The restaurant had a large menu and great staff that made our experience enjoyable. Everyone there seemed to really be enjoying themselves which made the ambiance quite lovely. One thing that I really noticed (and I think I noticed even more because I was sitting at the bar) was how servers and the bartenders spent a lot more time conversing with their friends (who were sitting at the bar) then checking in on some of the other people. The black coffee we ordered had the same taste and consistency of the coffee leftover at the bottom of the carafe after a boring All-Hands meeting... it was definitely strong! The unassuming name of "Cindy's Restaurant" sold us on this place and we were not disappointed. It was just the local breakfast joint we needed. When you first walk in the door you are greeted with the sound of many conversations going on - and not always contained to one table or booth. It is clearly a neighborhood favorite. Nice extensive menu with both American and Mexican dishes. My wife got what amounted to a Thanksgiving meal and I grabbed some breakfast enchiladas in green sauce. Both came out hot and tasted delicious. I barely finished mine and my wife took some of hers to go for second breakfast as we still had some traveling to do that morning. Both of us agree though - the next time we are in Turlock, CA we know where we will go for breakfast.
