i'm a sucker for mediterranean food so if there's a new one in town, you better believe i'm gonna try it! because i love the cuisine, im pretty biased and don't think ive had many bad experiences, since most of the food is fresh. The options were staples and they did them well. As a party of four we shared a kebab and kafta with a fattoush salad and batatas on the side. Enough to satisfy all four of us! There's always a risk with getting chicken and it being dry, but i'm glad to report it was not! We also got the dubai chocolate cheesecake which was a great way to end. I was so incredibly blown away by this restaurant. It was recommended to me on TikTok and I had just moved to Georgia & was really looking forward to trying it out. I decided that night to treat my friends out for Iftar and I could not have picked a better place to break my fast in. My waitress was the absolute best, the food was sensational, nothing and I mean nothing, was short of excellent. Even the decoration, the ambiance and how the design layout of the restaurant reminded me of when I was traveling to the Levant during the hot summers as a child. To start, parking is terrible! They do have free valet but the lot is tiny and fills up fast. You can try to get street parking off to the side. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and decorated very nice. The drinks are amazing and the service was superb. My favorite was the ya habibi. We started with r he appetizer sampler and their falafel is flavorful and crispy. I ordered the lamb sirloin and my friend got the branzino. I ordered medium well not it was so overcooked and tough. But the rice and salad was delicious. I would definitely return, but I wouldn't recommend the branzino. It's not deboned so you spend more time pulling bones out of your mouth than actually enjoying it. read more

The falafel and hummus were good. The baba ghanoush was really smoky, and I didn't like it. I wish I had gotten the house salad instead of the tabouleh. The pita was way too thin. - Special Kabob Mix ($30): I liked the kafta, then the lamb, then the chicken. The rice and the house salad were good. The tomatoes and peppers were fine, but the onion was almost raw. The food was pretty good, but the prices are Rumi's prices and the food just isn't Rumi's quality or quantity. The sampler platter consists of hummus with sliced pickles, smoked baba ghanoush with pomegranate, olives, 3 falafels, tabouleh, pita bread. The olive oil they put on the hummus and the baba ghanoush was amazing! The lamb came with garlic sauce, rice, grilled onion and tomato. It was cooked very well and I loved it. I didn't have a lot of expectations when I walked in because there were barely any reviews at the time and the restaurant was pretty new. Anyways, our server was Sara, and she came up to us with this amazing energy that made us feel super welcomed. She told us about all the specials for that day and like a bunch of hungry animals, we ordered lots and lots of food! The food came out pretty quickly so we were happy. The presentation was on point and the food was phenomenal! Each and every dish we ordered, tasted fresh and had amazing flavors. The restaurant wasn't very busy so Sara checked on us multiple times. My favorite was the lamb shank- it was moist and tender. Try anything you like on their menu because there wasn't any disappointment. However, I did think that the pricing was a bit higher than what other restaurants are offering in the area. But we all know it's a hard time for small business owners; I'm not gonna complain about it as the food was delicious! I loved that we had the option to sit on their outside patio that had shade and lots of plants ! Super nice ambiance! We came in here after an hour drive to get here when they were completely empty. We came to celebrate a birthday!!! We were so excited to come and the lady was so rude!!!! She was setting a table up for us and it was done and we waited and came up there and she very harshly and rudly told us to go to the front door and wait for her to tell when she's ready. The way she snapped was so crazy we turned right around and left I came back in to tell her how she spoke was not ok and she cleared the table in span of a minute lol she knew exactly as she was doing. Layaly's food is always great, but Chef Paul came up with a great idea for the upcoming Halloween holiday. He served pumpkin hummus in a ceramic pumpkin, surrounded by "smoke" (dry ice), for a delicious variation on this Lebanese staple. This visual treat was smooth and creamy, and mild tasting without the Tahini in it. What a fun thing to do for dinner parties. It's always a pleasure to see what they come up with in their modern and traditional Lebanese menu. Service staff was great, and the new bartender does a mean Martini and Manhattan. I found out about this restaurant through social media and wanted to give it a try. I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and made reservation for 6 PM. It wasn't busy at the time however, it did pick up throughout the night. It's a small restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating (outdoor is a covered patio with fans and heaters provided). It seems like the restaurant only provides valet parking, but theres not fee. For appetizers, we ordered 'kibbeh nayyeh' which comes with pita bread and a few radishes. I believe the menu said it was going to spicy, but it wasn't. If you're into tartare, it was very good, light and easy to eat. I ordered the saffron sunset margarita which was good and my boyfriend got a mint lemonade- very refreshing with the freshly ground mints! For entrees, we ordered the 'chicken kabab' and 'rosemary & za'atar chicken' paired with basmati rice which they top with sliced almonds. Both entrees were good, but the rosemary & za'atar chicken was the winner of the two! You can really taste the herbs. Lastly, for dessert we shared the baklava. It came with 4 small bite size baklava with a few scoops of ice cream all topped with extra pistachios. I'm a huge fan of baklava and it was a great way to end dinner. I also have to give a shoutout to the waitress we had, Fatima! Since it was our first time there, almost everything we ordered was based off of her recommendation and we didn't regret it. She was kind enough to give us a sample of the honey harissa to pair with the chicken and it was great choice, I highly recommend trying it. We will absolutely come back again! Paid a pretty high price for mashed up chick peas ( hummus) and mashed up egg plant ( baba ganoush). The menu is a hodgepodge of the same ingredients put different ways. Bread is processed outside, baklava is dry. Service was mediocre. Ambiance doesn't really matter because the food was high price low quality. Lots of "know it all rookie" type ego and attitude and that resonates into the service staff. Really looks like they run an insurance business from the back office. read more

