food. But I am disappointed this is what panini bread is, in no world I would have expected this type of bread. I googled panini bread and this isnt what comes up. So just in case anyone else gets asked go with the sourdough so you get a real sandwich. I really Like this place but idk what this is

Exceded my expectations We ordered a birthday cake feeding 25-30 people it cost us $75 Other bakeries wanted to charge me $250 plus. Latham bakery hit all the check marks on what I wanted. The flavors of the cake were strawberry cake with lemon filling and vanilla butter cream. Communications with the bakery was really great also. If we ever need a cake again, we will order fr here again!

My family has been purchasing birthday cakes from Latham for years. Recently I noticed my MIL stopped buying cakes with them. I stopped in myself for a salad, pie, and a pastry. The salad was fresh but the chicken didn't taste the best. Not terrible but had a reheated taste eve though it was cold. The strawberry scone was good with fresh strawberry pieces however, the middle was doughy and undercooked. The pie was disappointing. The crust had a stale taste and the whipped topping was that oil based, fake stuff. I ended up throwing is away after a few bites. Overall, it seems quality has declined on many things but I would still return for a coffee or sandwich.

Good soup and sandwiches here! Had the pick 2, 1/2 chicken salad and poblano soup. Tasty!! All fresh ingredients! Also got an assortment of pastries and cheesecake, loved all! This was my first order . I ordered a Cobb Sandwich . I have enjoyed it in salad form from another establishment. The sandwich is nicely packed with bacon , boiled egg , ham, turkey , blue cheese , lettuce , tomato, mayo on wheat bread . I enjoy a thick sandwich with plenty of goodness . My friend and I came in for brunch and ordered the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough, spinach and goat cheese quiche, and cheese danish. Everything tasted amazing and made us both want to get some carrot cake and tea to-go with plans to come back. The staff was friendly and happy to offer advice on what the store has to offer. It's a great place to eat inside or outside, or just order to go. We would definitely recommend coming here for a tasty treat!

I always play Pokemon Go here and tend to do my walk around the downtown area. I always wanted to check out a place and eat here. I saw this place was rather busy on a weekend or weekday whenever I go. I saw some of the pictures and the menu and I saw Strawberry Pina Colada Creme. I ended up getting a large for $6.50, but $7 dollars with tax. I also saw all of the dessert and pastries that I really wanted to try, but I had to stop myself as I can see myself going overboard as after all I wanted to get the drink. The drink itself was a little bit pricey, however, it was definitely worth the price as this was one of the best drinks I ever had. My wife might say it was too sweet, but I loved it. I wish they did open a little earlier as I tend to leave the house by 6:30am

A big shut out to latham bakery! Celebrating mom's 80th birthdand these ladies we're so sweet and even sang Happy Birthday to her ! food was amazing.So was the staff highly recommend and we well be back!

First time trying this place out and the soup was delicious very flavorful! The muffin was mid. The carrot cake was a solid 9/10 the best out of the 3 desserts I got, the tres leches cake wasn't moist as it should be so I give it a solid 7/10 and the bar was a 5/10 it was so dry and tbh couldn't take the cinnamon it also had so much icing. The location is small so if yall plan on eating there good luck. One of the workers was a bit rude, but overall I would go again!

The young girls taking orders had horrible attitudes. They were sighing as if I was a bother. I was in the middle of ordering several things from the bakery and the one helping me walked off so I guess that was it for me! You can have the best bakes goods in town but if you are making me feel uncomfortable or not valued as a customer I will not return. UPDATE: the lemon blueberry bundt cake was extremely dry. Wish I had found this place sooner! Cute little spot in downtown Forney. It is small but they have a little seating inside and a few out front on the patio. Everything we've tried is so good. My husband loves the strawberry cake and I love the coconut cake. Brownies are moist and delicious! Looks like they serve breakfast and lunch too. I can't wait to go back! read more

