I've been here twice for my dry cleaning needs and I've been satisfied each time. I spilled tea on my new wool sweater and since I moved close to Nice N' Clean recently, it was a no brainer to stop by. When I dropped it off, the gentleman at the front desk informed me that tea stains are hard to remove but they would do their best. I gave them my wool sweater and hoped for the best. I went to pick it up around 5 days later and was pleased to see the stain has come out. My sweater looked brand new again! Looking forward to coming back for all my dry cleaning needs. read more

Been going here for a year, since 4/2025 after my last dry cleaners lost my shirts. When I questioned how they track shirts and my concerns, the older man/owner seemed to take offense at my asking this. The good is they didn't lose any of my clothes and it was on time. The bad news is, besides not being friendly or even telling me his name, is that I had a big red spots on my sleeve 4 months ago and I told him this wasn't there when I dropped off. Not only did he immediately state that it had to have been there at drop off but he did so without emotion. He didn't even offer to clean it again. I can't believe I foolishly continued going. On 4/24/26 I picked up my shirts. One of the shirts had a major amount of brown stains on it. Like coffee. But the shapes were so weird that even if it was coffee, it wouldnt be in a square shape outline for a portion of it. When I told him (can you believe I still don't know his name or his wife's name?!) these spots were absolutely not there when I dropped it off, he began to give me this speech denying it was not their fault of responsibility and it was there when I dropped it off. I told him this is the second time it has happened and don't you think i would notice it when I unbuttoned my dress shirt of which I have to take my watch off first. He didn't want to hear any of it. Cold, no emotion, it was disturbing. Again, he never made an offer to try cleaning it again. So bizarre. I told him that just prior to the last time this happened it seems you are using a new "plant" to do the cleaning. I mentioned that there is now a plastic clip on the shirts and you were aggressive in asking me to allow my initials on the shirts so the shirt can't be lost. He denied changing to another plant. I also notice this store isn't paying to be on Yelp anymore. A year ago, he was on Yelp as a highly rated dry cleaner. Why stop paying Yelp to be on Yelp? Lastly, this place is not inexpensive and you would expect to be treated better for how much and how long I've been there. I highly recommend getting your alterations done here if you're local! This place is run by the two sweetest couple. They were both so nice and helpful when I was trying to get a few pairs of jeans hemmed. One of the jeans that I brought in had some metal buttons in spots that had to be hemmed so she recommended me to not get them hemmed because it would ruin the look of the jeans. The BEST service EVER! Hands down. Incomparable! I came in for the first time after we had a horrible fire in our apartment and my clothes were all stained with sticky soot and reeked of smoke smell. I found Nice N' Clean via Yelp as I wanted a reliable place to bring in some of my high-end clothing for restoration. Not only did they do an EXCELLENT job in removing all the nasty soot stains but they also got rid of the triggering smell. Additionally, the owner was SO sweet to GIFT me a BOTTLE OF WINE. (!). Just wow. Speechless. His reasoning for the gift is that it was a gesture to help me in recovering from the fire. Rudest service that I have ever seen..... I was concerned about the suits I spent thousands of dollars on and decided to ask some questions while I dropped them off to ensure it's not going to get ruined. Especially after I saw reviews on how they had ruined ppl's clothes before, this old Korean man told me to look at the clothes in the shop and asked me why I didn't trust him. Am I supposed to give you my trust blindly. Can I not give you specific instructions for my clothes material as advised? He kept saying he is in the business for 20 years..... So because that no one can ask you any questions???? He became disrespectful & pretty much told me to leave, while I'm trying to be civil and understand his English..... What a joke..... Customer service is on point. There are multiple dry cleaners that are closer to my house than this one. I strongly prefer giving them my business even though they're a bit on the pricier side. They do a fantastic job communicating and getting the job done well. Regular dry cleaning is pretty expensive to others, but I usually go to the dry cleaners for alternations anyway. The owners are extremely nice and honest people. If it's not worth the money doing some alterations, the owner will tell you too. read more

