We have been here 3 times. The first was shortly after opening. The restaurant was busy but service and food were good. On our second visit, when the restaurant was half full, service was slow. When our food was delivered, the items were wrong and incomplete. The server apologized but never fixed the issues. Two days ago we tried again. The restaurant was nearly empty. Got to try their bison meatloaf and it was amazing! Never had bison before and it was a pleasant experience. The mash potatoes and spinach were great complimentary sides. Our children's preschool had it's monthly family fundraising dinner at Lazy Dog in NB this past weekend - they so kindly, and generously, extended the *usually one night* dinner to a full weekend event for us!!! Dana and Claire helped arrange a private room for a group of us Friday night and provided the best service and overall evening for our group of 30+ (including about 20 children)- the food was all top notch and brought out quickly and they even had little goodies for the kids for dessert!! So it my first time coming to this restaurant. My sister has told very nice things about this place. Walking in the atmosphere was very relaxing. It was like you were in the great outdoors. Our waitress was very helpful and explained each of our meals. I had the Moscow Mule which was a bit gingery, but real soothing. Well I returned today for lunch with my wife and granddaughters. It wasn't busy when we arrived and since it's a beautiful day we asked the hostess to sit outside. She reacted like it was the greatest imposition ever to simply do her job! Then instead of sitting us outside as requested she sat us in an enclosed porch next to a fireplace on an 80 degree day. Would have been lovely in February!! Next we ordered our food which was fine but we ordered the 15$ special that says " All Day Everyday " on a huge sign. Problem is that nobody told the waiter who informed us that it was only Monday--Friday and we weren't entitled so instead of arguing we ordered two sundaes for our disappointed granddaughters. When I called to make the manager aware of our very disappointing experience he didn't seem to care very much either. His attitude seems pervasive throughout and I won't be returning. Burgers are good and I had the giant meatball with penna 2 different times . The biggest problem is consistency of the cooking in the food. We had steaks served raw one time, burned pasta another time and wrong order or missing order. Now, they give you a free appetizer card BUT I'd rather have my food served correctly every time and cooked correctly. I was having a very stressful day at work and I went on my lunch break and forgot my wallet at work and I really needed a soda for some energy and he accommodated for me temporarily and let me come back and pay and I paid but he is very helpful and empathic and food is delicious and definitely coming here more often! Food - The apps were excellent: deviled eggs, tuna, Brussels sprouts, cheese fingers, all so good. Others a bit disappointing this time. We were 6 adults. Unfortunately ribs and trout were not very hot. A salt shaker was broken and allowed loads of salt on a salad, but server immediately brought another new salad. Another salad had extra dressing that had been requested on the side actually poured onto it. It was sent back, but the same one (we checked for mint removed from the first one) came back again with even more dressing on the side. The wedge salad had blue cheese on top, but no dressing on it all. Server was very accommodating. The place is spacious and pleasant with the dog motifs. We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, which were amazing! Throughout our entire visit, Edell constantly checked on us (without being annoying) and other staff did, too. We really enjoyed the wine and food. Additionally, I briefly mentioned that my mom's 91st birthday was coming up so we were treated to a wonderful butter cake! Tortilla soup was hot and very tasty and to our surprise Rachel (the manager we think) came by and welcomed us hearing we had not been there before. I was told they can't take a reservation because they needed to leave 2/3 open for walk ins, but that the wait would be about 15 minutes. Arrived and was told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. After 45 we were told they had written down the wrong phone number. At 60 minutes we were told we could sit separately around a fire pit. Since nobody in their reviews is being honest. I am going to. Funny how every single one of your reviews sounds like it has been written by the same person for your restaurant. All the same adjectives and descriptions are used stating that the "waiter was so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu" "best dinner they had" "made the evening unforgettable" ..... I am sure that these reviews are AI or written by the staff themselves. I will tell it like it is. I ordered chicken parmigiana with no cheese, (I have a dietary sensitivity). I go in to pick up my order, and immediately get harassed for money by the people behind the front desk. They aren't taking no for an answer begging me to buy a $50 gift card or a $30 gift card. Stating it didn't have to be for me, my aunt, uncle, mom, dad...etc. I politely declined numerous times. Then, they proceeded to hound me about buying a mug in a decorative box. When I declined in the red color they asked if I would prefer it in blue. Once my food arrived at the front, they automatically tacked on a 25% tip onto my bill which is astronomical considering all I was doing was take out. All they had to do was walk the food from the kitchen in a bag, to the front of the restaurant where I was waiting inside. Onto the food, the food was disgusting. There was no flavor to it. Not to mention, despite asking, and despite my food container clearly being labeled as "no parmigiana, no Romano" my dish was covered in cheese. After performing surgery on my chicken, I bit into what could only be described as a frozen or reheated chicken breast. The chicken was hard and chewy. The pasta was cold and mushy. I was disgusted and disappointed in the quality of food and the lack of flavor. The whole thing was not worth $24, the portion size was skimpy. I've had better meals at Noodles and Company down the road. Save your money! Better yet, I've had better food at McDonald's. Overall, this experience and food was horrible and with overpriced and subpar food I do not know how they will stay in business. read more

The bartender was very nice and took our order, but still not certain who was actually our server. We had to ask for our appetizer after our food came to the table, which wasn't good.