Good day! Let me get to it. Let me be clear when I say I don't like playing the race thing because this is 2019 and no one should experience any type of racial bs at a restaurant. My wife and her cousin went to eat at this restaurant. They ordered like everyone else, paid like everyone else and sat down at a table like everyone else. The issue came when the food was ready. There were 3 other orders that had went before them and when the food was ready the other customers, the workers took the food to their table. BUT when my wife's and her cousin's food was ready they called her name out to come and get it at the window. Now this doesn't seem so bad other than the fact that everybody behind them got their food brought to their table. My wife waited for about 6 more people/couples to verify that this was happening. Yes it was, they brought everybody's food to them before and after. My wife feels like this was done because she is Black. Hell they were the only 2 Blacks in the place. I'm sure there will be some that think they over reacted, but most of you won't experience this because you won't go and visit a Black Resturant and if you did I would hope you are treated better than this. Oh the food.. Who cares, I am more upset at how my wife was treated in this place. NO ONE DESERVES THIS!!!!!! Hopefully this just happened at this place and does not represent all of Forney TX. I asked the manager to call me back to discuss this, but it hasn't happened yet and probably won't. But let me tell you now, keep your apologies and free food offers. You wouldn't give a hit-man a second chance and neither do we. read more

A 10 out of 10 will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town or just want to go for a drive!! Baybee when I say this place here is absolutely phenomenal. Usually when I go into a restaurant I always get a weird feeling that just is unsettling but I usually just order and leave but here I felt like I should have stayed and ate but I had work to continue. The customer service was 1000%, the young lady who helped me was patient, kind, and informative. I wish I would have gotten her name I just remembered she has hair like mine when I have it in a puff ball. She was helpful in getting the correct sandwich, was telling how delicious the bakery items where (which I ended up getting two) and I wanted to try a frappe. At first I thought I was getting an actual white chocolate drink but it did have mocha but I thought maybe like bits of it , but I was wrong and to my surprise it was really good especially since I'm not a fan of chocolate chocolate drinks. I love Latham Bakery. I usually go about 3 times a month. They have a great menu and if you call in your order, you can pick it up and they will bring it to your car. Melinda usually waits on me and she has the cutest personality. She is boisterous and funny and makes you feel welcomed. The desserts are good, especially the lemon pound cake. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich on the sourdough bread. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is our go to for fresh bakery goods and coffee, as well as a good hot tea selection. Lots of choices and always friendly staff. We typically will eat at Mothers Daughter's Diner across the street or crumbzz around the corner, and grab a couple of treats from Latham's to enjoy during the week. So freaking good!!! The brownie was fresh and bigger than my hand!! I also had the Poblano soup, it was literally the best soup I have ever had. It was AMAZING!! Sooo good! I wandered in on accident and I'm so glad I did. At first I thought it was more money than I wanted to spend for lunch but I could tell everything was fresh, homemade and had the best ingredients. Best coffee ever. That Maple Pecan coffee is amazing!!! Not only that, but their pastries are delicious and they have a great variety. My wife loves the chicken salad and their soups are SO good. I highly recommend this place every day of the week! I will definitely keep coming here. read more

Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

Great food, good service, friendly people. In response to Eric from Mesquite, my husband and I often go to Latham's. We are white and we are in our seventies. Occassionly when we go in they bring the food out to us. Most of the time, however, they ask for a name and call us to pick it up. I've kind of observed this and it has seemed to me that it often depends on the order, who's available at the time, and what's going on in the kitchen. We were in there yesterday and were called to pick up our order. I'm sorry your wife felt she was being discriminated against, but I honestly think it was a coincidence. This bakery was such a sweet little find--perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up! I had the chicken salad croissant, which was delicious. It was perfectly made with just the right ratios, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. I also ordered an Earl Grey tea, which was light and fragrant. To finish it off, I couldn't resist trying a snickerdoodle cookie (recommended by my server), and it did not disappoint--soft with slightly crispy edges, just the way I like it.
