We stopped here for dinner after walking around the Galleria. We considered some other places but Mi Cocina is pretty consistent and we like their food so we decided to make this our dinner destination. Our waitresss, Ana, was very good throughout our meal. She was efficient and everything came out correctly. I had my usual Double Barrel and it was excellent as always. The wife tried an Old Fashioned and loved it. A new fave for her. I had the tacos habana and they were excellent. The chicken was tender and was marinated very well. Very flavorful. It's an excellent meal and I have will have to consider that a contender every time we eat at Mi Cocina. The wife had the pollo moderno and really liked it. The chicken was moist and tender. The kid had cheese quesadillas and liked them. Overall, Mi Cocina came through with an excellent meal and service. I would return here again when we visit the Galleria. read more

Mi Cocina at the Galleria is one of my favorite places in Dallas. I love grabbing a table overlooking the ice rink, enjoying some of the best people-watching in the city, and making a day of shopping at the Galleria. My go-to order is the Sunset Enchiladas with a mocktail margarita, and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. Whether I'm meeting friends, taking a shopping break, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, Mi Cocina always delivers a great experience. Very good Mexican restaurant in the mall. Good service and lots of seating. We got the Cocina platter to sample a bunch of their appetizers. My favorites were the chicken quesadillas and flautas. For my main, I got chicken fajitas. It came out hot and fresh with guacamole, pitas, salsa, rice and beans. We had a very good meal and we were able to converse very easily, it wasn't a loud environment at all. Great place to have dinner inside the mall. read more

Awesome service and food!! Was out for a date day with my husband without our 5 year old. We were in the mall to try the Netflix House attractions and wanted to have a nice sit down lunch. This was my first time and I would highly recommend their handmade spicy margarita!! The enchilada platter with the chicken sour cream sauce really hit the spot! Best service received! The staff is very accommodating. Helped us pick a relaxing sofa side. Food was great. We had the Tacos Habana and Tacos Brisket. I personally liked Habana (chicken). We also had their Fajita which was exceptionally yummy. The server on duty was super cool, knowledgeable and friendly. He even gave us a bag of tortilla chips as we were marching out. Amazing food! Mi Cocina is located on the first floor inside the Galleria Dallas, in front of the ice skating rink. I ordered the Tacos de Brisket ($18.25) and chocolate tres leches ($9.95). Got complementary chips and salsa. The brisket taco was super delicious. Just meat and cheese in tortilla. Came with rice and salad. Rice was super good as well. The chocolate cake was not so good. The bread was soggy as if it got defrosted and the water seeped into the cake. The texture was not firm. Would recommend if you want really good mexican food. read more

Always love Mi Cocina! It's a staple for me. They have the best salsa maybe anywhere ever. The food is always delicious and fresh. The fajitas are great. The enchiladas are great. The quesadillas are great. Love the tortilla soup. They have a chili relleno that's not on the menu that is absolutely delicious. Never had anything here I didn't like. Twenty plus years ago, I had an office in one of the Galleria towers and I would go down to the ice rink level at lunch and eat at a place called Mi Cocina ("My Kitchen"). My favorite dish there was something I still remember to this day. It's called Mama's Chicken con Hongos. So here I am almost two dozen years later in the Galleria and what do I see by the ice rink but Mi Cocina, right where I'd left it when I moved away. The decor was just what I'd remembered. And what does it still have on the menu? (Aside from killer Margaritas?) You guessed it! Mamas Chicken con Hongos :-) And it tasted every bit as good as I'd remembered. Hongos means mushrooms. This is a perfectly seasoned, juicy chicken breast, thinly sliced atop a huge bed of sauteed mushrooms, onions and poblano peppers. So tastey! It comes out piping hot on an iron skillet, like fajitas, and it's served with Spanish rice and tortillas. It's delicious, very filling and healthy, I love it! Our server was attentive. The jalapeño-agave margaritas (in the rocks) were perfect. And we enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole, too. It was a very nice dinner in addition to being an enjoyable, nastolgic trip dowm memory lane. I don't live in the D/FW area any more. During girls shopping day we usually stop here for snacks and drinks. The food is standard MiCocina quality. Hanging out by the skating rink is a pretty cool feature. There is generally enough room for us and our bags without making it awkward. Our usual order to go with the chips and salsa is queso and flour tortillas. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer is another one of our favorites. I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this location but if you're shopping in the Galleria and want to have a Tex-Mex meal, come try it out. read more

Went here while on business in Dallas, Texas for a group dinner (about 40 of us). Interesting spot on the bottom of the Galleria. Chosen more for the ability to seat 40 people than the food, but decent place. Overall, pretty average Mexican with a few highlights. Not following proper Yelp review etiquette, I only got one picture ... of my meal, of course. Too bad, since some of the other items were much prettier. Live and learn. We started off with a variety of appetizers. The guacamole was very nicely done. I am assuming fresh in the shop, as it is nice and chunky and very fresh. I was not as fond of the queso, but I am not a huge fan of Tex-Mex, especially when there are Authentic-Mex options. This is likely blasphemy to Texans, so I will leave it at that. Could not eat the ceviche, as it was shrimp, but it was finished off quickly. My meal was the Ribeye al Carbon. A bit overcooked, but still tender, so not a huge issue (we also had a HUGE group, so the fact they could get this much food out that quickly is a huge bonus for the restaurant). The service was great. Always on top of things and making sure drinks were refilled. Not sure if that is the norm, as big parties spending $3 to $4 thousand often get a lot of attention, especially when alcohol is allowed in the mix. I am going to assume they are always this good, however, as I have not other experience. This is definitely a highlight. Would I go back? If I lived in this area, I would definitely consider it after trying other places. If I had kids that wanted to go ice skating (this is right next to the rink), I would be even more likely.
