Just left Lavender Nail & Spa and had a wonderful experience. This was my first time here and I am usually very picky about my nails but they did a wonderful job! I did not have an appointment and walked in they were able to accommodate me fairly quickly. Amy was my technician, I had the deluxe pedicure with French. She really took her time and gave me the complete pedicure! Some places I feel really short you when you get the deluxe pedicures, the massages are not usually long or they skip a step but not here! The massage with Amy was long and wonderful and the French tip was precise and perfect! I think I have found my new nail salon and tech! Thank you Amy for a wonderful job! read more

I feel terrible leaving one star, but truly had such a bad experience. Went in for a gel mani and a pedicure last night. On two of toes, the man doing my nails cut very deeply into my cuticles. I bled during the pedicure (on both feet when it happened) and asked him if we should stop. He said 'no' and continued to use the same tools that were being used (not new sterile ones). Today, the area is bright red and keeps lightly oozing/bleeding. I'm a teacher and am on my feet all day long, so to have this happen (and right before the holidays) sucks honestly. Won't be returning and will be letting others I know go there, know about my experience. read more

I visited the salon on a Thursday afternoon for a gel French manicure. Helen was the technician who provided my service, and she was very kind and courteous. The manicure was rushed because there were several people waiting, but I was a bit dissatisfied with my manicure because within 12 hours, there were two chips on the tips. Within 3 days, there were several other chips. I would have loved to call back to the salon to get it fixed, but I was traveling at the time and wouldn't be able to go back anytime soon. I was disappointed because this has never happened for me with a gel manicure before, and my boyfriend proposed to me shortly after this manicure. Overall, the people are nice and the salon is clean, but the longevity was not what I expected and I suspect that this was only because of the rush in service. read more

Looks like I may be the only guy reviewing this place. Came in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a standard pedicure. The place is clean and the ambience calm. Was seated right away. Jessica gave me my pedicure and was friendly and professional. My nails and cuticles came out great, ready for flip flop weather​. My wife got a milk and honey pedicure and was satisfied with her results as well. Overall, we both had a relaxing experience and will likely return. read more

The salon is very nice and they keep all of their utensils very clean. The nail and cuticle clippers, etc, come out of sealed packages so you know they have been washed and haven't been used on other customers. Most of the staff was pretty friendly. I got an SNS powder dip manicure for the first time (Fu did my manicure) and it turned out really well. I am very happy with it. I also got my eyebrows waxed. Another employee at the salon did the waxing and I was pretty unhappy with this. You can't really tell when you're at the salon because you're still red and puffy but when I got home, I realized that it looked like I didn't even get them done! The tops of my eyebrows were unwaxed. I know the waxing is really based on the opinion of the employee doing it so I will make sure I stick with my normal salon for this since they know how I like to have them done. My manicure was awesome though and I highly recommend the powder dip. Very healthy for your nails. read more

Such a great salon! After being raised in MD (Montgomery County area) I'm so glad I finally discovered a great salon! Jessica is SO incredibly kind, and her work is beautiful! Exactly what I am looking for. For starters, they're clean. You notice that they Clorox and wipe down the pedicure and manicure areas after every customer. Also, their nails tools are opened fresh with every client. Which is something that's so important! Secondly, their work is great! Their gel acrylics are so thin - and look super natural! Jessica is amazing! She made my gel nails look like my very own! Also, after 4 weeks I felt bad taking them off because they had not chipped one BIT (just had growth). Their prices are decent compared to the area! Not too high, or low compared to other places I have been to. They have a very wide variety of colors to choose from as well! They also do the perfect match to gel for you, which is convenient. Lastly, I highly recommend making an appointment! They prioritize their appointments during busy times. This is nice because I always make appointments at other places and end up still having to wait forever - they prioritize you and request appointments only during busy times. When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly, "Hello, how may we help up?" I received a mani/pedi on my natural nails by Jessica. Before I could mention it Jessica noticed the water got cold and asked me if I wanted to add warmer water. She was very nice, chatted a little after the relaxing massage which was appreciated as it allowed me to really relax. She gave a nice long foot massage too. I got the Milk and Honey so to get a longer massage was nice since it is an upgraded pedi package from the basic. I LOVED seeing the nail clippers, and trimmers in Sx sterile packs and actually seeing the sterilizer in use. I am a huge germaphobe so a clean salon that actually sterilizes is hard to come by and a pleasant surprise. I like the artwork in the salon, very soothing. The dryers were so fancy they looked more like furniture than dryers. Jessica even filed my nails in straight square lines. You would not believe how many places do this wrong. A very clean and nice place. I will be back. read more

