Food was overpriced for what you got and the worst part is the food is NOT fresh! Ordered a chicken bowl with yellow rice ($16) and ahi tuna bowl ($18). Neither bowl was fresh. You can tell the food has been microwaved because the rice was dry and clumped together. It wasn't fresh fluffy rice, the chicken was DRY, and the tuna was over cooked. Avoid the overpriced poor quality food. The only reason they got 2 stars is because one waitress who went out of her way to help us while others just stared and didn't help. read more

Biggest complaint is that it is so dark inside at night! We could hardly see the menus. Hence why my pictures look like trash. The food is okay. I did like my salad after I dumped hot sauce on it but the teriyaki chicken wok left a lot to be desired. The word 'bland' was thrown around. I had a huckleberry mule because it seemed interesting. First time and it was great! The seating was comfortable and the fireplace made the ambiance perfect for my dining style! Upon entering we were immediately greeted and seated.. server brought our drinks and we ordered the hush puppies as appetizer.. these are more of a rolled potato pancake but they were full of flavor!! potato mash, bacon, jack, cheddar, onions, tapatío crema !! The Tapatio Crema made it for me. I actually had to order an additional side of it for dipping. Warning: it's spicy! I ordered off of the lunch menu which goes until 4 pm - - half of sandwich with soup. I selected the club - It was piled high with sliced chicken breast and had Crisp bacon, fresh tomatoes, mayo and lettuce .. I of course ordered a side of chipotle ranch for dipping... I love my dipping sauces! With it I had the chicken tortilla soup it was fantastic very traditional style loaded with tomatoes, cheese and shredded chicken and large tortilla chips on the side. We also ordered a PB&J burger ( grilled half-pound beef patty, candied bacon, havarti, peanut butter, grape jelly, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle ) although I do not eat red meat, I was told that it was out of this world! The fries have a light seasoned batter and we're crisp and flavorful and then we had a side salad the greens were fresh and the salad was hearty with in house made blue cheese vinaigrette. I really enjoyed dining here and will definitely be coming back! The atmosphere was fabulous. The service was fabulous and the food was fabulous. I didn't mentioned that they have a giant menu , so there are lots of offerings to choose from. I did not order dessert on this visit but the desserts looked amazing and next time around I will definitely be ordering dessert. We stopped in on this scratch kitchen called The Lazy Dog in Dallas/Euless. What a great find. Food was expertly prepared and delish. Service was crazy great too. Greeted with a smile on arrival and our server was top shelf. I do wanna shout him out, if I had gotten the receipt emailed. He knew the the offerings (and there are many foodie/drinkie options here) and great combos out of hand! Well done. That drink featured in the photo is a maple smoked bacon old fashioned. It's was quite tasty. They also have a variety of house and guest brews which my colleagues looked to love too! The Bison meatloaf was off the hook, full of flavor. The nest of onion rings on top and the cauliflower mash underneath .... Quite lovely! It also looked like the grilled chicken bowl was an excellent choice too. Oh, and we ordered sweet potato tots. I've always liked Lazy Dog but I took my Grandmother here for the first time and now I'm a huge fan! They were super busy so it took a while for a waiter to even come greet us or ask us for drinks but when he did he was so sincere and apologized at least 10 times. I told him it was all fine and that it was my grandmas first time there and he told his manager who ended up bringing us a free appetizer of chips that were amazing! We then got to talking and he realized I was pregnant and i told him it was my first child and 10 minutes later he comes back with a congratulations card signed by all the waiters with a $50 gift card included. I was so touched and thankful. He told me to use it for their to-go meals to make things easier on my family when my son is born. It was the sweetest gesture. Aside from the top notch/ above and beyond Customer Service, the food was amazing like it always is and the restaurant is always clean no matter how busy they get. My grandma (who is honestly so hard to impress) was so surprised and delighted by her whole experience. We cannot wait to come again!! read more