Love this place! The alteration work that they do is impeccable. The owners are also very friendly and they remember me when I go back. What kept me going back in the first place is the fact that I gave them a really difficult dry cleaning job to do (someone spilled a drink on my silk shirt), and they managed to get it out without removing any color from the fabric. Yes, a bit pricey compared to other places, but worth the service and great work. I don't even bother looking at my receipt anymore. read more

First day of a three day business trip the button to one of my suits comes off. Without the time to change and needing to dress up for client dinner I searched out a local dry cleaners that did alterations. They were happy to help me out and completed the job in less time than estimated. When I inquire to what I owe him he said, "it was my pleasure to help you out, no charge". I am from out of town and without a prior relationship with this business, so there was nothing for the business owner to gain through this act of kindness. Without a doubt, the owners of this business are 2 of the best in the city. If one ever wanted to gain a true lesson in customer service that endears to the principles of class, generosity and respect, don't look any further. I haven't reviewed a business twice much, but I felt the need to after they went above and beyond this past weekend to help me with a pair of pants. I came in late Friday night realizing I needed major alterations and cleaning to pants. They reassured me everything would be ok, and had them ready by early Sat morning. Magic. On top of that, they were so gracious for my business they gave ME a bottle of wine as a Holiday gift. These owners are amazing. If only every business owner treated their customers like this. This business owner's one consistency is that she will smile at you, no matter the circumstance--even while she is screwing you over. Great. . .if you judge customer service by the duration of the smile. For example, I brought a 1-week-old silk blouse in, asking the owner if she knew how to clean silk of this sort. She affirmed (with a smile). The garment was designed in a crinkled style. So when the owner announced that she would iron it, I said "No, please don't. It is supposed to look crinkled." Flash forward to a few days later: The blouse had clearly been ironed flat and was FADED ABOUT 3 TO 4 SHADES lighter depending on where you look; the once rich, solid color was now a light, splotchy pattern. When I pointed this out, the owner (with a smile, of course) clipped my sentence with a rehearsed, "No, that's how that blouse was when you brought it in." I offered to bring in my matching scarf to demonstrated the color loss. She just handed me the blouse and repeated her creepy mantra and smile, "No, that's how that blouse was when you brought it in." I explained that I could show her the new version of the blouse as I purchased it a only few blocks away." Same line, same frozen smile, "No, that's how that blouse was when you brought it in." My shocked look was matched my her steely smile. . .and, she won. Because really, life is too short to quibble about a blouse. It did cost me over $100 (and I am not wealthy), but going to court is just not worth it. So, I let it go. But I WILL NEVER GO BACK. My suggestion: If you do decide to try this cleaner, photograph your garment and pin a copy to it so that all handlers are aware of its original state. Even Sharpie some instructions on the photo for good measure. OR, make your life easier and grant your business to any of the other hundreds of cleaners in the city. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Nice 'N Clean has been my go-to tailor and dry cleaner for two years now and I'll never, ever switch, even though I have to go out of my way to get there. Buying jeans is a breeze now, because as long as I get something that fits me at my hips and thighs, I don't have to worry about whether the waist and the length are right - I can just bring them in for alterations and they'll turn out perfectly. I've brought cheap denim and designer denim, they treat everything beautifully. Today I picked up a beloved shirt which I've been too nervous to take to a tailor for over a year now. This was a plaid flannel shirt with an enormous hole in the elbow which you could see from 3 feet away, basically my whole elbow was poking through. When I dropped off the shirt, she warned me that she wouldn't be able to fix it - only patch it - and that the patch would be visible. I understood completely, the fabric was in such a state, but I told her to do whatever she could since this shirt had sentimental value for me even if it didn't look great anymore. Well, I picked up the shirt today and IT LOOKS PERFECT. She managed to manipulate the flannel threads with the black patch and you can't even tell there was ever a hole, even looking up close. She's a witch, I think, because this is clearly magic at work. I would trust these two with every item in my wardrobe. Yes, they are pricier than other places, but it's worth it for the peace of mind knowing that they'll be able to get it absolutely right. read more