My husband had one of the best lamb dish ever. That time I thought since food is good it's worth the price. But I went recently and food quality has gone down. If I could give a rating in the half star range, I'd say this would be a solid 4.5 stars, but I'll round up based on a combination of the pleasant environment and the high level service. I had their most popular dish, lamb shank, which was very well cooked, albeit a bit under spiced to my taste. I think it was in keeping with Mediterranean cuisine, however, and along with the accompanying rice and salad, I did receive a tasty yogurt sauce, which I wasn't sure whether it was for the salad or the lamb. The rice was well cooked and had good undertones. The salad was fresh, though I was surprised to see no olives. I had a piece of baklava and Arab coffee for dessert. The baklava kept escaping my fork until the waitress/chef/owner told me that it was made with Manuka honey and meant to be eaten with my hands. I followed her directions and unlike most baklava, this didn't cause a mess once I picked it up. I got a refill on my Coke. The price is in line with what other places charge for food these days, which I'm still wrapping my head around. The coffee was delicious - probably enough to round up to 5 stars on its own...I forgot to take a picture until I was half done with it. In all, I struggle to think of a better Mediterranean place in Atlanta, though I'll admit it's not my favorite cuisine so I don't really seek it out. I'd be more than willing to come back and try some other things, here. Bonus: they have pleasant, covered outdoor seating. read more

We had an 8:30 pm reservation but had a little wait to get our table and there are currently only 3 very hard working servers and a small kitchen staff so things were slow to be served. Out meal came out at 9:30pm but IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! We the appetizer sampler, lentil soup, the beef bulgar appetizer, shrimp kebab with fries, chicken kebab with rice, beef sirloin kebab with salad, baklava and baklava ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious but the stars of the show were the lentil soup, falafel, kibbah, za'atar fries, and the house salad. The server said their business has picked up suddenly with social media exposure and they're working hard to keep up with the increased traffic. Found some reviews online and thought we would try it out. The food wasn't bad but I felt was expensive for what it was and parking was an issue. We got the Layaly Mazza appetizer and that was the best thing we ate. My Beef Kafta was fine but the rice was just ok and the Musakhan was good but the onions and sumac didn't combine well. The za'atar Fries where undercooked and over seasoned. The food just wasn't great for what we paid. Our server also just disappeared after we got our appetizer and we spent most of the meal trying to flag them down for a refill on our drinks. If you want better versions of this I liked Rumi's Kitchen or especially Chelo better. read more
