And Nestor had followed up on multiple requests I had to make a couple of adjustments so that our new system was running perfectly. It's 95F today and our new Bryant AC is running COLD air and holds it's own. I got estimates from multiple providers who wanted to rip me off because my furnace was broken on the coldest day of the year. Nestor gave me an honest quote and didn't give me excuses like "I need to do extra sheet metal work" or "your system needs a new flue". He figured out what was the best midrange furnace and AC for our house and quickly installed it so our house wouldn't freeze up. His installation was up to code. The Nest thermostat didn't work at first but when I mentioned it wasn't working, he came back the next day and fixed it. The aC and furnace he installed are quiet and energy efficient. He also installed a high quality air filter. I looked for leaks in his duct work and I couldn't find any. He correctly set up the condensate drip line to extend 1 feet past the foundation of the home. I do wish he put a more sturdy mat for my aC, time will tell if it shifts and he has promised to come back if I need any adjustments.

I had another company come look at the problem 2.5 weeks ago. I called them in the morning and the showed up a couple hours later. After looking at my HVAC, they diagnose the problem as poor air flow due to a dirty air filter. There was a fine white powder on the filter which made it hard to see the dirt. The white powder is a result of using a ultra sonic humidifier with tap water. They suggest to change the filter more often (every 30 days) and buy a different brand filter with a MERV 8 or 10 rating.

They said there was a $49 assessment fee to come out and look at my HVAC. (See attached screenshot of Yelp chat). When they got there, they assured me they could take care of the problem and would provide a quote. The visit ended with them charging me $219 somehow. I disputed the additional $170 with my credit card company because this is FRAUD. Even by their own invoice, they did nothing to earn anything past the $49 assessment fee and even that they don't deserve. They NEVER provided me with a written quote. Because I live in a condo building, they had someone call me back and say I would need to pay $10-15k to rent a crane so they could replace my HVAC system and that didn't include any materials, labor etc. Just the crane. They also said they would have to cut through my upstairs neighbor's unit for the repair and that I would be responsible for all of the costs of demolition and restoration. At the time, I was in a different state taking care of an extremely sick family member and when I asked clarifying questions about how they were going to do the HVAC replacement they just kept throwing out bigger and bigger numbers until I was deeply distressed. $10-15k for a crane, another $7k to run some tests on the lines that run to and from the HVAC system, an overall ludicrous quote of $40k--to replace an HVAC system!! They could've just said they don't want the job. They could've even refrained from following up. Instead they needlessly put me in distress and unjustly tried to take $219 from me while providing NOTHING in exchange. I ended up going with a different company who didn't try to take advantage of a young homeowner and didn't need to get a crane. Please don't go with this lazy, crooked company. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. P.S. I also had to ask for a time frame (see other screenshot). They said 9-11. Then I got a call at 7 am that day saying someone was on their way. As a frustrated owner of an older home, I have been experiencing the crazy, crazy cost of high energy bills from an older out of date HVAC system. My first thought was to buy a system that was larger with multiple speeds offering the highest SEER rating in hopes of bringing those bills down to normal. To make a long story short, I ordered the wrong system and ended up having to buy a second system that actually fit my space and current construct. AG came in, gave recommendations and replaced that old system with the new system as requested. AG went above and beyond to ensure that I was up and running as soon as possible.