Awesome service! This is not your typical $20 pedicure/manicure spot. You will pay slightly more, $35 for a pedi and $25 for gel manicure.....BUT the customer service, ambiance & quality will surely be worth it. Lily is the owner and she is fantastic! Very welcoming and will remember your name after just one visit!!! I went to a nail salon for 10+ years and they NEVER used my name!! Some days/times/holidays are busier than others so call for an appt if you can but it is not necessary. Try Lavendar Nails....you won't be disappointed. p.s. If you are a teacher you get a discount! Like this salon, however, I noticed the manicure equipment is not sterilized or clean. The nail tech just tosses the equipment in her drawer and that's it. Worries me - hygiene. So getting a pedicure worries me too. I don't see the pedicure bowls being cleaned other than a quick wipe down. read more

I came in on a Friday night after work to get a pedicure and a full set of nails. I arrived around 6pm & signed in at the desk and circled pedicure and full set on their sign in sheet. I was only sitting a few minutes when I was asked to come sit and get my pedicure. I was very happy with the pedicure I received- it was basic but the leg and foot massage given were VERY relaxing and appreciated after the long day at work that I had. After sitting in the pedicure chair for a significant time after my pedicure was complete (almost 45 minutes) I had gotten up to use the rest room and upon returning to the same pedicure seat one of the employees must have noticed that I was *still* sitting there and came over to inquire if everything was ok. I informed them I was waiting on getting the full set I requested when I checked in and immediately everyone was asking if I was ok, apologizing, and saying how sorry they were that I was forgotten. At that point, I was not really upset, but slightly annoyed. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as the salon was busy, but still... I was seated and given the full set that I requested and while I wasn't 100% satisfied with the work that was being done, I was tired of being there and didn't feel like complaining again. The owner had apologized to me several times already and I didn't feel like having any sort of confrontation about the quality of work that was being done. The tips were not properly glued to my nails- my skin was actually glued to the underside of the tip in addition to the tip being glued to my original nails. I asked for the nails to be done short and thin (I don't prefer the look of the thick acrylic) and the nails are uneven in both length and thickness. Also, in using the rotary tool to file down the acrylic I now have scabs on 4 fingers from where the tool "skipped" off of the nail onto my skin near the cuticle line. I have no complaints about the quality of the gel polish that was used to paint my nails. It is rather lovely, and probably the one redeeming thing about my visit to this salon. When I was ready to check out I was told by Lily when she rang me up that my visit should have been $78 but because of all the trouble that I had she was giving me a discount and charging me only $67. At that point I still tipped in cash to the two ladies that did the work on my nails. I just wanted to get out of the salon and go home. I left the salon close to 9pm which was well after they typically close. I wasn't going to originally going to post a review but after going back and reading all of the positive ones on Yelp, I felt as though I need to leave my experience here as well. For the price paid I do not feel as though I got the quality work that I was lead to believe I would get based on the reviews that I read. More than likely I will not be going back to this salon unless it's for a pedicure only. read more

I have tried to come to this nail spa at least 5 times, all different days all different times of the day and they never can accommodate me. They have a big sign on the door that says "walk ins welcome" but it doesn't seem like they are. I will not try to come back as I am not welcome here. They are kind, caring and respectful and their customer service skills are impeccable! I have not been impressed by many salons in this area; however, this salon is the best! I have been ISO a nail salon for about a year now, and tried this one for the first time! It was great! I saw a young lady by the name of Moon, she gave me a milk and honey pedicure ($35) and a it was amazing! She didn't give the 30 second foot massage and scrub she took her time and applied the scrub and took about 5 min on each foot/leg AND gave me a nice long foot/leg massage when she applied the body butter! It was amazing! Her cuticle work is spectacular she didn't rush she didn't cut me....that's the key....most nail salons rush you through to get to the next client! Not here! I also had gel polish removal ($5) and Gel polish change ($15) a gentleman helped with the removal while i was getting my pedicure and he cut and filed my nails. I didn't get a manicure because i had one a month prior and i don't need them often. Once Moon finished my pedicure she applied my Gel polish! AGAIN she took her time, applied the polish over my entire nail and they LOOK AMAZING, my nails look as if i got a manicure! I highly recommend this salon! It was clean, peaceful, i was offered a beverage and everyone was friendly and i believe in tipping WELL in CASH for great service! I have been to multiple nail salons and this is my new favorite. My gel manicure lasts and looks fabulous. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The owner is there every day of the week to ensure customer satisfaction and consistent results. I've never made an appointment, although it's definitely a good idea. I had to come back later one day when they were packed but they scheduled me for an appointment and it wasn't a big deal. Walking in without an appointment most days isn't an issue, but with any business there are some times when they get a mad rush and can't accommodate another person.