Beyond trustworthy and extremely friendly. Great service each and every time - not a single issue since Song took ownership. Willing to help you out best they can - once they stayed open an extra 20min because of my own stupidity (stuck in traffic) and flying out of SF early the next morning. I dropped off some wash and folds ($1.20 lb and they will use your detergent if you are a freak like me and only like one kind) and left $120 cash in a pocket, that I completely forgot about. When I picked them up a few days later David handed me the $120 and cracked a bit of a joke at my expense that I rightly deserved. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to take a chance and take my wedding dress here to be altered. It needed several adjustments, including removal and reattachment of the back zipper and buttons to take it in and some adjustments to the sides. I know these things can cost a fortune, so I was speechless when Seung told me how much it would cost: a mere $89. I don't want to set up unrealistic expectations for others--I do think this dress is a simple one as wedding dresses go, and a more complicated garment would probably be more costly to alter. But the fact that they didn't tack on extra fees just because it's a white dress won me over; I'll be back for future alterations! read more

I came to Nice N Clean based on the Yelp reviews, and I definitely have to agree that this place is great. I needed 4 jeans to be hemmed (darn my short legs) and I dropped it off on Friday morning, expecting it to be finished on Monday. I was completely bowled over when Song said cheerfully that they would be finished on Saturday. I picked them up at 3pm and she did a fantastic job. I will say that the price for the original hem is higher than most places ($25) which I'm sure will make some people cringe. But, given that I had two pairs of those jeans for free and two at a discounted price, it was worth the investment for me because of the results. If you have jeans you really value and don't mind the added cost, go here. I tried to tip and she refused!! So if I have any dry cleaning or mending needs in the future, I know where to go. I absolutely LOVE the fact that the store really is nice and clean! How refreshing - not to mention her and her husband are both very pleasant people. Definite gem in the tendernob area! read more

Minus one star since the woman who does the alterations is only there from 7:30a-11a and 5p-7p daily. Probably not going back, that being said hear me out. This lady is top notch, she knows her stuff, is prompt,takes care with your clothes, talks you through items when you drop them off. But they are an anti starch kinda place. I am a rodeo queen, we hail from the land of the cowboys and want our clothes to be crisp and snappy sun up to sun down. After practically begging her to take a pair of pants and launder/starch them she did. The job was decent and the price was average to slightly higher than usual ($7) but she wouldn't starch the other 5 pair I brought her claiming they were spandex and wouldn't starch. They also won't starch any colored shirts only white. I've been having my clothes starched since I was 13 and never had an issue, but since moving to the bay I have had a heck of a place finding a cleaners that starches well! I will just skip the cleaners and do it at home from now on. That being said I highly encourage this place if you don't care about starch (which most people don't). read more

Came in on Friday August 23rd, 2013 to drop off a few items of dry cleaning --- and was told they would be ready on Monday August 26th, 2013 after 5 PM. When I came back after 5 PM on 8/26/2013 --- the owners while nice told me that an employee called in sick; and the clothes would not be available till the next evening - which was the only reason I came to this dry cleaners. Going out of town --- I received a call on Tuesday August 27th around 6 PM that my clothes were ready and I came back on the next day, Wednesday August 28th to pick them up --- and was pleasantly surprised when the owners offered me a bottle of wine, Three Wishes Merlot ($2.49) at Whole Foods as an apology for being late. While they were a nice dry cleaners --- the cost of $14 to hem a pair of pants nearly double what "May Lee Laundry" on 1350 Grant Ave, San Francisco, CA charges makes me reconsider coming again as I could have paid $24 compared to the $42 that I paid at this location. read more

