I have been here a few times now and so far every visit has been an awesome one. I've done both dry cleaning and repairs here and everything comes back clean and well taken care of. For example, I basically live in my Vuori Sunday Performance Joggers, and since they're made from a soft and stretchy material, I wasn't sure if they could be fixed or patched up properly. But they handled it no problem and had them looking right again! Awesome people work here and the service is consistently solid. I am super happy with how kind and professional they are. Prices feel very fair, the turnaround is quick, and they always stick to their timelines that they give you. The shop itself is very clean and well kept, and you can tell they take pride in their work. I also like that each time my order is ready, I get a text notification so I don't have to guess or follow up. For now on, this place is my go-to for dry cleaning and alterations! read more

I've been coming to Laurel Cleaner's and getting my alterations done by Miga for the past 4 years, and I'm honestly surprised by the negative reviews! All of the clothes I've dropped off for cleanings/alterations have always come back perfect, with a quick turn around time too! Also, it's a family-owned business, so it's nice to see her working with her kids and how much they care about their customers :) Makes the trip a lot more enjoyable when everyone is so nice and professional! Got a few shirts cleaned and waited a week to pick up. When I went to pick up they were closed even though I showed up at the time given on the receipt. Went back a couple days later to pick up and they had not finished cleaning all the shirts despite coming back a couple days after the original pick-up date. read more

Just brought my silk curtains in for a major Fall clean and the Laurel team did a beautiful job. There were so nice. No drama, very professional, and environmentally-friendly. This past weekend I took two white shirts and a suit to Laurel Dry Cleaners. I was initially a bit disappointed as the shirts were not properly cleaned but they acknowledged the fact and offered to do a second wash for free. They came out perfectly clean. I brought a bride's maid dress here more than a month before the wedding and was told to leave it for three weeks. When I arrived to pick it up, it was not done. Nothing had been done on altering the dress- and it was a simple 2.5 inch shortening of the length. I was told to come back later, and did. When the alterations had been completed, I was in a hurry to get the dress and take it to get coordinating men's shirts (for the wedding), so I quickly tried it on and it appeared fine. However, when I had more time to try it on (just before leaving for the wedding- which was in NY), I noticed that the hem was COMPLETELY uneven. Not only was it uneven on, I hung it up and held the top straight and the front of the dress's hem hung about 2 inches longer than the rest of the dress. Needless to say, I had to find an immediate alterations location upon landing in NY and pay for alterations a second time just to avoid tripping on my dress in my sister's wedding. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the woman that does the alterations was very nice, and initially apologized that the dress wasn't complete on the originally set date. I will not be coming back here. read more

Sorry, I didn't have a good experience here. I left two pieces with them, one cotton, one leather. The leather wasn't cleaned at all, and the cotton was only halfway decently cleaned. They also forgot to call me back as promised, and generally had problems communicating because their english wasn't that good. There were two people working there: a young girl who seemed a bit clueless, and an older woman who kept telling her things in a language I didn't understand, which the young girl relayed to me. Just didn't seem like a professionally run 5 star business. At least they were friendly and didn't ruin any of my clothes. read more

After going to over 15, maybe 20, dry cleaners in the 15 years I have lived in SF, this one is the best. Miga is super nice, extremely skilled and competent, and offers reasonable prices. Her alterations and repairs are impeccable. Unlike every other dry cleaner in the area, she is also grateful for your business. I will not be going to the 1/2 star Locust Cleaners again. One more thing -- the laundry person that she uses for washing and pressing is also very good. Every time I got shirts back from Locust Cleaners, there were always cracked buttons or broken buttons and creases on the shirts. That has not happened even once in 30 washed and pressed shirts. read more

In my 52 years of life, I have never seen a dry cleaning service as bad as this one. I have a brand new white polo shirt, which I literally wore for one day and then immediately dropped off to this dry cleaner. My shirt came back dirtier than when I dropped it off. And all they did was leave a small note on the shirt that "it was the best they could do, and if they continued to try to clean it, they might destroy the shirt." My shirt was barely dirty when I dropped it off and yet they managed to make it dirtier in the end. I am beyond frustrated that there could be such a horrible and irresponsible dry cleaner. read more

They are not very friendly to visitors from out of town. I had to question the woman after she tried to charge me $50 for a small bag of laundry with no special care, 2 sweaters for dry clean as well as my request for 3 shirts to be hung on hangers? I live in NYC and never experienced such confusion with laundry. I drop off 25-30 pounds back home and it's 22$! They charged me $25 for 3 sweaters, 8.40$ to hang 3 collared shirts from laundry and on top of that they don't deliver to the hotel next door to them? Eeeek. Next time I come here I'll find a laundromat. read more

After reading the other 11 five-star reviews, I'm very happy to leave another! I'd been building up a pile in my closet of delicate items that needed to be cleaned. As cheap and relatively reliable as my local cleaner is, I didn't quite trust them with these pieces: a 1920s silk and lace dress with a large stain on the skirt from champagne that was spilled on me at last year's Gatsby Picnic (what a waste of good champagne) and three thrifted Hermes scarves with ancient and various stains. When I brought these items into Laurel Cleaners, I was immediately impressed that the woman who helped me marked every spot with tape and seemed to understand that the hems on Hermes scarves should not be pressed flat. When I got my ticket, I was even more impressed -- $23 total when Hermes had quoted me more than that to clean just one scarf. I picked everything up three days later and was so pleased. The dress was perfect! No sign of the stains and the delicate, old seams are still full intact. Two of the three scarves looked as good as new and while the third, which was the worst of all, still had a few spots on it, they attached a tag to the hanger apologizing for not being able to get everything out without damaging the scarf. While getting to Laurel Cleaners will mean a long walk or having to talk my husband into driving me, I'm going to take all my dry cleaning there from now on! read more

In addition to the best prices, she provided great advice for cleaning a leather jacket and sewed buttons onto a leather jacket with great expertise. The owner, Miga is there on Saturdays. She's friendly, smart, experience and speaks English. I have gotten jeans shortened there twice with original hem. She does beautiful work at reasonable prices. I absolutely love this place. They are always so friendly & kind. You could not ask for better care and personal attention at a dry cleaning establishment. It's like having a butler or personal valet. Not only is the laundry and dry cleaning service great, Miga also does a fabulous job on alterations, and her prices are probably a bit too reasonable. I have also salvaged some very precious wool sweaters from the dust heap by bringing them to her for invisible mending. She does it herself. Love, Love, Love this place! Miga and her staff are simply amazing. I've tried several cleaners in the neighborhood since we've lived in the area over 8 years and Laurel Dry Cleaners is the best. My drycleaning and laundry is done perfectly and she always gives me service with such a warm smile. Parking is a bear around here, but if she's available Miga will bring your cleaning out to you curbside - love that part. Plus, she takes credit cards (lots of cleaners don't!). Miga is amazing. I was so happy to find this place opened, a few months after my boyfriend and I moved to Laurel Heights. She takes AmEx, they're not expensive, she and her team do a great job at drycleaning (I usually have a stain or tear from a drycleaner every 1-2 months and I've been going to her since she opened in early 2012/late 2011 - somewhere around there - and haven't had ONE issue), AND she is amazing at alterations.