I stopped by here after work one day because I kept seeing ads on Instagram. It was around 5:30 pm, and the place was super busy for Happy Hour. I was greeted right away and seated in a booth. I let my server (a gal named A.P.) know it was my first visit, and she gave me first class treatment. She brought my beer - "Ankle Buster Blonde" - and my waffle chips with four choices of dips very promptly. I ordered the Bison Meatloaf, and was not disappointed. The serving was enormous, atop a bed of mashed potatoes and spinach and topped with onion strings. I *really* wanted to try dessert, but was full after eating just half of the meatloaf. A.P. brought me a box and a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert, and invited me to come back. I felt well taken care of and that me server appreciated my business, even though I was just a solo diner. The food was excellent, and my Ankle Buster Blonde beer was very tasty. This is such a fun spot! Its our go to burger/lunch spot on the weekends and dogs even have their own menu. Their pot pie seems to always be sold out when we go. My favorite thing here is the Sweet Potato Tots - OMG with housemade roasted jalapeño lime aioli - they are always so f***ing good. I also like the Southern Fried Chicken Salad its breaded chicken breast on a bed of mixed greens with candied walnuts, croutons, cheddar cheese, hard-boiled egg, charred corn, tomatoes, honey mustard dressing or ranch. My dog Stella, loves their chicken and rice bowl. You can pick brown or white rice and it also has peas and carrots. Very cute. We do like their weekend brunch, which we need to do more of! Breakfast recommendations are their Cheesy Eggs and Avocado Toast. It includes scrambled eggs, cheddar and jack cheese, some avocado with red pepper flakes on grilled French bread and your choice of hash browns or watermelon. We also like their Biscuit & Gravy is good. A buttermilk biscuit topped with chicken sausage gravy and fresh parsley! Weekend Mimosas are also fun here! We came here for dinner as we really enjoyed trying Lazy Dog when traveling in California, so we wanted them again while visiting family in Texas. We had our dog with us and sat outside on a chilly evening. They had the patio mostly enclosed, but eventually turned on the heaters. So, it was quite comfortable. What we got: Huckleberry Mule Cheese Curds Fried Deviled Eggs Bison Burger - we split and the kitchen kindly split it for us ahead of bringing it to the table. Apple Huckleberry Open Face Pie Everything was amazing and full of flavor. So glad we got to come to another Lazy Dog. I will point out that this location had much better service - our server was friendly and attentive, and the manager also came to check in on us, which just goes a long way these days. read more

I've had a couple different experiences here so I feel qualified to write a review at this point. The first visit, I popped into Lazy Dog while waiting on my husband to get off work and sat in the bar area. Lexi took amazing care of me. BIG fan of their late night happy hour, which is 9-11pm. I enjoyed their $3 16 oz Bud lights. They also offer a "cowboy up" option where you can get a shot with your beer for only $4 extra. In Austin they call this a "happy meal" but I have yet to find any other places outside of Lazy Dog that offer this. I also got one of their seasonal $6 watermelon margarita which had a tajin rim and was oh so good. Okay second visit when I wasn't just drinking. We got a smorgasbord of stuff off their happy hour. Got the chipotle chicken quesadilla- tastes a lil too chicken-y. I know that probably sounds ridiculous to most of you but for those that get it, get it. It tasted a little too much like chicken for me to give a super high score. Pro tip though if you do order this, get a side of the chipotle ranch to dip it- GAME CHANGER. Cajun fries were great and they came with the cajun ranch. Super crispy, well seasoned. Almost a bbq taste, really good. The bacon cheddar biscuits came out room temp which was kind of a bummer, but they still had excellent flavor. Sweet potatoes tots were good and the jalapeño lime aioli was so good. Almost indecipherable spice level but the flavor was excellent. Bacon candy was great, had that 'gets stuck in your teeth' quality, like peanut brittle but was really tasty. We also got the all American burger, which I thought was a pleasant addition to their menu. Very straight forward all American burger with plenty of onions and a big pickle. I'd visited lazy dog at a different location but met friends for a quick bite. It's more of a pub style restaurant, so lots of choices on the menu but nothing overwhelmingly exciting to try. We had 2 salads, the small ribs and some chicken cordon blue entree (4 people). Kevin the bartender was incredible. I walked in at 11:15pm (45 mins before close) He gave the same amazing service as I imagine he gives to every guest. He was an attentive, efficient, and a very kind bartender. The rest of the server staff was very friendly and engaged. On 4/29/25 They and him created a great atmosphere. Great service, the food is just meh. We bought a dog from the shelter to eat on the patio and I love how they bring out iced water for the dog. The bacon cheddar biscuits are strange and really didn't taste like much. We ended up feeding some of it to the doggo. The cheeseburger is fine, nothing to write home about. The Cajun fries are also fine, for as much seasoning that was on them, I would've expected more flavor. They offer a dog menu that's either chicken or beef with rice, peas, and carrots. I called to see if they could try to make it right by refunding since we were regular customers and they said no and they would do an "investigation". This was my first time dining at Lazy Dog, so I didn't have high expectations. Upon arriving, we were shocked to see so many people dining out. Especially because it was Father's Day and later in the evening. We were greeted by the hostess (her name slips my mind), but her personality was so charismatic and friendly. She asked, "Seating for how many, inside or patio?" Mind you, it's hotter than fish grease outside, we're black, and my edges were already on life support‍ I replied "Babii, we black who sittin' outside, not us." In my humorous tone She looked at me, and lhh. She showed us to our table where we were immediately greeted by Andy, our waiter. Our order was simple a cheeseburger w fries, chicken lettuce wrap meal, and two waters. I appreciated that he came back out to explain that the kitchen had run out of the normal larger burger patties. And were using two smaller patties to substitute for the size. Which was perfect for my lady because she eats smaller portions. Andy was all over the place, but he made it a point to continuously check on us. At one point, he thanked us for being so nice and understanding. To which we said, "No problem we're simple people, which led to us discussing how busy they were compared to last Father's Day when they were slow. Before we left, the hostess came to say thank you for our kindness, which made the beginning of her shift easier. And gifted us a free appetizer for our next return.