So I dropped off my pants to be altered back in the beginning of February. Due to lack of funds I just now picked them up. I tried to give a tip for being so nice as to hold onto my pants for so long but the sweet lady who I paid (think she's one of the owners and I feel bad I didn't get her name) but she refused to keep it. Told me it was enough that I come to her business. I can't help be impressed and grateful for someone who is genuinely good and gives quality customer service (and the tailoring was really well done) just because it's natural to them. The glowing reviews for this place are accurate. The owners really are nice and friendly. The positive vibes are felt immediately upon entering as you are greeted with smiles all around. Just the mere process of entering your information into their computer system initiates the warm feeling of being included in a club; when you return to pick up your items, you're given a laundry bag with a luggage tag attached with your name, a bar code, and the date you "joined." The other "members" that come and go have smiles as well, and are greeted by name. I noticed a box of dog treats on the counter, undoubtedly for pets who come by with their owners, as another yelper had mentioned. This little society of dry-cleaner patrons is one that I'm glad to have recently joined. I brought in a secondhand dress with a horrible cigarette smoke stench, skeptical that they (or anyone for that matter) would be able to remove it. When I returned, I gave it a whiff and was very pleased with the results. This place is sort of out of the way for me, but I don't mind the drive for my more prized items. read more

Once again I must thank my fellow Yelper's... I confess that when my girlfriend bought a $200 pair of jeans I was shocked (you must understand I like to spend my money on cars, golf and drinking). But when she needed the legs shortened I was worried. I've been to a few dry cleaners to get my own jeans (mine are around $50-$75) shortened and it's been hit and miss (mostly miss). After seeing the reviews on Yelp for Nice N'Clean we thought we give it a try. #1 We dropped off the jeans at 3:30pm on a Friday and they were ready by 5:00pm - no extra charge. #2 Cut to perfection and the stitching looks as though it was factory done. #3 The owners couldn't have been more helpful or nice. I really have to give props to the people that own/run this store. They have super excellent service and are genuinely nice people as well. We are from out of town staying in the city this weekend for a wedding and needed a cleaner to steam/press our clothes due to the fact that they were wrinkled during our flight over here. We turned to Yelp to find a good place to take our clothes to as we needed a quick turnaround on them. We called them and even though they were closing that day they said to still come by as they were going to be there a little longer. Luckily we were in short driving distance to this place from our hotel. So we headed over there really quick and dropped off our clothes which they said they would be able to take care of for us by the next day! We came back the following day and sure enough they had our clothes, cleaned and nicely pressed. You don't know how grateful you are for fast quality service when you really need it and you're away from home. Both the husband and wife that own this place are super nice and it didn't seem as if what they charged us for their service was adequate payment as their service far exceeded their price. If I lived here I would drive across town to take my dry cleaning to them. read more

There are A LOT of places to get your clothes dry cleaned and tailored in the city, but Nice N' Clean is hands-down the best! Trust me - at 5'1" I have to get pretty much everything altered. I went here based on the past yelp reviews and these other peeps were on the money. I went there because I needed to get a couple of pairs of pants altered. This place exudes positive vibes by the friendly smiles and clean interior. As I was changing my pants, a total of at least 4 people came through to pick up their clothes and all the exchanges were on 1st name basis and everyone appeared to be happy campers. Once I was ready to get my pants altered, Song showed me where she was putting the hemline and discussed my options. She even asked if I wanted chocolate while I was changing! Now the 5 star part. I dropped my pants off at 4:30PM and Song asked if I wanted the pants "same day". I thought she was kidding, but she was serious. I picked my pants up at 6:30PM (they close at 6PM) after she called and said they were all ready. They fit perfect and although I did not get any dry cleaning done here...on this experience alone my next dry cleaning is going here. read more

This is the best dry cleaners EVER. I am so sad that I have moved away and aren't able to see Song and her husband a couple times a month. It is organized in their store, and they always greet your with a smile. They are amazing at remembering your name, and I always feel like more than a valued customer when I visit their shop. They are very quick and efficient, their entire system is computerized, eliminating the chance of missing clothing. They also have a great tailor. I can go to a much cheaper tailor through my previous work, but the turn around time was a week. I was more than willing to pay a bit more for Song's tailoring services as she was usually able to return a bunch of clothes to me, professionally sewn, within a couple days. I miss them so much. They even gave me my own laundry bag with an ID tag for quick drop offs and pick ups.
